"Posted next door to each other along the Echo Park stretch of Sunset Boulevard, Lowboy and Ba,r Flores are two of the area’s most beloved spots. They’re great stops on a bar crawl, but I like to order a smash burger at the Lowboy window and bring it upstairs to Bar Flores for a cocktail on the patio. —Hannah Jackson, fashion writer"
"There may be nothing better than a post-hike burger and beer. After wandering around Elysian Park, Lowboy’s smash burgers, chicken tenders, fries, and more will hit the spot. The neighborhood watering hole also offers six beers on tap, plus bottles including Miller High Life and Coors. If your hike is later in the day, you might even migrate upstairs to Bar Flores afterward for some of the neighborhood’s best cocktails." - Rebecca Roland
"One of our favorite bars in Echo Park has been doing limited seatings for a while now, but if you’re a little nervous about grabbing a burger and a beer inside, fear not: They’ve also got a small enclosed patio on the sidewalk, and they’re cocktails are just as delicious (and deadly strong) outside." - brett keating
"Lowboy is a dark, wide-open space on Sunset that also happens to be one of the coolest bars in Echo Park (that serves food). Part of Lowboy's cool factor is that there's always something going on here, whether it's a cool DJ set, a live jazz band, or rotating drink specials with fun themes, like this one that's served in a boot. Pre-game Dodger Stadium with good music, a cocktail list that includes some particularly lethal tequila drinks, Jello-O shots, and one banging smashburger smothered in garlic mayo. If you're looking for a slightly more chill cocktail option, there's also Bar Flores upstairs." - sylvio martins
"Lowboy is the kind of drinks and snacks spot that every neighborhood deserves. Its owners made it possible to make good choices with Bar Flores directly upstairs, and Donna’s next door. But while at Lowboy, enjoy a weekday happy hour, a California-style burrito, and more. For something that’s easy to share with a group, try the Gator Fries, topped with 2000 Island onions, American cheese, and pickles." - Matthew Kang
