Love Street is a restaurant in the city that has garnered a lot of positive attention for its creative cocktails and high-class atmosphere. Tastefully decorated, this eatery is sure to offer the perfect ambience for any setting. The Scotty Doesn't Know and Behave Yourself drinks are some of the best and most consistently made cocktails in town, especially their signature Espresso Martini. Even ordering the “Dealer's Choice” from their bar staff is a great option, as their expansive knowledge will take your taste buds on an exquisite journey. The service is top-notch at Love Street, with the friendly staff always willing to please.

Google
The best neighborhood cocktail bar that I've been to, amazing service and a staff that knows their cocktails and a ton of options on the menu or you can choose whatever you want. We came in on a Friday at 530p and sat at the bar and Joe was our bartender. He was so friendly and we chatted the entire time we were there. We ordered a bunch of different drinks and they were all great, I loved the Scotsman in Paradise, great if you like scotch paired with something tropical. Can't wait to come back and try all of the cocktails they have. By the time we were leaving at 7p every seat in the small place was filled.

Google
Cozy dark super vibey cocktail nook. Drinks extraordinary, superb staff, and the great tunes. I loved the super big squishy booth & dark candlelit table vibe. We came for a friends birthday and the bartender made us a cpl drinks they had on the menu a few years back, upon request. Great spot and great drinks!

Google
Can o’ corn drink. Delicious. Great place solo or with company. Cool atmosphere and neighborhood vibe. These are some serious drinks. Update..added one more delicious drink called Coconut 🏝️ Island.

Google
It was good. Miss the old menu but food was still cooked well. Service was great!

Google
Such a great place! Not crowded, cozy, intimate atmosphere! And great cocktails. They even can do off the menu orders!

Drinks are so spot on. And bartenders are friendly and so knowledgeable.

Love Street has become one of my new favorites! The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, vibrant, romantic. Definitely a great spot for a date week day or weekend, catch up with a girlfriend. Avli is just across the street and great spot for apps! They have a great selection of various cocktails and they are DELICIOUS- i was amazed how well the bartenders blended the notes of each cocktail. I love that there is a flat rate of drinks. I recommend Winter Blues The bartenders are extremely friendly, attentive and great at recommending cocktails. 12/10 will be back again!!

Google
A lovely cocktail bar with wonderful staff and creative drinks. We sat at the bar and spoke with our bartender and waitress Shannon and really enjoyed our time. Had no issue getting in either. The vibe is kinda like a speakeasy but not as pretentious or closed off. The drinks seem complex and have wonderful flavors. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
TL;DR: Great place to take a date or smaller group of friends for a pre or post dinner drink I visited 7-9 and it was became filled towards the end. The cocktails are made well and strong. They have a wide variety, so you cannot go wrong. THe place has a smaller charm to it and the pink couches are cute. Great place to stop into or wait for a table for dinner nearby

Yelp
Cute neighbor spot for a quick drink. Drinks were solid but nothing special for the price. Vibe was a little weird and the staff seemed like their focus was turning over tables quicker than I've experienced at similar places. It is not clear if Love Street wants to be a lounge for the post college crowd/30-somethings or a 20-somethings bar. All in all fine if you are in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't seek it out.

Yelp
I accidentally found this place on Google maps and because I liked the name of the bar. But whoa, this unassuming place is such a hidden gem. It's blackout with elegant lighting and seating. And the cocktails are creative and the bartender serving was able to help me choose my drinks. My top two so far are: COUNT THE RINGS (fruity, creamsicle) & CALM WATERS (very strong sweet martini). I also had a Can a Corn which wasn't as sweet as I was expecting but that's just my preference. Definitely will be coming back especially for date night

Yelp
What a great small cocktail bar in the neighborhood! The bartenders are all super goofy and very nice. We tried the: Fire in the hole (so good and spicy), a coffee cocktail featuring JaguarTequila, and a Jaguar Tequila/wine wash cocktail. The last two cocktails are part of their seasonal/featured menu. I also had a lavender cocktail (count the rings) that tasted like nothing I had ever had before - but in all the best ways! They do not do any food including bar snacks.

Yelp
Very popular neighborhood cocktail bar. Solid drinks. Nothing that blew my mind, but I think the greater selling point is the ambiance. Love Street is not very huge, so there's somewhat limited seating, but they make the most of it. The bar is long with seats spanning the whole length of it. There are a few high tables against the windows and wall, and just two round/booth tables at the back, which are "communal." Anyone who can fit can sit, pretty much. Beyond that, it's "standing room only" - standing anywhere there's space. Love Street is dark and moody with stylish pink and purple lights. If you want a cocktail bar, this is a cocktail bar. It seems to be very popular as all seats were occupied when I came at 8pm on a Wednesday. We left and came back later in the night and were able to find space at the bar. All cocktails were $16, including the seasonal specials. The Hibiscus Margarita I had was solid - tasty, strong, very acidic - no complaints, but not the best margarita of all time or anything. Maybe more expensive than I'd want to pay for a margarita, but not the worst price I've seen for a cocktail bar. Again, I think Love Street's strongest suit is its ambiance. If you've seen the photos and it looks like something you'd like, you'll probably like it. I am not coming back just for a drink, but I am glad I know about Love Street as it's great for An Occasion, and I am glad it's in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Huge fan of the drinks here!! It's such a cute atmosphere for fun cocktails and the drinks were GOOD! The All Grown Up was one of the best drinks I have had in a long time - still thinking about it!

Yelp
We were there right when they opened, but we wanted to try it. We were thinking of having an ice cold beer, but this place is for cocktails. I tried a Spanish Caravan which was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back to try other drinks. As they had just opened, it was empty, but yet barkeep said the weekends are like a club with music and crowds...expect a wait for a drink.
google avatar

Cameron B.

Yelp
I've been here a few times. Extremely mid overpriced cocktails and an even worse doorman. Kicked us out for standing near the bar? If it's crowded (and I don't know why this place would be) don't go in because I guess you're not allowed to stand at the bar and order.

Iven G.

Yelp
Really solid and tasty cocktails. The service was amazing our bartender was really skilled at his craft. The overall feel was great music was good and the scenery is just really cool. Would recommended anyone looking for a good drink to swing by.

Yelp
In love with Love Street. I grabbed dinner with some friends and one of them suggested we come here afterwards, and I am so glad she did! Love Street is tucked in an unassuming neighborhood in west Lincoln Park. If you aren't looking for it, you just might miss it! Upon entering, we were greeted by such a friendly doorman who let us know it was standing room only. This was at about 9ish, and it was already packed, so definitely come earlier if you can swing it. As we were walking in, a couple was leaving so we were able to snag a few seats at the bar. The space is dimly lit and intimate, the type of place you would expect in the West Loop or River North, but we were able to enjoy it right in LP! The menu has some really fun offerings that matched the atmosphere. I ended up going with an espresso martini and it was so delicious! It had the perfect balance of creaminess to offset the espresso and vodka. My friend ordered the gypsy queen, a vodka based drink, and really enjoyed it as well. We had SO much fun here! Perfect little date night spot to visit before or after dinner.

Veronica P.

Yelp
Really cute small neighborhood bar with yummy drinks. Tables and bar seats are assigned as patrons enter which is nice.

Yelp
Cute little bar in the DePaul area. My daughter, a DePaul grad, has visited this place many, many times, and I'm flattered that she wanted to share it with me! When we arrived, there wasn't a hostess working, so we wandered around trying to find either a table or two seats at the bar. We were just about to leave, when a couple at the bar grabbed our attention and offered their seats as they were preparing to leave. The menu has a wide variety of cocktails, and I had a hard time deciding which one to order. I finally talked to the bartender and told him what type of drinks I enjoyed, and he custom made a drink for me. It was great!

Yelp
This dark Lincoln Park cocktail bar is sexy and wouldn't be out of place in the West Loop but is instead tucked away just east of Southport. The drink list is extensive, with all types of alcohol being utilized. Luckily, this isn't one of those snooty places that makes you quality drinks while also making you feel like an idiot because you don't know every ingredient in the description. In fact, everyone there was SUPER nice, from the friendly doorman to the bartenders who made sure we liked our selections and the support staff who made great recommendations and kept our water glasses full. After two rounds we really didn't need anything else but there were so many fantastic looking choices that we indulged in one more. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask, they want to make you something you'll love! We got there at 6:30 on a Friday and there were tables and bar stools available but by 7:30 there was a wait. This was one of the nicest cocktail lounges I've ever been to and I can't wait to return!

Yelp
What a delightful and fun place! Feels like a speakeasy without the hassle of getting in. Service was very attentive and very friendly. The drinks were outstanding. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
This place is amazing! If you are thinking about taking someone on a date, this is your place! It's tucked on the corner in the neighborhood, and from the outside, you'd never expect what is inside, but it indeed is there. It's very dim and cozy inside. There are two booth type sitting in the back, made of a bigger party really... like 4 people. There are high top tables made for 2 people along the side with little candles. That's where we sat. Super nice and relaxing there. We ordered beers (no draft, sorry) but they came in cans. We weren't feeling a cocktail, but this definitely the type of place you'd want to get one. Also, next time I wouldn't mind sitting at the bar. Overall just a cool little cozy place. I'll be back for sure! No food is offered here though as of right now.

Yelp
Love Street? Love it! Ambiance is low lit, refined, romantic, modern, speakeasy / cocktail bar. A breathe of fresh air from all the dive and sports bars you'll find in the area. Great spot for enjoying awesome cocktails, whether it's a pre-dinner drink, a nightcap, or just looking for somewhere a bit more low key. Definitely a great date spot! Seating is open and bartenders will make rounds to the booths and hightop table to take orders. Menu is divided into shaken & stirred cocktails, and a handful of wines, beers, and some small snacks (chips) to munch on. We tried the sazerac (rye, cognac, demerara, peychaud's, angostura, absinthe ~ $12), used book (rye, meletti, cynar, strawberry, angostura ~ $12), and a kentucky bramble (bourbon, honey, lemon, blackberry ~ $13). Honestly each of them were unique, fantastic, and very well balanced. For sure, the kentucky bramble was my favorite of the three. The listed prices are inclusive of tax which was nice as there wasn't any additional sticker shock when the bill came out. Overall I think the price point is excellent for the quality of drinks and ambiance. I think the only I could probably nitpick was the music was a tad bit too loud upon entering, but honestly after two rounds I was speaking louder and could still make conversation just fine. Maybe just the alcohol talking... Definitely a great addition to the neighborhood and worth a stop for the cocktails. 'Til next time, cheers!

Yelp
This place is so cute. New and a fun add to Lincoln Park. I loved the black decor and swanky bar stools. My girls and I popped in on a Saturday night and got a really good table in the middle of the bar area. Staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered from the mixed drinks menu. The drinks are divided between "shaken" and "stirred" which is kinda cute right? I had the "behave yourself" a mixed vodka drink and "Esmeralda" a mixed tequila drink which were both pretty good. We kept it cute in here with rounds of drinks but quickly decided this would be a regular spot to hang out in this summer.

Yelp
I would give Love Street another go, but as we went around the table it was exactly a 50% hit rate in terms of who really liked their drink and who didn't. I was not a fan of what I got as I felt it didn't quite fit the description. I love boozy whisky/bourbon cocktails but all the different bitters kinda took control and led to a cocktail that was moreso dry and almost hid the base bourbon which was a little disappointing. Admittedly, my wife next to me had a better cocktial. But I feel like for a $14 cocktail there should be more approval / more consistency in the drinks. Again, I would definitely try it again, because there were some good options and some in our group who really liked the drinks.

Yelp
Stopped in here before grabbing food next door at Avlí with a friend. We arrived around 7pm on a Saturday and there were still a few spots open at the bar. The bartender greeted us and handed us both menus before we even sat down. The service was attentive but not overbearing the whole time we were there. The drinks were great! Although they weren't the best cocktails I've ever had, they were definitely up there. The price of $14 for all cocktails felt pretty reasonable since most cocktails you might get with a dinner are usually around $10-$14. The combo of quality drinks, service and atmosphere sealed the deal for me. The atmosphere felt like a combination of West Loop and Logan or Wicker. The exclusive feel of some spots in West Loop with the hipstery hidden gem vibes found in Logan. All on a little residential street in Lincoln Park. Love Street is perfect for a date night or with a few friends. It was great stopping in before dinner -- I'd highly recommend that order!

Yelp
I had an amazing date here! The staff was chill, the guests were cool, and the vibe was easy. A hidden little love gem.

Yelp
We knew we immediately walked into a very good cocktail bar when it was 11:30PM on a Wednesday night and we had to wait a bit for seats. The bartender immediately gave us menus and updated us on the status of a table. Most of us went for the "Dealer's Choice" cocktail and, by far, the best decision. The server was very attentive to each of our preferences and the bartender served up so amazing drinks. 100% going to recommend this place to friends and come back for sure.
google avatar

Yelp
This is exactly the kind of bar I should have stopped by when I first moved to Chicago over 2 years ago. Regardless, my boyfriend and I stopped here after one of my lectures the other night and we were very impressed. For a Tuesday night, exactly at 8 pm, it was pretty busy. We had to stand for a few minutes just to find two seats for us, but the bartenders were very accomodating and let us know that some people on the other side of the bar were leaving soon, which he did not need to do. Very kind staff indeed. The drinks were perfectly made. We both didn't really know what to get, and despite the multitude of customers, the bartender helping us still asked us insightful questions about what kind of drinks we tend to go for and provided us with his recommendations. Our favorite part of the place was the location. It is tucked away further down from near busy streets like Fullerton. That gives the place a real charm, instead of the typical popular bars you see on busy avenues around Lincoln Park. We will be back soon, and with others for sure!

Emily E.

Yelp
Stopped in at 5:30 on a Saturday. So cute and very friendly bartender. He was super helpful when picking a cocktail. We'll be back!!

Yelp
Definitely a breath of fresh air for the immediate area, a hip vibe for the just-out-of-DePaul crowd, and a respite from the dozens of sports and dive bars surrounding it. The drink menu has lots of variety, and they appear to be doing an excellent job with safety. So, in the context of the area and the crowd they're going for (early-to-mid 20s on the weekends), they're checking off all the boxes. But, when compared to the quality of places like Victor Bar, Bangers and Lace, Longman and Eagle, Gretel, etc., this is an average cocktail bar masquerading as something more. The quality of the cocktails, and the liquor in them, doesn't quite match the prices or environment. Glad we got to try it, and definitely appreciate what they're going for. If you're staying in the neighborhood, it's a good choice. Otherwise, split a Lyft with a buddy and spend the same prices on better quality elsewhere.

Victoire S.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite cocktail bars. Wonderful ambiance, great recipes, fairly priced.
google avatar

Tracy Y.

Yelp
The neighborhood need a new cocktail bar and based on our first visit, this is a great one! We walked in to a crowded bar, no seats available at the time. We were standing in the back discussing what we wanted to do and a bartender came up to us with menus and told us he would be back to take our order and bring drinks to us so we didn't have to try to fight our way to the bar. The kentucky bramble was our favorite drink we tried. We eventually got a table so we could sit and enjoy our drinks. We had a really great experience and will return!

Emma E.

Yelp
Highly recommend trying this place! The drinks were great and the vibes are really cute. I recommend trying the Lazy Diamond drink.
google avatar

Yelp
Started off fabulous. Staff is excellent. At the end of the night the music playing was racial slang and slurs. Change the music. No one wants to hear that crap!!!

Yelp
"This is the store where the creatures meet I wonder what they do in there..." I'm always down to try a place named after a classic rock song. Moreso when it slings delicious craft cocktails. I've long been a fan of Victor Bar, which is dark, sexy, and serves a mean drink, so I was pretty sure I would like its sultry, but slightly farther south sibling. Even though it's in Lincoln Park, it's mercifully free from Miller Lite-swilling brodudes. No lazy diamond studded flunkies either. At least not yet. Cocktails, as expected, are very appealing. We tried a total of 4 cocktails: Coral Reef - Pineapple Rum, Aperol, Bitter Grapefruit, Lemon, Cane Tropical and well-balanced Clover Club - Gin, lemon, raspberry, simple syrup. And although not listed, made with an egg white. As it should be. Great cocktail. Fire in the Hole - poblano chile, Mezcal, Pineapple, Lime, Agave, Cucumber, Absinthe Spray I've been coming around to mezcal cocktails lately. This was smoky, citrusy, and just sweet enough. Definitely packed a punch. Sazerac - rye, cognac, demerara, Peychaud's, Angostura, Absinthe Beautifully calibrated; you can never go wrong with a classic. The addition of the absinthe "rinse" gave it a unique flavor. Cocktails obviously take more time than ordering a beer or a glass of wine. You should plan to linger long on Love Street. Deal with it. Why are you ordering a beer anyway? Also, there's no food. You come here to drink. Plan ahead. "I guess I like it fine so far." Highly recommend.
google avatar

MacKenzie F.

Yelp
Love Street is a great addition to the Lincoln Park neighborhood! This cocktail bar has a full menu of unique cocktails. I had the Kentucky Bramble (bourbon, honey, lemon, and blackberry) and it was delicious (and on the sweet side, just so you know). Partner had the small batch bourbon old fashioned and he was very pleased with how smooth and flavorful it was. Prices are high but the drinks are exceptional and worth the cost! It is dark in there - it was still light out when we were there but it was hard to see in the back because of the black walls and low lighting. Was very happy to see that they had gender neutral bathrooms as well!
google avatar

Julie H.

Yelp
The group from Victor Bar created another masterpiece. Drinks are consistent (meaning, the best cocktails you've ever had) and they have maintained the intimate neighborhood vibe. Absolutely a must visit for anyone looking for an artisan cocktail at a fantastic price.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
What a great option to have in the hood. We came for a drink after dinner at Avli. So nice to have this ambiance without traveling afar. I thoroughly enjoyed my West Coast cocktail, while my boo also enjoyed his whiskey drink. I would have liked it if the brand of liquor used for the cocktails was listed in the menu. Service was great, as all the ladies at the bar really were on top of it. Happy to come back again.
google avatar

Brian O.

Yelp
Plenteous neighborhood bar striving to be a destination. Rude service and poorly made over sweet old fashions and sazeracs. If you must drink there stick to the malorts.
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
I'm new to the area from the Gold Coast and this place is refreshing for the usual neighborhood joints. Love the decor, the bartenders are not pretentious at all. I did the bartenders choice, told her the type of spirits I like and the flavors. She made me an awesome drink that's similar to a vesper? Something that James Bond drinks I was told with a slight twist. Drinks are priced as similar type lounges. Music was at a good volume enough to create a vibe, quiet enough to not have to shout. Everyone was dressed however and it was awesome! It was a Saturday late night so no tables available but managed seats at the bar. I would return!
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
First stop when driving into chicago, all the way from Florida!Loved the place, nice neighborhood and great atmosphere. The name caught my wife's attention since love street by the doors was our wedding song. Drinks were reasonably priced. Personal favorite was the fire in the hole. Cheers!
google avatar

Haley G.

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to sit and pay $18 for one drink this is the bar for you. The atmosphere is nothing notable as it is the exact same set up as every other Chicago neighborhood bar. They do have a fun option of letting the bartender pick you drink which my whole table did. They'll ask a few questions to tailor the drink to you and they were decent but I would be content not returning.
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
Visited Love Street tonight and loved it! The ambiance is amazing and drinks (we tried several, including the Esmerelda - my favorite) were delicious! Derrick our bartender was awesome. Super personable, welcoming and taught us a lot about cocktails and liquor in our one hour stay. I only wish we could have stayed longer (but parent duty was calling at home ;(). We will be back- for more drinks, more Derrick, and more good times for sure!!!

Dorian S.

Yelp
Let's just say I love this place. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders and a welcoming, elegant but subtle environment.
google avatar

Yelp
Love Street is the newest & hottest place to go. They have stunning handcrafted cocktails made by masters of this industry. Design is slick and the pink leather couch is the cherry on top
google avatar

Ivan R.

Yelp
Headed over to Love Street on a Sunday evening to meet up a friend for a drink, saw the great reviews on their drinks and especially on their old fashioned and being a whiskey and bourbon drinker decided to give them a try. They definitely lived up to the expectations! Their old fashioned was one of the best ones I've had thus far. The staff were great as well very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back for round 2.
google avatar

Yelp
Great new addition to the neighborhood. Balanced drinks and beautiful ambience. Wonderful date night spot and friendly bartenders!

Justin K.

Yelp
Best drinks and environment around the Chicago area. Drinks are perfectly made. Can't get over it

Wes B.

Yelp
So excited to have this gem open close to our house. Beautiful, serene atmosphere. Clean and decadent without being stuffy. The service was friendly and prompt, extremely professional. Drinks were impeccable. Similar quality to the bar program at a Land and Sea establishment. I had a lovely bourbon and vermouth drink and my wife enjoyed a mezcal drink that she called "the best cocktail I've ever had". We are excited to return many times!
google avatar

Edwin L.

Yelp
Bear was the best bartender. Super attentive, wonderful ambience, and there was a lot of thought put into the "Dealer's Choice" drinks. God bless him. We'll see you again, space cowboy.

Ah Liss Ah S.

Yelp
This is a super small cocktail bar hidden in a residential area in Lincoln park. The ambience is very dark and ... sultry? Not sure what they are trying to accomplish here actually .. when we went we spent $9 on a can of beer and sat in the booth area where it's "community seating" , meaning you sit next to strangers .. which is fine! Only problem is we sat next to two 40 yr olds who were making out like they were going to try to have another kid that night. The place seems like it's trying very hard to be some kind of upscale cocktail bar. I feel like it would be better if they toned it down a bit or had specials bc it's in a family neighborhood and I feel like the other moms I know wouldn't go here on their date nights .
google avatar

Monty K.

Yelp
We were in the area killing time before a show and this little detour to Love Street became the highlight of honeymoon! The atmosphere was chic but not in an intimidating way, but the cocktails were craftsman and as entertaining to watch as to drink.

Melissa N.

Yelp
Walked into love street after a rain storm. I'm cold and it's pouring. Anyway. I'm not allowed my simple aperol spritz because they "don't feel comfortable serving me." Totally understand not wanting to over serve someone but this was a big assumption when I am with a girl friend having a relaxed night. The bartenders were incredibly rude to us and I will not be coming back

Rose G.

Yelp
Augustina is the bomb! Awesome ambience and the Old Fashioned was delicious. Really cool hidden gem in a fun neighborhood.

Julie G.

Yelp
We happened to stumble across this spot and absolutely loved it! Amazing vibe, especially for a nicer drink. Was easy to get a table on a Friday night. Juan was our bartender and we all did "Dealer's Choice" - he asked us our preferences and made us incredible drinks off the menu. Highly recommend!
