"From the team behind Paperboy, Loudmouth is a pizza restaurant and bar just a pie’s toss away from the popular East Austin brunch spot. The menu features lots of pizzeria staples, including metaballs with focaccia, arancini, wings, caesar salads, hoagies, and, of course, pizza. On the drink menu, you’ll find a mix of classic and house cocktails, a small wine list, beer, and a few frozens." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs
"Loudmouth is the type of casual neighborhood Italian joint you’ll find yourself drifting to the next time a craving for meatballs, Neapolitan pies, or Italian subs hits. It’s right across the street from its sister restaurant, Paperboy. But unlike that buzzy brunch spot's hyper-modern design, Loudmouth is set in a cozy, renovated old house, complete with a front porch where you can look out over the block while enjoying a glass of wine or a cocktail. Pizza is the real reason you’re here though. Order the “Hot Boy Summer”—topped with pepperonis, pepperoncinis, and hot honey—and get ready for incredibly chewy, blistered crust that you’ll be thinking about long after dinner is over." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs, matthew jacobs, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, nicolai mccrary, ni
"This pizza joint is located in a beautiful historic building in Central East Austin that seems too pretty to be kid-friendly, Loudmouth serves excellent Neapolitan pies, sandwiches with some of the best homemade potato chips on the planet, and other Italian-American dishes. There is also a kid’s menu with pasta and pepperoni-grilled cheeses if the kiddo isn’t feeling pizza. The inside is decorated in the style of an old-school Italian American restaurant, with Tiffany-style lamps and family photos, but it’s a little too cramped for kids, so eat at the spacious beer garden on the lawn. It’s outfitted with a kid’s play area and toys." - Erin Russell
"The team behind very popular brunch restaurant Paperboy got into the pizza game with its new neighboring kid-friendly casual restaurant in Central East Austin in early November. On deck are wood-fired pies, hoagies with meatballs or fried green tomatoes, and other Italian Americanish dishes. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Brittany Britto Garley, Nadia Chaudhury
"From the same owners as Paperboy (and right down the street), Loudmouth is where you go to split Neopolian pizzas, saucy meatballs, and a delicious caesar salad in a renovated old house. It’s walk-in-only, but it’s worth the wait if you’re there when things are busy. (Alternatively, Hillside Farmacy is a solid back-up option next door.) There are plenty of East Side bars nearby should the mood for a nightcap strike when dinner is over." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs
