"There’s a decidedly French feel to this smart brasserie spread over two floors. Sit downstairs during the week, where the elegant surroundings include a shellfish counter, banquettes and a lovely old jukebox. The more formal, intimate upstairs dining room opens at the weekend. The menu comprises skilfully cooked French-influenced dishes, including sharing options like sole meunière and côte de boeuf. Desserts are a straightforward, classic affair, with choices like chocolate fondant, tarte Tatin and a cracking pecan pie. Head up to The Alligator Bar for a cocktail after dining." - Michelin Inspector

We came in for just drinks and we loved it. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for, intimate chill vibes and nice music. We went to the Alligator and there wasn’t many people although it was Saturday night. It was perfect. We came for one drink but ended up having a few more as every cocktail that we tried was made so balanced and so well. Amazing

I’m excited to go back to this place. The food actually tastes good, the service is top notch and the atmosphere is fantastic! This was my first time dining here, but I’m definitely coming back to try more of the menu and experience the bar.

First time at Louie - spectacular cocktails and the Tomahawk was spectacular. The starters were wonderful - oysters, rainbow trout carpaccio (new to the menu) was exquisite, calamari, everything. The Tomahawk steak was special - the meat was perfectly cooked, delicious and tender - honestly one of the best Tomahawks I have ever eaten. The cocktails were so good that we didn't even have wine, just continued with cocktails throughout the night - would recommend without hesitation! Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Photos were taken by our dining companions - not by me!

10/10 the best time you can have especially on a Tuesday with live music ! The band is near you and you have enough room to dance. The decor is to die for and the vibes are elite. (They also have a smoking section in real French style but it’s designed so the non-smoker can enjoy themselves too in the bar !) They really think of everyone there. The staff are attentive, the style is out of this world and the food/drinks are real French fusion. Great date spot ! Could not recommend enough! Good stars all around. I’m pretty sure their calamari saved me from a mad hangover at work.

The cuisine was passable, but I'm uncertain why this establishment is so highly regarded. We were seated in a secluded corner on the side of the restaurant by the front of house staff. The waitress was great tho. In summary, I would not Recommend this venue.

I didn’t try the restaurant. We had a table for the bar in the 3rd floor. Beautiful place. Nice ambiance. When my friend booked her table there was a note in small letters saying that tables were required by 9pm or need to pay some minimum spent. Our table was for 7:45pm. So it was not making much sense.the waiter told us we would need to leave. We asked what time we needed to return it back. We were informed by 10PM. When dj would start playing. Then I believe the manager came around, and we asked if we could stay longer. He never came back to revert. So we thought it was ok to stay. Until a waitress came around and poured almost a quarter bottle of wine in JUST ONE GLASS. We were in 6 people. Some glasses almost empty and she totally ignored. A bit before she was already removing the glasses without asking if we had finished and without informing us that we would need to leave by 10PM. Terrible customer service experience for a place like this. They have a good price for cocktails but their wine menu is very small and the wines between £65-£85 were horrible options. Very very weak. We even asked if we could get a table at the restaurant. It was available online. But before we decided to check the wine menu of the restaurant. There were just a few more options than the bar and also not the best. It doesn’t go well for the place the small wine selection. The bar snacks were ok. The truffle toasties were nice. The arancini very average. I would like to go back but I do think they need to get better in their table service

Experienced an increase tastebud delight when we popped into Louie for desserts and champagne the other evening. Such a friendly bunch and the food was perfection. Even acclaimed pastry chef, Michael D’Angelo, came to introduce himself and present the desserts. Splendid evening indeed. Thank you all

We’re here for a taste of the Big Easy. It comes in the dainty, deconstructed form of oysters ‘Rockefeller’ delicately poached and bathed in foaming butter; and a signature gumbo with a deep dark reduced sauce and a silver thimble of delicious crab rice on the side.
