Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

In general food was decent. We like the salad, nice potion, medium size was plenty good for party of 4. Fried calamari was ok, the wings were good. But our deep dish pizza (the Lou with pepperoni) tasted more dough than cheese which was a bit disappointed. Was expecting more cheesy taste.

So ordered on line from Florida for a valentines dinner for my daughter. I made a mistake on time zone and called every day, including today to confirm with Larry the manager for a 6:30 delivery. He assured me that all was good. My daughter texted me at 6:53cst asking what was going on. Tried to call and on hold for 15 minutes. At 7:00 was notified my order was canceled! What kind of service is this? I placed the order on Wednesday. The most inexcusable excuse for customer service! This shop should be closed if they can’t honor their orders! No excuses- not a last minute order! So my Valentine’s Day meal was not delivered - left hanging with no dinner for a half hour. For you parents with 3 children and no food- you judge! - talked to Manny one of the managers. He did try and make it right. If goes as discussed- will feel better about the outcome.

Totally disappointed! First time we order from here and would be the last! We usually order Dante’s or Giordano but this is literally in our block so we decided to give a try. Big mistake spend $66 on bad food is aggravating order a pepperoni deep dish the completely tasted like frozen old pizza, spaghetti pasta the sauce tasted so sour and bad my kids couldn’t eat it, buffalo wing the end up been BBQ sauce and $3.15 for a tinny bottle of Pepsi what a shame. I will keep ordering from our regular place. We end up spending more money ordering somewhere else since this food was so bad wrong in taste so sad. We try it for been so close but never again.

I've ordered here a few times, and it's been a good experience. This last time, they didn't cut my pizza. On the other hand, it tasted great. They have thin crust which we like and also deep dish a must try. I ordered the application and pickup, and usually, it's not too far off on the timing. They have plenty of parking, and it's easy to pick up. I don't think they do curbside, and if they do, i haven't used it. Overall, I've had good experience with the food so I'll keep coming back.

I usually pick up from a different location but decided to try this location since it was slightly closer. The pizzas were ready in the time promised. The thin Lou was fine. My personal size Malnati Classic had no sauce on it! None of those delicious vine ripened tomatoes. I was disappointed. I will go back to my original pick-up spot.

I ordered a deep dish and wings, and there was a little mixup with my order. The driver Martez was awesome and fixed everything, and the store called me and made it right. Lous is great. Awesome pizza and good service. Shout out Martez!

We ordered a xtra large sausage pizza and 2 12 wings order. the pizza was not cut up I had to cut it or freshly made seem and taste like it was frozen thrown in oven and wings were xtra dry nearly any sauce we didn’t get food worth for what we payed for

My go to pizza all the time. "The Lou" deep dish with extra sausage, extra cheese and basil. Toppings so heave the cook came to tell me it can't be cut, and it's heavy. Cooked to perfection as always. Can't say enough good things about Lou Malnatis. It's a staple at our dinner table once every couple weeks.

I am glad there is a location not too far from my house. I always do pickup. My orders are ready on time, accurate, and food is good. And customer service is always great.

Are you kidding?! Ordered a traditional Valentine's Day dinner for my daughter and grandkids. I realized that the time was then EST and called Everyday to confirm the correct time including today. Talked to the manager around noon to ensure all was good for tonight- was assured by the manager all is good for tonight for the 6:30 delivery time. Got a text from my daughter at 6:53 asking if they are still getting dinner tonight. Called- on line for 15 minutes, meanwhile, during the call- got an email that my order was cancelled at 7p. Really???? A hungry family waiting for a half hour now with no dinner!? Are you kidding me. This is truly the most unprofessional establishment- this store should be closed or better staffed to handle orders that have been confirmed! Update- talked to the manager- they are trying to make it right. Hopefully this will happen and I will update my review.

Service is great, people are nice, food is hot. Ambiance doesn't count because it's just a takeout location. I guess I just don't agree with how Lou makes pizza. The deep dish was just kind of lame (compared to Giordano's). It was thin, had some toppings, a fair amount of water seeped out when we cut into it. The flavor was good, but compared to Giordano's stuffed pizza, it paled in comparison. The Thin crust was weird. Kind of like a thin, very shallow pan pizza. Toppins right up to the edge was great, and lot of them, but overall I just wasn't a fan. It was between most places thin crust and their hand-tossed, but the crust was kind of like a pan pizza crust. Just not my thing.

Visited Lou Malnati's in Logan Square last month on a Friday night around 9pm. Went with my girl to get some pizza and was told that there would be a wait. I wasn't sure about waiting considering my girl wasn't feeling well and she needed food! Craig, the manager, took it upon himself to walk with me to my car and bring my girl a cold drink and a salad. I was really thankful, but more so amazed by the customer service that I rarely experience these days. The whole staff was friendly and more than accommodating. Craig even offered us a dessert and we accepted--tiramisu- exquisite by any standards. As for the pizza, ate half of it in the car on the way home, it was perfect. Very pleased we decided to visit this location. Thank you Craig and the entire staff for making an experience out of a simple "pizza order." Well Done!

Pizza-pizza-pizza!!! Chicago style Deep Dish is one of this establishment's strengths!!!! Ordinarily I prefer thin crust, extra well done pizza. I was with my family getting ready to do a pick up of multiple pies to feed 15 of us dinner. My niece had ordered a variety of toppings on 3 Extra Large Traditional Hand Tossed Pizzas and 2 Large Deep Dish. She had also ordered a beautiful family size garden salad, bruschetta and some thinly sliced baguette. Everything was so delicious !!! I chose a big slice of one of the Deep Dish Pizzas-it was topped very simply with sweet cooked Marzano tomatoes and some sweet onion. It was honestly one of the best slices I've ever had. The salad was perfectly dressed with an Italian vinaigrette, nice and fresh -also delicious!!!! Other family members were enjoying slices of the differently topped pizzas. There were no negative comments, everyone enjoyed the meal!!! When we return to Chicago, we will definitely be going to one of the brick and mortar locations to eat. We strongly encourage you to give it a try !!!!

It was delivered and it was delicious! The crust was biscuity flaky just the way I like it. Toppings and sauce we're competent. Next morning out of the fridge still tasted great. I will definitely buy from them again when I'm in town.

Our first time trying deep dish pizza! This is the perfect place to go, the service is quick and the inside is just so pretty!! My mom and I got a size small to share between the two of us and it was the perfect amount so that we were not too full or hungry. I recommend getting a size medium if you are sharing with someone else and are more hungry, though. I now understand the hype around Chicago deep dish pizza... hopefully they have some like this in Texas. Probably not.

Ordered twice from this location and received wet, not fully cooked thin crust pizza. We are huge Lou's fans and will try the Bucktown Damen location again. Management didn't seem too interested in feedback.

Ordered delivery. Nobody does pizza better and the salad was great! New store near us so delivery was fast!

Pizza is good, but way over priced. Listed a large thin crust sausage for $25 and then charged extra for sausage to make it $29. We're talking the equivalent of a $10 pizza anywhere else.

The pizza took an hour and a half to get here, the driver left it outside on a busy street with no Novus to me. The food is cold.

So happy there's a Lou's in the neighborhood. I've already ordered once for pick up and it was faster than I anticipated. This is gonna be our go-to spot from now on.

So upset order on New Years Eve pizza was cold despite they said if I had uncut pizza it will reserve the taste etc of pizza which wasn't so has cheese was hard and pizza was cold. Was planning on having a great meal to close out the year by not cooking and wished I had cooked.

Same as another comment.. we've ordered twice from this location and received wet/soggy thin crust pizza. Even when requesting it be well done. This was not our experience at other locations.

The first 2 times I ordered delivery pizza from this location (Logan Square), the pizza was a little under cooked in the center of the pizza, but still overall pretty tasty. The third time I ordered, the pizza took an hour and 20 minutes to arrive & im literally 8 blocks away. The pizza arrived cold & raw in the center. I assumed they may have had an overly busy night & rushed the cook time & maybe short on drivers. Tonight we have it another chance. Again, an hour & 15 min wait time. I opened the box to a cold, tasteless, no sauce, dried up pizza.. I could count on 1 hand how many sausages were on it. A $5 frozen home run inn would have been tastier than this $28 plus $5 tip= $33 piece of cardboard. My boyfriend was so mad that I ordered from them again! Waste of money.. my kids are eating pb & j right now cuz our pizza dinner was a complete fail. Going back to La Villa. Sorry I ever went astray from them!
