"Serving since 1999, this Thai restaurant is focusing on its East Village spot, having shuttered its Hillcrest location. With indoor waterfalls and Buddha statues, the ambiance adds a bonus touch to the happy hours and lunch specials. Choose from drunken noodles and a variety of curries. Dinner is equally memorable with chef dishes like sea bass in pesto-lime sauce. Pair with local or Thai beers or their eye-catching cocktails." - Helen I. Hwang

Lunch specials start at $9.95 which includes several curries (with rice), and tofu. Also can choose from several noodle dishes at the same pricing (but no rice). Soup, small salad, and fried egg roll come with each special. You can sub a different protein for $2-4 depending on your choice. The food is delicious. Medium spicy here has a bit of a kick. Service was excellent and when I order unsweetened iced tea (fresh brewed), they give me a carafe or extra glass of iced tea, so I don’t have to ask for refills. Most recent visit they had cover bands for 70s yacht rock playing over the speakers but it was quiet enough to converse. Overall an excellent experience.

Great Thai place to dine in by yourself or with colleagues/friends. Good ambiance and food portions are generous too. Great service by staff. Everything I ordered was tasty except that the chicken for the rice was really chewy.

Tasty food and good service. Reasonably priced also. Loved the Tom kha coconut soup and the drunken noodles the most. Would go back.

I wouldn't eat here again. Nothing special, especially for the price. Food was sub par at best. Server was friendly. The drinks weren't stand out. Food is most certainly overpriced. I would recommend eating elsewhere, to be honest.

This is an unethically running operation. The restaurant has agreement with the Passport app. They are supposed to give %20 off to the customer who has the passport app. My wife and I dined at this place yesterday, I wish we didn’t. They gave the %20 off and add %20 gratuity fee without telling us. I paid gratuity plus %20 tip. So, they bring the customer by using the %20 discount for the Password app users but they overcharge you once you order. it is basically unethical and unprofessional. There are so many other great restaurants, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Overall, this place was only OK. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which was very nice, but unfortunately the food was only okay in taste and selection. There are some options available for vegans, but the quality wasn't what we were expecting. We were very disappointed with the sauces they included - all were sweet & sour sauce as a base with different ingredients added. So for example, the peanut sauce was really sweet & sour with crushed peanuts. Likewise, the plum cucumber sauce is also sweet and sour with what appears to be cucumber, peanuts, and garlic. Very basic variations, and very basic food, with very little effort put into presentation or the end result. Their lemongrass tea was also very weak, with almost no lemongrass taste to it at all - it honestly felt like I was drinking water that was lightly sweetened (only because I had asked for syrup to be added). Simply put: the quality of food was not worth the price paid.

The perfect place for a blended family of meat-eaters and vegetarians. Delicious food and attentive/friendly staff. I get the yellow curry with chicken which is a classic move but still undeniably amazing.

You cannot go wrong here. This to me is a staple here in San Diego with multiple locations and a great lunch special this is hands down my go to spot for Thai food. nothing to fancy and the prices are very reasonable.
