Sometimes the best spots are the ones you stumble upon by chance, and that’s exactly what happened here. I was in the area, opened Google Maps to see what was around, and decided to give this place a try. I walked in with zero expectations, but I walked out genuinely impressed and already thinking about when I can come back. The first thing that stood out was the burgers. They were cooked really well—juicy, flavorful, and made with quality meat. You could tell care went into preparing them, not just something thrown together. Every bite was satisfying, and it honestly exceeded what I was expecting for a random find. The fries were another highlight. Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, and packed with flavor. They weren’t just filler on the side; they were something I’d order on their own. The corn dog was also surprisingly delicious. Simple, but done right, and it added to the overall experience. The vibe of the place felt casual and welcoming, the kind of spot that makes you want to relax and enjoy your food without rushing. It’s rare for me to walk into a place I’ve never been before and leave feeling like I found a hidden gem, but that’s exactly how it felt. I can easily see myself coming back here, and next time I’ll be bringing my family along. Great food, good atmosphere, and one of those spots worth remembering.

Love when just scrolling Google Maps leads you to a wonderful experience! The burgers are so perfect and the toppings were fresh. The fries were crisp and had a good seasoning. The shakes are beyond words, with a great selection of flavors. Definitely a place to visit regularly (and they have regulars)!

Place is very good. Ordered a burger with fries with extra jalapenos and was not disappointed. Got a chocolate peanut butter shake for dessert. Would visit again.

Hole in the wall comfortable place to eat, hard seats, great prices, great specific food selection (burgers, fries, hot dog combinations, shakes), comfortable, quiet, and clean. They've been here since 2013, the owner was working, he was very professional and friendly. He cleaned up immediately after people left, keeps a tight clean ship. I know it's burgers & shakes, but I was in the mood for a regular hot dog, it was delicious. The fries are really good too - my meal was $11.55 total. The shake was separate, it was in the $5-$7 range (with a $1 tip included). Free refills, looked like Pepsi products - so Pepsi/Mountain Dew and others. Couple things to note- - There is no bathroom. - Hard seats, not padded. One suggestion- - The milkshake/malt shake straw could be a wider diameter, it's not wide enough to easily drink through. Ditch the normal straws and go for a slightly larger one and everyone will be happier.

Great hole in the wall style food but with big flavors and great customer service. The burgers are a thinner, wider patty that allows a larger bun to hold more ingredients and flavor. All beef hot dog was great too! I didn’t get a shake but they have a large variety of flavors and also freshly squeezed lemonade! I wish I would’ve discovered this place sooner!

Definitely 5 stars! This place was kind of a staple for us in Phoenix. The burgers are obviously very fresh, nothing too complicated, just quality ingredients. The fries are always the perfect amount of crispy. I'm from New Mexico and am something of a green chile snob, but I wasn't disappointed with their green chile burgers. I usually add bacon as well. I've also had the milkshakes and the fresh lemonade. Just try this place. The owners are great too, really hard workers. Recommend for sure👌🏼

I decided to try out Lucky's and I am so glad I did! The team at Lucky's is so friendly and efficient. The inside of Lucky's is pretty small, maybe about 6-7 tables. Lucky( ;p ) for me I went for take-away. The food is amazing. BBQ bacon burger with chili cheese fries and a chocolate milkshake. I ate it so fast I think i forgot to chew! It was so good! If you want to try a local burger spot, you should really give Lucky's a shot!

So, we visited after having a taste for burgers and read the reviews on Yelp. The service was friendly and fast . We ordered 1/4 pound burgers and shakes. The good service is where it ended. The burgers need to be seasoned, they were just ok at best, just a tasteless beef patty. less condiments on the burger and a little more seasoning. The shakes were, well, just ok. Plus, a restaurant with no bathroom for their guests. Like I said just ok at best.

Tucked away in a little shopping plaza off 19th Ave and Cactus, you'll find this amazing little gem of a burger place. I can't say enough good things about Lucky's Burgers & Shakes. Let's start with the burgers... absolutely incredible! They have the most flavorful, juicy burger patty, topped with their homemade sauces, and then the regular burger toppings -- lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese. Sure it may sound like a regular ole burger but it's not. I don't know what they do but it's been a long time since I've found a place with a burger THIS good. Then their fries. OMG the fries!!! They're seasoned to perfection, and made fresh to order. They're my favorite; and ones that I don't mind if my kids eat the whole order -- actually I encourage it. And then, I think they're the only place around town where I've found this divine indulgence -- a coffee milkshake! This isn't an iced coffee drink, no. This is the creamy, let's-not-count-the-calories-treat-yourself kinda dessert drink that will elevate your mind and mood, while satisfying your sweet tooth. They've got plenty of other milkshake flavors but the coffee one is divine and my go-to. The service is top-notch, and we've felt like family each time we stop in... that's partly why we love Lucky's so much. The staff takes the time to connect with their customers and you definitely don't feel like you're just a number or just an order here. The dine-in area is small and intimate, and, although we haven't stayed to eat (it's tough to go out with littles), it's clean and inviting. Lucky's burgers, I think WE are the lucky ones for finding you!

Really good food. I heard about the burgers (my husband had the 1/2 pound) but I tried the grilled chicken sandwich and it was wonderful. Fresh and tasty! And they have some of the best fries anywhere. Didn't try a shake/malt today, but definitely next time! And when they say "fresh squeezed lemonade ", they mean it!

The food is like.... like mom made a delicious sandwich for you. We got a friendly greeting when we walked in and were asked if we were referred by anyone. This is a basic simple shop that serves amazing food and even better shakes and malts with real delicious fruit in them. We will 100% return!

I was so bummed to find this place. Not because it's bad, but because it's great, but I live 40 miles away! I've been looking for a Southern California-style, good-ole burger joint, all over the Phoenix Valley. I've found a couple of decent ones, but Lucky's really nailed it. One of the best burgers I've had, the best malt I've had, and certainly the best and most personalized service. This place is in a run-of-the-mill strip mall that saw its best years in the 70's. That bodes well for a burger joint! That's where the real stuff comes from. And Lucky's didn't disappoint. What a great burger. So what made it great? Well, burgers rise and fall based on their sauce. That's the main thing. Then, the patty. And that means flavor and texture. Then you have to have a soft-but-substantial bun. Nobody likes those finicky "pretzel" buns or the schmancy "brioche"buns. No. Just give me a good, classic burger bun. And this is. The burger sauce is a variation of thousand but it's house-made. No vinegary, institutionalized sauce here. This has a creamy, somewhat sharp, smooth flavor. It's an excellent burger sauce and harkens back to the beat 1960s burger joints. The patty is a solid, tasty, perfectly-cooked beef patty. It's char grilled and tastes like a burger should: bold yet balanced. It is excellent! Pair it with the sauce, bun, and fixings (you have the choice of many additions- from jalapeños to green chilis to tomatoes and beyond. Something for everyone. I like the classic onions, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. By the way, the fries are REALLY good. They are slightly seasoned and taste like they're fried in something other than cheap, truck-lubricant canola oil. The malt is the best I've had anywhere. Their ice cream (which is the base of any good shake or malt) is really, really good. It's not the cheapie restaurant supply crap they have most fast food places. The owner made me a cherry-chocolate shake just to try it, and it was phenomenal. The shakes here are the BEST. No joke. And last is the service. The owner was so helpful and kind and enthusiastic and helpful. It's so refreshing to not be "helped" by a bored, clueless, miserable 17-year old just waiting to be off and run home. The owner runs the place and it shows. Excellent service and a clean place. Add that to the fanTAStic burger, and you e got a winner. What I wouldn't give to move these guys to the West valley!!!! PS- the prices are absurdly cheap.

We were headed for in and out burger and when we got there it was packed so we changed our plan and found Luckys Burgers and Shakes. I am so glad we decided to try this. I highly recommend this place. They have amazing burgers. The owner was there and spoke to him for a few minutes. He is a very nice guy as well. Our son wants to be a chef and the owner had some great advice. When you go, get the thousand island dressing and BBQ sauce on it. AMAZING

Super excited to try this place but it was underwhelming considering the stellar reviews. Food was good not amazing. I would absolutely go again but it would never be my favorite. Customer service was great! The girl who helped us was incredibly nice and attentive. She apologized for our wait and said it was her first day... I would have thought she owned the place by her attentive service. She was 10/10. Milkshakes were a big no.

This is a hidden gem! Located in behind a taco shop. We weren't sure it would be open Labor Day weekend. We were happy to see the lights on . Walking in it was super clean and we were greeted by the guy behind the counter. I ordered a burger he explained the sauces and veggies for the burger. Three size beef patties . We both ordered 1/4 pounder 1 w/ thousand island sauce the other bbq sauce w/green chili. Fries were seasoned perfectly with a seasoning salt mix. Plus if you let the chili and beef juice run into the fries... so good! One order of fries was enough to share. We were ask a couple times if there was anything we needed and how the food was. The list of shakes was tempting we thought maybe for dessert. We will be back for sure maybe even for just the shake! For your entertainment the walls have lots of old fashion signs which are pretty funny. This has to be the best place to grab a great burger for a great price. I sure hope they stay in business. It was $20 for 2 burgers fries and one drink. Fast food is more expensive and not the quality. This has all fresh veggies and fries made for your order. Absolutely PHENOMENAL food AND service. The owner is so kind cooking up his favorite milkshake combos and bringing out samples. So affordable as well you won't find prices like this many places outside of In-N-Out. Tastes like the best backyard burger you can ask for. DO NOT MISS OUT!!

Pretty cute family owned. Friendly staff. We have eaten here 4 times. First two were great. I was impressed w the burger. It's better than fast food but not as good as a restaurant. The last two times were not as good. If you are used to eating fast food then I recommend this spot. For me, I never eat fast food so eating at a spot like this is rare. But if I'm craving a fast food burger I would go here.

Came down from Utah for the an NFL game and stumbled on Lucky's! So glad we did! Left with a full belly and Marvin hooked us up with Butterscotch Oreo shake! WOW! Marvin, we will be back!

Omg first time here after moving back here to AZ from California!! All I can say is WOWOWOWOWOWOW the service was wonderful and the burger was cooked perfectly and juicy!! Fries were hot and crisp with a nice seasoning! Highly recommend

Came close to when they opened. Small, cute dining room, but no one was there so plenty of seating. Greeted right away by a friendly face. Food was good. Standard greasy spoon fare. The house made thousand island was a delicious addition. Fries were hot and crisp.

Cute burger and shake place. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. I ordered the corn dogs and my husband order the 1/2 lb burger. The burger was really good. Unfortunately the corn dogs tasted like frozen store bought ones. We got a strawberry shake as well and it was delicious. We'll definitely be coming back in the future.

I actually found about this place via Instagram. Had never heard of it, but I wasn't far away so I decided to stop in for lunch. The place is small, but people move through pretty quickly. The menu is small, but has all the essential items for a good burger shop. The milkshake menu is quite good as well. I opted for a 1/2 lb burger with homemade 1000 island and the normal toppings. It was cooked to perfection - crusty, salty, and a nice charcoal flavor. I opted for French fries as well. They were crispy and hot. Service was fast and friendlier. All around good experience. Will rerun. N*joy.

The fries were absolutely fantastic! I decided to enhance my already very good burger with an additional patty and some crispy bacon. The service provided was top-notch. I will certainly return to this delightful burger spot tucked away from plain sight. My friend indulged in a shake and praised its perfection. Visiting Lucky's is always a safe bet.

The food is incredible. however, the new checkout girl that they have working in the front has an incredibly rude tone and is very short with the customers as of 1.16.25 not to mention it is incredibly rude when she checks you out and turns around and starts talking to the chef and pointing behind her and speaking in a different language, laughing clearly talking about the interaction we just had at the register. Is this a joke? I can totally tell that she was talking about me. for that reason, I do not recommend this place and I suggest that if they want to stay in as good standing of businesses that they let go of the girl working at the front not to mention this girl was on her phone with her ringer on loud clicking buttons, playing music out loud and laughing at her phone, not being present with the customers around her. Horrible service today.

While out running around at a nearby location we decide to stop by Lucky's and check them out. First thoughts upon pulling into the parking lot was that it was very small and could be very difficult to find parking depending on time of day. It is in a very old part of town and the buildings show it. Once inside we were greeted right away by the owner and his smile. You can tell he loves what he does. After telling him we had never been in before he told us a bit about the place and what some favorite items might be. He told me he loved the 1/4 lb with cheese, green chile, bacon, thousand island (made in-house) with a little bbq sauce and all the fixings aka tomato, lettuce, onion and such. That sounded delicious so I made it a meal with fries and a vanilla milkshake since they were out of bananas, bummer. They had quite a few other flavors. The location is small and maybe six tables or so. The place was pretty busy , but we luckily found one of the last tables. My brother ordered the half lb burger with just cheese, lettuce, tomato and mustard/ketchup as well as a hot dog. Our food came out pretty quick and my burger looked and tasted phenomenal. My brother liked his burger, but the hot dog he said was horrible and way over cooked. He did not finish it. Fries were good, but I've had better. I really enjoyed my burger. Flavor was good. Milkshake was ok but tasted like made with premade items. Ceiling fans could use a good dusting, but other than that pretty clean. Again burger was great, service awesome and prices were really a good deal for the size of the burger and meal options.

This is our second time coming here. We are from Texas so we are a bit of a burger snob. The burgers are really good! Great value for what you get, not only that the handmade shakes are the bomb! Also to mention the guy that owns it works his ass off, has great customer service, this is the kind of small business I'll continue to support. Highly recommend!!!

They have really great milkshakes. We had a chocolate. It was absolutely wonderful that hamburgers were very good, meaty and juicy. We do not have any of the fries. We just were there for a quick bite.

If you're looking for a diner style/hole in the wall burger spot, look no further! Although it's located somewhere where you may drive right past it and not notice it, this place is worth checking out. Although they don't have a large variety of burgers, they have several options in order to customize your single, double, or triple burger. The burgers are juicy and delicious and their fries are fried to a perfect crisp and the right amount of crunch. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be stopping by for another burger and hopefully try out their shakes.

At first I was upset that my burger was served with American cheese instead of Swiss like I requested but once I took a bite of the burger, my whole mind was blown away from the other items that were put into the burger that I forgot all about the cheese! It's a great burger with great customer service! And they placed napkins and ketchup in the bag without me asking! So thoughtful

Small place inside a strip mall. 7 tables inside. No outside dining. Which is fine cause AZ is HOT! Got a double burger and fries. So big! Couldn't even finish it all. Tasty, fresh burger and hot fries! Everyone was very nice and food came out hot and fast! Excellent customer service.
