The Real Deal is Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que delivers on outstanding bbq and amazing bbq style environment to dine. Let’s start off the service which I’ve been here a bunch most every time the servers are really friendly, amazing knowledge about the menu, and quick service. All smiles on the service. The atmosphere has some amazing old fashion vibe, old wall art that could take a day to look through it all, and many dining options. There is indoor and outdoor seating options. A full bar, booths, tables and different styles of dining like a patio seating but inside or other backyard style patio outdoors. I will take more pictures next of the inside and out and update you. Now onto the Grand Event: the Food!! BBQ is amazing but some of it can be hit and miss and you need to factor smoking process which takes a long time so some meats are freshly done and amazing and others maybe coming from the warmer. I will update with a ton of pictures over my next several visits. Definitely one of best bbq places around. Must try and must have!! Cheers!!!

Every time I come here the place is busy so I truly must say something. The wait time was exactly what they indicated to me. Spent a little time in the bar so the time was well spent. The wide variety of menu choices made it easy or perhaps more difficult to choose what to get but we got the standard ribs macaroni and cheese and other items.. but celebrating my birthday here was a different treat, especially when you getting older and you don't need people singing to you it was a little embarrassing but I love the free dessert..

BBQ done right! Now I've always been skeptical of big chain restaurants, but they seem to have the recipe down. Now it's not all perfect, such as the burnt ends can be super fatty and not pleasant to eat, unless you're into that. The good is the brisket and the tritips. Which is super soft and falls apart in your mouth. They have three house BBQ sauce that's on every table which I recommend them all! Their appe butter biscuits are amazing! The ambiance reminds me of hanging out in someone's backyard in the south! Love it.

Wow! We ordered a full rack rib plate with beans, fries and potato salad and everything was delicious, but the REAL star was the banana pudding. 10/10 recommend this place but 15/10 recommend the banana pudding. The vanilla wafer crumble somehow stayed crunchy the next day when I had left overs. Split with my husband and STILL had a massive amount of left overs for lunch the next day. Now I’m excited to try this place in person if the food was this good delivered. *photo of left overs*

we've been to lucille's a few times now, and it's such a great place for big parties and special moment celebrations! for starters, we were a party of 4, and had a reservation. let's breakdown our dining experience: SEATING lots of seating, even in the bar. if you don't have a reservation, and the wait is long -- consider sitting in the bar! lots of open tables and the bar staff were great! FOOD the folks that got bbq in my group LOVED their food. the brisket was fantastic, chicken wasn't dry, and their sides were amazing. i should've known, coming to a bbq place, that getting grilled salmon was probably not going to be the move and should've stuck with my gut! it was a little fishy, overcooked, and needed more flavor (the sauce was on the bottom of the fish for some reason?). the street corn was also a major let down. it said it had cilantro lime butter on it but mine tasted like corn on the cob with cotija sprinkled on it. it kinda stinks when you have to add your own salt and pepper to food that should ordinarily be flavorful :( also a major bummer that you're paying extra for a "premium" side *womp womp*. however, the biscuits and apple butter served with the meal are AMAZING. there’s a little crystallized sugar on the top, and it pairs so perfectly with the biscuit.. dreaming of those as i type this out. SERVICE Todd was our server, and took great care of us despite being busy with his other tables! the staff were all so friendly from the hostess to the bussers. a great team overall! ATMOSPHERE it is really so cool inside. the decode is so great and eclectic. it's always packed and busy. the music is great, and it really is such a great place for people of all ages; parties big and small! lucille's does a great job creating such a great space for people to enjoy! PARKING tonnnns of parking in the lot in front of the restaurant and a secondary lot adjacent. we were grateful to park far away for how full our bellies were after our meal! overall, will be back -- hoping for a little more flavor to my meal next time :)

Google
THE BEST. Had great dinner here with the family. Biggest letdown was we came all the way from Holland and after 13years I finally wanted to but a new Lucille’s shirt. Turns out there wasn’t any stock🥲

Google
Perfect spot for a meal! Definitely recommend for family and friends. Service is fantastic and they can host big parties as well. Food is delicious and service is quick. Biscuits are the best :)

Google
The service was top-notch. Our waitress was so attentive and friendly. She made our lunch date an amazing experience. The food was okay. Was a little disappointed that the tri tip was overcooked and small portions for the price. The bbq chicken and brisket were great. The onion straws were amazing, too. They have a great selection of whiskey and other drinks as well.

Yelp
The host was very accommodating to our child with sensory processing disorder, finding us a nice booth in a quieter portion of the restaurant. Our server Gena was fantastic, and she managed our table expertly while never making us feel rushed or left wanting. The food was great, the atmosphere fun, and the mason jar soft drinks a godsend on a hot summer day. We enjoyed the experience immensely, and we look forward to returning!

Yelp
7/6/2025 Came here for a quick lunch. The inside is super cute. Takes you back in time. Ashlyn was a nice host. She brought us to a booth after hearing our request. Our sever talyor is a gem. Has an open and friendly energy. My grandpa always makes these jokes and she manage to match that energy. Good luck on your nursing school journey Taylor. Like last time, we ordered the baby back ribs half rack and gumbo. This time we got strawberry lemonade ($6) and tried the peach lemonade as well. Great recommendation by Taylor. Both lemonade had strong fruit flavors. The peach was slightly more tart than the strawberry. Nothing can go wrong with a cold glass of lemonade paired with a rack of ribs. We mixed the peach and strawberry lemonade for a beautiful sunset lemonade ( pic). We split both the rack or ribs and the gumbo for two people and it was a lot and delicious. The portion size here are quite big. Every time I come to Sacramento area, I must get some Lucille's. It is now one of my Togo spots that I would recommend to friends.

Yelp
Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que delivered on flavor, comfort, and service. We ordered a variety of meats and each one melted in our mouths, tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor. The biscuits with apple butter were light, fluffy, and packed with sweet, buttery goodness. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, and Lucille's signature onion straws were perfect for sharing and added a crispy touch to the meal. I ordered a seasonal old fashioned that didn't hit the mark for me, and the staff had no issue switching it out for a regular one served neat. That kind of service says a lot, they were smiling, helpful, and attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance was just right, not too loud and not too quiet, making it easy to enjoy the meal and conversation. There is plenty of parking available, and they also offer a dedicated to-go pick-up area which makes it easy for takeout if you're on the move. We'll definitely be back again. Follow me and friend me for more real reviews that help you choose the right spots for great food and great service.

Yelp
After a disappointing experience during my last couple of visits. I was encouraged to return. I took their suggestion to heart and waited a few months before giving the restaurant another try. I'm so glad I did. This time, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. It was a bustling Friday evening, yet the waitstaff remained gracious, warm, and incredibly attentive, never once letting the crowd affect their level of service. I ordered the gumbo, and from the first spoonful, I was transported straight back to New Orleans. The broth was luxuriously rich, deeply seasoned, and brimming with layers of flavor, smoky and spicy, with tender morsels of andouille sausage, plump shrimp, and soft, fragrant rice that soaked up every bit of the delicious stew. My guests had the chicken-fried steak and the baby back ribs. The steak had a crisp, golden-brown crust that gave way to a juicy and perfectly seasoned center. The ribs were tender, succulent, and fell clean off the bone. They were kissed with just the right amount of smokiness and finished with a glaze that was tangy, sweet, and not cloying. Best of all, nothing felt greasy or heavy. We shared a wedge salad, and it was elevated far beyond the ordinary. The iceberg lettuce was crisp and chilled, topped with crumbled blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, and crunchy bacon. But what truly set it apart was the delicate drizzle of honey (or perhaps a honey-infused vinaigrette), which added a subtle sweetness that beautifully balanced the richness. This experience was a complete turnaround from the last. I left full, happy, and thoroughly impressed. I will absolutely be back, and soon.

Yelp
This was our second visit to Lucille's. We were excited to try it again. It was nice to be welcomed in by the friendly hostess. The atmosphere was also welcoming with southern paraphernalia. Our waitress Maddy stole the show with her attentiveness and personality. We tried the brisket and were very delighted with its texture including the pink smoke ring and cross cut. Great job! We ordered ribs and more ribs. They were very delicious, juicy and tender with a nice crust. I recommend the spicy BBQ sauce. The Mac and cheese and beans were our favorite sides. Thanks Lindsay for the invite. I will definitely be back again and again.

Yelp
Yessss FINALLY a local BBQ spot that satisfies our cravings for good'ol Baby Back Ribs!! Lets be clear, you can't compare ANY spot to Phil's BBQ at San Diego, but this certainly is one of the better spots for delicious ribs! Warm, family friendly ambience for various occasions that won't disappoint (also depends on your server). Prices are fair, service can use some help and speed up a bit (or perhaps just low staffed the day we went), parking is incredibly generous and spacious, wait time can be longer than expected thanks to the slow service... so then why 5 stars? Is it worth the wait? It's all about the ribs and if you're a foodie for good, soft, delicious, melts off the bone ribs - it's definitely worth the wait and patience! Our waitress was fun and incredible. She tended to us wonderfully despite overseeing so many tables. Kids got to ring the bell which was nice to experience! And dessert - oh wow, the ice cream serving was MUCH bigger that we anticipated. All in all, highly recommended for ribs' specialists. Come hungry and leave satisfyingly happy!!

Yelp
First time here and all I have to say that, I was STUFFED and satisfied ordered the fried chicken dinner and I loved it! At our table we ordered the jambalaya, corn on the cob Spinach dip and the burnt ends! All the foods were very good Went around lunchtime and the service was EXCELLENT our waitress was very pleasant and so attentive very good service. Loved that we were seated by a window overall a very great vibe! Definitely will be going back even if we live an hour and a half away!

Yelp
Got the full rack baby back ribs with vegetables and coleslaw as sides. I love their baby back ribs so I tend to order that most of the time. I opted for the full rack because I noticed that the make your own now has just 1/3 instead of 1/2 baby back ribs option. Gina, our server for the night was efficient and fast. It was a full night and we got seated after a 15 minute wait time.

Yelp
I loved the southern esthetic of the restaurant & the smell of barbecue that filled the place. I've heard a lot about Lucille's & finally had to try it. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 toddlers & when we showed up it was a full house and we waited about 45 minutes before being seated. Once we were seated our waitress Riley tended to us and she was super polite & her service was exceptional. As far as the food, the food came out in a timely manner and for the most part we enjoyed it. I ordered a rack of ribs with a side of French fries & sautéed vegetables & I paired it with the table side Lucille's bbq sauce (which tasted amazing) & the only thing I can say the ribs is I wished it was more tender but still satisfying. Overall the experience was a good one & will return for future bbq cravings.

Yelp
We were looking for some BBQ and hadn't been to Lucille's in a while. They also have good Bourbon cocktails so headed over. We decided to sit at the bar which wasn't crowded for a Saturday although there was a large group in a room off to the side that was quite noisy. The bartender greeted us right away and asked if we wanted drinks and food. She handed us menus and checked out the drinks. We decided on the Kentucky Cooler which sounded refreshing. We ordered the Cracked out Deviled Eggs. We always love their biscuits with honey butter to start. The drink was very good and love the cucumber and rosemary in the drink. The deviled eggs were very tasty. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy sandwich with Potato Salad. I love a sandwich topped with a fried pickle. I love Shrimp Po Boy sandwiches and this was not my favorite. The bread was a big too chewy and the shrimp were over fried. Usually the bread is light and shrimp lightly coated. The fried pickle was good. The potato salad was great as always. We also saw a sign for Whiskey Wednesday which we will have to check out. The bartender always made sure we had everything we needed.

Yelp
My brother-in-law and I went for a nice BBQ lunch and were very disappointed in the food. I ordered the Smokehouse specialty of baby back ribs and they were dry, overdone, with very little meat. He had a pulled pork sandwich which was also overdone and dry. The restaurant is comfortable and can seat a lot of people and was not busy at all at peak lunchtime. I think maybe the poor food quality is getting around town and people are not going anymore.

Yelp
We were so sad when the Lucille's in Concord closed so we had to stop here for some take out on our way through the area. First off, they have a lovely covered patio that is dog friendly, so bonus points for that! We ended up taking the food home to eat because we had our dog with us so we ordered ahead for takeout, not knowing. The food was well packaged and I love that they give you wet naps too! We are going to get a huge serving of ribs next time now that we know that!. We ordered fried green tomatoes, loaded comeback fries, pork belly and a burger with cole slaw. The food here is tasty and has a good amount of flavor. I remembered to remove the jalapenos from the fries but did not know they put them on the tomatoes too so I had to pick those ones off. The tomato slices were a little thick, so the bitterness was slightly overpowering and they need a lot more sauce in their slaw. It was dry and bland so that was a little disappointing but everything else was very tasty and we are already planning our next visit!

Yelp
We have never been a true fan of Lucilles, but it was always a decent place for a "last resort". That is no longer the case! It appears they are cutting corners on there ingredientsand quality. Baby back ribs:. Dry, no smoke ring and extremely salty Brisket: Some what tough, no smoke ring and no flavor. Mac an cheese: Resembled kraft macaroni and cheese. Mashed potatoes: Tasted as it came out a tube or can. This place is not worth the money nor the stomach space!

Yelp
I'd heard great things about Lucille's, so my husband and I decided to try it out. Sadly, I was disappointed. The "Cracked Out" Deviled Eggs tasted like they'd been in the fridge, and the mac 'n' cheese seemed store-bought. We tried the tri-tip, brisket, and pork belly burnt ends. Only the burnt ends were good, while the tri-tip and brisket were dry and needed BBQ sauce with every bite. On the bright side, the service was excellent! Our server was super friendly, and we didn't wait long. It was bright, clean, and had plenty of room. Overall, it wasn't for us, but I know others seem to enjoy it. But also, my standards might be a bit high since my husband makes some mean BBQ at home, lol.

Yelp
My wife was craving some "meat" for lunch today so we went over with our son. We have lived in Rocklin for 12 years and ate there years ago and again about 5 years ago for a graduation dinner for our daughter's BF. Full disclosure: I grew up in Texas and in my two visits to Lucille's, frankly, I did not enjoy it. So, when my wife said Lucille's today I tried to deflect away from it, but she accused me of being BBQ snob. So, I decided to roll with it and go with an open mind. We all ordered the 2 meat combo with 2 sides. I got brisket, and red hot sausage, garlic mash and braised greens. I figured they dont make their own hot links so it would be hard to mess those up. The brisket was the saddest looking, worst-tasting brisket I've ever had. It was sliced thin, very dry, room-temperature, fatty, no smoke ring of any kind so I'm certain it's not cooked on a pit anywhere. The greens were not served hot, they were tough, (which means they weren't cooked long enough), they were dry and no juice in them, and they were salty. I tasted my wife's mac and cheese and BBQ baked beans. The mac and cheese wasn't too bad but not great. The baked beans were rather meh. The only reason this is a 2-star review and not a 1-star as those biscuits with apple butter are screaming good. It was actually the only item that was served hot. I might go to Lucille's just to order biscuits. Honestly, it amazes me that Lucille's is still in business. I can only assume it's because most locals haven't experienced quality BBQ. It will be last time going to this business masquerading as a BBQ joint.

Yelp
We came to Lucille's Smoke House Bar-B-Que for my mom's birthday. Lucille's is special to her because my dad used to bring her here to have her favorite half a chicken meal.... before he went to heaven. My handsome man and I arrived 45 minutes before everyone was set to meet to get into the waiting list since our group was 8 people. It was like walking into a giant barn. There are Honkey-tonk vibes throughout the restaurant. From good country music to those blue jeans and plaid air servers, Lucille's shows us what BBQ is all about! We were given those sugary biscuits with sides of their apple butter. It didn't taste the same (as good), but it was still a good sweet and savory. We all ordered drinks and food. There were ribs, sandwiches, fried chicken, gumbo, a salad, and a healthy options steak bowl. It all tasted so delicious. There were lots of Mmm's and finger living llickin! Our little baby ate off our plates. He's still too little for a kid menu. Our server was fantastic! She sang happy birthday along with us to my mom. We had a wonderful time celebrating my mom's birthday with Lucille's. They made her special day feel like it was still worth celebrating... Thank you, Lucille's!

Yelp
Lucille's never misses, and today was no exception. I stopped in for a meal and left happy and full, exactly what you want from a BBQ spot. The Food: I started with the fried pickles, and wow--they were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy at all. The dipping sauce just took them to the next level. Then came the main event: fried chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies. The chicken was golden, crispy on the outside, and tender inside, seasoned just right. The mashed potatoes? Creamy and buttery with that perfect homestyle comfort. Even the veggies were well-cooked, still with a bit of bite, not mushy like you get at some places. Everything came together like a Southern comfort dream. Service: The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick. Drinks were refilled without me having to ask, and my server made sure everything was spot on. Ambiance: Warm, casual, and inviting. It's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed meal, whether you're solo, with family, or catching up with friends. The smell of BBQ in the air just makes you hungrier in the best way. Lucille's knows what they're doing when it comes to fried food and comfort classics. I'll definitely be back, probably for more fried pickles and that perfect fried chicken. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out.

Yelp
This was such a fun place! I've heard about the one in SoCal but not been... super excited to finally go! Our server was a hoot! Super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! She gets 5 stars just for being her! I ordered the fried green tomatoes, oh my gosh those were delicious! Not overly fried, the seasonings were delicious! I did the 3 meat combo, the two different ribs and the brisket with mashed potatoes.. The brisket was ok, not my favorite but the fall off the bone ribs! Sooo good! I think the St. Louis ribs were the fall off the bone ribs and they were tasty! The baby back were good but when we to go again it would be St. Louis for sure! PS full size drinks! Yes please! An ice tea in a large mason jar and it was flavorful. We went kinda early in the afternoon so it wasn't too packed.. everything was clean which I appreciate! And the bathrooms were clean too lol... maybe too much info but when you're bringing a little munchkin into the bathroom you want to know its clean! lol

Yelp
For $100 for a dinner for two I'd expect better quality of food. Service A+ just to get that out of the way. Beef ribs-almost inedible. Charred and very little flavor or sauce. Chewy. The ribs should be crisp yet tender. Garlic mashed potatoes? Definitely bland and lacking garlic. Mac n Cheese, tasted like Kraft. Hot honey salmon was good but a deck of playing cards sized portion? Laughable. $100 next time I'll buy four racks of ribs, smoker pellets, sauce, noodles, cheese, garlic, butter, sack of potatoes, a filet of salmon and still have $50 left over.

Yelp
We went to dine in for a tasting as we were considering this place for our wedding catering, and had a mixed experience. The biscuit was definitely a standout--super fluffy and full of flavor, with the butter complementing it perfectly. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese was a letdown, tasting like a microwaveable dish. The potato salad was solid, a bit tastier than store-bought but nothing extraordinary. The Alabama smoked chicken was one of the highlights. We requested the sauce on the side, and the chicken itself was juicy, smoky, with crispy skin--definitely one of the better items we tried. The brisket, however, didn't do much for us--it was a bit dry, lacked flavor, and was tough with thin slices. The baby back ribs were decent, not overly smothered in BBQ sauce but nicely caramelized with a good balance of flavor. We did find a hair in one of the dishes, but the server quickly addressed the issue, and the service overall was attentive. The food was served barely warm, which didn't help the overall experience.

Yelp
We have enjoyed this particular establishment for many years. It is typically out of our way during our travels but it is worth the detour for a belly full of good bbq.

Yelp
Went to dinner this evening at Lucille's. Got in quickly despite it being a Friday evening around 6:00. We were seated in Christian's section & he did not disappoint us! Quick with drink refills, checked on us a couple of times, brought extra biscuits & was just all around a great server! Food was delicious - hot, fresh & prepared to our preferences! All in all a great dining experience!

Yelp
We started off with the onion straws. They were crispy and great for sharing. We also got biscuits with apple butter. I usually don't do bread, but they were nice and warm. I shared the "Build Your Own BBQ Combo" with my bf. We got the baby back ribs, beef brisket, and jalapeño cheddar sausage. I liked the ribs the most (tender) and the brisket least (dry). It came with two sides of your choice. We had the sautéed vegetables and fried okra (premium side). At the end of the meal, the waitress bought out chocolate cake for the three people in our party that were celebrating their birthdays. It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a candle. I'm not sure if it's on the house or not.

Yelp
Average review of 2 visits. First was a five and second was a 3. I have dined here twice in the last couple of weeks. Two weeks ago we had a party of 9. The service was excellent. Drinks were quickly replenished. We ordered a wide variety of dishes and everyone was happy. Three of us went back last night and found service to be lacking. It was so cold that I could not enjoy the meal. I borrowed a jacket and still got chilled. One of our group was freezing in his leather jacket. I was disappointed in the food. We ordered the devilled eggs for an appetizer. These were not creamy at all and overwhelming tasted like red peppers. None of us like them. The biscuits were cold. Worst of all was the Three Little Pigs. It's bacon, ham & pulled pork over Mac & cheese. It was swimming in grease. Drink refills were non-existent.

Yelp
Service was wonderful. We had an enthusiastic and sweet waiter. This was the ONLY good thing about this restaurant The worst flavorless ribs I've ever eaten: no rub or seasoning was used. Even with adding copious amounts of three types of barbecue sauce, these were the most tasteless ribs I've ever eaten!! The Cole slaw needed seasoning as well, these biscuit had no taste. I would have enjoyed eating the napkin more. If you want great barbecue , go somewhere else.

Yelp
I visited Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que on Wednesday, 4/24/24, around 8 PM for dinner. Coincidentally, I came in on 'Whiskey Wednesday.' I decided to order the following: *Cracked Out Deviled Eggs *BBQ Three Meat Combo: 1/2 St. Louis Ribs, Texas-Style Brisket, and Pulled Pork with Macaroni & Cheese and Picnic Potato Salad *Complimentary biscuits with Apple Butter *Whiskey Smash Cocktail with a side-chaser of Maker's Mark The deviled eggs were good. I liked the crunchy texture. The biscuits with Apple Butter were tasty. The BBQ combo was great and filling. Even though I enjoyed all of the meats, the Brisket was my top favorite. The sides of Macaroni & Cheese and Potatoes were both on point. Finally, the cocktail was interestingly decent. It had hints of mint that was surprisingly tolerable to consume. My server for the night was Elizabeth. I loved her friendly and attentive service. Elizabeth's great hospitality enhanced my dining experience. Lucille's serves great food and has pleasant staff members. On the menu, the price point is a bit steep for some dishes (For example: BBQ Three Meat Combo with two sides is $43.99). Overall, I would return here whenever I am in the area.

Yelp
Yesterday was Mardi Gras, and I was craving some Creole/Cajun food to celebrate. Having lived in New Orleans, I can be a bit picky about the quality of the food and typically make my own. Having limited time to cook, I decided to scour the area for possible delivery options. There are very few places that make that particular cuisine. Just put in the word 'Jambalaya' on a Google map, and the possibilities are rather paltry and scary. I did find one place with Jambalaya for $40.! No way, and the photo of it was not appealing at all. Lucille's seemed to have the best options, and having driven by it dozens of times, I figured I'd give it a try. Plus the prices were reasonable. Ordering online was easy, and I selected the gumbo, Jambalaya, under the Specialty Menu and fried okra from the sides. Delivery was efficient and on time to the time they allocated, and the food was well packaged and warm. It came in a large shopping bag. The gumbo came with a separate container of rice, seasoned lighty on the top. The gumbo was excellent and had a kick of spiciness with good ingredients and very flavorful. It was thick and rich as a gumbo should be made. The only criticism is they should remove the bay leaves before serving it as it gets annoying to eat around it or attempting to pull it out, plus it could use some crab meat. I didn't detect any. Also, be careful of small bones on the chicken chunks. I had a couple. The Jambalaya was equally excellent and very flavorful and authentic to many of the recipes I make myself. Jambalaya is quite versatile as there are thousands of recipes. The worst are watery, bland, and sometimes stringy from okra that's overcooked. This did not fall into that category at all, and all the ingredients and preparation were spot on. I like a bit of spicy, which it didn't have, even with the sausage, but I always keep many bottles of Tabasco handy, so all was good! Oh, be careful as there were some small bones in it too. The fried okra was also very good with a delicious side sauce for dipping. OK, Lucille's came through, and I was quite satisfied. It was a good Mardi Gras, after all! The only regret was I got so excited that I forgot to eat the biscuit that came with it!

Yelp
Worst BBQ I have ever had. It's literally TV dinner BBQ quality. I don't even think that they smoke their own stuff on site. The brisket was so grey looking that it died three times. The tri tip was so discolored that I'm confused on what it was. The best thing about this place was the wedge salad, sadly....since this is supposed to be a smokehouse. To top it off, the server disappeared on us. Oh well, never coming back.

Yelp
I ordered the dinner for two and it was just okay. The meal comes with an appetizer, two sides, 3 meats, biscuits, and dessert. The biscuits were raw in the middle and I asked the staff to take a look. Staff did replace my biscuits and the second set was good. The meats were tasty! I had the ribs, brisket, and tri-tip. The sides were okay. The banana pudding was very sweet. It's a good deal but I do think there are better places.

Yelp
We came here with a big group and the staff was really accommodating. The decor was cute as well. What lacked was every single thing we ordered except maybe the pickles was extremely sweet. I must have missed it in the menu but the jalapeño burger was drenched in what seemed like maple syrup. The mashed potatoes, veggies, pork, etc. was really sweet. The drinks came in cute various cups and were fairly good tasting. I was just disappointed with the taste of the food vs the price. I enjoyed the fried pickles but they kept falling apart :/ the Cole slaw didn't seem super fresh. They provided warm towels to wipe our hands after the meal, which was great!

Yelp
I love me some bbq! Whenever I'm in the Roseville area I always think about coming to Lucille's to get my bbq fix. I alway get the two meet combo! I alternate between the brisket, baby back ribs, and the Alabama chicken. You're probably thinking chicken?! Don't knock the Alabama chicken till you've tried it. This is some of the juiciest chicken I've ever had. I stabbed the chicken with my fork and when I took the fork out the juices were oozing out of the chicken. The brisket is always a banger, so fatty and full of beefy flavor. The baby back ribs are just a classic. I love a sweet saucy rib!

Yelp
Our visit started out rocky. We had a reservation for a booth and checked in early. Our time came and went and we did not get seated. We saw people who had reservations after us get seated in a booth. We checked with the desk and apparently we had not been checked in correctly. We were obviously a bit perturbed but they said they would expedite our seating. We were shortly seated in a quiet booth area and Corrinne, the manager, took amazing care of us. She not only fixed the issue she went above and beyond. She was so kind. We had a lovely dinner and it turned into a great dining experience. And of course the food was delicious! Thank you so much Corrinne!!!

Yelp
Due to my previous review a staff member reached out and urged me to give Lucille's another try, which I agreed to this time I picked up the food instead of having it delivered and everything that I ordered was delicious.

Yelp
Our family went here for the first time today. We all ordered something different and a few appetizers, we shared everything and we all raved about

Yelp
This was our first time coming and we had a great experience! I like that it was a large open space which was an ideal spot to celebrate a birthday in our group. We had several kids who aren't crazy loud but also not quite. It was nice that a little noise was okay. Our group ordered a variety off the menu and there were no complaints. The biscuits were warm and were a great treat before the meal. Sprinkled with sugar and add in the apple butter, they were like a dessert. My husband and I ordered the build your own bbq combo and the Smokey Joe. It was great to get a variety from the combo - we tried the baby back ribs, jalapeño cheddar sausage, Mac and cheese, and fries. Everything was hot and tasted great - the sausage in particular had great flavor. We would probably skip the Mac and cheese and try a different side next time. The Smokey Joe was full of flavor and was deemed the favorite. The server was friendly and helpful and the food came out quick even with us having a larger group. We'll be back to try more soon!

Yelp
Food was surprisingly really good! Our server was very kind, charming, and patient while we decided on what we wanted. I liked the vibe in there because it felt welcoming. Highlights: Devil Eggs! Fried Pickles! And you HAVE to try any of the lemonades!!!!

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at Lucille's! Maddy L. was our server and she was amazing! She was super friendly, chatted with us, and honestly made our time there super fun! The food itself was great! Especially the fried pickles appetizer! Would recommend if you're looking for a southern BBQ restaurant.

Yelp
Came here with a large party for the first time. We ended up ordering two super feasts which fed about 35 people. They initially only brought out two large salads though we were split onto 4 tables. Then they were smart and split up the meat onto four platters and split up the sides we ordered on each table so each table got something. In the future, they should split up all the food so there's at least two large servings for each end of the table or in our case, for each table. They also brought the food out in waves so one table got their serving of sides 20 min after they brought out the meat. They mixed up the platters so our side of the tables got pulled pork when we were supposed to get tri tip. Eventually though they did bring out some extra tri tip to fix their mistake. Overall, the food was good and it came to about $25 pp including tip. The servers seemed really overwhelmed with our group and did not come around much to offer refills, etc but it was decent for a chain restaurant

Yelp
Wonderful service from Maddy tonight! Wonderful food and we are stuffed! I really liked the easy waitlist process on the website before driving over to the restaurant. We have a great time every time we come here! Been coming here since it opened years ago!!!

Yelp
Went to Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que on Saturday before Mother's Day, picked up gift cards from Costco. It had been at least a year since last visit, of course menu changes over time, we were in the Lounge not in main dining room the menu was limited and it was late afternoon. We decided to order the fried onion appetizer half order it was huge, next was entrees, ordered the half smoked bar-b-que chicken with coleslaw which was good and seasonal vegetables, don't know how you can mess up seasonal vegetables but they did over seasoned with salt, carrots under cooked, the chicken was fall off the bone and delicious. Next order was Tri-Tip Sandwich, meat was fatty at least 50%. Finally Smokey Joe's was very good. Service was very good, staff follow up checking on us frequently.

Yelp
Ok, for starters, there appeared to be some type of friction between the ladies at the front counter- one young lady, who appeared to be new and was taking orders, was very pleasant, but I could tell she wasn't as fluent on the register as the other two girls who were at the front because she kept asking for assistance from the other girls to ring my order. As she went on fumbling on the register, the other two girls would hover/stand off at the other end of the booth, in the corner to talk and gossip with each other) while she was over there struggling at the register. One of the other girls was nice, but that one with the nose ring, well in my opinion, should not be working the front counter - she is not a people. I FINALLY get the order in and we're sitting there no less than 6 feet away from the counter, waiting for the other, and it wasn't like the girls who assisted with taking the order didn't see me sitting there. WHY, did my order sit on the counter and no one called up - it wasn't until, several people were called ahead of me, and one of the young ladies said to the other girl, "Oh no, that order is for, "XXXXXXX", which was me, I overheard her say my name, so I stood up and walked up to counter and sure enough, I saw my name on a big box. Ok, great, there's one person in front of me, as soon as they are done putting their order in, I'll be called next, and i'll point to my box on the counter and it would be handed to me and I'd be on my way. Quite the opposite happened - a food delivery person who clearly arrived after me was served next, and I'm like, "my food is steadily getting cold, I'm never going to get out of here." I'd placed the order 30 minus prior. I'm next! But wait a minute, YET another delay - the girl (with the nose ring) at the front is now double-checking the order, going through everything. She's checking the items against the receipt, putting a check mark by each item she pulled out of the bag, so my assumption (which is my fault, I should have checked the bag) as it turns out, when I went home and went through the bag I did not receive all my order the appetizer that should have come with the meal was left off...I believe it was the onion strings. I noted that the family meal order that I also purchased, some of those food items were mixed in my bag (2 person bbq meal). Theses were clearly two separate orders, going to two separate homes, not sure why and how it was all mixed up in one bag, and not put in different bags. Let's talk about the quality of the food; for what I spent, nearly $300. It was the worst bbq I'd ever eaten, mainly the brisket (dry, tough, and flavorless - inedible) - That apple cobbler was an absolute let down (it was literally, like an overly-sweet muffin sitting on top a bed of spiced apples). Didn't try the ribs - but I did taste the rib tips, and honestly, it didn't taste fresh. The overall experience was VERY disappointing.

Yelp
Got a gift card from one of my friends and thought about trying Lucille's bbq and got the combo of baby back ribs and brisket with side of veggies and we all had the same comment- food was so disgusting! Both meats were so salty that we ended up not eating it! What a waste!! Even the vegetables- mashed potato (tasted blah!) and cauliflower ( overcooked) didn't taste good either! we threw them all and bought different food from another restaurant! We've not been to Lucille's for a while as we didn't have great experience with their food and their service before. Bottom line, even if I'm given any food that's free from that restaurant, definitely will never eat from there again!! Never again!!! Not worth a single star!!

Yelp
We went to our daughter's favorite BBQ place after her performance that evening, something we were all looking forward to. But as we started eating, we noticed the meat was unusually dry and tough--very different from what we're used to. Then, to our shock, a dish arrived at our table still wrapped in a plastic bag. It looked like it had been reused or improperly handled. The whole experience made us feel uneasy, and we couldn't continue our meal. It was deeply disappointing, especially since this used to be one of our favorite spots.

Yelp
Lucille's had an amazing menu for the most part. I had a two meat platter with the brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage, BBQ beans, and coleslaw. Almost everything was amazing! However, their brisket leaves much to be desired. The menu purports to have "Texas style brisket," but it was anything but that. I was served lean-side brisket flat without any bark, and with the fat cap essentially removed. What little fat cap was left was plainly not rendered. With no bark or rendered fat cap, the brisket slices tasted dry and bland. Aside from that, however, the meal was great and the service was extraordinary. I definitely recommend this restaurant (just not the brisket)
