"After 12 years on Milwaukee Avenue, Lovely Kitchen & Cafe has abruptly closed its doors in Noble Square. The coffee shop, which served pastries and sandwiches, posted a note on its doors announcing its last day was Friday, June 22. No reason was give for the shutter and the note was also posted on the cafe’s website. The spot was originally known as Lovely: A Bake Shop and the name change reflected a 2016 ownership change." - Ashok Selvam

Delicious breakfast sandwich on croissant, friendly service! Great open space for working and lots of seating/tables. Cool outdoor space with even more seating options. This is a great spot to get work done and enjoy good food. Highly recommend!

A reviewer mentioned the vintage charm of the place. That's a great way to describe the decor. The place isn't fancy but it has such charm. Great fixture in the neighborhood. The baked good are beautifully crafted and their coffee goes well with them.

This place rocks, got a sweet tooth this is your place, want some great coffee this is your place, want some awesome fresh sandwiches this is your place. The manager was so welcoming and the staff was top notch. Great place to sit back and have some good conversation. they have a little outside area too. There is plenty of street parking just make sure and pay the meter. The desserts are so good, we had the pleasure of trying several different items and I can say the brownies, the pies and the cookies are wonderful. Stop by and give them a try, your sweet tooth will thank you! You have to try the cranberry, pecan pie super good, get 2, you'll thank yourself later.

Spacious with vintage charm, this cafe is the perfect place to get some serious work done or meet over coffee and quiche with friends. The prices are a tad bit high but the drip coffee is bottomless and serve yourself so I feel like it makes up for the price. Since it's a few blocks from the main Division St. hub, I've never had issues finding parking within a block or two.

High quality, fresh baked goods. Try the pumpkin or blueberry muffins. Great sandwiches too. We had a private event there and had a very positive experience. Fun decor, friendly staff too.

The best breakfast/lunch spot in the ‘hood! The staff is always super friendly and fun, and the food is consistently well-executed. I especially recommend the frittata, the reuben, and the toasted turkey pesto sandwich. Pastry and coffee offerings are equally impressive, making Lovely an essential neighborhood spot for a snack, a meal, or grab-and-go treats.

For truly homemade goods, this is a great place. The cookies and cupcakes don't look all proper like, but taste so delish! If you loved something your mother made, they probably bake it kind of like she did. The prices are a tad high IMO, but the cute ambience and nice staff more than make up for it.

This is a great local coffee shop. Coffee tastes wonderful and their pastries are scrumptious. So happy to see their pastries in the local Walgreens as well. Unfortunately they don't open until 9am on weekends, which is way too late for a mom. But the crowd that frequents this coffee shop is probably without kids. Kids or no kids - definitely worth visiting
