Lucky Boy - Review - Pasadena - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Lucky Boy is a walk-up burger spot that’s been open since 1961. And if you’ve ever needed a hangover-busting breakfast in Pasadena, this is the place that most people will point you toward. Their breakfast burrito (which is available all day) is little more than eggs, bacon, cheese, and potatoes, but what it lacks in originality, it makes up for in sheer girth. But although it's the size of a newborn, you end up eating mostly potatoes that are mushy rather than crispy. It's fine for filling up an empty stomach, but there are undoubtedly more flavorful breakfast burritos out there. photo credit: Jakob Layman" - Garrett Snyder

The 19 Best Breakfast Burritos in Los Angeles - Eater LA

"Ringed with potato and weighing in at several pounds (at least it feels that way), the Lucky Boy burrito is a thing of gigantic beauty. No wonder it’s consistently ranked as among the best in greater Los Angeles — and is known to be one heck of a hangover cure." - Farley Elliott

Great food at a reasonable price and great service. One of the only places in Pasadena that’s open late. I had their famous breakfast burrito. The portion size was huge! The burrito wasn’t super fancy, just your basic breakfast burrito with meat, potatoes, and egg. But it was done well! This is the second location, it is maintained very clean. Food tastes the same as the original arroyo location. Highly recommend.

The food is very Tasty and flavorful However the Customer Service is very Unfriendly, unwelcoming, Inhospitable, and Undesirable. Mainly in regards to this Lady who never even said "Hello" lol she just nodded oddly as tho to say "what do U want" haha so weird behavior. Never said "thank you" neither. Just rude. And I couldve even forgiven this easily if not for the Messy, sticky, overflowing, and sloppy way She gave me my drink. The whole cup was wet and drenched with juice. Not to mention the straw was also soaked. It was so gross. I dont understand how U guys can treat ur paying Customers this way. I was very nice to her. I mean Do you want to attract Clients or do U want to turn us of? Which is it? And mind you Im already a very friendly personality. I also wanted to ask for Pepperoncini but She was ignoring me so badly lol so Finally some elderly Gentleman was kind enough to Help me and asked" Did you need something" "Yes please I said may I have..." I was so touched by this gesture that I gave him 5 dollars as tip on the spot. Bottomline: if You guys can just be a little bit nice then you would get generosity and kindness right back. And it will make your business more fruitful. If not youre liable to fail. Kindly please put only kind people in the front as Cashiers who are grateful to be there, who are enthusiastic to serve, who are proud of their Job. Not someone whos unkind and mean spirited. Food is sacred you know. Have respect. Thank you so much. Regardless of this I appreciate you.

I came here for burritos and according to the high reviews was disappointing. I love burritos and have high expectations. I bought both the supreme breakfast burrito (~$18) and carne asada burrito (~$14). Although, they were great sizes, it almost seemed like it wasn’t what they said they’re serving. The supreme breakfast burrito didn’t have hash browns, but mashed potatoes and tasted as if it’s from a can or powder mixture. I’m 100% sure it’s one or the other. It wasn’t entirely disgusting, but when you’re expecting a nice crispy hash brown and get something of a potato purée, that’s truly disappointing and not appetizing at all. If you’re someone who doesn’t care about the taste of your food and prefer quantity over quality this burrito is for you. The carne asada burrito tasted closer to what you’d expect of a carne asada burrito, so I enjoyed that one a lot more. Biggest down side to both burritos is that they tasted/looked like they had ground beef instead of carne asada in them. The shop also only offered one type of sauce for the burritos, but I guess that’s expected. Service was quick and helpful. Their dining room and restrooms looked quite clean as well.

This place was absolutely delicious. I saved my leftover nachos. They still tasted great the next day. The restaurant seemed to have lots of history in itself and was a nice spot to sit down and munch for lunch. Zucchini fries were also delectable.

I know this place is really famous for their breakfast burritos, and I guess that is all they are known for because the burger, hot dog and fries are terrible. I do not know if they are trying to be healthy conscious, which makes no sense since they are a fast food place, but the fries and burger patty were not seasoned even a little bit. I rarely eat this type of fast food, and when I do I usually feel good while eating it then feel terrible later. But while eating here I felt terrible before, during and after. Hot dog was also bad. The staff are very friendly though and the place is decently clean.

Pasadena’s Finest. The best place in town for a fast casual cheeseburger. The fried zucchini is a MUST have guilty pleasure.

Chili Fries were good they have been better, it's been Cleaner , The white card board signs they have at the register need to be removed because of the Foul Language & Obsenities Written on them. The Bathrooms were Filthy bad smell Broken seat cover dispenser. This place has been better taken care of very disappointed.
