"Pastry fans flock to downtown’s Lucettegrace for pastry chef Daniel Benjamin’s superb versions of classic French pastries like croissant, kouign-amann, mille-feuille, and more. The pastry case is constantly rotated with new offerings, and there’s a coffee bar for those looking for a caffeine kick with their morning bun. The abbreviated lunch menu includes a must-order curry chicken salad sandwich and a classic Toulouse sandwich — butter, jambon, gherkins, and mustard on a baguette." - Matt Lardie

"Downtown Raleigh patisserie Lucettegrace boasts a handful of sandwiches worth trying, and a lunch box combo is just $16. The Toulouse is a Francophile’s dream — salty butter on a baguette with ham and cheese, sprinkled with crunchy cornichons." - Catherine Currin

When you enter there are a couple stairs to reach the counter. There are lots of yummy treats available. Many pastries. Prices are between $4 and $10. They have a couple gluten free options but no gluten free pastry. There are multiple coffee options. I had an Americano and it was good. My son really enjoyed the fruit pastry he got. It had custard and strawberry type preserves. Well baked and flaky. There are 2 restrooms available. The one I used was clean. The one complaint is that it was hot inside. They could enjoy the use of the air conditioner more to make patrons more comfortable.

Google
Lucettegrace...WOW, WOW, AND UH WOW!!! 10 out of 5 stars!!! AMAZING pastries! I purchased and had them deliver 4 dozen of 4 types of pastries to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday at Vidrio Restaurant, 22 March 2025. All attendees for the surprise 60th Birthday party continue to RAVE about Lucettegrace pastries!!! You can order for an event like I did. OR go in and enjoy a pastry, tea or coffee!! Daniel and the staff make these MORE than delicious sweets IN-HOUSE and you can watch them through the back room viewing area. GO HERE with laptop, or friend or family and/or ORDER FOR YOUR NEXT EVENT...Thanks LucetteGrace for making the dessert part of evening for our party amazing!!!! YUMMM!!!

Google
Lucettegrace is our go-to spot for a special treat. The croissants are unbelievably flaky and buttery, and the coffee is always smooth and delicious. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming—even our kids love it here! A perfect place for a family pastry stop in downtown Raleigh.

Google
I would rate a 3.5. I got a caramel latte and a changes in latitude. I'm sharing an image of macaroons but have no idea what they taste like. The changes in latitude is a coconut tres leche cake, keylime custard on the inside. There is a mousse topping with a strong lime center. I would have liked a bit more keylime flavor in the custard. For me, it was barely noticeable but spreading the lime cream up top provided the flavor. I liked the texture of the dessert overall but if it wasnt for the mousse and lime center on top, it didn't taste like much of anything to me. The coconut was barely noticeable which for me is a plus, I dont do coconut but was trying something different. Its is not a sweet dessert nor was I looking for that. My coffee was good but I can't really judge it with the dessert as the start of my experience while waiting for the coffee. The ambience was nice and the woman helping us was nice enough. We didn't chat about anything, but she definitely wasn't rude or acting annoyed as some places. She walks your drinks over after she prepares them, so this could be a bit time consuming for someone in a hurry. Another staff member finally came out to help. I would go back, for coffee/latte. The price, $6, for it was along the lines of all the other places selling coffee in that area. But I do think the pastries are expensive. Today's market, what isn't?

Google
Do you like fresh made pastries? I do. I had the ham and cheese and the Korean as well as the fruit danish. Al three were excellent. The mocha is definitely a recommendation too.

Google
First timers, my husband and I visited this morning and I got the ham and cheese croissant and my hubby got the curry chicken sandwich. We grabbed a few other pastries too. The lucette coffee was amazing and the gentleman that helped us was so helpful. My toasted ham and cheese croissant... to die for!

Google
I actually went twice. Sweets in the morning. Nothing short of amazing! Sandwiches and coffee in the afternoon. The food is fresh and delicious. The restaurant is very clean.

Google
What an outstanding patisserie! I am never disappointed when I drop in for something sweet and savory or nice and warm. The nun ya biscuits are wonderful and I cannot help but go for something with fresh fruit or chocolate and hazelnut, ha! Stop by when you get the chance, you won't be disappointed. There is plenty of seating and although you will need to pay for parking (that's downtown Raleigh), it is a worth wild experience.

Tanner H.

Yelp
Amazing, the sandwiches were so good, the desserts were so good, the drinks were really good. Come by here! I will return again! I will dream of this food

Emily A.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I've only ever done a curb order. Not even sure if they have seating inside. It's a little pricey but worth it for a nice occasion. Everything I've ever ordered has been great.

Shanelle Y.

Yelp
Slightly disappointed by their lack of milk and flavor options. The barista also mixed up the drink orders and made them wrong the first time, and although she amended it, seemed upset about the fact that she had to do so. Food options also were very meager.

Rich M.

Yelp
Came here off a heavy recommendation while downtown Raleigh. Considering it was cold out, coming to a local coffee shop was just what we wanted. You can view to accompanying photos to see the inside, it's really tasteful and the ambiance is calm and chill. We noticed the cleanliness of this establishment is top notch (including the bathrooms). Service was great, just one worker behind the counter but she was able to keep up. She was so friendly and helped us with ordering what we were in the mood for. I got the Lucettegrace HOT coffee which is two espresso shots with steamed condensed milk. This is exactly what I was looking for and one of the best sweet hot coffee drinks I've had. We also got a chai tea latte which was absolutely delicious. Now on top of the bomb drink experience we got a pastry which I forgot the name of however what was awesome was that the girl ended up giving us a free baklava croissant. This was so unexpected but much appreciated. "I'll be back!" - Arnold Schwarzenegger

Mandy P.

Yelp
Came here for a cold brew and croissant. They have a ramp in the back if you need it. The croissant was super flakey and savory and the chocolate was sweet and creamy. Very butter forward. Also plenty of seating.

Abby O.

Yelp
I had heard about this place from someone and so I decided to stop by on my way through. I wanted to get everything because it all looked so good but I ended up getting the l'italien sandwich, baklava croissant, cornetto cioccolato, the nun' ya biscuits, and the gay bar. They were all amazing but i wish i had gotten more of those biscuits because they were mind blowing and sausage gravy inside a biscuit is a revolutionary idea in my opinion. Next time I am near Raleigh I will definitely stop by again.

Julie B.

Yelp
Sandwiches brought me back to Paris and the tomato soup was amazing! The kids liked all their "sweet treats" too. We will be back!

Sarah P.

Yelp
Glorious pastry case and super friendly! Loved the cheesecake and croissants. Enjoyed the option to take a boxed lunch to go--yum!

Mariana B.

Yelp
The baklava croissant is the best. The coffee is also very good and it comes in the perfect temperature to be drunk right away.

Natasha D.

Yelp
The pastries are really nice. They have a fun variety to offer. Coffee is excellent. If you're in downtown Raleigh I highly recommend going.

Irena J.

Yelp
We love the pastries and coffee here, and try to visit at least once a month! Although it is pretty far away from where we currently reside, we love the desserts so much that we make it there to enjoy their delicious macaroons! I wish we lived closer.

Silver R.

Yelp
I've been a long time patron of Lucettegrace and I've really enjoyed this bakery. To start off it's in a unique space (love the window seats!!) and in the heart of downtown making it a frequent for employees of nearby businesses on break. The many bakers there are very talented and friendly and you'll always be treated nicely here. As for the food it's really good! They have amazing pastries and sandwiches and if you're looking for something fancier for your pallet you can indulge in some of the gorgeous cakes and tarts! Sometimes some of the rotating items can be hit or miss but for the most part they stay consistent. Heads up they can be a bit pricy!! The only negative to this place is that its prone to echoing and they often crank the music way up.

Roxie H.

Yelp
Super cute bakery in downtown Raleigh. We went in the later afternoon solely for desserts and coffee but they have a variety of baked goods and sandwiches offered for breakfast/lunch as well. The woman who took our order was patient in explaining each dessert/pastry and offered her personal recommendations. Considering we came right before closing, this was greatly appreciated. A+ service. Both desserts tasted amazing. Perfectly made. Can't wait to return to try the others.

Kierstyn M.

Yelp
Great place to grab a coffee and a snack. Went in with a group. Ordered a dessert called "raleigh durham", basically a hazelnut caramel dessert. Boyfriend ordered a chai latte. While the dessert wasn't my cup of tea the flavor was still there and it was a beautiful dessert. The chai latte though was delicious! Well made and full of flavor. It's a small shop so they fill up fast but definitely worth a visit!

Priyanka B.

Yelp
So glad we found this bakery. The menu is small but it's obvious that the food is all perfect quality. We wanted the Italian sandwich but unfortunately they were out. We got the mushroom croissant instead. My friend doesn't like mushrooms and really enjoyed it! That says a lot! The croissant was flakey and the stuffing was perfectly seasoned. They bakery items that are regular size and mini bite sizes. I had the key lime tart. The sweetness and tartness was perfecty balanced. It felt like a little European bakery. I will definitely be going back for the Italian sandwich and try more pastries!!

Amber N.

Yelp
It has a very cute, chill atmosphere. I received great service. I only tried one thing which was the brown butter chocolate chunk cookie. It was not too sweet or too soft. It has the right balance and was overall a great cookie. I would definitely try more things.

Sungmin S.

Yelp
+ great coffee + some pastries were good, like the apricot danish and garlic cream cheese bread + good service - limited parking - curry chicken sandwich was too salty - macarons were below average -- filling was somehow too salty? - chocolate chip cookie was too soft and not crispy/chewy Cute bakery, but think there are better options in RTP!

Jenny S.

Yelp
Perfect place to stop in for coffee & dessert to cool off from the heat as we were walking around town We basically ate non-stop as we walked around town & couldn't resist the display of desserts at Lucette Grace ---strawberry tart: the hubby doesn't care for dessert but he does love tarts and this tart delivered! They also sell savory foods, curious how the savory menu would be

Jennifer S.

Yelp
We wanted cheesecake. However I had my first freshly made macaroon and this hazelnut filled pastry... holy crap they were so good! He got some gluten free chocolate, raspberry, pistachios something or other. We enjoyed it!

Chelsey D.

Yelp
I don't normally go out solely for dessert or to patisseries, but our friend wanted to show us this spot and Lucettegrace really wowed me! It's a cute contemporary space in downtown Raleigh with a showcase of beautifully executed desserts along with coffee, tea, and non-caffeinated drinks for the normal people ;P I can't remember the names of all of the desserts we tried, but the purple one with the blueberries on top was our group's favorite! My second and third would have to be the snickers and the chocolate bar with hazelnut and/or toffee (in the video, not the pic). I recommend this spot for anyone with a sweet tooth who loves aesthetically pleasing, Insta-worthy foods!

Ashleigh F.

Yelp
This place has a cool vibe. Very nice help at the counter. Answered our questions and when we couldn't pronounce "tarte aux agrumes" she reassured us we weren't the only ones haha! We got one of the "Tarte aux agrumes" which is a lemon tart. Phenomenal! We also got the "cacao et cafe" it's basically dark chocolate brownie cakes with some amazing mousse toppings and just I would sell a kidney for a the large one. That's how great it was. We also got some macarons. They unfortunately weren't the greatest they tasted pretty stale :( I would come back for another try

Roksolana H.

Yelp
This place is such a gem! The most welcoming and warm ambience. The selection of baked goodies was abundant from macarons and croissants to delectably savory buns. We visited around brunch time so the lunch box special seemed like the best option. You can select a sandwich, soup/side salad, and dessert option (we went with the Eggnog macaron, which in fact was to die for). The sandwich was alright but the tomato soup - Oh lord, just pure heaven. The perfect combination of creaminess and tang, just lovely really. As for the pastries, the ham and cheese croissant had the right blend of crisp and cheesiness. The Korean cream cheese bun was such a delectable experience, highly recommend everyone to try. The blend of sweet and salty - wow, just wow. Last but not least, the macarons. I just loved the unique flavors you can select from. The eggnog and gingerbread flavors were just chef's kiss. Honestly, overall great experience. The workers were so pleasant and sweet. One of them even complimented me on my sweater and boy oh boy can you tell that my love language is words of affirmation.. oh and food, definitely food. Anywho, please come and fall in love with this place just as I have.

Juliana L.

Yelp
Lucettegrace is a lovely patisserie in downtown Raleigh. The pastries are delicious, freshly baked and their displays are eye catching. My husband and I chose a few baked goods to take home. Their Pain Au Chocolat was flakey with a delicious chocolate center. The macarons have incredible flavor and are the best ones I've bought in the triangle area. I liked their iced latte, the coffee wasn't bitter and was refreshing for a hot day. The interior is inviting with sunny yellow seating. Luccettegrace is well worth a visit to the City of Oaks.

Fabiola D.

Yelp
A nice little French bakery in downtown Raleigh....to take a little break with a nice few sweet selection... and just a very short walking distance from the popular Bida Manda & Brewery Bhavana....these 3 places is close to each other...just in case you need some ideas to go for lunch or dinner and grab some sweets at th3 same time...but only have so little time We had a nice quick stop at Lucettegrace and we can see that their macarons are popular....mostly people come and look for their macarons...and go with it. You gotta try their Kouign-amann and my favourite Canelés....with a nice cup of coffee...oh yeaaah...what a perfect pair. So go and check this place....it won't dissapoint you

Angela S.

Yelp
The food is really good phenomenal but the staff is rude. They don't smile and when you ask for something instead of telling you that they would do it. Yes they will serve you, but they give you a dirty look and it seems like they're angry to help.

Kehaulani Y.

Yelp
I can't recall the name but I tried a flourless chocolate cake with raspberry (about $8-9). It was beautiful to look at and the presentation was certainly there but it just tasted alright. True score of 3.5 as it was beautiful and I enjoyed the fresh raspberries but the cake was lacking for me. The shop was nice and I enjoyed the window seats. I plan to revisit and try another pastry.

Lexi M.

Yelp
Full disclosure: I came here a few days after I got home from a trip to France, so my taste buds had been spoiled for a week. I was disappointed in the texture of the almond croissant, and it was slightly overcooked...I'm actually surprised they could sell the one I got because it had black burnt edges. My lavender coffee was the shwaest part about the whole place. But I have to say it was overpriced it's quality. It's a cute place to hang out or get work done though.

Katie B.

Yelp
What a great place! The atmosphere was fun, but the real star were the pastries and desserts. I got the baklava croissant and an iced mocha. The baklava croissant was delicious! The outside was slightly crunchy and had chopped pistachios. The location was also on the way from the Amtrak station to the museums, which was very convenient. I would definitely recommend. :)

Destiny M.

Yelp
Came in on a cold Saturday and ordered the lunchbox. The food came quick and the staff were very friendly. This is a smaller spot but they make it easy and comfortable for single diners with a corner bar top. The music also added to the mellow and relaxed Saturday vibes that were there. Happy to say I'd come back for more

Jeff D.

Yelp
Lucettegrace was great. I had the curry chicken sandwich, which was delicious, and the "Best of Both Worlds Really", which lived up to its name. Would highly recommend :)

Gracie R.

Yelp
I come here more or less every day because it's that good. My favorites are the baklava croissant, the lucettegrace iced coffee (it has sweet condensed milk, soooo good), and the sweetened lebanese iced tea. I also liked the sexy gardener (it's the name of a croissant I swear) and the iced chai.

Stefanie H.

Yelp
Such a lovely morning coffee run at the most adorable coffee house, Lucettegrace, located on Salisbury Street in Raleigh! Pictured here is their Ham and Cheese croissant, an Americano, macarons, and a brown butter Rice Krispie treat! That croissant was flaky, buttery, and the perfect ratio of ham to cheese. The macarons are probably some of the best I've had, soft, sweet, and the taste matched the name/flavor perfectly. And the Brown Butter Rice Krispie treat with French chocolate bits will make your taste buds sing; it is a beautiful combination of salty and sweet!

Anne S.

Yelp
Good coffee, nice food and light and clean. Great to take out but just not a cozy spot.

Haley M.

Yelp
1st time here was a wonderful experience! Cashier took her time explaining the menu. Recommend amazing coffee and treats for us!

Madhu A.

Yelp
I had their Rose macaron and caramel cappuccino and I enjoyed them both, esp the rose flavored macaron! Ambiance was great too!

Megan P.

Yelp
I love this place! They have the best macarons and their new macaron ice cream sandwich is a must try! Such a cute little place and a good variety of pastries.

Christina M.

Yelp
Yum! How can you turn these absolutely gorgeous pastries down? We were originally only going to try one pastry but couldn't narrow down all of the delicious choices to one. We ended up getting the strawberry, raspberry, & rhubarb croissant, salted caramel brownie, and a Ukranian inspired sunflower seed flavored macaron. WOW. So the salted caramel brownie is what caught our eyes at first and, while it's good, it was a bit dense. Would be perfect with a scoop of ice cream! The croissant and macaron though? Mwah, chefs kiss, pure perfection. Light and sweet but not overly so and just pure perfection. I've never come across a sunflower seed macaron and it is my new addiction. SO good!

Mandy N.

Yelp
Maybe I caught them at a weird time, but there honestly wasn't a huge selection! Walked in and was greeted. Staff was attentive and polite. Facility seemed clean! I honestly can't complain. I can't speak for the coffee portion, as I was only there to purchase something to satisfy my sweet tooth. I also can't recall what kind of chocolate cake I purchased, but the piece was so, sooooooo, tiny. Maybe I'm just used to honkin' slices of cake for like $10, but ‍‍‍ I was like damnnnn, that's expensive for this itty bitty rectangle. Anyway, it was supposed to have espresso in it. Chocolate, espresso, mousse-- all things I love. Surprisingly was not my favorite. Maybe I'm just not boujee enough, who knows lol! The macaron, however, I would give a solid 5 stars. It was lemon blueberry and I wish I would have bought flavors more to try. It had this glob of fresh blueberry something in the very middle that was divine! The ratio of blueberry to lemon was just spot on. I can't even describe how good it was. If in the area again, I may consider going at another time of day to see what else they have!

Jillian S.

Yelp
Amazing, unique desserts! Stopped here on a weekday afternoon while downtown. There was one customer dining in and no line. They took our order right away and answered our questions. Only about a minute after we placed the order, they brought it out. Everything was accurate and tasted better than expected. We ordered: Baklava Croissant - flavor and texture was absolutely amazing! The flaky croissant was filled with delicious baklava. It is dense and filling so it lasted multiple meals. Cheese Danish - good flavor, exactly what we wanted Queen Cake - we purchased the whole cake since it sounded and looked unique. The flaky pastry is full of baklava and raspberry and rose flavors. I definitely wanted to eat multiple slices, but I practiced self control and slowly savored one slice. I am now looking forward to eating the rest! Birthday Macaron - perfect texture and level of sweetness. Often macarons are overly sweet, but not these! Plus they have a faint birthday cake flavor. Iced Coffee - interesting flavor. It did not have a strong coffee flavor, but also wasn't watery. It was more similar to a cold brew. We definitely would recommend this patisserie to others!

Lilly B.

Yelp
I was visiting Raleigh and wanted to try a place with yummy dessert! Lucettegrace was adorable and I loved the story behind the name! I've never had such decadent desserts before and was extremely impressed. Each dessert was packaged in a neat little togo box! This made everything easy for transport and kept the dessert intact to bring home. The l'reviensa was is my absolute favorite treat of the day! Layers of mousse, chocolate, and brownie! So rich and tastey! Thank God I don't live nearby because I would visit all too often!

Daniel M.

Yelp
The pastries are amazingly beautiful. But the cost is concentrated on the appearance rather than the substance. I tried four different pastries. Cannot say I didn't care for any of them, but I don't think they were superior enough to warrant the prices for them. As I said, the appearance and presentation were completely gorgeous, but I would rather have a delicious slice of pie that looked like grandma made in her tiny kitchen.

Anthony W.

Yelp
This is by far the best French-style bakery I have tried in the triangle. The sweets are not overly sweet and they are all delicious! The croissants are actually authentic, and always very fresh.

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Omg. Stop scrolling. Proceed straight to Lucettegrace. This is the best coffee and breakfast I've had in Raleigh!!! The place itself has a hipster but not too hipster vibe, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Seriously, stop reading and go eat there!!!

Caroline N.

Yelp
Stopped here for a gift of gluten-free macarons (which the recipient loved) and had a divine baklava croissant.

Zee A.

Yelp
I let my son, Nuri rate this. He's just as much a foodie as I am. He gives it a 5 out of 5. I concur

John B.

Yelp
[Coronavirus review] Open for takeout; there was a capacity limit but given how creepy and deserted downtown Raleigh presently is, I wasn't in danger of pushing them over it. The selection of pastries and macarons made choosing difficult. Fortunately, I was buying for a group so I basically ordered one of everything. The salted caramel brownie I took for myself was luscious, and the cookie was far beyond a normal cookie. The rest of the box disappeared appropriately. They had a lunch selection as well, but I imagine I would get something sweet if I were back in the neighborhood regardless.

Sarah B.

Yelp
Went to Lucette Grace this morning for the first time! Extremely friendly staff greeted us as we walked in. My friend and I split a warmed up Korean garlic bun and a baklava croissant. Both of the pastries were excellent, extremely fresh, flaky/ plush, and so delicious. The hot oat milk chai I got was not spicy but smooth and flavorful. The Lebanese iced tea was also something to remember. It was floral and not too sweet. Inside the chairs are spaced comfortably apart and the yellow chairs were cute as we came on a rainy day. The music was also great for a wide array of individuals. I highly recommend this bakery/ coffee shop/ lunch spot!

Danielle A.

Yelp
I've only been twice but both times I ordered two lunch boxes for myself and my husband. Their sandwiches are excellent as are their macrons. I've also had a few of their specialty desserts and have been impressed. Any time I'm downtown around lunch I like stopping by and getting the lunch box. It's quick, easy and delicious! Another HIGHLY recommended spot by me.

Deez N.

Yelp
The little old lady (or at least looks old to me) with brown glasses who is pissed all the time you know who youvare! Your energy is static, try to smile once in a while and stop looking at people like you hate them. Was there for 1st time with my wife, man, her attitude belongs with the 12 trash cans a couple shops down stinking up the area. NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY, AS THERE IS NO RAMP FOR ACCESS.
