The Best Waterfront Dining in Palm Beach County | Eater Miami

"Lucky Shuck is housed in a space that’s a cross between a Florida panhandle beach shack and a modern warehouse with exposed air ducts, industrial-style pendant lighting, and a central bar and mezzanine level that showcases stored kegs. The menu reinforces the Gulf Coast feel with shrimp and andouille sausage gumbo, brisket-loaded cornbread, and peel-and-eat shrimp. Plus on Mondays there’s a specially priced “Shuck-it bucket” with six Blue Point oysters and two Heineken bottles." - J. Miller

Our visit started off great then....We were seated immediately, The waitress came over immediately, we did sit outside but the fans were perfect, the view beautiful. I got the strawberry Margarita, excellent. I wish I could have gotten another but the waitress wasn't around and never asked. The chowder was excellent, the oysters perfect nice and cold. The waitress gave us warm water refills. I had to ask for ice. My husband got the octopus, was good. I ordered the Shrimp & Grits. I did not get the grits on my plate. When she finally came over we were done eating. I told her about the grits and she said she didn't hear me and would bring the grits. I told her I wouldn't have ordered the dish w/o the grits. She brought the check $166.00 for lunch. I had one margarita, 2 oysters and the shrimp. I left hungry. Bummer 😞

Went on a Friday night while visiting the area. Made a reservation and was greeted and seated right away. Our sever Brittany came over to serve us and she was a pleasure! We ordered cocktails I can’t remember the name but they were delicious drinks. Brittany was sure to be attentive to us while serving other tables because the place was packed. We ordered appetizers. I had the gumbo which was so good, my husband had the smoked wings he enjoyed them. I didn’t care for them but he ate them all. We both ordered the salmon bowl which came with sticky white rice and pickled onions and guacamole it was delicious. We both loved and ate our bowls. Desserts were great too, I had the banana fosters cheesecake and hubby had the peach dessert. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great as well beautiful water view with indoor or outdoor seating. We will definitely be back when we visit the area again! Between the excellent service by Brittany and the food 10/10!

This is an amazing place. The oyster selection is ample and delicious. The house oysters were as good if not better than the premium ones. The server was very attentive and supportive in recommending the best items and drinks. Maple bacon old fashioned was great. And the deviled eggs out of this world.

Every dish was outstanding, thoughtfully crafted with subtle touches that highlight the chef’s mastery of flavor profiles and textural contrasts. Each bite showcased a harmonious balance, demonstrating both creativity and precision in execution. The ambiance was equally remarkable, offering a welcoming and immersive atmosphere both indoors and out. As twilight approached, the setting took on an even more enchanting quality—I can only imagine how breathtaking it must be once the sun fully sets. Adding to the experience, the wait staff was inviting, knowledgeable, and consistently warm. Their friendly demeanor, genuine smiles, and attentiveness elevated the evening, making the service feel just as exceptional as the food.

Fairly decent food. Nothing over the top amazing but tasty. The fish dip was very smooth, I prefer more fish pieces- octopus was cooked very well and it was a good size tentacle- and finally the cobia was cooked fairly decent. Nothing over the top but good quality food.

I came here Friday for lunch with my brother! For starters we got fried calamari & zucchini, Lobster cocktail, and oysters too! For a drink I got the ancho margarita! And that drink was amazing! For our Main course we got the grilled Mahi Mahi! Let me tell you that was the best fish that I ever had! I loved all the food and drinks and atmosphere! I’m definitely coming back here next time I visit Jupiter Florida!

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We chose to sit at the bar. Beautiful views all around. Since it was Mother’s Day, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary glass of champagne. I also had a Bloody Mary, which was bold, flavorful, and hit the spot. My boyfriend and I shared a few small plates: the fried oysters were crispy and fresh, the deviled eggs were creamy with a hint of spice, and the ahi tuna tacos were light, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We still had room, so we ended on a high note with the loaded cornbread. Lucky Shuck delivers great food, coastal vibes, and excellent service. Definitely a solid spot for a casual but delicious lunch by the water.

Ask for Jenna!! She was so friendly and attentive. She made our experience so much fun. The food was delicious and the view was beautiful. The hostess was very sweet too and offered to take our photos. Thank you team for you amazing service.

Yelp
Left previous review was correcting the stars on the rating system But while I'm here food was great seriously everything nice menu Excellent service and a sense of humor. Appetizers went from great oysters to gumbo w/ andouille sausages and shrimp tuna tacos Dinner just got better oh don't forget the corn Shrimp Dumplings real winner. Fresh fish for entrees Sorry but there was no room for dessert. Big portions even the appetizers I'll be back

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here for happy hour! We got oysters and little tuna tacos they were delicious! For my entree I got the Jerk Spiced Tuna, it had so much flavor & I highly recommend ordering it! My fiancé ordered the burger and it was great and also really big! The views from this restaurant are amazing and our service was great, I can't recommend this spot enough for lunch or dinner!

Yelp
THIS PLACE WAS DELISHHH! Came here with some girlfriends. We sat outside and it was beautiful. The inside is beautiful as well. The staff is so so so kind and welcoming. Super happy to answer all questions that we had and welcome us since it was our first time eating there. I got the salmon poke bowl. It was so like actually so amazing with the peanut garnish! I have never had a poke bowl like it. The flavors were amazing. I will have to come back when I am in the area.

Yelp
Lucky shuck has become one of our favorites. The food, service, location, and view are all top notch. I've never had one bad thing on the menu! Their Shrimp Fried "Dirty" rice is my absolute favorite.
google avatar

Madison S.

Yelp
A beautiful view outside and ample patio seating, I highly recommend reservations. Staff was incredibly friendly and despite it being packed food still came out fairly quickly. I highly recommend the crusted swordfish . The showstopper though was truly the cookie skillet dessert.
google avatar

Jennie S.

Yelp
Oysters and the tuna and salmon poke taco... DELISH! The service here was more than excellent. Our waitress was a dream and just the sweetest and nicest personality. She gave us a lot of pointers and helpful advice on what oysters to order and other menu tips. The place is beautiful, right on the water and the view is gorgeous! Best oysters ever!
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
Great customer service, amazing views, and even better food . Wasn't feeling seafood but did order the wings and a burger and everything was flavorful and fresh. Great outdoor seating with a view.
google avatar

Yelp
Had lunch here today, delicious. Ordered the swordfish over sweet potato mash, definitely recommend. We ordered both the Key Lime pie and the strawberry moose, both were outstanding. The waitress was very nice, attentive and helpful. This place is right on the ICW and even the area to wait for a table was great (outside looking at the IC and boats). Highly recommend.

Yelp
We so wanted to love this place. My daughter and son split the tuna tacos and needless to say they were not good. My daughter ended up eating half of my meal and my son ended up ordering a burger. When the first burger came out, it was so overcooked he couldn't even eat it. It was a series of unfortunate events! Then it was taking forever so we said just skip it. By then, it was too late and they brought it out but in a to go box. He ended up eating it in the car and said it was so overcooked again. He ate fries for dinner that night. The waitress was great and she really did try to rectify the situation but it was just going downhill fast. We probably won't come back because I didn't love my meal and neither did either one of my children. I felt everything was very over salted and just not great. I suppose you go for the view, which was of course spectacular.

Yelp
Delicious! Lovely! Excelent service! And what a great spot to spend a happy lunch celebrating a friend's birthday. It was a great choice. We shared a bountiful appetizer of a brisket with cornbread cubes that was absolutely scrumptious (my friend thought it was a bit hot but I think just peppery hot) and then also shared the delicious skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and fries entree that was just perfect. Both dishes were beautifully plated and tasted yummy. Then they brought us cake ! The lunch was so fun and relaxing- we sat at Their patio that overlooks the inlet, so we have great pictures with the Jupiter lighthouse in the background and enjoyed the views as the boats floated towards their docks. Relaxing and perfect for our little birthday escape. Loved it. Enjoy!

Yelp
There was a slight wait to sit at the bar on a Friday evening but we happened to snag a few seats. Service was fast as the bartenders all made sure we were taken care of at all times. For the sports fans, there are TVs there with no sound. I ended up going with the skirt steak which was cooked medium and was tender. It came with perfectly cooked fries and a small salad. Pretty good plate for $45 before tip. This place is solid, I've been a few times and haven't had a bad meal.

Yelp
This place is a happy hour gem! The food was over the top great! I got the steamed clams which were remarkably over the top delicious. Little sausages, spices and tender clams steamed together for the best broth, to dip a generous toasted slab of seasoned Italian bread into. Mama Mia! Price was so fair!! Also got the deviled eggs, bacon on top drizzled with something sweet- I forget what but UMAMI!! The first time I have used that word to describe food- those eggs were luscious and the best I have ever had. The kitchen must love their job because you taste it in the effort they put in the food. The view is over a marina and you see the lighthouse across the way. The server didn't rush us either. We got there around 3:15 pm for happy hour. Go here for some special food !

Yelp
The inside is really pretty it had a good ambiance, I've came in through the dock side a few times for a beer and the staff is really friendly, it's definitely more of a fancy place and a little more pricey but if you go in for an appetizer it's not bad, all in all I would visit them again
google avatar

Noemarie D.

Yelp
I had a wonderful lunch. They had fresh specials and we sat right by the water with a view of the lighthouse. The servers explained the menu and their specials. We ordered 3 appetizers and 3 meals.
google avatar

Melanie V.

Yelp
Really kind staff and clean space. Good Sunday football specials including buckets of beer for $12. Grouper was prepared nicely and the broccolini was incredible! Friends said the sliders were good however the poke bowl was boring with no sauce. They were quick and accommodating.
google avatar

Colleen W.

Yelp
consistently excellent. Greg or Server really made everything perfect for the evening. The evening was beautiful, the food was amazing, and of course Greg's service was outstanding. This place is consistently great.

Yelp
I'll be kind and give this place 5 stars, though it's probably closer to a 4.5. Pros: --the hushpuppies were AMAZING --the key lime pie was AMAZING --the service was professional --the patio view is exceptional Cons: --the shrimp po boy needed a little more acidity; we wished it had been served with a lemon wedge. In addition, the size of the shrimp were kind of disappointing. --the water glasses are so small that I felt bad for our waiter for having to return to our table multiple times to refill our waters Would I go back? Definitely. I'd probably order something different for my main entree, but I was satisfied that the food seemed fresh and as described per the menu.

Yelp
Great food, great service (Nicole) and a beautiful outdoor patio by the water! Had a dozen raw oysters that came out quickly and very fresh. The Mahi entree was the best thing I've had in Jupiter so far.

Ricky D.

Yelp
Service - great View/ambiance -great Food - below average This review is cumulative and based on several recent visits. After many dining experiences I can say the food at Lucky Shuck is just not very good with some items being okay and others terrible. I used to love Lucky Shuck but the food quality has declined over the years and even fish entrees have disappointed with fish often being dry or overcooked and that's a problem anywhere but it's unacceptable in a seafood restaurant. An appetizer of Shrimp Fried Rice featured small shrimp that were not fresh and I understand for $17 I'm not going to get great shrimp but the quality here is abysmal. On past visits the Swordfish and Tile fish were dull and dry and weren't worth finishing. The Salmon Poke Bowl is also a let down with chewy salmon and guac that seemed pre prepared. Following the fish theme a Cajun Chicken entree featured overcooked chicken and the tasteless sauce only added to the failure. What is good are the Tuna Tacos as well as the biscuits. Desserts have changed over the years and like the food has declined and excellent desserts have been taken off the menu. Lucky Shuck does have its good points (hence the three stars) and that includes stellar service, free parking, good drinks and of course the great view.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. I rated it 4 but it's really slightly higher than that. The food was good not great but the real appeal is the location. I mean to be able to sit outside and have a view of the intracoastal and the lighthouse is really superb. Service was decent. I think a little bit more training and oversight could really make a difference. I will say that they have a lot of people working, so if you need something and don't see your server you can grab someone else to help. Overall...I like this place and will be back. I hope you feel the same. Enjoy.

Jenette M.

Yelp
Aina gave the best service ever! She suggested the Tuna Tacos and the dirty shrimp rice - she was 100% right! We have been here all week and this is the best food we have had! Would recommend to anyone coming to this area! What a great experience here! Clean, beautiful views and amazing staff (our server) 10 plus plus for this place! Who knows we might be back tomorrow on our last day here! So impressed!

Yelp
Was on a business trip to Jupiter and wanted to eat somewhere close to the water so we chose Lucky Shuck. Very clean and high end coastal vibe. We didn't make a reservation, but only had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Our server, Kenny, was phenomenal! Very attentive and everything he suggested was delicious: Pretzels & Cheese Fondue, Baby Back Ribs, and Crispy Chicken Sandwich were absolutely drool-worthy. If we were in town longer, we would have gone back to try more items off their menu!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful view. The food is pretty good, but the service is pretty slow. The Shrimp & Andouille Sausage Gumbo was fantastic, as were the Peel & Eat Shrimp. The fish of the day was very overcooked so I would not order that again.
google avatar

Sherry S.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this place! The oysters were fantastic and the passion fruit mignonette was amazing! The gumbo was the one miss unfortunately, not terrible but not great. Will be back next time we are in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful food, beautifully presented. We started with the raw bar - Prince Edward Island oysters for me and clams for the husband. So fresh! I had the Caesar salad with avacado, bacon and shrimp. He had the Po' Boy open faced sandwich with shrimp which looked amazing. I had a Bay Breeze cocktail, exquisite! I wish I lived closer to this great place. Oh- service was quite good with a sweet and efficient server. The ambiance was just beautiful with a great view on the water. Both thumbs up!
google avatar

Heidi L.

Yelp
Oysters selection and drinks are great. Service is great but the other menu items have gone down hill since first opening. We love going here but only for oysters.
google avatar

Cailey R.

Yelp
Ok the food here was amazing!!!!! We had a large party and got a day of reservation. They sat us immediately and the service was great. The oysters with cheese and butter were some of the best I've had in Florida hands down!! The wings were Smokey and crispy but still juicy in the inside!! It's right in the water with a perfect view!! Definitely recommend!!! Outstanding!!
google avatar

Lindsay J.

Yelp
Our party of three finicky diners had a great lunch here! Sat at the bar due to busy dining room on a Friday afternoon. Started with a dozen oysters: delicious, albeit pricy. For entrees we had the maple salmon bowl, tuna poke bowl and the Cuban sandwich. All great portions and delicious. Service was a bit slow but friendly.

Denise G.

Yelp
Great food Delicious drinks Great variety Fabulous atmosphere On point service Looking forward to going again

Rick V.

Yelp
As many have mentioned, the location is fabulous. I had the Mahi-Mahi sandwich, and it was tasteless. I also had a side of Mac and Cheese, and it was mediocre. Maybe I'll order better in the future because I will come back. Pro-Tip: Come for drinks and apps and the view and you'll be happy.

Brenda T.

Yelp
Nice little spot on the water - the service was fantastic, the food was ok. The panhandler walking through interrupting dinner and then standing outside at the door asking for $ wasn't good for the business. The winds were awesome. The mahi sandwich was very good. Oysters were fresh. The NY strip was not and the cut for $50 seemed extremely tough. The fries were cold and got the bottom of the barrel - server did bring more that was better. Apps were small especially for the price - pretzels and cheese had 4 small pieces only - perhaps 1 stick cut into 4 pieces It's ok - the highlight was our server.

Yelp
The perfect spot for an impromptu date night with my wife. Since we're fairly early, about 6:30 pm, on a Friday, we had little to no wait. Our waitress, Lauren, was delightful and very helpful. We stated with some adult beverages to include an on tap Tito's espresso martini and a delicious pour of Weller Antique 107 bourbon. Then we moved on to a nice appetizer of pretzels and beer cheese before our main courses arrived. My wife enjoyed a skirt steak with fries (dip the fries in the left over beer cheese!) and I took advantage of the catch of the day. My swordfish was cooked medium and served over wild rice and had broccolini on the side. My wife finished with an epic blood orange martini. Highly recommend a stop here and ask for Lauren!
google avatar

Brett S.

Yelp
Views! Service!! Atmosphere!! Food Quality!! We always eat here on our annual trip to Jupiter and it always exceeds expectations. Love it! Food is amazing!!
google avatar

Maeve G.

Yelp
We've had the pleasure of visiting Lucky Shuck a few times, and each time the food amazes me. Some of our top picks are the buffalo cauliflower as an appetizer and the fresh catch of the day topped with a creole pecan-macadamia nut crust. Initially, I was uncertain about the grits, but when paired with the lobster cognac sauce and fish, it's incredibly tasty. In addition to the fantastic food, we enjoy sitting outside with a view of the Jupiter lighthouse, creating a wonderful atmosphere, especially enhanced by their outdoor mood lighting.
google avatar

Yelp
Great night! Tried a lot of things off the menu to share. The rest of our party had a chance to back several times. Accommodated our party that had children by switching from a high top to a low top. Really enjoyed my cocktail. Open air to the water was fun for kids to look at while we ate, and it was loud and energetic enough that we didn't disturb anyone. Can't think of a single negative about the food, it was all delicious.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
A friend of mine suggested this place for our group's monthly dinner and it did not disappoint! A few of us arrived earlier and sat at the raw bar to enjoy happy hour specials. Somehow, everything we tasted was better than the last! The deviled eggs, shrimp, and corn hush puppies and wings were so good! The food was fresh and came out in a timely manner as well! We then tried the lucky fries, which were perfectly seasoned and crisp. Right before our larger party joined, we enjoyed 1/2 a dozen oysters, and they were perfect! At our actual table, we shared the grilled artichokes, cauliflower, smoked fish dip, BBQ shrimp, mussels, and salad special of the day with rock shrimp!! I had no complaints about any of the dishes, and I'm already planning my return! Our server, Jennifer, was great and helped to make a truly great experience. Definitely recommend - especially with the great view of the lighthouse.
google avatar

Giorgio P.

Yelp
Excellent seafood in beautiful ambiance with outdoor seating right on the water...best part is they prepared the fish properly either grilled or blackened without adding anything that wasn't needed. This is a seafood experience! Try the oysters and mahi!
google avatar

Amanda A.

Yelp
Great place to sit outside by the water with the view of the jupiter lighthouse. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. From the moment we walked into leaving, everyone was super friendly. Our waitress answered all our questions. I opted for a mocktail, and I then had the strawberry dessert drink , both were awesome. The fish dip was very good with crackers and veggies. It's definitely a great place to check out.
google avatar

Daniel P.

Yelp
Food was awesome. However, it was a busy day and appetizer never came. Drinks never got refilled and we where left without a drink. Cocktail was great, but ran out and never asked for a refill. Never asked if we wanted desert or coffee. Seems like it's moving to become a fast food place and not what it used to be.
google avatar

Steve G.

Yelp
Great views from the outside seating. All of our food choices were very fresh and well presented. Great flavors. Excellent table service.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
We went to Lucky Shuck for an early Mother's Day lunch with my fiancés grandmother and we had a pleasant time! Since it was a Saturday, I got reservations, but they weren't needed, as I think we were nearing the end of our "season" in Jupiter. The server was kind and attentive, and the food was tasty. Can't say I was too fond of the meat they used for the Cuban, it was a little too smoky to taste authentic, but I enjoyed the deviled eggs and the cornbread appetizer. We were seated near the inlet and had a nice view of the lighthouse, so I really have no complaints! I would just get a different entree next time.
google avatar

Opal D.

Yelp
Oh we loved this meal. Truly kid friendly (loud, has kids menu, high chairs available, mini popsicles for dessert, etc.), amazing menu, quality food, with great service. I can't think of a single thing I would change.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
We were visiting friends in Jupiter and decided to have lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant sits along the water so the ambiance is exquisite. They have plenty of outdoor, indoor and bar seating. We chose to sit outside and were offered a nice table very close to the water. The menu had plenty of appetizers, salads, wings, burgers, sandwiches and entrees. They also had a special football menu that contained some good sounding appetizers. We opted for the wings, an impossible burger, a Cobb salad, and a fish sandwich. The wings had a nice smoky flavor to them and were accompanied by Alabama White BBQ sauce. They tasted great. The Cobb salad had bacon, eggs, greens, tomatoes, tortilla chips, and avocado. It was a good size portion, and very fresh. The blackened fish sandwich was very tasty and came with a side of fries. The impossible burger came on a grilled bun that had a nice grill design on it. Everyone enjoyed their lunch, and especially the relaxing outdoor environment. We would definitely return.

Yelp
I can't tell you how much I love this place! We try and come down once a year to visit and eat here! Food is always top notch, views are amazing! Truly one of the best restaurants around!

Jane S.

Yelp
Sometimes, there are restaurants you visit solely for the ambiance or view. This is one of them. The view of the Jupiter inlet and the lighthouse is incredible and sitting on the patio is a must - it's right on the water. Friendly service. Unfortunately, the food is disappointing - fried dishes and French fries were quite tasteless. When they first opened, they had the most delicious cheese biscuits bread basket. What happened to them? I want to love this place but unfortunately I won't be back anytime soon.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
I want to give this place 5 stars but just can't fully get there. The setting is beautiful with the lighthouse in view. The cocktail menu needs more... one vodka drink and the rest is rum and whisky. The food does come out fast and we enjoyed the hush puppies and fish dip for appetizers. Fries say "lucky"...they are bland and for a such a nice menu they need better quality fries. Lots of attentive staff. Overall a great place to visit while in Jupiter.
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
Always love eating at lucky shuck. The atmosphere is great especially if you can get a seat outside and the entire staff is very friendly. We started out by getting the brisket cornbread, fried calamari and a side of dirty rice. The dirty rice is an absolute must order every time. The brisket cornbread was very interesting, not my favorite but it might appeal to some. The brisket is very good and the cornbread has a sweet flavor with a thick sauce. The fried calamari was awesome and the sauce that comes with it was quite nice. For dinner I tried the Cuban sandwich and would highly recommend it. The bread was toasted perfectly, the combination of ham, mustard and pickle on the inside couldn't have been much better. Highly recommend !

Yelp
Everything was excellent! The service was great, wait staff very friendly. I had the Maple glazed Salmon bowl and it was amazing! Of course the atmosphere was on point!
