Lovebirds Wine Bar + Bistro

My best friend and I hosted our birthday party here and had the most amazing time! It fits about 50 people indoors, so it's the perfect intimate setting to bring together friends and family. They have a great wine list and delicious small plates. The staff is friendly and communicative - they made sure all of our guests felt right at home. They kindly let us bring our own decorations & play our own music. It was overall a lovely experience and I would definitely have another event here. Highly highly recommend booking Lovebirds for your next event!

My partner and I hosted our post city hall micro wedding reception and dinner at Lovebirds and had a wonderful experience. We are not Greenpoint natives, so we came across Lovebirds online, liked the look of the space, and decided to go have dinner to try their food. We were very impressed with our dinner and wine that night so we immediately emailed them to book. James and the team were great to work with- very easy going and responsive. They handled our party of 18 for dinner with many dietary restrictions with ease. Their menu has great vegetarian and celiac friendly options. We opted for a gluten free cake from @abalconyinbrooklyn (Kaitlyn Wong) and the Lovebirds team helped box up leftovers for us at the end of the night. After dinner, we had 20-30 additional guests join us to toast our nuptials which the space accommodated well and their charcuterie and hummus platters were perfect for cocktail mingling. The team also allowed us to add floral and decor elements to the space which was important to us as my partner is an events florist and designer and I used to be a wedding planner. The space looked great, we had so much fun, everyone loved the food and drinks. 10/10 would recommend! Photos by Kirra Cheers

Came for my friend’s bday lunch. Such a cute spot, and the sandwiches were so yummy!! - Ham & cheese sando: 9/10, loved the hot honey - Egg & cheese sando: 8/10, also yummy but not as good as the ham & cheese sando - Wine: yum!

Lovebirds was the perfect spot to have my son's first birthday party! We served hors d'oeuvres and dessert which were all amazing! The ceviche and the espresso cheesecake were my favorite! I loved that we didn't feel crowded in the space but it also felt cozy. I will definitely come back and would love to use the space again in the future for another event!

This restaurant is truly one of those gems that you secretly don’t want to share, but know they deserve the shout out! Cozy atmosphere, excellent service, superb menu curated and prepared by a talented and passionate chef! Brooklyn at its Brooklyn best! A must try kind of place!

Very cute space, lovely for a morning beverage and bacon egg and cheese. Or for later in the day drinks/romantic little wine moment. Super cute and right on McGolrick park.

To be honest I was hesitant at first to try out a new place such as this. I love coffee but do not drink alcohol so wasn’t sure this would be an ideal fit for my needs. I was wrong. Lovebirds is my new go to place for my afternoon coffee/tea. The atmosphere (and location) are ideal. Very excited for the new outdoor seating! The selection of non alcoholic drinks is actually quite impressive as well. I can go there with my wine drinking friends and not feel left out of the experience. The staff are friendly and cool (but not overbearing like at some places). Prices are fair. What else can I say? Just go there and see for yourself. The place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood

This place is literally the best gem in North Brooklyn. I’ve lived in Greenpoint for 10 years and have never found a restaurant / cafe that has made me feel like if I moved away, my quality of life would be negatively impacted…. until Lovebirds. On multiple occasions I’ve found myself working from the cafe / lunching during the day, then finding a reason to come back in the evening for the amazing pasta & fun wine events. It’s the best of both worlds, a cozy classic coffee spot until about 5pm, then it magically turns into a sceney restaurant packed out with trendy New Yorkers clinking glasses and gushing over Michelin guide-quality food. Also, this is one of only 2 restaurants with outdoor seating actually on Mcgoldrick Park (another North Brooklyn hidden gem). It’s so pleasant to feel like you’re sitting in a forest but are still only a short stroll from the G train. Finally, the staff here is amazing, and are a big part of what makes this place feel so special. I even held my most recent birthday celebration here and it was such an enjoyable event that I am considering making it an annual tradition. Lovebirds is simply a quality spot that we’re lucky to have in the neighborhood.

I have been to Lovebirds many times and I always have a lovely experience. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. I love the vibe and the outside seating is super nice on a beautiful day. Would highly recommend!

Lovely place! Nice vibe with the dim lights and candles. My friend and I split a cheese plate and a bottle of the Willamette orange. Also tried a glass of the Nebbiolo. So delicious. Looking forward to trying more of their selections!

Wonderful atmosphere. I could have stayed just to listen to the music. I had a BLT sandwich on sourdough bread. It was delicious. Staff were genuinely friendly.

Honestly what threw me off was the staff. Very short and, in my opinion, rude. One of the most off putting experiences I've had in Greenpoint.

The food is good but the brunch waiter/bartender might be the rudest we've ever had. He made it a very unpleasant experience.

Very quaint and delicious restaurant, really loved the French toast and the ham and cheese sandwich, for brunch, staff was very friendly and service was prompt. Will come again!

Food is delicious. They make a perfect tea latte with honey. Very comfortable seating area and not too noisy. Great service!
