"Open for: Breakfast, lunchPrice range: $$Husband and wife Chris and Ally Benedyk have been making rich and creative food on Mass Avenue since 2018, amassing a following of breakfast and brunch lovers with braised meats and decadent desserts. Mornings bring sandwiches of buttermilk fried chicken, passion fruit tea jam, scrambled egg, and cheese, as well as hanger steaks with pickled blueberries, sunny side eggs, remoulade, and local wilted greens. Ally bakes up tart cherry-pistachio brownies and espresso-maple cheesecakes. The garage sale-like interior exhibits three decades of pop culture, including VHS tapes, old-school clowns, salvaged paint by numbers, and a vintage arcade game.Vibe check: Check out Love Handle’s social media for specials and events, always worth seeking out." - Brian Garrido

This is the lost nostalgia eating place for someone who was brown or grew up in the 80’s and 90’s. But not only that, the food is absolutely incredible! It really will give you love handles if you’re not careful. The brunch or lunch options are crafted to original perfection. Grab a fried for mimosas or bring the whole family, great for either one. What an amazing concept for a restaurant and the owners are just as amazing! Thankful for this slice of nostalgia in the heart of Indiana.

Google
Quaint breakfast/brunch spot with a grandma eclectic vibe. I had the bodega breakfast sando (brisket, egg & jam) and my husband had the country breakfast. We both thought our food was good, but not mind-blowing. The brisket on my sandwich was fantastic. My husband’s biscuit was a little too salty for his taste but he enjoyed the rest. You definitely get a hearty brunch! They have bottled drinks, hot tea, drip coffee and alcohol. I appreciate the no-frills approach but wish there was an iced coffee option for the hot summer months.

Google
This place is downright fantastic and I wish I had found this spot earlier. I had the surf and turf breakfast sandwich and I don’t think I’ll ever be the same. It was so tastefully done I had to walk back up to the counter just to say thank you to the staff. If you’re looking for a quaint brunch spot in Indy that’s not too in your face and has amazing food you need to put your phone down right now and drive to Love Handle.

I wanted to try this place because I was looking for a new breakfast/brunch place. I checked it out online and the food looked great so we went. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my husband ordered a sunny side up breakfast platter with pork belly instead of bacon. When the food it looked great! However, as I started eating the text of the grits were more like mashed potatoes mixed with grits. Also the grits were offered in only a Cajun flavor. I'm not a big fan of hot food, but the girl at the counter assured me it was barely spicy. For my taste, she was wrong. Not only was the texture weird, the grits were too spicy for me too consume. Pictured is the "sunny side up egg" in y husband's me. Clearly it is hard. In fact, he was able to scrap it right off the white part of the egg. The pork belly was very cooked and hard and so was the biscuit the real came with. We also ordered a mimosa, it was $9. Although it tasted good, it came in the little plastic pictured. In our opinion, not worth $9. The total cost for our meal was over $50. The shrimp in my meal were excellent, but sadly it wasn't worth the price we paid. I only gave this place 2 stars because of all the eclectic items everywhere reminded the atmosphere was charming and cozy.

Google
The food potions are smaller than what one would expect with this price. Also there’s not much a service, but it’s not that kind of restaurant so I understand. You order your food at the counter, find your own table. Yes They will bring the order to you. They do not check on you to see how the food is and you will need to put your own tray away.

Google
Man, words don't do this place justice. The breakfast here is insane and everything is so hot and fresh. My only complaint is that I can't give them more than 5 stars!

Joe Chaput

Google
Ate here the day after the Big Ten Championship game on our way out of town. Great atmosphere. Loved the retro look of the place and it was getting busy. Lady taking the orders was very nice. Placed our order and it took over 20 minutes for the food to come out. Had the hash brown casserole. Eggs and such were fine but the potatoes were still firm as they hadn’t been cooked enough. The chicken was pretty good. My wife had the brisket Sando. The brisket was 2 inches thick that was full of fat and had the texture of a hockey puck in terms of firmness. Maybe just caught it on a bad day. Hopefully it’ll be better next time. I’ll give it another try to see.

Google
The food was very very good. The place is cool and has a fun atmosphere. It took a while to get our food and came out at different times. I'll not be too harsh because they were very busy and we had a big group.

Yelp
Stopped by on a chilly Friday morning. I loved the vibe when we walked in- super casual, chill We tried the breakfast sando & the fried chicken wrap. The breakfast sandwich was amazing. The apple butter added a perfect addition to the sandwich that i didn't know it needed. My boyfriend loved the tang from the giardiniera. We'll both be back soon!

Yelp
I wish I could eat here every single day. Unique options made with delicious ingredients. Haven't had something here that wasn't outstanding. The staff are super friendly and the owner is a passionate chef. Not your average interior decor. VHS tapes, arcade cabinet, signage of all kinds - lots to look at while you are scarfing down pork belly sandos.

Aaron B.

Yelp
I really like the fun ambiance here. I'm a laserdisc collector and still have a laserdisc player. So their selection of retro videos is a fun touch for me. The food k struggled with. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with turnip gravy. It tasted ok, but wasn't really a breakfast-sized dish. Coffee for dining in was served in 12 oz paper cups and refills were only available on request at the counter. Would have been nice to put the urn out since there was no table service. I'll probably go back and order something else that isn't appetizer size. I want to like this place.

Yelp
Located on the tail end of Mass Ave by the Bottleworks compound is an unassuming little breakfast and lunch joint. Pay parking. It's super kitschy. My friend lives in the area and took me. I'm glad she did as it's counter service and you just walk in and have to go all the way to the back of the restaurant to order. You can't see the menu board until you are at the counter because it's blocked by a drink fridge. The chicken and waffles was tasty and I would get it again. I got the cheesy grits with egg and meat choice. I asked the hostess which meat she would suggest between the fried chicken and brisket and she immediately said the brisket. It was a thick burnt slab of grisly meat. I should have gotten the chicken. The chicken was cornmeal battered and crispy. The cheesy grits were tasty. More in the polenta side of what I'd call grits but yummy none the less. The portions were good sized too. Once you order you can get water or coffee condiments at their walk up drink area at the front of the restaurant under all of the clown memorabilia. Lots of decor to take in for sure. It's a tad pricy for a walk up counter. Two entrees and coffee with tip was 46 bucks. I'd definitely go back but wouldn't get the brisket again.

Yelp
This place is an amazing spot for breakfast! We ordered the pork belly breakfast sandwich and biscuits with gravy, both topped with pork belly. When the pork belly arrived, I was blown away by the size--it was generously portioned and incredibly flavorful, with that perfect salty, fatty goodness that made each bite burst with flavor. The breakfast sandwich also came with a jam that perfectly balanced the saltiness of the pork belly, adding a nice touch of sweetness. The service was great, with attentive staff even though it's more of a self-service setup. The ambiance was super chill and laid-back, making it a cozy spot to start the day. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Indianapolis!

Yelp
We are so happy we tried & loved "Love Handles Eatery," in Marion, Ny. For Super Bowl Sunday we ordered Chicken French Lasagna that came with great bread & a side. We chose delicious green beans & garlic. ( Huge amounts!) Everything they make is from all fresh ingredients! We're getting more meals this week because they offer a meal every day of the week as well as catering.. I feel like it's an excellent eatery whether you're having a party or just want individual meals. The chef/owner, Tom is a very accommodating, personable and definitely wants to make sure his customers are exceptionally happy! I've lived here in Wayne Co. for 15 years & can absolutely say Tom's food is in my top three places in Wayne county

Yelp
Visited right at opening this morning. I ordered cheesy jalapeño grits with two eggs, and I definitely made the right decision. My eggs were cooked to perfection and the grits were just the right amount of heat. The quirky decor really makes this place even more fun. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Service was friendly and efficient. Bus your table before you leave to help everyone out. I would most certainly return again. The table next to us had some sandwiches that looked really good!

Yelp
Love Handle is a trendy cafe that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on the north end of Mass Ave. The dining room is colorful with the walls decorated in vintage paint by number art and other quirky items. The bright yellow and green vinyl seating is fun and comfortable. The menu is on a chalk board near the counter where you order. The best way to describe the good is Southern-inspired. I wanted to try the biscuit sliders that were in other Yelp reviews but they were not on the menu. I asked and the clerk said they could make some for us, the sliders are $7 each. The sliders came out in about 12 minutes served on vintage mismatched plates. I loved the sliders. The fried oyster biscuit slider was delicious. The oysters were juicy and had a lot of flavor with a light breading. The biscuits are salty, flaky and very good. There was a sauce on the oysters and melted cheese. The beef brisket biscuit slider was very good. There were two thick slices of tender brisket, melted cheese, a delicious sweet jam on one of their signature biscuits. The meat was slightly fatty, but good. They serve coffee, tea and assorted bottled and canned beverages, including beer. There are a few games around to play while you drink your coffee. There is metered street parking out front.

Yelp
We were staying at Bottleworks and hoped to find breakfast nearby. Love Handle fit the bill. It was open for breakfast and was within spittin' distance. We arrived relatively early; the place was empty, just waiting for us. The decor was super fun. We were helped with the ordering process and the menu. We ordered coffee, Biscuits & Gravy and a Chicken Benedict (maybe?). The coffee was great and came with refills. The Biscuits & Gravy was interesting. It was good, but different. The color was a light orangish beige. It had a bit of a kick. The first bite was surprising and gave me pause. The flavor became more nuanced as I continued to eat. Overall, quite good. Mark enjoyed his Chicken Benedict. I'm not sure that's what it's called and I didn't get a pic of the menu that day. Still, he thought it was delicious and devoured every bite. We were stuffed and happy.

Brittany P.

Yelp
You won't regret stopping at Love Handle. As their sign outside says "eat here"! I had waffles with chicken topped with an egg, absolutely delicious! The service was great and attentive. There is a thoughtful self service area set up with ice water, every hot sauce you can imagine, condiments and to go boxes - I wish more places had a set up like this! The decor is funky, colorful & vintage. Tip - GPS took us to a lot behind that costs $10 to park in, go around up front and find a meter that's much less (I think it was $2 for an hour).

Bobby P.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Got the surf and turf Sando and it did not disappoint. Interesting themed restaurant which is a good thing cause who likes boring.

Brandon B.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my time at Love Handle in Indy! The food was great, the servers were very friendly, and the vibes were unmatched (thanks to those mimosas lol). Will definitely be back!

Kevin R.

Yelp
Couldn't find it! Used maps and drove around the building. Not sure if they are even open yet. If so they need better signage.

Brady R.

Yelp
Not the best place for non-meat eaters or vegans, but I will add that I had of the best vegetarian biscuits and "gravy" here. It was a cheddar broccoli gravy with flaky biscuits. Add on some hot sauce and *chefs kiss.* This was incredibly tasty.

Niko D.

Yelp
a daily changing menu country cuisine = a very happy country girl who moved to the city for new and exciting things! I am both ashamed and appalled that I haven't found Love Handle sooner! As soon as I saw the brisket on the menu, I knew what had to be done. I was warned that the portions served here were filling and they did not tell a lie -- the amount of food we were given had me holding my belly as I waddled out the door into the cold. The brisket was smoky, savory, and seasoned perfectly! But as a spicy food lover, I could have used a little more heat in the jalapeno cheddar grits that it came with. While the hot sauces they kept in-house were a great addition, I would have loved to taste a more jalapeno-based spice with this meal. If you're looking for a perfectly fried piece of chicken with heavy seasonings and a very crispy crunch, you may want to pick up their Country Fried Chicken. We had tried this on top of a waffle that tasted very similar to cornbread, and it sparked the idea of eating this smothered in gravy over biscuits.. My one, small, teeniest of tiniest, complaints... I really hated the small plate and plastic utensil combo. It made cutting our food incredibly difficult and we were constantly picking up fallen food from the table as a result. I'm still thinking about the perfect bite I lost from accidentally pushing it off my plate

Yelp
Love Handle is soulful, colorful, and has so much character and personality. Seriously, if you love color, taking photos, consuming a hefty meal, and you happen to be in Indianapolis, this place is perfect for you. During my visit, the cashier was very genuine, silly, and adorable, which is always a plus. The place is fun, clean, and very creative and whimsical with all sorts of vintage looking decorations - from clown memorabilia, to VHS tapes, to random paintings that look to be created by local artists. The menu was also full of life, but I will say though - if you're getting into the "fit life" and are vegetarian/vegan, this place might not be for you. The food is heavier and looks to be inspired by the South. It kind of reminded me of being in New Orleans and eating that comfort type of soul food. Nonetheless, I would still highly recommend visiting this place, regardless of dietary preference. There are still various drink options and this restaurant is a great place to hang out at, as it is very spacious. When I came, I got the 'Cold Cannon', which is a vegetarian wrap with taters, cabbage balls, hummus, & etc (and it was basically the only vegetarian thing on the menu). It was good, came with a ton of potato chips, and because it was my first day during my week-long sales trip in the midwest, I opted not to eat those, as I was trying to avoid zombie-mode at all costs. 'Love Handle' also has 'Tinker Coffee' products, such as the canned cold brew, which is absolutely delicious. Thanks for charging up my social battery during my first customer meeting here in Indiana, Tinker! Overall, this place is lovely. It's super fun and cute, and it honestly reminds me a lot of Portland, OR. If you're in town, definitely come here! There's also a vintage mortal combat joystick arcade game here too if you want to get your subzero and scorpion on :)

Jessica L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite - they have a lot of variety but I opted for the half order of Biscuits & Gravy. Oh my goodness, you can best believe I'll be back, it was delicious! If you haven't stopped by, you won't be disappointed! For a Sunday morning, it wasn't crowded and we were assisted very promptly!

Sarah E.

Yelp
I've been told to go here for a few years. A few folks stunned that I hadn't gone yet. It's definitely a quirky menu and decor. The staff working the counter did a great job guiding me through the menu and making a recommendation based on me being a newbie and adventurous. I ordered the beef brisket. The pieces were tender and flavorful. It's definitely a healthy portion and I did not order a side. I was full! Definitely will be back!

Kim K.

Yelp
The staff are welcoming and attentive. Always delicious and uncommon food with portion sizes that provide enough for a take away box. Their grits are amazing, some of the best in town, and the brisket melts in your mouth. One of my other favorites that pops up on the menu once in a while is the buffalo chicken gravy and biscuits. Sounds weird but it is amazing. The atmosphere is diner-ish with a movie projected on the wall. Always well maintained. Definitely one of our favorite local Indy places and pleased to see they are still here each summer when we come back to town.

Zachary H.

Yelp
Love Handle is amazing! This is one of the best food spots in Indy and I feel like it's such a hidden gem. I always get the Breakfast Sando - I have tried the brisket, fried chicken, and pork belly - all of them are DELICIOUS! Service is quick, they do get super busy though so be aware. If you don't to wait, you probably will but it is well worth it for the food. Such a cool spot, each wall is unique with something fun hung up. I will continue to come back to Love Handle. I typically take people here if they are in Indy visiting, it is that type of spot.

Emi M.

Yelp
This is such a cute place on mass ave. My friend and I went there for brunch. I had read on Yelp that they have some unique menu items and it was true! They have a blackboard and there were many I was interested to try. Now that I think about it, most of them seemed to be very "heavy" for breakfast/brunch. And I ordered a pork belly sandwich because I love pork belly when it's prepared right! However--This sandwich had a thick stuck of pork belly, eggs, cheese and syrup. This combination was way too heavy for brunch I think, although the taste was good, I had a bad heartburn after eating this. Belly had a big chunk of fat which I didn't eat. This probably won't be my go-to for brunch, but I recommend it if you have a big appetite and get some good savory stuff!

Sonya D.

Yelp
I can't believe I've lived in Indy for a year and walked past Love Handle on Mass Ave so many times but never noticed it! The sign on the window isn't very bright or large so it's easy to miss. I got the country breakfast- it was fried chicken with sunny side eggs on top and a biscuit. The fried chicken was SO crispy and the eggs were cooked perfectly with a runny yolk. The biscuit was so nice and warm. My friends loved their meals too! They got biscuits & gravy, fried shrimp & grits, and the bodega breakfast sandwich. It's so nice and casual inside. I loved the vibes. Perfect spot for brunch with friends with comfort food. I will definitely be back!

Emm M.

Yelp
This is an OK place. 3.5 stars would be more appropriate, but that's not an option. They have a great fish sandwich and some other pretty standard stuff on their menu. You come up to the counter and order and then they call your order out when it's ready. It is decorated like a cool dive bar, and I really wish it was that. But it is more of some hybrid between something in a food hall and a trendy sit down restaurant but with the aesthetics of a dive bar. They have breakfast and lunch menu items. It feels really conflicted on what it's trying to be. Worth a try.

Bryan M.

Yelp
Cool kitschy diner! The food and service were great. Loved eating on the old plates, it reminded me of my younger days. They also have used movies on VHS and laser disk you can buy if you like and they had the movie The Mask projected on the wall while my wife and I were there. I definitely recommend checking it out and I'm sure we will return in the future.

Kim P.

Yelp
Finally made my way to Love Handle for breakfast, I honestly don't know why I waited so long. There was no wait and wasn't that busy for a Saturday morning. You walk up to the counter order, and pay and then you can find a they bring their food out for you. So many unique options (just as eclectic as their décor), it was hard to choose just one. I went for the Chicken Country Breakfast, food came out relatively quick - hot and fresh. The portion was huge for the $16 price tag, and I thought it was worth the cost. The flavor of the chorizo gravy gave the meal a nice kick of spice, and the fried chicken was nice and juicy. The breading didn't stay on super well, but it was nicely seasoned overall. Will definitely have to come back soon to try out the rest of their menu!

Barbara M.

Yelp
Love Handle continues to serve up one of the most flavorful and creative brunch options in the city. Since they close at 3pm (other than fish fry dinners during lent), you'll visit them for breakfast/lunch/brunch rather than dinner. You HAVE to follow them on insta @luvhandy to keep up with their ever-changing chalk board menu and for regular teases on what they're cooking up. You'll also get a sense for their positive, authentic, alt culture via the captions. You can always add a duck or chicken egg for an extra cost to any dish. While Love Handle does accommodate dietary restrictions, vegetarians (not pescatarians) take caution: most dishes feature an interesting meat. Pork belly, lox, oysters, and chicken are common, but Love Handle will also feature interesting dishes like beef tongue, pork heart, duck meat, etc. Even if you're skeptical on trying something new, trust me that Love Handle never misses on quality and flavor. Love Handle is so eclectic in its decor but also runs an unembellished operation. You'll order at the counter, they'll bring you your food, but you do not have waitstaff per se. You get your own water, utensils, napkins, coffee creamers, etc. on a common table as needed. Their caffeine options are just Tinker drip coffee or teas. I appreciate that Love Handle goes to great lengths on what they're good at (flavors!!!) but also scales back on some frills (e.g. excessive kinds of lattes) that might be at a typical Mass Ave brunch spot. ParkMobile street parking is your best bet and isn't too expensive although space can be limited. Free parking is available on Davidson St behind Love Handle.

Grant H.

Yelp
Crazy good breakfast sandwiches in a cool atmosphere. What's not to like? I've been pleasantly surprised at what downtown Indy has to offer.

Adrienne S.

Yelp
Really good brisket. Biscuits are homemade and portions are generous. We were visiting Indy from Chicago. Overall great quality. The place was full with brunch customers. Only complaint is that tables needed to be wiped down as customers left.

Teah R.

Yelp
I loved Love Handle so much. I want to come back ASAP. The decor is so cute and vintage, I am obsessed. My friends and I met for brunch one morning. I ordered the egg sandwich with fried chicken and the gravy fries for the table. Everything was delicious and I didn't want it to be gone. My friend tried the pork belly waffle which was an interesting combo that was actually pretty good. I want to come back and try their lunch menu - that bang bang shrimp wrap is calling my name. Hopefully that's still on the menu before they rotate. (Fingers crossed!) Great atmosphere,, great food, and friendly staff!

Broderick H.

Yelp
Best breakfast in Indy hands down. Service was great and the vibe is immaculate. Got the biscuits & pork gravy with an egg and my partner got a waffle with brisket. Amazing. Filled my soul with love and happiness. 5/5 highly recommend.

David D.

Yelp
Wow, great food and big portions! The atmosphere was definitely kitschy, one wall was clowns, another was Chinese emperorish, and another was old English, with a wall dedicated to laser disc movie players! It all works!

Kristina L.

Yelp
This spot is pretty cute. But, kind of confusing. You order like at a deli and seat yourself; but the prices reflect a server type of situation. The lady who helped us at the counter was nice, and she was knowledgeable about the flavor profiles. The food was a little disappointing. I had been eyeing this place on yelp and finally got the husband to give go. So I was super excited about a great culinary experience. First we learned that they switch out their menu frequently so what we went to try was no longer an option. We got the catfish with two duck eggs. The catfish had good flavor but eggs weren't worth the price. I got the grits with with pork belly and it had an egg in it. And a waffle to try. The waffle was dry. The pork belly could have used more seasoning. The grits were okay. I am partial to creamy textured grits. This missed the mark. All in all the food was just okay. But not anything we would make a trip back downtown for.

Carolyn W.

Yelp
Wow! A great dive/food joint. Order at the counter and grab a seat. I love grits and it is tough to find them done right North of the Mason Dixon. The brisket, cheese jalapeño grits and egg were sooo great. What could make it better? A Miller Light! I want to go back and try the biscuits and gravy and delicious fried stuff on waffles.

Stacy A.

Yelp
Blonde-ish hair in my food (mine is bright red, so not mine) and beyond well done fries. Not for me.

Vernita J.

Yelp
I don't eat most of those things. I have eaten food all over the world. Pork no, duck eggs No

Katelyn D.

Yelp
The restaurant was super cute and clean. Loved the vibe. Waited in line then tried to find a table because they were super busy! The food was super delicious, enjoyed the hot honey.

Hanna V.

Yelp
Solid place. Great food. Great staff. They have of traditional breakfast and brunch options that are then paired with some traditional and non traditional meats, or even no meat. They do have a bit variety of vegetarian options. My go to is the Breakfast Sandwich and i usually get it with fried chicken or just an egg and cheese (Pictured here). The sandwich also comes with a jam that they clearly make in house... it's SOO good. I remember going to this place when it was on 10th and Oxford, it's so great that it has the new(ish) mass ave location now. The food is seriously amazing every single time I eat here. This place is so good they even make food for the other local coffee and pastry shops to sell!!! So if you have not stopped in go ahead and give it a try. They will not disappoint. Support locally owned businesses!!!

Iris F.

Yelp
Just great. I am reminded of a small cafe in the south with the flavorful food and comforting service. Get the jalapeño grits trust me. I get them every time !

Patty F.

Yelp
I was not impressed. The food was extremely overprice. The scrambled eggs were not fluffy and actually looked like eggs from a diner. The waffle and catfish was greasy. The customer service was lacking. I explained that this was our first time to the restaurant and asked the question.." do you have a dish that you are known for?" The answer was short and curt. If an eating establishment is self service then at least keep everything like the coffee carafe filled. I also didn't see any hair restraints being worn by the kitchen staff. The atmosphere was not to my taste. A price tag of over $50 for two people for breakfast is ridiculous. We will not be back

Gary C.

Yelp
This place was like having your mom make a home cooked meal. Food came out hot. Staff was friendly and helpful. Both dishes we ordered were delicious!

Jeremy O.

Yelp
I love this place. Food changes all the time check the board for the latest Brittany will look after you well. The inside ls soo cool a free video game to play

Domino E.

Yelp
Stopped by for brunch during the week. I ordered a meal with brisket and eggs. I don't remember what else was with it because the brisket was the star, as it should be. It was sooo tender which was surprising since it was cut in chunks and not sliced or shredded. A+

Sana K.

Yelp
Great place. Never knew it existed on mass Ave. Located towards the bottleworks end under the apts. The brisket n grits were delicious and the amount was more than enough. It is so nostalgic in there. So many VHS tapes to rent or buy line the walls. You can help yourself to cream n sugar near the exit. There's a projector that plays movies while you sit. Only black hot tinker coffee is the option here. Open till 3 daily I think. I'd like to try the breakfast sandwich or shrimp n grits next time.

Kristina J.

Yelp
Why didn't I come here earlier? The eclectic grandma vibe of the decor pairs well with the amazing food! We had the fried chicken and jalapeño grits and the biscuits and gravy. So delicious and filling! It's counter service which makes it easy, but I imagine on the weekends it might get wild. Street parking available. Seriously don't sleep on Love Handle. I cannot wait to go back!

Barbara F.

Yelp
I made an early morning trip to Love Handle to capitalize on the pop up of Zoë Taylor's pastries. It was an excellent opportunity to try out both of them. They opened this morning, Sunday, at 8:00 a.m. I arrived at 8:09 and there was a line out the door - about 15 people. I was really hoping there would be some pastries left by my turn! Everything listed on the blackboard was still left at my turn and I chose Blueberry Basil Peach Pie & Brio Blueberry Roll. I chose a Fried Chicken Biscuit Slider from Love Handle. Everything was delicious! It's a fun, eclectic atmosphere & decor and though the line was long and it took a while to have my turn and then a little wait for my items; they were all worth the wait! Parking is the typical Mass Ave adventure and I was fortunate to snag a take out spot.

Nya A.

Yelp
Hours posted online are rarely followed. Shame because I love the food but it is inconvenient for customers traveling for a comfort food.

Niki B.

Yelp
Their menu is super unique and it's the type of place where you can just point to something on the menu and know that it's going to be made in a delicious way. The chefs are top-notch, quirky, and inventive with their dishes. I'm also in love with their colorful and bold graphics and interior. They're located on Mass Ave, a cool street in Downtown Indy full of local shops, restaurants, and bars (for the out-of-towners reading this!). This is the spot where you're going to find a hearty meal. Think: biscuits & gravy, smoked brisket sandwiches, pork belly entrees, waffles, country breakfasts and more. The menu has always seemed very heavy to me, so go when you are H-U-N-G-R-Y. I also just read on their Facebook page that "if no vegetarian option is listed on the menu please ask - we are always happy to put something together." Awesome to know! They also just created a burrito spin-off business within the restaurant and they look absolutely amazing. Going back to try those shortly! I've heard they're amazing!

Yelp
OMG! Where have I been?! The food here is everything. The pork belly biscuits were amazing. The biscuits were super flavorful. I can't believe that I'm just stumbling upon this place. The ambiance is very unique and eclectic. It's a whole vibe. The parking was easy. I took my food to go, but slaughtered one of the pork belly biscuits while driving home. I can't remember the name, but the chicken smothered in gravy was delicious as well. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Stop at Love Handle for breakfast the other morning. I found parking out front of the restaurant on Mass Avenue and paid with my parkmobile app. I like the decor it had a little bit of everything on the walls! The service was quick as well. They were not overly busy but she took my order at the counter and then brought it out to the table. I had a biscuit and gravy along with coffee and cream. The gravy was too spicy for me but if I would have had my hubby with me he would have loved it. So next time I stop here I will be trying something different but that biscuit was delicious. It was a quick stop as I was traveling between my offices but I will be back again.
