L&J has been one of my favorite pizza and pasta spots for a long time. I’m not sure if there’s a new chef or what but my buffalo chicken pizza for the second time just came awfully made. As if the chef just through all the ingredients on and didn’t care. Definitely not the same quality if you bought a premade slice. You can’t even properly pick up the slice cause it’s soaked in buffalo sauce. I understand one bad pie but two times is unacceptable. Especially seeing my daughter loves their pizza. I hope this reaches management so it can be addressed.

Let the chef cook! Lou and Johnny know exactly what they are doing. The severe the runners the chef the host everything was perfect. Perfect service amd my son loved his chicken parm with penne vodka sauce to die for my seafood was served so fresh and then expresso was to my liking the crepe with gelato yummy perfect service atmosphere my son thought he was in a Italian movie

Gigi!!

Google
A pretty fancy italian restaurant. The food is on the pricey side however the food itself doesnt meet the price. The pasta was any ordinary pasta, and they provided just regular sausage, something that could be made at home. I would come here for a more calm, ambient atmosphere, as this place provides nice lighting and music.

Love their food. The food always great. The lunch specials portion is good size. . But I don't know why every time I go pick up food for dine in, I always feel they are not that friendly.

Google
My first time here, and I will definitely be back. The portions are huge. The service is friendly and attentive, and every bite was amazing.

Google
We felt basic ordering the chicken parm but our server, Kerry, assured us that it was a solid choice. She was right - thin and crispy cutlets with delicious sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. Wonderful atmosphere and service. Will definitely be coming back!

Google
Nice atmosphere, great service and excellent food. Zuppa di pesce was off the charts. Loads of assorted seafood in tomato sauce on lots of pasta. Great desserts too.

Google
This place has a quick take out side and a dine in restaurant. I sat in the restaurant part and the food was delicious. I had the chicken Alfredo and it was one of the best. I loved how the restaurant serves salad and warm bread as an appetizer which was really good with the food.

Yelp
Ok, last few times, I rated them pretty low. Deservedly so. Their pizza was not good. Today, my niece ordered chicken francese, penne alla vodka, and salad. The chicken was pounded as thin as Twiggy, the sauce really lemony, and the penne alla vodka among the best I've ever had. All six of us agreed. 4 and 1/2 stars. Just steer clear of the pizza.

Yelp
Placed a lunch take out order from the restaurant recently. While looking at the menu I felt they were a little on the pricier side but decided to give them a shot. I ordered eggplant parmesan with spaghetti. My order was ready when I arrived and was so hot I could feel it through the bag. When I got home I couldn't believe how much food I had! There was a complete tin of eggplant parmesan covered in cheese and a tin full of spaghetti - enough for at least three servings. They also threw in some soft Italian bread which was warmed just by being the bag with the food lol. Everything was delicious! The only negative I could give is that the spaghetti could have a little bit more sauce on it but other than that it was delicious! Definitely worth the money considering the portions and I will by back!

Yelp
The food was 10/10. From the bread to the salad to the main course, I ordered the linguine with seafood, was absolutely spectacular. Every time I drank a sip of water, the waitstaff was ready to refill my glass. I've never been this hydrated in my life and I feel great. The seafood linguine was so damn good, the scallops were crisp and plump. The calamari was euphoric. Every damn thing about this place was top notch. Whoever runs this place and hires the staff, the cooks, and even bussers, God bless. You went in to the right damn business. Best Italian place I've ever been to and it ain't close. Not to mention I was in a group of 28.

Yelp
Recently ordered take out from this place. I have never ordered from here before but I saw the great reviews they had and the great reviews they should continue to have! This pizza was the Grandma style and omg I fell in love. So much flavor paired perfectly together! Picking up was very easy, the staff were very kind although our interaction was short. Inside is clean and easy parking only about 10 feet away. Would 100% order or go again!!

Yelp
Had a great experience at Louie and Johnnies. I have been coming here for years since they were located on Central Ave and have never been disappointed. Some street parking located in front, valet parking available in back. Beautiful updated decor on the inside. The staff is always great and constantly checking in on you. The two best reasons to come here: the taste of the food and the portion size. You definitely get your moneys worth. We ordered the Bowties Florentino and Chicken Sorrentino. Both were great choices. The chicken was layered nicely with the eggplant and prosciutto. The sauce was delicious. I made sure to save some bread to sop up any sauce lingering on the plate. The Bowtie Florentino was also very delicious. More shrimp than I expected to get. Overall amazing experience and can't wait to come back for Westchester's best Italian food.

Yelp
I can not speak highly enough about this place!!!! I've been a loyal patron of Louie & Johnnie's since 1988. Anything you order is amazing. Story time... during the pandemic I was able to order food to my mom's house with a bottle of wine to make sure she was eating good was a godsend. Like I said love this place.

Yelp
Will never forget this birthday/son's baptism celebration as my family and I were disparaged by owner and treated so badly because of their ridiculous arrangement. Upon us sitting down, my niece and sister heard him say "We were going to be a problem!" Apparently all because my party of 13 also wanted to order pizza in addition to entrees. This man was so rude as you will see in video that he had explained to my sister that we couldn't order pizza if we sat on the left side of restaurant?? I still don't understand. I said to him, "Your loss!" & he said, "No my gain!" I said, "No, you just lost money!" We just came in from church to celebrate and the absolute audacity of the owner to treat us with disrespect and contempt because of their ridiculous policy was undeserved. If you are not Italian do not waste your money here. We were not welcome. And the owner made sure that we knew it. My Puerto Rican & Sicilian family did not have a sign that said we were also of italiano descent. My family is of all shades and that might of triggered the uncalled racism we experienced. The disgusting behavior of this big older man is beyond shameful. We had my mother in law in a wheelchair and 2 small boys, who endured this man screaming at us that we should have known we couldn't order pizza because he explained it 3 times!!!! How unbelievable that you have a restaurant and you can't order a dish because you sat on the wrong side??? Is it 1960??? Was this a segregated restaurant??? Did we just enter Woolworth's??? I'm so confused, disappointed, disheartened and shocked!!!

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of this place. The overall foods are all very salty, even after we ask them for no extra salts. They do offer complimentary breads and salad, but the food quality itself isn't the best. I ordered black linguine with seafoods and the seafoods were quite Sandy. I can taste the texture which means they didn't really wash them very well. I don't think I will come back anytime soon

Yelp
Just ordered this pitiful tray of food, spaghetti and meatballs, THREE MEATBALLS for $23, makes no seas seeing as the side order of meatballs has 5 in it, this has no Mariana sauce and pile of spaghetti thrown on top, absolute complete cheapskates, you wanna be a cheapskate restaurant and skimp on your portions I'll make sure everyone knows about it.

Yelp
Auntie-in-law and cousin-in-law SWEAR by this place. So much so, waiters flocked over to our table to say 'hi' to them the Friday night we were here. Cousin-in-law treated hubs and I- and we, did not decline. Louie & Johnnie's definitely freshened up their look from the last time hubs and I visited. In the past, Louie & J. had a dapper look with white tablecloths, dark window treatments, etc. Now- Louie & J. is sporting an up-to-the-trend appearance: rustic wood-look tabletops, walls that were once yellowish color, now have an almost neutral, cafe au lait and curtains were tossed out and replaced by an earthy stone facade elevating the entire dining room. Mussels in garlic sauce starter were fantastic. We all got our own serving and used some of the crusty bread to sop up the sauce. Their own version of an "Olive Garden" salad was great and enough for us 4 with a simple oil+vinegar dressing. Between auntie-in-law's Eggplant Rollatini, cousin-in-law's Shrimp Parm, hubs' Chicken Francese and my creamy Tortellini Della Nonna (without pork)- we all had a field day. My Chocolate Mousse was a showstopper and so were the other desserts. And if this spot was a hop, skip and a jump from us, we'd be here several times a week. I kid you not. These folks maintain their reputation as one of the best Italian restaurants in Westchester. Look no further.

Yelp
I was here over a decade ago for a family funeral lunch.Sorry to have waited so long to return. My bf and I were so happy to be here on a Sunday night. We went to a restaurant around the block and left bc it just wasn't what we were looking for despite decent reviews. L an j was excellent! From the entire waitstaff and Freddy our server to of course the food. The warm crusty sesame bread won me over immediately. Both of our dishes were hot and sizable. They give a large salad with olives making it all a good value. We had the stuffed rigatoni and Siciliana lasagna which has a slice of eggplant on top. Excellent, although I could have used another ladle of sauce and the cheese wasn't melted on top of the rigatoni. The waiter incorrectly brought us fried artichoke hearts as opposed to the artichoke and shrimp oreganato app which I was dying for. He graciously apologized that he made an error. The tiramisu was homemade and not to be missed. There's valet parking behind the restaurant and street parking too. It's not noisy and they play Italian music which is a great touch. They're not pushy and the setting is lively as opposed to romantic. Enjoy!

Yelp
It was a long wait to be seated, but good service and great food. The potato croquettes are a must.

Yelp
I really wanted to give it 3.5 Stars but I rounded up rather than down. The bread was extremely fresh. We ordered the baked clams and they were extremely disappointing. The clams were huge and fresh which is great but they were drenched in lemon. It killed the flavor. The lobster ravioli was great. The ravioli was fresh and filled with lobster. I really enjoyed it. The penne vodka was also good and fresh but the dish was extremely dry. Service was great.

Yelp
Delicious food. Great service. Cool ambiance. I come here all the time with family and we always enjoy our food and our time there

Yelp
Although the food was good and service was okay, the business was very dishonest with their bill. They overcharged us and we had to dispute the bill. I highly suggest that review your bill before paying.

Yelp
Visiting my daughter at NY Presbyterian by Columbia University! Stayed at the Hyatt place and was Looking for a nice place to dine. Louie's and Johnnie's was an excellent choice! The food and service was delicious ! Angelo was a delight and a pleasure to interact with! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Came here because they were in the running for Best Pizza in Yonkers.. omg what a mistake.. The pie was horrible.. not kidding, the crust literally tasted like cardboard and the sauce was bland.. how in the world can this possibly be voted better than A&V, Pepe's, Dunwoodie Pizza, Dom & Vinnies, EuroItalia and in the running with Gino's (S. Broadway)?!?! I mean, this was borderline attrocious pizza.. never, ever will i go here again.. and Damn - Yonkers?!?! Really? This place must have spoofed their votes because they're not even close to respectable when it comes to an ordinary pie. People who are thinking they have found a new hidden gem that haven't had a pie from here before - comment here and prove me right or wrong..

Yelp
The food here is amazing!!! Very well prepared, great ingredients! Was recommended this place a while back, very glad about finally trying them out! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
The be est! Never disappoints. Chicken Rollantini is so good. Also the whole wheat pasta withe seafood
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Food was just decent. Nothing extraordinary. Especially for the price. I guess others think it's great as it was very busy on a Tuesday night. I had chicken Marsala. The sauce was very red and too thick and sweet. Just ok. We also had a zucchini flower app, and it barely had any zucchini flower in it. Also had the eggplant rollentini. Which was super light and done to perfection. The potato croquette was just ok. Also had a watermelon martini, which was very good but not worth $16. The zeppole was delish. Add to that a house glass of wine, spaghetti and meat ball, and a soda. 3 people ate for $180. Was good but not worth $60pp

Yelp
Great place to order Italian food. I especially love their avocado onion salad. I add some fixings and it's amazing. I haven't ordered something I don't like. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is literally my favorite pizzeria in Yonkers! I only had their pizza but I will try their pasta soon & update my review!!

Mary R.

Yelp
I have been so disappointed the last few visits. We had 2 salads which were ok but underdressed. The pizza was the Tre-Amici and it was drizzled with "basil" out of a tube. It was disgusting and ruined the experience. The 2 salad and small pie came out to $55 with a $10 tip the total was $65. I do not think I will be back anytime soon. The quality of food seems to have gone down combined with escalating prices.

Yelp
Food is delicious, I wish they would sell the salad dressing. I find the service a little rushed, I have been there 3times now and service is always a little rushed.

Megan B.

Yelp
We are loyal customers, but had such a disappointing experience. After ordering delivery, my 70 year old father accidentally forgot to tip the driver. An hour later, he suddenly receives a call from the restaurant asking if he wants to leave a tip. Feeling guilty and uncomfortable, he felt obligated to leave even more than he normally would have. While not leaving a tip was by accident, It is completely unacceptable for a company to call a customer after a delivery to ask for a tip.

M. K.

Yelp
First let me say that the food was ok, but please be careful if you are planning a lunch at this business. I had gone there, the week before, with a family member, for pricing information because I wanted to plan a funeral lunch for my mother's passing. Initially, I though the information, which we were provided with- was accurate and so subsequently, I decided to have the funeral lunch at this restaurant. However, upon our arriving and Ording at the restaurant, I discovered that information was not properly previously disclosed. Initially, we had been told that a party under 20 would have to order from the menu as opposed to price fixed arrangement. What we were not told was that we could not order from the lunch menu at 1:00 in the afternoon. We had to order off the pricier dinner menu. Although, the portions were quite large, we really did not require all that food at the high price. Had I known, and had this information had been disclosed to me, when first went there to inquire, ("that needed to order off the more expensive dinner menu at lunch") I would have gone elsewhere. On the day of the funeral, I could not move my relatives to another place and was stuck. Another complaint I had was that the wait staff seemed inadequate for my guests and myself. My heart is broken by the sudden passing of my mother, and it is also broken by the inhumanity that I experience at this restaurant, during my grieving. When I called today, and spoke with John, who I had been dealing with, I was told that it was a business and he thought this was fair. Well, there is nothing fair about "bait and switch" to a family in mourning.

Yelp
Was out running errands longer than expected yesterday and decided to give a little business to a local restaurant. Louie and Johnnies didn't disappoint. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana (this was big I took half home)and yes I ate it for breakfast.‍ My niece had the penne vodka and cleared that huge plate.hehehe For dessert I had the zeppole stuffed with cannoli cream and she had the crème brûlée. We loved our choices but I tell you there are so many things to choose from. Next time I don't know what I'll choose. Oh, let me not forget to mention the staff. They were wonderful as well. Now I know how some people don't like to pay extra if you're using your card. It's a 3% discount if you pay cash. I ended up adding it to the tip I was going to leave anyway but just so ya know and are warned. I think the price is the price but if you pay cash you save. Check them out! They're at 887 Yonkers Ave.;Yonkers, NY. There's parking out back.

Yelp
Been there a few times now. Each visit starts with fresh warm bread. Family served salad. Had many different apps. Fried Mozz squares, Rice balls, baked clams. All delicious. Some of the meals were Penne ala'Vodka, Veal piccata and my favorite Gnocchi in Bolanese sauce. If there is room for dessert try the lava cake with fresh gelato and a capachinno. Now for the service. It's second to none. Never waited to be seated, never have to ask for refills of anything. And never, ever feel rushed. Even on Easter. It was like eating at Nonna's! Even the pizza on the pizzeria side is good. Can't go wrong!!
google avatar

Frenzie M.

Yelp
Very disappointed! Definitely not worth $17.00 for a bowl of soup, pasta e pizzelli. Which I was charged as an Entree portion. No I didn't ask for the entree portion, it didn't say anything about an entree portion.. Nor was I asked if I wanted an entree portion! The waiter took it upon himself to bring it to me.. The menu price said $13.00. I wouldn't of cared if it was delicious and well worth it but it wasn't! My date ordered pasta which was good. Nice ambiance, great bread, good service. Bring extra cash if your going to this place!

Grace S.

Yelp
Had dinner at Louie & Johnnie's last night. Services could have been better. They coat everything with CHEESE, including their salad! Even though I'm Italian , my 1st ingredient in cooking isn't always cheese . I've been there numerous times, couple date, post funeral reception & the food was better seasoned. If you like cheesy entrees, apps & salad, this is your place! The newly decor is in good taste!

Yelp
We were a party of 5. This place came highly recommended. Driving from Staten Island Friday rush hour. Amazing bread to start! Hot and cold antipasto. Beautiful and delicious. A little different from the usual. House salad for table was amazing. Incredible dressing. We were so full at this point and the entrees were very large! My scungilli fra Diavolo was soft and thin. Everyone loved their dishes. Service was very good. Desert was magnificent. A varied delectable selection. I'd go back without a doubt just not on a Friday rush hour from Staten Island!!

Yelp
My wife and I ran into some "framily" while attending an event in the area. On their recommendations we all go to Louie and Johnies. Being from Nassau County LI and every other block has an Italian Restaurant. L&J did a great job. Service was not lacking and tentative Dinning room was updated and comfortable Solid Martini pour I only tasted the others dinners, but this was hands the best (off the bone) Chicken Scarpariello I have ever had!! Dessert was Toasted Almond Cream cake. I don't know if they made it in house, but it was fantastic! If your in the area hit this spot! Everything looked great. Mine experience was great! 41/2 should be a rating.

Yelp
Classic classic classic..... Italian! This place has been doing it for years and they are pretty dam good at it. Every dish that I've had here has impressed. All of chicken plates are highly recommended

Yelp
Excellent food here. Great waitstaff. They must be doing something right to be this packed on a Saturday afternoon!

Yelp
Keep in mind that this review is based only on the take out portion and not the dining in experience. Been here a few times to order pizza and some extras, such as rolls and calzones. They actually changed the pizza parlor/bar area not too long ago, to where it looks better and more spacious. I've both called in and came in and ordered and every time the order was timely and made right. There are two menus - one for take out and the other for dining in. I'll put of pics of the takeout menu when I get a chance. The pizza itself is good. I can't say it's the greatest, but it's far from the worst. The calzones are decent and the rolls are good. I had the grilled chicken Caesar salad, but that was disappointing. Parking is difficult. There's meters on one side of the street (opposite that Casino) and limited spots. There's also a very small parking lot in the rear. Overall a good place to get a good pizza and other items - and one I will be returning to.

Yelp
Worst steak contadina I've ever had , salty and tomato sauce and jar peppers disappointment Friends had sole salty ,not a great restaurant priced higher then 2 of the best restaurants Ciao's an Tuttabella.

Barbara G.

Yelp
Service are was great. Our waiter and hostess were both attentive in-spite of the Saturday night crowd and their was a crowd. There was no visible parking. They served complimentary and delicious table salad and warm bread. A fellow yelper posted the stuffed pork chop so we tried it and the waiter recommended it. It was robust and flavorful but a bit overwhelming. The prosciutto jumped out at us. It was alive! We both ordered it and didn't think we'd order it again. The gravy was good especially with the croquette. Chocolate mousse was ok not dark enough for my taste. It was rich and creamy but too milky. Next time we'll try something different.

Yelp
I went here for dinner with my son as we just bought a place in the area. We bought the dinner for two and it was amazing. We can't wait to go back and have told some already how great it was.

Carina H.

Yelp
We ordered some take out and it were not disappointed. The seafood salad was sooo good. Highly recommend. I had the chicken picatta, haven't had that dish in a while and it was very good. My friend had the chicken with brócoli rabe. Delicious. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
A cut above most Italian restaurants. Nice room and decor and good acoustics which keep the noise level down even on crowded nights. Valet parking. Great wait staff . They know the menu well and don't push you on specials or try to speed you out the door. The appetizers including rice balls , grilled octopus , fried calamari with hot peppers etc are all superb. All of the entrees we have tried have been superb including the stuffed pork marsala, orichette with broccoli rabe and sausage, chicken and veal parmigiana and scungilli Fra Diavlo are great. Nice dessert menu and coffee round out the menu .
google avatar

Eddie P.

Yelp
The best family-run restaurant in Yonkers and one of the best in Westchester. Food is always great, service even better. From the valet parking to the waitstaff, all points are sharp here. Large portions, especially the hot antipasto platters so order lighter on the apps or you'll miss dessert!

Nicole B.

Yelp
Best meal I've ever had. Last night was my first time at this restaurant- can't wait to return. We tried the Clams Calabrese, Shrimp Genovese special app and special entree- House made pappardelle bolognese. Everything was phenomenal. Next time I'll try to save room for dessert, the options were extremely tempting. The service was great, very friendly and attentive staff. Restaurant itself is spacious and very clean. Highly recommend!!!

Robert B.

Yelp
We only have dinner's delivered. Not from Louie & Johnnies again. The fried calamari was soft, not crisp, the baked clams were mush floating in oil, the chicken fingers were so-so, not great. My wife even called them to tell them we won't be back.

Yelp
Every time we come here the food and service is AMAZING. I can't praise this business enough ! Delicious !

Yelp
I'm feeling generous today so I'm going to give them 4 stars. The food here is pretty good. I absolutely love their margarita pizza. I've only ordered delivery from them through DoorDash. I was excited when i saw that they deliver through them. I never actually been to this restaurant, but always wanted to try it. Being born and raised in the Bronx, this is considered pretty good Italian food in my book. Probably the best in the area, and the closest you will get to the real thing. My most recent order from them was satisfactory though (would have been a 3 star review just based on this time, but lucky for them, i bumped up their review to 4 stars based on past experiences). We ordered a margarita pizza- delicious but cold (not their fault, prob the drivers and the fact it's 30 degrees outside). We ordered the Surf and Turf, and while the filet mignon was good, the lobster tails didn't taste fresh and they were a little chewy. The oregonata sauce on it was good though. We also ordered the chicken picatta and penne vodka. Their sauce on the penne vodka was a little watery this time but still good. I actually like the penne vodka here based on past experiences. We also ordered the fresh mozzarella with tomatoes and roasted peppers. Although they were seasoned nicely, the mozzarella didn't taste so fresh. We also ordered a wedge salad and potatoe croquettes. Their potato croquettes here are just ehhh. Lastly, we ordered the shrimp wrapped in bacon with BBQ sauce. They went a little too BBQ sauce happy on this one, but it was actually quite good. I included pictures of this meal to give you all an idea of what's in store. Overall they are very good and will order from them again.

Yelp
The guy behind the counter allways a bad aditude Food disgusting i ordered last night a chiken parm the chiken was like plastike i would give a 0 star review

Yelp
Ordered from door Door dash to my hotel room. Food arrived hot and fresh and very timely. My biggest complaint, they didn't include plastic Ware. I had nothing to eat it with. No fork no spin no knife. Sad.

Yelp
Really good Italian Pizza family style restaurant and bar. Great menu and tasty food all very reasonably priced combined with friendly service. Very good comfortable ambiance. Parking at rear of restaurant or street parking.
