After leaving another restaurant disappointed, I was so relieved to catch this spot just before closing--and honestly, it hit the spot.
Food: 4/5
I ordered the beef bánh mì for my husband and pho for myself. One thing I found really interesting was how this place focuses on vegan Vietnamese cuisine--but still offers meat options. While I didn't go for the tofu this time, the concept itself was cool and made me curious to come back and try more.
The bánh mì was solid--good portion, decent amount of meat, and a nice balance of pickled veggies. The pho wasn't the richest or most flavorful broth I've ever had (especially compared to more traditional beef-based versions), but it was comforting and definitely satisfying. I'm guessing the lighter broth comes from their plant-forward philosophy, and I can't really fault them for that.
Service: 5/5
They were super fast. I placed my order about 20 minutes before closing, and they still prepared everything quickly and with care. No rushing, no attitude--just kindness and efficiency. For a late-night, last-minute meal, it was impressive.
Value:
A $40 meal for two in NYC? That's rare these days. Considering the portion sizes and speed, I'd call it a win. It's a great option if you're trying to stick to a budget but still want to eat out.
Overall:
This is a solid local gem, especially if you're looking for Vietnamese food with vegan options or just want something warm, fast, and budget-friendly. It's not the most mind-blowing pho I've had, but I'd definitely come back to try more from their menu--and maybe get that tofu next time. Bonus: it looks like they do a ton of delivery, so if you're in the area, you've got a go-to comfort food spot just a tap away
