My hubby and I decided to give this place a try. And it was fantastic. There is plenty of regular and handicap parking. Out front there was a gentleman playing sort of bluesy type music. We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered. The building and decor are exceptionally cute . All the dishes in the photos I included were fantastic. They start you off with complimentary biscuits and apple butter My hubby had pulled pork, a jalepeno cheddar sausage and bar b que beans. I had a house salad , the drippin' buffalo chicken nuggets and Mac n cheese. I also had the watermelon iced tea ( which is a watermelon version of a Long Island iced tea ) Our waitress was very friendly and very helpful. At the end of the meal they bring you a warm damp face towel which felt so good. That was definitely a bonus. They also have a little machine on your table so you dont have to actually wait for your check. You can pay straight from your table. Other amenities are another room is like a sports bar. Just a couple of TVs but it was a big room . They also have a huge patio area but it is enclosed but with all windows. They have a nice waiting area if you ordered food and are waiting to pick up. They have a doggie patio also which I thought was realky nice. For all of these reasons I definitely give Lucilles Smokehouse Bar B Que 5 out of 5 stars. Mrs Smiley :)

The Real Deal is Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que delivers on outstanding bbq and amazing bbq style environment to dine. Let’s start off the service which I’ve been here a bunch most every time the servers are really friendly, amazing knowledge about the menu, and quick service. All smiles on the service. The atmosphere has some amazing old fashion vibe, old wall art that could take a day to look through it all, and many dining options. There is indoor and outdoor seating options. A full bar, booths, tables and different styles of dining like a patio seating but inside or other backyard style patio outdoors. I will take more pictures next of the inside and out and update you. Now onto the Grand Event: the Food!! BBQ is amazing but some of it can be hit and miss and you need to factor smoking process which takes a long time so some meats are freshly done and amazing and others maybe coming from the warmer. I will update with a ton of pictures over my next several visits. Definitely one of best bbq places around. Must try and must have!! Cheers!!!

we've been to lucille's a few times now, and it's such a great place for big parties and special moment celebrations! for starters, we were a party of 4, and had a reservation. let's breakdown our dining experience: SEATING lots of seating, even in the bar. if you don't have a reservation, and the wait is long -- consider sitting in the bar! lots of open tables and the bar staff were great! FOOD the folks that got bbq in my group LOVED their food. the brisket was fantastic, chicken wasn't dry, and their sides were amazing. i should've known, coming to a bbq place, that getting grilled salmon was probably not going to be the move and should've stuck with my gut! it was a little fishy, overcooked, and needed more flavor (the sauce was on the bottom of the fish for some reason?). the street corn was also a major let down. it said it had cilantro lime butter on it but mine tasted like corn on the cob with cotija sprinkled on it. it kinda stinks when you have to add your own salt and pepper to food that should ordinarily be flavorful :( also a major bummer that you're paying extra for a "premium" side *womp womp*. however, the biscuits and apple butter served with the meal are AMAZING. there’s a little crystallized sugar on the top, and it pairs so perfectly with the biscuit.. dreaming of those as i type this out. SERVICE Todd was our server, and took great care of us despite being busy with his other tables! the staff were all so friendly from the hostess to the bussers. a great team overall! ATMOSPHERE it is really so cool inside. the decode is so great and eclectic. it's always packed and busy. the music is great, and it really is such a great place for people of all ages; parties big and small! lucille's does a great job creating such a great space for people to enjoy! PARKING tonnnns of parking in the lot in front of the restaurant and a secondary lot adjacent. we were grateful to park far away for how full our bellies were after our meal! overall, will be back -- hoping for a little more flavor to my meal next time :)

Google
Just tried for the first time. My husband and I went on a date and this place was great! Liz our server was amazing! All her recommendations were spot on. My favorite was the jalapeño cheddar sausages, the burn ends and desert of course! Left over will be great. Will definitely be back!

Google
Just celebrated my 40th birthday there with 4 of my best buds and I got to say, Lucille's was the best choice for food. And the cherry on top was the service, great big shout out to Taylor! You made our experience there next level. You were such a fantastic waitress! You gave great advice on the menu, answered all our questions, accommodated our requests and were just so much fun! We left there laughing and stuffed with food to spare to take home!

Google
We ordered the briskett nachos and when it arrived there was no meat. We had to speak to manager to show the dish was not even close to image in menu and move the chips around to show there the very small amount to no meat. The manager provided extra meat, but food was now cold.

Google
Every time I come here the place is busy so I truly must say something. The wait time was exactly what they indicated to me. Spent a little time in the bar so the time was well spent. The wide variety of menu choices made it easy or perhaps more difficult to choose what to get but we got the standard ribs macaroni and cheese and other items.. but celebrating my birthday here was a different treat, especially when you getting older and you don't need people singing to you it was a little embarrassing but I love the free dessert..

Google
THE BEST. Had great dinner here with the family. Biggest letdown was we came all the way from Holland and after 13years I finally wanted to but a new Lucille’s shirt. Turns out there wasn’t any stock🥲

Yelp
I have lived in this area for 7+ years and I am now upset that I have spent those years in complete ignorance of the spectacular experience that is Lucille's. The food was superb, from the wonder of apple butter that is just the right texture to portion out with a knife to spread over their perfectly fluffy yet crispy on the outside biscuits that immediately melts into the breading as if it was always meant to be there, to the pork belly burnt ends that will immediately take you to heaven with the perfect flavor profile and consistency, just melty enough to immediately bless you with flavor yet firm enough to be able to savor that bite for as long as you possibly can. The food is a bucket list worthy experience. Their garlic fried okra was perfectly cooked with the garlic being just present enough to be completely flavorful without overpowering the experience, while the okra itself was brilliantly breaded, with a sumptuous inside and none of the normal granular taste that other okra can bring from the skin. Finally the desert rounded off the spectacular experience I had, the chocolate cake I had was the best dessert I've had in all my 35 years, and I hate cake, chocolate cake most of all. Yet, this cake was perfectly fluffy, chocolatey (but not overbearingly so as so many chocolate cakes tend to be), and sweet with the vanilla ice cream perfectly complementing it in every way. The ambiance of the restaurant absolutely hearkens to the idea of "southern comfort" with a rustic interior design that immediately calls to fine workmanship. The true peak of this experience however, was the service. The front desk staff was wonderfully helpful, timely, and friendly in every way. Our server Maddy was an absolute gem. Going above and beyond to answer any questions we had in an incredibly informative style. When I posed a question to her regarding her recommendations between the watermelon iced tea libation or the strawberry lemonade, her description of both was perfect and led to the right decision for me of the strawberry lemonade, even if her personal choice was watermelon. Her knowledge of the regular teas was perfect and consideration for flavor profiles and desires was spot on. Above all else her warmth and friendly demeanor was spectacular, fitting perfectly with the idea of southern hospitality that Lucille's represents. She didn't just "serve" us, she made our night an experience we won't soon forget, and we will absolutely seek again in the future.

Yelp
An overall 4 stars, factoring in the food, customer service and ambiance. Foodyou choose to dine-in, Lucille's has a nice southern charm and seating that can accommodate a large group. Oh and they have fried green tomatoes! Idgie Threadgoode would be proud. Enjoyed the links & brisket two way combo. Links had a nice char and the brisket was cooked perfectly. Plenty of options for sides and I chose to go carb heavy w/ potato salad and mac & cheese. Would definitely recommend getting a two way, if you're having g trouble deciding. You also have the option of jazzing up your macaroni & cheese w/ toppings like bacon, brisket, onions etc. I went w/ bacon because bacon makes everything g taste yummy. Then of course closing out the meal w/ a delicious batch of fried green tomatoes. Their batter was nice and crisp and the perfect blend of sweet & savory. Some people may want their fired green tomatoes as an appetizer but I'd recommend it as the perfect way to end the meal:)

Yelp
We came here after a courthouse wedding we had a reservation. It was a big party, and it turned out to be really nice. We got there early and they were able to get us seated early. Our server Jenny was super nice and very helpful throughout the evening. They were able to store a cake for us we dropped off beforehand. I think their food can be hit or miss a lot of people enjoyed their food. Lucille's is one of my favorite places for a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The key is to ask for buffalo sauce. It's a real juicy piece of meat. Nice cut with a good crunch. Some items I wouldn't recommend is the kids fried chicken, and their bowls. We thought the kid was just being picky, but we tried it, and it was not edible. My family enjoyed the ribs and the shredded chicken nachos.

Yelp
They keep adding new and fun items to the menu, great flavors and a nice laid back atmosphere like this afternoon as we sit on the porch, enjoying the blues and drinking sweet tea. The pork belly burnt ends appetizer and gumbo for lunch made a great meal, we also did a two-meat with brisket and ribs, done very very well

Eatalot F.

Yelp
Quality has gone down. Ribs and chicken did not taste fresh, they used bbq sauce to cover the toughness of the meat. Might be leftovers from the prior day, refrigerated and reheated. We noticed the portion size is smaller (4 small ribs) as well.

Yelp
We met a large group for a get together and I was so impressed with the service! The 2 girls serving us were so fast, courteous & patient for our large group - it was so loud, and about 50 people but the took orders, served the food fast and fresh and kept the drinks flowing!! The food was so delicious and came out perfect!! We got the 3 course shareable for 2 with appetizer of grid pickles - so good! Yummy ranch!! Then we got pulled pork & chicken - & tri tip - it was all so tender and the bbq sauce was delicious- we also got Mac & cheese and beans as our side - we cleared tray - then banana pudding for dessert!! well done Lucilles!

Yelp
While a large chain, Lucille's is well done in theme and quality food. Always have had good service with friendly faces. Menu has variety, even for non meat eaters. Great desserts - I like the mud pie one. Burnt ends, ribs, roast meats all good. I've been here with family, for small groups and large. They cater and do a nice job with takeout too. Plenty of parking. Large outside covered patio.

Yelp
While visiting Roseville for work went here with a coworker. Nice well maintained place with a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Service was quick and waitress was attentive. Ordered the rib tips and baby back ribs. Got coleslaw and two sides of beans. The beans were really good. Ribs and rib tips also very tasty. Will be back

Yelp
10/18/25 Pro's: Service was excellent big food portions. Street Corn was $6.99 and NO FLAVOR Cons: Bun on pulled pork was burnt, had to wait a long time... Thinking they would remake, NOPE, now my fries & meat are cold and everyone at my table were just about done! Very very crowded, make reservations for dinner! Salad with Tri tip, good but served on metal try with paper... So my knife tore thru the paper, it was gross!

Yelp
7/6/2025 Came here for a quick lunch. The inside is super cute. Takes you back in time. Ashlyn was a nice host. She brought us to a booth after hearing our request. Our sever talyor is a gem. Has an open and friendly energy. My grandpa always makes these jokes and she manage to match that energy. Good luck on your nursing school journey Taylor. Like last time, we ordered the baby back ribs half rack and gumbo. This time we got strawberry lemonade ($6) and tried the peach lemonade as well. Great recommendation by Taylor. Both lemonade had strong fruit flavors. The peach was slightly more tart than the strawberry. Nothing can go wrong with a cold glass of lemonade paired with a rack of ribs. We mixed the peach and strawberry lemonade for a beautiful sunset lemonade ( pic). We split both the rack or ribs and the gumbo for two people and it was a lot and delicious. The portion size here are quite big. Every time I come to Sacramento area, I must get some Lucille's. It is now one of my Togo spots that I would recommend to friends.

Yelp
Tonight, I had dinner with family at Lucille's. I ordered the jambalaya. Right away, the smell was amazing. I took one bite and forgot to take a photo. Too good to wait. Spicy but not too hot, full of flavor, and the sausage and shrimp were cooked just right. At the table, we shared the burnt ends. They were tender, had crispy edges, and that smoky flavor was perfect. Everyone at the table loved them. Our server was wonderful. Gave helpful recommendations and checked in without interrupting too much. Friendly the whole time. Inside, the place felt cozy. I loved the warm lighting, the signs on the walls, and all the little details. It felt fun but still relaxed. I started digging in before taking photos, too excited to eat!

Yelp
(5/5) My first time coming here, and it felt so cozy -- almost like home! I couldn't tell if it's exactly Texas-style or not, but honestly, that's not the point. The food was absolutely amazing -- perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and every bite was delicious. The sauces were spot-on, and I especially enjoyed the lemonade, which was so refreshing. The dessert was also delicious and very rich -- the perfect way to finish the meal! The waitress was very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I actually came because my brother recommended this place, and I'm glad I did! Highly recommend you come and try it out too!

Yelp
Yessss FINALLY a local BBQ spot that satisfies our cravings for good'ol Baby Back Ribs!! Lets be clear, you can't compare ANY spot to Phil's BBQ at San Diego, but this certainly is one of the better spots for delicious ribs! Warm, family friendly ambience for various occasions that won't disappoint (also depends on your server). Prices are fair, service can use some help and speed up a bit (or perhaps just low staffed the day we went), parking is incredibly generous and spacious, wait time can be longer than expected thanks to the slow service... so then why 5 stars? Is it worth the wait? It's all about the ribs and if you're a foodie for good, soft, delicious, melts off the bone ribs - it's definitely worth the wait and patience! Our waitress was fun and incredible. She tended to us wonderfully despite overseeing so many tables. Kids got to ring the bell which was nice to experience! And dessert - oh wow, the ice cream serving was MUCH bigger that we anticipated. All in all, highly recommended for ribs' specialists. Come hungry and leave satisfyingly happy!!

Yelp
Saturday evening was pretty packed and we had to wait 30-40 minutes for our table. Our server, Taylor was nice and friendly. As always, I love the food. I got my usual order of full rack baby back ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place as I was told it had great BBQ. I was extremely disappointed with the food. I ordered the "Texas style brisket". Texas style brisket to anyone who knows BBQ is a brisket smoked on a low temperature over a long period of time until tender. The slices of brisket I received were chewy, bone dry, flavorless, had no smoke ring and the fat was whiter than I am rather than yellow, further showing it wasnt even smoked but thrown in an oven at a high temperature for a short amount of time. This brisket was exactly what a Texan would joke and meme about a California cooked brisket. I've included a pic. It was expensive too. The spicy BBQ sauce wasnt even spicy either even for me! I would know because I had to use half the bottle on those tiny pieces of rubbery meat. The service was very friendly and the drinks were good so that is the only reason I'm giving a two star rather than one. If you want good BBQ look anywhere but here.

Yelp
Hello Yelpies With so many BBQ places out there today it seems like you will never find the true original.... Look no further than Lucilles. The drinks are great and the food comes out fast and hot. So needless to say the service was exceptional and the flavors are unmatched. This is truly an amazing place to eat with family and friends. Get you some of this delicious bbq

Yelp
Disappointed considering how many great things I've heard about this place. Long wait for the food to come. Tables that sat and ordered after ours were all eating before we were. Food was lukewarm and portion size was decent, but not great. Probably worth giving it another shot, but for a first visit I was not exactly blown away.
google avatar

Kenn Steed M.

Yelp
Food was perfect, service was awesome and the ambiance cozy. The only issue is even though there was eleven open tables, lucille's has a two hour policy which I completely understand but holiday dinners with family are about catching up and the manager coming to our table and asking my family and I to leave (after a $175 meal) because we had been there almost two hours was a bit sad. So back to mimi's cafe for holiday dinners but again food, service and ambience was comforting which makes one want to stay longer

Yelp
5-star service! Makaelynn, takeout host, was extremely helpful, incredibly nice, and very attentive, and Erik, manager, made sure my request was fully accommodated when I placed an order for pickup. Excellent service all around.

Yelp
This was our second visit to Lucille's. We were excited to try it again. It was nice to be welcomed in by the friendly hostess. The atmosphere was also welcoming with southern paraphernalia. Our waitress Maddy stole the show with her attentiveness and personality. We tried the brisket and were very delighted with its texture including the pink smoke ring and cross cut. Great job! We ordered ribs and more ribs. They were very delicious, juicy and tender with a nice crust. I recommend the spicy BBQ sauce. The Mac and cheese and beans were our favorite sides. Thanks Lindsay for the invite. I will definitely be back again and again.

Yelp
I have not had Lucille's in months since the last three times I visited were such complete poor quality fiascoes. From our experience today, I am guessing that corporate FINALLY came in and thankfully reset the cooking to original quality. Bravo new head chef! Food quality and customer service had been continuously slipping for years. We ordered Lucille's BBQ today via DoorDash. The Dasher was on time and left all requested items at the door. Nothing seemed eaten or tampered with. However, Lucille's could definitely use some tamperproof seals on their bags, containers, and drinks like other restaurants. The original lemonade was good. Unfortunately there was no option to order it without ice to get my money's worth on the lemonade. The drink size has definitely sadly shrunk, and was maybe a medium drink. Not too much ice thankfully. The correct number of included biscuits was provided. A good amount of apple butter was provided with our order of extra biscuits. About 90% of the biscuits were properly cooked golden brown on the outside and completely cooked on the inside. The biscuits were not too hard or soft and properly made. This is a great improvement over my previous Lucille's biscuit experiences. The mac & cheese was nice and thick as I have seen it, sort of medium thick. There finally was a good amount of cheese throughout the mac & cheese, not just on top like many, many times before. The beef brisket sandwich finally had a full quantity of properly vertically sliced and properly portioned and cooked meat on it. This time, ALL of it was good edible meat, unlike previous experiences where there was a lot of connective tissue and fat. This is a HUGE improvement over my last three experiences. The meat was finally crisp on the ends and fully cooked and firm. Best BBQ job so far. One small container of mop sauce was provided, not quite enough to compensate for the proper dryness of the sandwich though. Unfortunately, NO extra BBQ sauces were selectable or provided. In my opinion at least two mop sauces and two regular BBQ sauce containers should be provided with each order for a better moist sandwich experience. The sandwich was the best I have had since this location opened over 15 years ago. Unfortunately, NO moist towelettes were provided. NO napkins were provided either! Definitely an overall improvement, but still some improvement needed. I am encouraged enough to try Lucille's again in few weeks via DoorDash. We will see if they stay consistent or go up and down like before.

Yelp
I loved the southern esthetic of the restaurant & the smell of barbecue that filled the place. I've heard a lot about Lucille's & finally had to try it. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 toddlers & when we showed up it was a full house and we waited about 45 minutes before being seated. Once we were seated our waitress Riley tended to us and she was super polite & her service was exceptional. As far as the food, the food came out in a timely manner and for the most part we enjoyed it. I ordered a rack of ribs with a side of French fries & sautéed vegetables & I paired it with the table side Lucille's bbq sauce (which tasted amazing) & the only thing I can say the ribs is I wished it was more tender but still satisfying. Overall the experience was a good one & will return for future bbq cravings.

Yelp
We had Maddy as our server! She came full of smiles and a great attitude! She brought us anything that we needed and even gave us some good laughs! Also, the food is absolutely amazing there I recommend the baby back ribs!

Yelp
We were looking for some BBQ and hadn't been to Lucille's in a while. They also have good Bourbon cocktails so headed over. We decided to sit at the bar which wasn't crowded for a Saturday although there was a large group in a room off to the side that was quite noisy. The bartender greeted us right away and asked if we wanted drinks and food. She handed us menus and checked out the drinks. We decided on the Kentucky Cooler which sounded refreshing. We ordered the Cracked out Deviled Eggs. We always love their biscuits with honey butter to start. The drink was very good and love the cucumber and rosemary in the drink. The deviled eggs were very tasty. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy sandwich with Potato Salad. I love a sandwich topped with a fried pickle. I love Shrimp Po Boy sandwiches and this was not my favorite. The bread was a big too chewy and the shrimp were over fried. Usually the bread is light and shrimp lightly coated. The fried pickle was good. The potato salad was great as always. We also saw a sign for Whiskey Wednesday which we will have to check out. The bartender always made sure we had everything we needed.

Yelp
Came in yesterday for an early birthday lunch with my family for my to youngest son and my self. I got the tri tip salad it was so good and the waitress even brought me extra dressing without even asking and with fresh biscuits and there butter that comes with it and an unsweetened iced tea. Our service was so good and the restaurant and the bathrooms were clean. I think this is the best service and food I have had here in a very long time. I will definitely be coming back if I get service like I got like yesterday. I come all the way from Citrus Heights so it's a drive to come up to this restaurant. I wish I would've taken pictures of my food but I was to busy talking to family. To our waitress we came in a little after 11am and there was 5 of us in our group thank you for giving me faith in this restaurant again after how badly the time before yesterday was. I will definitely becoming back with family and friends and I hope to have you as our waitress again, you made sure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed and more& made sure our family had a great time at the restaurant celebrating our 2 birthdays.

Yelp
I have had geographically authentic wood smoked BBQ meats for years. Placer County, as are most CA counties becoming cosmopolitan suburbs or major cities with bans on wood fired anything, it is harder to have competitive choices of wood fired BBQ pits and ovens to really compare. But Lucille's is the best around with often better seasoned sides than the generic other places serve. It also has very creative desserts that definitely other similar places do not serve. Service is always friendly and warm with a folksy but well operated ambience. My only disappointment from the last visit on 10/22/25 was the banana pudding which had more whip cream than actual banana tasting pudding with almost undetectable bits of real banana. However they do feature different desserts and even introduce new creations. However for us deep fried crusted green tomatoes, their presentation is not found at any other BBQ places I've eaten even in other towns and counties.

Yelp
The place was nice and had a cool decor. It smelled awesome when we walked in like legit smoke house. The staff was very friendly. The food sucked tho. Like I would compare the ribs to like chilies quality or less. Was hard and slathered to crap to cover up how many times it had been reheated probably. The brisket was tender but no flavor at all. No smoke ring, nothing. That was probably just cooked in an oven with no rub or anything. The sides were just ok. Just on par with like Chilies or less I would say. If you want good BBQ go to somewhere like Urban Roots in Sac or somewhere else that actually smokes the meat. Aye ya. Had high hopes but would probably not go back with all the options around the area.

Yelp
3 of us just had dinner at Lucille's. We asked our server, Taylor about some of the menu items. She was friendly and helpful. Her recommendations were spot on. The restaurant was busy so I'm glad we made reservations.

Yelp
Went for Thanksgiving 2025, made reservations and had a great experience. This place was SUPER packed on TG night. They seated us quickly and took our order fast. We got the TG special with one drink each. Food and drinks came out FAST and everything tasted great, fantastic quality. Highly recommend this place, great food and service.

Yelp
We were so sad when the Lucille's in Concord closed so we had to stop here for some take out on our way through the area. First off, they have a lovely covered patio that is dog friendly, so bonus points for that! We ended up taking the food home to eat because we had our dog with us so we ordered ahead for takeout, not knowing. The food was well packaged and I love that they give you wet naps too! We are going to get a huge serving of ribs next time now that we know that!. We ordered fried green tomatoes, loaded comeback fries, pork belly and a burger with cole slaw. The food here is tasty and has a good amount of flavor. I remembered to remove the jalapenos from the fries but did not know they put them on the tomatoes too so I had to pick those ones off. The tomato slices were a little thick, so the bitterness was slightly overpowering and they need a lot more sauce in their slaw. It was dry and bland so that was a little disappointing but everything else was very tasty and we are already planning our next visit!

FOOD the folks that got bbq in my group LOVED their food. the brisket was fantastic, chicken wasn't dry, and their sides were amazing. i should've known, coming to a bbq place, that getting grilled salmon was probably not going to be the move and should've stuck with my gut! it was a little fishy, overcooked, and needed more flavor (the sauce was on the bottom of the fish for some reason?). the street corn was also a major let down. it said it had cilantro lime butter on it but mine tasted like corn on the cob with cotija sprinkled on it. it kinda stinks when you have to add your own salt and pepper to food that should ordinarily be flavorful :( also a major bummer that you're paying extra for a "premium" side *womp womp*. however, the biscuits and apple butter served with the meal are AMAZING. there's a little crystallized sugar on the top, and it pairs so perfectly with the biscuit.. dreaming of those as i type this out.

Yelp
I'd heard great things about Lucille's, so my husband and I decided to try it out. Sadly, I was disappointed. The "Cracked Out" Deviled Eggs tasted like they'd been in the fridge, and the mac 'n' cheese seemed store-bought. We tried the tri-tip, brisket, and pork belly burnt ends. Only the burnt ends were good, while the tri-tip and brisket were dry and needed BBQ sauce with every bite. On the bright side, the service was excellent! Our server was super friendly, and we didn't wait long. It was bright, clean, and had plenty of room. Overall, it wasn't for us, but I know others seem to enjoy it. But also, my standards might be a bit high since my husband makes some mean BBQ at home, lol.

Yelp
Lucille's never misses, and today was no exception. I stopped in for a meal and left happy and full, exactly what you want from a BBQ spot. The Food: I started with the fried pickles, and wow--they were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy at all. The dipping sauce just took them to the next level. Then came the main event: fried chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies. The chicken was golden, crispy on the outside, and tender inside, seasoned just right. The mashed potatoes? Creamy and buttery with that perfect homestyle comfort. Even the veggies were well-cooked, still with a bit of bite, not mushy like you get at some places. Everything came together like a Southern comfort dream. Service: The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick. Drinks were refilled without me having to ask, and my server made sure everything was spot on. Ambiance: Warm, casual, and inviting. It's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed meal, whether you're solo, with family, or catching up with friends. The smell of BBQ in the air just makes you hungrier in the best way. Lucille's knows what they're doing when it comes to fried food and comfort classics. I'll definitely be back, probably for more fried pickles and that perfect fried chicken. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out.

Yelp
We came to Lucille's Smoke House Bar-B-Que for my mom's birthday. Lucille's is special to her because my dad used to bring her here to have her favorite half a chicken meal.... before he went to heaven. My handsome man and I arrived 45 minutes before everyone was set to meet to get into the waiting list since our group was 8 people. It was like walking into a giant barn. There are Honkey-tonk vibes throughout the restaurant. From good country music to those blue jeans and plaid air servers, Lucille's shows us what BBQ is all about! We were given those sugary biscuits with sides of their apple butter. It didn't taste the same (as good), but it was still a good sweet and savory. We all ordered drinks and food. There were ribs, sandwiches, fried chicken, gumbo, a salad, and a healthy options steak bowl. It all tasted so delicious. There were lots of Mmm's and finger living llickin! Our little baby ate off our plates. He's still too little for a kid menu. Our server was fantastic! She sang happy birthday along with us to my mom. We had a wonderful time celebrating my mom's birthday with Lucille's. They made her special day feel like it was still worth celebrating... Thank you, Lucille's!

Yelp
This was such a fun place! I've heard about the one in SoCal but not been... super excited to finally go! Our server was a hoot! Super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! She gets 5 stars just for being her! I ordered the fried green tomatoes, oh my gosh those were delicious! Not overly fried, the seasonings were delicious! I did the 3 meat combo, the two different ribs and the brisket with mashed potatoes.. The brisket was ok, not my favorite but the fall off the bone ribs! Sooo good! I think the St. Louis ribs were the fall off the bone ribs and they were tasty! The baby back were good but when we to go again it would be St. Louis for sure! PS full size drinks! Yes please! An ice tea in a large mason jar and it was flavorful. We went kinda early in the afternoon so it wasn't too packed.. everything was clean which I appreciate! And the bathrooms were clean too lol... maybe too much info but when you're bringing a little munchkin into the bathroom you want to know its clean! lol

Yelp
For $100 for a dinner for two I'd expect better quality of food. Service A+ just to get that out of the way. Beef ribs-almost inedible. Charred and very little flavor or sauce. Chewy. The ribs should be crisp yet tender. Garlic mashed potatoes? Definitely bland and lacking garlic. Mac n Cheese, tasted like Kraft. Hot honey salmon was good but a deck of playing cards sized portion? Laughable. $100 next time I'll buy four racks of ribs, smoker pellets, sauce, noodles, cheese, garlic, butter, sack of potatoes, a filet of salmon and still have $50 left over.

Yelp
The ambiance and service was ok. 8 of us for my sister's bday on Oct 24 2025. The food sucked! It was not hot. Brisket was awful. Burnt ends ok. My adult son threw up his dinner a couple hrs later.

Yelp
After a disappointing experience during my last couple of visits. I was encouraged to return. I took their suggestion to heart and waited a few months before giving the restaurant another try. I'm so glad I did. This time, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. It was a bustling Friday evening, yet the waitstaff remained gracious, warm, and incredibly attentive, never once letting the crowd affect their level of service. I ordered the gumbo, and from the first spoonful, I was transported straight back to New Orleans. The broth was luxuriously rich, deeply seasoned, and brimming with layers of flavor, smoky and spicy, with tender morsels of andouille sausage, plump shrimp, and soft, fragrant rice that soaked up every bit of the delicious stew. My guests had the chicken-fried steak and the baby back ribs. The steak had a crisp, golden-brown crust that gave way to a juicy and perfectly seasoned center. The ribs were tender, succulent, and fell clean off the bone. They were kissed with just the right amount of smokiness and finished with a glaze that was tangy, sweet, and not cloying. Best of all, nothing felt greasy or heavy. We shared a wedge salad, and it was elevated far beyond the ordinary. The iceberg lettuce was crisp and chilled, topped with crumbled blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, and crunchy bacon. But what truly set it apart was the delicate drizzle of honey (or perhaps a honey-infused vinaigrette), which added a subtle sweetness that beautifully balanced the richness. This experience was a complete turnaround from the last. I left full, happy, and thoroughly impressed. I will absolutely be back, and soon.

Yelp
We went to dine in for a tasting as we were considering this place for our wedding catering, and had a mixed experience. The biscuit was definitely a standout--super fluffy and full of flavor, with the butter complementing it perfectly. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese was a letdown, tasting like a microwaveable dish. The potato salad was solid, a bit tastier than store-bought but nothing extraordinary. The Alabama smoked chicken was one of the highlights. We requested the sauce on the side, and the chicken itself was juicy, smoky, with crispy skin--definitely one of the better items we tried. The brisket, however, didn't do much for us--it was a bit dry, lacked flavor, and was tough with thin slices. The baby back ribs were decent, not overly smothered in BBQ sauce but nicely caramelized with a good balance of flavor. We did find a hair in one of the dishes, but the server quickly addressed the issue, and the service overall was attentive. The food was served barely warm, which didn't help the overall experience.

Yelp
We have enjoyed this particular establishment for many years. It is typically out of our way during our travels but it is worth the detour for a belly full of good bbq.

Yelp
Great Place for Excellent BBQ, Service and Ambiance. First time at Lucille's. Went for lunch with a dozen friends and it was an outstanding experience. Our server, Christina, was great handling the group- very professional, attentive and a great personality. The menu has lots of choices including several combos and group/family orders. I ordered a half-rack of the St. Louis Ribs- cooked to perfection and the sauce was to die for- I've traveled a lot and it was some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Had the garlic potatoes and mac cheese- both good but I've had better; will try different sides next time. Ordered the classic Beignets for desert- outstanding and one order can easily feed 3-4 people. I had a soda to drink that was served in a 16 oz. mason jar- nice touch and the fountain drinks are unlimited refills. The restaurant layout is very nice. Inside is typical restaurant with Southern decor but we ate in the enclosed veranda which was great. The entire staff was great. I felt the prices were a bit on the high side but the menu has a number of items that are less expensive than my order and the combos look like a great deal. However, the food and service are worth it so I consider it a good value. Overall a great experience and I'll be back soon.

Yelp
Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que delivered on flavor, comfort, and service. We ordered a variety of meats and each one melted in our mouths, tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor. The biscuits with apple butter were light, fluffy, and packed with sweet, buttery goodness. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, and Lucille's signature onion straws were perfect for sharing and added a crispy touch to the meal. I ordered a seasonal old fashioned that didn't hit the mark for me, and the staff had no issue switching it out for a regular one served neat. That kind of service says a lot, they were smiling, helpful, and attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance was just right, not too loud and not too quiet, making it easy to enjoy the meal and conversation. There is plenty of parking available, and they also offer a dedicated to-go pick-up area which makes it easy for takeout if you're on the move. We'll definitely be back again. Follow me and friend me for more real reviews that help you choose the right spots for great food and great service.

Yelp
We started off with the onion straws. They were crispy and great for sharing. We also got biscuits with apple butter. I usually don't do bread, but they were nice and warm. I shared the "Build Your Own BBQ Combo" with my bf. We got the baby back ribs, beef brisket, and jalapeño cheddar sausage. I liked the ribs the most (tender) and the brisket least (dry). It came with two sides of your choice. We had the sautéed vegetables and fried okra (premium side). At the end of the meal, the waitress bought out chocolate cake for the three people in our party that were celebrating their birthdays. It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a candle. I'm not sure if it's on the house or not.

Yelp
My brother-in-law and I went for a nice BBQ lunch and were very disappointed in the food. I ordered the Smokehouse specialty of baby back ribs and they were dry, overdone, with very little meat. He had a pulled pork sandwich which was also overdone and dry. The restaurant is comfortable and can seat a lot of people and was not busy at all at peak lunchtime. I think maybe the poor food quality is getting around town and people are not going anymore.

Yelp
Average review of 2 visits. First was a five and second was a 3. I have dined here twice in the last couple of weeks. Two weeks ago we had a party of 9. The service was excellent. Drinks were quickly replenished. We ordered a wide variety of dishes and everyone was happy. Three of us went back last night and found service to be lacking. It was so cold that I could not enjoy the meal. I borrowed a jacket and still got chilled. One of our group was freezing in his leather jacket. I was disappointed in the food. We ordered the devilled eggs for an appetizer. These were not creamy at all and overwhelming tasted like red peppers. None of us like them. The biscuits were cold. Worst of all was the Three Little Pigs. It's bacon, ham & pulled pork over Mac & cheese. It was swimming in grease. Drink refills were non-existent.

Yelp
This barbecue restaurant in Rocklin met all operational parameters. Protein hydration remained stable, smoke penetration was consistent across samples, and seasoning application demonstrated uniform distribution. Customer interaction was functional and precise. Facility cleanliness aligned with baseline standards. A technically predictable meal.
