Overpriced and underwhelming.
Let me start by saying the atmosphere is great. This place has a lot of potential, especially given its location. The restaurant is very clean and well kept—no complaints there. Service was also solid overall. We were seated quickly despite the size of our party, and our server was informative and prompt with taking our order.
That said, the dining experience itself was disappointing.
Finished plates sat in front of me far too long, and empty glasses of sweet tea accumulated before being cleared. I started with the shrimp cocktail, which had noticeable browning and a presentation comparable to a casual chain restaurant. It wasn’t ice cold and felt closer to room temperature—acceptable at best, but not what I’d expect at this price point.
I ordered a salad expecting it before my steak, but it arrived after the steak had already been served. Because the table hadn’t been cleared, I had to use the space in front of my son just to set the salad down. Fortunately, he decided he wasn’t hungry, so the space was available.
My steak was overcooked, very thinly cut, and had a large fatty portion. While the flavor was decent, the execution missed the mark. My wife’s filet came out overcooked, was sent back, and then returned undercooked. She didn’t finish it. The mac and cheese had an odd, off-putting taste. The salad itself was served on a warm plate—likely straight from the dishwasher—which caused the lettuce to wilt and left the salad watery.
In short, this is not the type of experience I would expect when spending well over $200 for two people. I wasn’t expecting Eddie V’s, but I did expect better than Logan’s. Very disappointing overall.
I would not return unless management holds the kitchen accountable and significantly improves both food quality and presentation.
