Good, not great spot. Friendly staff. I got a spicy white meat fried chicken sandwich. It was not made great. It had spicy sauce and pickles. It tasted ok. Looked not great. $12.50 or something like that. I know food is more expensive at sporting events. I know it's hard for them to feed hundreds or thousands of people in a relatively small amount of time.

Ridiculously delicious chicken tenders. They're big, they're juicy, and they just fall apart with each bite. There are several delicious dipping sauces to choose from too. I suggest Spicy Ludo - it's got a flavorful kick that is not overwhelming. Check the drink prices before ordering one though, those are far from reasonable...

Popcorn chicken was wonderful along with bbq sauce and special sauce. Even got nice cold water to cool the delicious spicy flavor down after eating.Staff was quick and helpful. Would recommend to others.

Finally tried the LUdo at staples center during a Lakers game. I've seen the chicken featured on food network shows. Imo the chicken was good but I'm not convinced it was $12 good for 3 chicken strips. The white meat was tender but the beating was just falling apart. I choose the honey mustard sauce and it was blah. Didn't care for it. Chicken was decent as far as chicken goes but did not meet the hype and definitely not worth it. Made my sons hot dog look like bargain gourmet food.

Over priced and not nearly as awesome as I would expect from the genius behind petit trois.

Coming to a Los Angeles Kings game means I get to roam around Staples Center during game intermissions. Well, not really roam around because I knew I was definitely going to make a bee line for LudoBird. The only stinking problem in Staples Center is when you have Premiere seats, there are only two ways to get downstairs to the first floor. So getting up at a 2 minute penalty wasn't enough. After asking a few of the ushers, I have finally found LudoBird but now with a few long lines. I didn't mind the wait because it gave me time to look over the menu and try to decide what to get. Oh crap, front of the line........umm, ummm, I will get the honey garlic wings and fried chicken sandwich, dark meat upon request. I'm requesting, I even asked if this is a lot of food to order the wings and sandwich, the lady said it is enough to share. The wings are the full wings and not the little ones and the sandwich is a regular size sandwich. I wanted to order the slaw but the lady pointed out it was already in the sandwich. Ok, great!! That's it, oh, and a beer. ha ha Just the food came out to about $23, I would have paid that much for a hot dog or burger of some kind. When I brought it all back to my seat, the game had just resumed with the second period. Watching the action and asking if anyone wanted to try the wings, everyone said they were good. More food for me! I don't know if you can see the pictures I posted but these are huge ass wings. 4 giant wings smothered in honey, drowning in honey, glistening under the lights. That was a good appetizer but for some it was a meal. I start on the sandwich which also gets messy because there is sauce all in it. I don't know how I didn't get it all over my lap but this is better than your average chicken sandwich. A little bit of spicy, a little bit of tangy, a little bit of crunch, a little bit cold too but it was still that good. Otherwise, don't drool all over your keyboard checking it out. There was way to much seasoning on the popcorn chicken. The biscuit had a horrible balance of flavor between the lavander and the syrup. It wasn’t good and frankly, it was disappointing nting

Crazy experience waiting for the food at Ludo Staples Center. The only restaurant that expects the food servers to separate orders as the food arrives from the kitchen. Not Ludo but ludicrous. Complete chaos

I was surprised to see a chicken sandwich place at the Crypto and even more so after the first bite. The chicken sandwich is pretty good as far as flavor. It was a bit hard to bite but we managed to finish it all. Also the house made chips were delicious. The cashier recommended it and we didn't regret trying it. A bit pricy for the size of the sandwich but let's not forget that we are inside a stadium so it was expected to be. Everything costs more at these places. Even a bottle of water can go up to $6 Great service from employees. ....

While I was checking the board menu I was surprised they didn't offer a sandwich. The menu is very limited to the chicken strips and chips. I ordered the chicken strips and the chips which were okay and very oily. I'm not sure why this place is popular but there are better chicken choices out there.

Ludobird on the first floor of staples center is a great alternative to other typical game vendor food. Their chicken sandwiches are tender and juicy completed by a delicious sauce. It's not overpriced for staples center but definitely overpriced if you were to pick it up outside of the arena. I highly recommend utilizing their mobile order so you can avoid the long, patience testing line. That said, Go Kings!

Inside Staples Center, I wanted something besides nachos or hotdogs. I read about Ludo's, so naturally I had to check it out. What is it about fried chicken sandwiches lately? They're everywhere! I ordered the dark meat version of their fried chicken sandwich. It had coleslaw in the middle, not a lot, but it added to the texture of this sandwich. It was spiced just right and this is a good sandwich overall. Would I get this again? At $13.50 with no sides is kinda steep, but this was decent. I would try the white meat next time or maybe the strips only and skip the bun. If you don't want the typical pizza, burgers, nachos or pretzels at a game, then try Ludo's.

DISGUSTING. FOOD POISONING. DONT EAT HERE EVER. I went to the laker game last night vs the bulls. I got Ludos. I took one bite of one tender and noticed it was undercooked. I was grossed out and moved onto the next tender. After biting into that second tender, I immediately noticed a HORRIBLE taste and SICKENING consistency. I looked down at my chicken to see that it was totally pink and undercooked and was also full of some kind of cancerous cyst filled with puss. I immediately spit that piece out after chewing it for a few seconds. This was the most disgusting and traumatic experience I've ever had with food in my life. I felt so sick after just a couple bites. I still feel awful. I don't even know what it was that was in that chicken but it was so gross I can't even believe it. If anyone can reach out to me or help me contact LudoBird and/or Staples about this. I plan on taking action.

First time I've really enjoyed food at the Staples center. The chicken pieces were ample and very juicy, spices were on the mark and the chips were awesome!! I wish there was an outlet away from the stadium. Looking forward to going back for a game and enjoying this delicious food!!

We ordered food here while watching the clippers game (yesterday 12/28/19). I do appreciate that although the line looked long, it moved relatively fast. You pick up the food at the right side and they also served them in a good amount of time too. I ordered the spicy popcorn chicken. Unfortunately, it has no taste to it. I thought they maybe gave me regular but my friend also got the spicy popcorn and said hers wasn't spicy either. The batter was not that great or flavorful. It wasn't the worst I've had but I mean I would not order this again. Luckily I had honey mustard sauce to dip it in which helped. It was good with that. My boyfriend and his friend ordered the chicken sandwich and also were not satisfied with it. For one, it wasn't even a whole piece of chicken but like pieces of it. So his friend took a bite and a whole piece of chicken fell to the ground. That's weird!! No offense but for the price of these sandwiches. They can taste better and be made better. I will just stick to Popeyes. But anyways, I also wanted to say our cashier (Tiffany) was super sweet and friendly when we ordered. She was patient with me deciding upon what dipping sauce to select and her smile was very contagious. I give her five stars!

I have been looking forward to the next event where I'd be at Staples so I can try this Netflix featured chicken. I ended up ordering the spicy dark chicken sandwich (12.75) and a Vitamin water (6.00). As a side note, the cashier will remove the lid from the bottle so it can't be potentially tossed to the stage, court, etc. The sandwich was not spicy and was bland! However, it was juicy and crispy. The sandwich had a soft toasted bun with some cabbage with dressing and slices of jalapeños. Just hit up Chick-fil-a . Pros: Actual jalapeños on the sandwich Juicy (black meat) chicken Bruno Mars and Ella Mai was legit! Cons: Bland Not spicy Overpriced Limited menu items- no fo All sauces are $2 extra/ sauce (It's free at Chick-fil-a AND you can have as many as you want!)

Prepare to wait because the lineups are insane. We decided to sneak a couple of minutes before half time during a Lakers game to avoid the crazy lines. Ordered the chicken strips original, the popcorn chicken spicy, coleslaw, and fresh chips combo, plus a coke. $40 total. The good... Meat was quite tender for both, and was still warm when we got it. Quantity of the "popcorn chicken" (huge chunks of meat) was great and you really get your money's worth. It couldn't be a lot better... - Seasonings is super lacking and the spicy popcorn chicken has NO heat at all. A pinch of salt goes a long way. - They also don't carry all the sauces on their menu, no béarnaise for me unfortunately. But the honey mustard was pretty solid. - SUPER pricey! While I understand that prices are going to be insane at the Staples Center. I still feel it's way too overpriced with what we got. So glad I didn't wait in their normal crazy lineups cuz if I did and got the food we had, I think I'd be less inclined to have given them 3 stars.

Three stars for the food, four stars for the customer service and value. Only a foodie like me could go to her first basketball game, first staples center event, first NBA game, and first PLAYOFFS game... And be as stoked about the food options inside the venue as much as the game. I was so excited when I saw that Ludo Lefebvre's fried chicken operation, LudoBird was inside! I heard about Ludo's now shuttered food truck from Anthony Bourdain's show and was already a fan of Ludo's sassy chef personality from watching him skewer San Diego's culinary wunderkid Brian Malarkey a few years ago on TV's The Taste. I got the signature buttermilk chicken, in strip form, for $11.50, a great price considering it was 3 big pieces of fresh, real all white meat and inside staples center where you would expect crazy markup. I love that it wasn't salty at all, but didn't like how the breading falls right off. It came with one sauce. I wanted to try the signature spicy bird sauce but asked how hot it was... So the staff member let me have a ranch for free just in case i didn't like it. Normally they charge $2 per extra sauce. Great service! I will go back to try their $5 sweet and salty ice cream sandwiches and probably their sandwich which is priced the same as the strips. PS in general I was surprised with all the variety of food stands and gourmet options inside staples center.. And all reasonably priced with a little markup

I frickn love this place there was one at city walk and it got closed but I went to the convention center and I saw it. Knew I had to get it. I love the flavors and the sauce it is absolutely immaculate. I need that recipe. The service was good very nice to me. I overall had a wonderful and delicious experience.

On one token, having a specialized fried chicken joint inside Staples Center is a plus. On the other hand, you still get charged up the ass for not all that much food. Got the fried chicken sandwich and popcorn chicken bites. They were good, but it's also double how much I should be paying for this if I were not inside an arena. Kinda makes me wish I had KFC right now though lol.

BLaaah. LudoBird is fun, I guess... came here cause it was on Eater's Staple Center List and it has a lot of great names attached to it (Petit Trois, is what I mean) but gah it's typical sports stadium overpriced food. I think the quality is definitely better than the other options, got the provencal chicken tenders for $12 and it was 3 strips + sauce of your choice (I got honey mustard) and they were good, but definitely got cold really quick and I keep comparing to Howlin' Rays but lol like definitely not up there on my list of good fried chicken. Any way, be sure to eat dinner before going to a Clippers or Lakers game. This is fine as an overpriced snack. I also got Goose IPA for $13. lol

So the first time I had Ludo Bird I thought it was pretty decent... come the second time, my experience was completely different. The food was lukewarm/cold, the chips were extremely soggy and greasy, and it was way, way too expensive for the quality.... The nuggets didn't even have parmesan on them this time! Overall, I would pick the Nuggets over the sandwich any day. The sandwich didnt taste much different from something you'd find at a generic cafeteria. The worst thing was that the trays were really shallow and the little food plates didn't fit snugly into the tray compartments so I ended up spilling the food all over the floor the minute my hand tilted just the slightest.. :( ~$20 per combo warrants a lot more. Work on your consistency and maybe I'll give it another shot... Sorry!

Is it possible to mess up fried chicken? Yep just confirmed it. - Bread looked like it was sat on - Chicken meat was broken into two pieces - The "heat" bag wrapper is just visual dressing. Lukewarm probably reheated chicken. $21 for a chicken sandwich, water, and chips. Unappetizing temperature. Sloppily assembled. Asked for non-spicy - got the spicy ofc. Really bad for the premium price. Taste wise wasn't anything special. Should just hit up Birdies outside on Olympic for a better experience pre-game.

My sandwich was ugly and sloppy. Chicken to sandwich ratio was great...but the slaw and thousand island sauce and smooshed bun kind of ruined the sandwich. Slaw was soggy and they put way too much sauce. Chicken itself was seasoned well... Side of potato salad was decent but wayyyy too small. Approximately the size of a shot of hard liquor. Seriously?! BF enjoyed his strips but the spicy sauce was not even close to creamy buffalo. Will have to try the strips with a different sauce and that biscuit next time and create my own sandwich.

Best food I've had inside staples Center! Salted ice cream sandwich. This was a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream on a grilled savory buttery bun dusted with powdered sugar. It was frozen hard enough to make it back to my seat intact to allow me to enjoy it while watching the beginning of the period! I also got the ludo strips -dark meat of course. The seasoning was a bit off for me but the Ludo sauce was solid. The meat was very juicy and not too oily. The breading was crisp and flavorful. A good snack but not a full meal.

What a rip off and the service is even worse. Chicken tenders are more like nuggets. Waste of money for real

Ludobird injects a bit of variety into the food scene at Staples Center, bringing Ludo's take on fried chicken. After seeing Ludobird featured on Mind of a Chef, I was excited to give it a try. I went with the strips and got white chicken (white chicken comes in three pieces and dark comes in two). The pieces are fairly small (about 2-3 bites each), but fairly tasty. The chicken is moist and tender while the batter is decent tho not as crispy as I had hoped. The batter is also heavily seasoned with s&p and thyme, which takes over much of the flavor profile of each bite. Overall, decent but based on the portion (which seems even smaller based on how it's presented and packaged), you may feel a little underwhelmed even after acknowledging the Staples Center premium. Located by the front entrance, next to Golden Road and across a beer and brats spot.

Considering the options at the staples center, Ludo bird is your best bet to something different. The popcorn chicken and chicken strips are not my favorite, the batter was bland and hard to bite... but their chicken sandwich and that slaw within... is taste worthy. Except the pickles, it was too salty... and I love pickles. I withdrew the pickles from the sandwich and voilá, yummy. The honey lavender biscuit is very dense on the outside yet the inside is soft, but very dry. It will leave you very thirsty after every bite because it sucks the water out of you. Literally. It's topped with salt which I think is unnecessary, and too much. The honey is awesome, I love honey, it was slathered in honey. I used the honey as dipping sauce for the biscuit which helped it go down more smoothly. I would eat here again and just aim for the sandwich and a drink.

It's a hit or miss here. When it is good, it's quite delicious: the chicken is cooked perfectly and the batter crisp with really great seasoning. When it's less than great, which is a somewhat regular occurrence, the batter is soggy and the portion size is akin to a meal for mice. My biggest annoyance though is that these 3 meager pieces of chicken for $12 are the best food at Staples Center - which is full of predictably lackluster and expensive options. Why does this have to be the case? Ludo Lefebre is a fantastic chef - why isn't he controlling the quality of his food better? Why aren't other local chefs opening up in an arena that is jam packed year round?

Chef Ludo knows his name is on this restaurant, right? Wow, I hate to blast out a bad review, but this was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a long time. And it's made all the worse by knowing that Ludo Lefebvre is capable of much better quality control than this. I've been nothing short of blown away by his food at Trois Mec and Petit Trois, but this blew me away for all the wrong reasons. I ordered Combo B, a white meat fried chicken sandwich with chips on the side. First things first, the bun was terrible. It tasted a day old and like it'd been in and out of the freezer. It was dry and it easily tore apart. Moving on to the chicken itself, it was barely warm, it wasn't crispy, and it the only real flavor was from the pickles and sauce. I wouldn't pay $10 for this if I had to eat it again, and yet I unfortunately shelled out over $20 for it the first time. Granted, of course I expect all food prices at the Staples Center to be inflated. But I'd have been far happier with even a typical Wendy's chicken sandwich and have gladly saved a few bucks for that.

High class fried chicken! This is in Staples Center, and is great if you don't want McDonalds or a hot dog or a pretzel or a [####](Name your stadium food vice).... They have chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, fried chicken and chicken bites. Their chicken bites are much better tasting than the Golden Arches. They don't have fries but they do have chips or a BISCUIT. OMG a biscuit slathered in honey. So delicious and sticky you must eat it with a fork! Visit LudoBird and your bad day will get better I promise! There are other places I like to eat at Staples too, but for the price you pay here you get a lot for your $$. Definitely give it a whirl!

I'm not saying it tasted bad... it was pretty good. But not really worth the price or the super long line in my opinion. We got the chicken sandwich with dark meat (on so many lists I've seen this as the best single food item in Staples Center). It was tasty, but I'm not saying that it's really much better than Chick-fil-A. Let me qualify that by saying Chick-fil-A is actually pretty darn good, so it's hard to beat it soundly in a chicken sandwich. It's also a little hard to eat. Instead of a single fried chicken patty, it's really two chicken strips inside of a bun. You have to have an unusually firm grip in order to keep both of them in the bun while you're eating, making a mess in your hand that is really unnecessary. And the biscuit... the KFC biscuit with honey is actually much better. It was pretty dry and hard. Maybe I got a bad one, but I can only talk about what I ate. Next time I'm probably going for the carne asada tacos across the aisle. But since so many other people like this place, probably something to try at least once.

Ok. I'm a fan of Trois Mec and Petit Trois, so was excited to eat some delicious chicken at the Staples Center. Oh boy. Ordered the original buttermilk $11.50. 2 tiny bite size pieces, served cold (see image)... server just laughed when I questioned how tiny it was. He agreed it was ridiculously small. Put pictures up to show customers what they are ordering. Charge $15, a little more and give a decent portion size. You know, a meal.. Zut allors Ludo - what a rip off...

I never really expect much from stadium food (ballpark food is a lot better), and the chicken here is a reflection of that. I ordered the chicken bites, and they were just okay. The chicken was not dry, however there wasn't much seasoning even though I had ordered them to be spicy. So if you order your chicken spicy, don't expect much.

Their spicy chicken strips as well as their special sauce are very good; however, being that it is located in the Staples Center makes it hard to enjoy for many reasons (it is hard to go often and it is a rip off. I paid about $17 for a bottle of water and 3 spicy strips). If it located outside of the Staples Center, I would most likely go more often and pay less in addition it would have a better rating. It is the yummy option at the arena. 3.5 stars rounded down cause of the price. Staff is nice.

I'm in love with Ludo and his Bird. A trip to the Staples Center is not complete without shoving a LudoBird chicken sandwich down my gob. I love fried chicken and this is perfection on a bun. Without a doubt, it's the best food in the place. The bearnaise sauce is such a lovely addition to the sandwich. I DREAM about this. If you haven't watched the episode of "Mind of a Chef" featuring Ludo talking about LudoBird, get thee to Netflix and watch how much love, care and attention went into the creation of this place. I simply adore this man and his food.

After walking around the Staples Center before a Lakers game looking at the food options, we decided to try LudoBird. Having heard about Ludo Lefebvre's chicken on his LudoTruck, I was anticipating great chicken. For arena food, it was good. The popcorn chicken bites were not fatty, nicely fried and crispy but they could've used more seasoning. The herbs were a nice touch but basic salt and pepper was non-existent. On the other hand, the homemade chips seemed to get all of the seasoning that the chicken lacked as they were so salty some chips were difficult to eat. They should go a little lighter on the Old Bay seasoning. As expected for arena food, the prices were very inflated. The honey lavender biscuit was $5 (vs. $1.50 on the truck) and the popcorn chicken bites were $11.50 and the chips were $3.50 (vs. $2.50 fries on the truck). One dipping sauce was complimentary and each additional one was $2. Two dollars!!! All in all, LudoBird has decent, kinda pricey food at the Staples Center. Don't bother with the chips but consider getting the biscuit which was dripping with honey and so delicious!

This place was pretty good. It's fried chicken and you either get nuggets, chic breast or boneless thighs depending on which dish you order. The strips are breast. The nuggets are dark meat. It was about $11-$12 just for the chicken. It's a lot of chicken tho. I liked it. I would return again. Service was fast, friendly, and helpful.

I didn't know there was a LudoBird inside Staples! Hungry at the Clippers game, I spied LudoBird and convinced my companion to go eat here (basically I said "we're eating here" lol). We shared a white meat fried chicken sandwich and a side of coleslaw. The chicken sandwich was very good! Chicken was was crispy and were more like chicken tenders versus a whole breast/patty, which was great and juicy and the greens in the sandwich were nicely dressed. The coleslaw was awesome! I've never had fresh jalapenos in coleslaw before and I loved it!! So fresh and crisp! Prices were a bit high, since we're inside Staples, but the food quality is much better than most of the options available. Yum!

I don't Care where my seats are at the Staples Center, I eat at Ludo's every Lakers Game. I took away only 1 Star for 2 reasons. 1. Sometimes it can take so long for them to read your number to pic up your food that's been sitting on the counter for 5 minutes that's it's Luke warm at Best (But it great even when it's cold, Spectacular when it piping Hot)! 2. The Heat/ Spice can be inconsistent.

After years of going to Staples Center, I have finally found a food stand inside that I actually like! LudoBird's buttermilk provencal chicken is tender and juicy. I like the flavors and the bernaise sauce is a perfect compliment. We weren't impressed by the honey lavender biscuit because it was hard and not flaky at all. Hopefully that is because of cook error because I have high expectations of Ludo's real food. The food is pricey but it's the Staples Center so not like that's a shock. The lines move relatively fast and the food comes out after a few minutes. I'll be coming back here often!

Probably the best thing I've ever had at staples center besides the drinks at the bar and my favorite, camachos nachos (don't judge!). I generally don't eat when I come to events here but that changed once I saw that Ludo was here. Split the chicken sandwich & a lavender biscuit with my friend. The lavender honey biscuit didn't live up to the expectations. it was entirely too sweet with the honey being the problem. I would have been much happier with just the lavender piece. The dark meat chicken sandwich was very, very delicious! My friend was being a hater but the second she tried this sandwich she quickly STFU :-) This is a great addition to the staples center and I will def. be back!

Okay this is probably the best place to eat in the Staples Center. Their chicken is really good but the real winner is the dessert. The ice cream sandwich was a foodgasm. It was a huge ice cream scoop in a milky salty caramel dripped powdered sugar filled bun. The dessert was the closest to heaven on Earth that one could be. This is definitely a must eat in the Staples. If you could only eat one thing at the Staples make sure the ice cream sandwich is the one you choose, you will thank me. We sat at 105 so it's to the left of that when you exit the section. We had at least 5 people stop us asking where we got this dessert. It tasted even better then it looked, it was amazing. I will sleep happy tonight knowing I had one. It was only like $4. The cheapest thing by far that you can buy at the Staples. Have fun eating! Ciao!

So glad the this opened up at Staples as a dining option. It is located on the lower level and I highly suggest you try it once. We try to go to games often and the same standard options have been less and less appealing over the years. It was an understatement to say I was stoked to see that Chef Ludo had opened up shop this season. My first time there I had to get "the original" buttermilk provencal fried chicken. I got the dark meat. $11-$12.50? It didnt disappoint. It was full of flavor. Perfectly battered with a smattering of herbs for seasoning. I opted for the ludo special sauce which reminded me of thousand island dressing kicked up a notch so I was happy. We also had the honey bbq wings. Crack! That was super good. That flavor was great. No dipping sauce needed... It was served piping hot. We actually had to wait for it to cool down before indulging. My last trip to Staples recently I wanted to order something different at LudoBird. I opted for a dark meat fried chicken sammich. The famous ones I always heard about from the truck but never got to sample. It was $12.50 and is served in a paper foil pouch. It's a hearty serving of the famous herb encrusted battered fried chicken. It 's encompassed in potato bread. The bread was nice & soft but my observation was it's too thin because it quickly fell apart as I was trying to eat it at my seat. The chicken is served with the ludo special sauce and pickles. It was tasty but just got a little too messy.. Good thing for the pouch cause it caught everything and after a while I was just picking at it. I also got the house made chips.. They were nothing special. Slightly salted potato chips. Smallish portion served in a paper tray. I probably would pass on it in the future... Looking forward to trying the popcorn chicken when I go back to Staples again next week. Go Lakers!!!

Located on the main floor of the Staples Center near by the Team Store. Didn't know about this place till Tim C. mentioned it and we went to check it out. They have a good selection of chicken types/flavors tried the honey garlic wings which was pretty good. I'd get this again when I'm at a Lakers game again.

Better than anything else at concessions in Staples, and possibly the best chicken strips I've ever had. They looked dry on the outside, but the batter was crispy, and the chicken was juicy. It was herby, with just the right amount of salt. I thought honey mustard was better than the ludo sauce. My son loves McDonald's nuggets, but now these are his favs. Finished them all.

This is regarding the store inside the stables center. Two stars for service. Service was horrible. It wasn't even packed or busy. They take your orders quick but when it's time to dish out your food it was very interesting. Foods were being mixed up An some orders were not even delivered. I stood 5 feet away from the young lady calling out the number an I couldn't hear her. Are you serious. Why put a girl who sounds like she's whispering when calling out your order number. Mind you, the game is going on in the back ground an it's loud. They need a better system controlling how the meals is being picked up.

Due to my new job, we are now living the high life with regular access to seats at Staples. We've been to LudoBird 2 times now-- and we're crazy about it! I get the same thing every time- chicken strips and coleslaw. I love the coleslaw because its not a mayo-based slaw, with chunks of jalapeno and celery-- very crunchy, and acidic due to the vinegar. It's refreshing and delicious. The strips are huge (3 each order- so I have no idea why other reviewers are saying they're small...?) and generously coated in breading/fried crunchy goodness. I always get spicy and they get a further dusting of spicy blend, which I love. The chicken is so juicy, too! I get a side of spicy bird sauce for dipping and it's so so good. My mancat got both of the chicken sandwiches- and he really liked them. He is also crazy about the biscuit! The price is high, sure, and the wait times are long, but it's Staples and the food is great.

1st of all - it's not easy to spot a good (and cheap) concession stand inside the Staple Center. With that being said, LudoBird is actually not a bad option. I will admit that food is a bit expensive here. I spent $20 for approximately $10 worth of food. Not only that, my cashier took a really long time to complete my order. However, I was just happy that their food actually tasted pretty decent. Buttermilk Provencal "The Original" Chicken (with Ludo Bird Special Sauce, $11.5) - Not as juicy as I thought, but it was crispy and a bit flavorful. For some reason, that Ludo Bird Special Sauce tasted a bit like ... ketchup (sweet and sour). Ludo Slaw ($3.5) - Ludo slaw? Basically it's another name for "crunchy jalapenos salad". Not too bad. Honey Lavender Biscuit ($5.0) - Can't really tasted the lavender flavor, but I like the idea! For food, it's a solid 3.5-star. This concession stand probably sells the most unique food out of all other stands. I might actually try the actual food truck (LudoTruck) for a better experience.

I come to the Staples Center often for either a basketball, hockey or WWE event so LudoBird has become my go to. Even with Premier seats with in seat food serving, I still walk down to get that great tasting chicken sandwich. The prices are up there but you're in the Staples Center. Their spicy seasoning just takes it to the top. It is a big serving of chicken so you can get full. Oh and don't forget the biscuit.. just wow!

I am a big fan of Ludo and I was excited to try his chicken spot during a Laker game. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I got the pop corn chicken. It was moist on the inside and the batter was crispy. However, the chicken lacked flavor. The chicken was just very bland. I couldn't taste anything beside the subtle flavor of the rosemary. I would probably give the Ludo bird another chance, hopefully by then they will seasoned their chicken a bit better.

Coming to a Los Angeles Kings game means I get to roam around Staples Center during game intermissions. Well, not really roam around because I knew I was definitely going to make a bee line for LudoBird. The only stinking problem in Staples Center is when you have Premiere seats, there are only two ways to get downstairs to the first floor. So getting up at a 2 minute penalty wasn't enough. After asking a few of the ushers, I have finally found LudoBird but now with a few long lines. I didn't mind the wait because it gave me time to look over the menu and try to decide what to get. Oh crap, front of the line........umm, ummm, I will get the honey garlic wings and fried chicken sandwich, dark meat upon request. I'm requesting, I even asked if this is a lot of food to order the wings and sandwich, the lady said it is enough to share. The wings are the full wings and not the little ones and the sandwich is a regular size sandwich. I wanted to order the slaw but the lady pointed out it was already in the sandwich. Ok, great!! That's it, oh, and a beer. ha ha Just the food came out to about $23, I would have paid that much for a hot dog or burger of some kind. When I brought it all back to my seat, the game had just resumed with the second period. Watching the action and asking if anyone wanted to try the wings, everyone said they were good. More food for me! I don't know if you can see the pictures I posted but these are huge ass wings. 4 giant wings smothered in honey, drowning in honey, glistening under the lights. That was a good appetizer but for some it was a meal. I start on the sandwich which also gets messy because there is sauce all in it. I don't know how I didn't get it all over my lap but this is better than your average chicken sandwich. A little bit of spicy, a little bit of tangy, a little bit of crunch, a little bit cold too but it was still that good. Items Selected: Buttermilk Provencal - The Original with Bearnaise Housemade Chips Ludo Sweet and Salty Ice Cream Sandwich Having last eaten arena food at Staples Center on January 20th, 2007 when the Kings retired #20 to the rafters - an unmemorable plate of sushi in Club Level Seats - it seemed only appropriate to end a nearly 8 year streak as the team prepared to hang Rob Blake's Number 4, a quick perusal while wandering the lowering ring after a visit to TeamLA quickly finding me in line at Ludo Lefebvre's Ludobird - the fast-food style service perfunctory, at best, but the three strips of chicken somehow managing to justify the $11.50 tab. Well culled in menu, with most items based on those offered at the Celebrity Chef's roaming food truck, it was clearly a trainee that took my order and after twice asking his manager which buttons to press in order to process my order a crisp $20 was exchanged for a ticket - the numbers called out at the other end of the counter where several patrons waited, the entire process taking place in just under ten minutes after which a standing-room-only table was allocated next to a nearby bar. Admittedly disappointed that highly praised lavender biscuits were not available, but happy to partake in hand sliced chips aggressively spiced and salted with hardly a hint of oil, it was onward to the signature bird that the tasting quickly progressed and with each strip intensely crisp over well brined bird the sidecar of sauce was almost unnecessary - the 'almost' qualification no slight, however, as the creamy béarnaise was better than that served at most restaurants and an instant upgrade to almost anything it touched, particularly the aforementioned fried spuds. Obviously not one to forgo dessert, particularly not one so whimsical as a true "ice cream sandwich," it was finally in one of Ludo's signature Sweet and Salty compositions that the meal would end and although forced to consume the melting amalgam faster than I'd have preferred due to the toasty, warm bun the juxtaposition of heat and cold was a treat in-and-of itself while the tried n' true caramel notes were every bit as good as those experienced at Sweet Rose or Salt & Straw - and certainly a whole lot better than one would expect from a concourse elsewhere in the NHL.

Great seasoning on the breading. Good crunch. Not too oily. spicy sauce was delicious. Pickles and slaw were fresh. The quality of the chicken however was not good at all. I had two bites with cartilage and the cut was a little rubbery. Quality control needs a smack in the ass.

Bottom line at the top: best 'stadium' food, 3.5 rounded up. You can pay for overpriced CPK/hot dogs or you can get this. -- My friends and I had the chicken strips with the spicy Ludo sauce (3 pieces to an order), the honey lavender biscuit, popcorn chicken with piquillo pepper sauce, and the salty and sweet ice cream sandwich. The chicken has great herbes de Provence and everything looks nice instead of sloppy. The guy sitting behind us literally tapped us on the shoulder to ask us where our food was from. The only disappointment was the ice cream sandwich. I was expecting cookies and ice cream but we got like hamburger buns and vanilla ice cream and caramel and salt. It was still good but I didn't literally expect a sandwich.

Ate here whilst at Staples Center based on the high reviews, but what a mistake. The food was nasty. Horrible. The worst I ever had. Ordered the chicken strips. Barely any chicken. All fried breading. Some chicken. Some fat. Gross. I felt so sick from eating here, probably from the fried nastiness. Even thinking about it makes my stomach hurt. Avoid.

During my first time at Staples Center and I was pretty excited to try this spot out as it came from the mastermind of Chef Ludo Lefebvre. This spot is located inside the Staples Center across for Aisle 119 on the main level. Chef Ludo and his fried chicken did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, although on the costly side. Taste of the food was very flavorful: Honey Lavender Biscuit - soft and tastes how it sounds. Approx. $5. Fried Chicken Sandwich - potato bread, pickles, and pieces of the fried chicken. Yummy, but bread is thin so it can easily fall apart. Approx. $12. Buttermilk Provencal Fried Chicken Strips Dark Meat - Crispy and the batter around the fried chicken is great. The actual chicken is tender and thick. This option comes in white meat too. Approx. $12 Original Buttermilk Provencal Fried Chicken - Crispy and good too, but I prefer the strips. Not too big of a difference between the taste of the original and the strip. Approx. $12. Ludo Slaw - Jalapenos! Very spicy and not creamy. This is my favorite side. Approx. $4 Chips - basically fried potato chips, they were okay. Probably won't get this again. Approx. $5 My two reasons for why I took off a star: 1. Prices - kinda of costly (3 pieces of chicken strips for $12?!) But once you accept all food prices at Staples Center are inflated, this isn't so bad. 2. Sauces - The spicy sauce wasn't very spicy However, this restaurant is probably the best bang for your buck at the Staples Center. It's a must try! Your tongue and tummy won't be disappointed! I will definitely return to this spot anytime I am at the Staples Center. Totally worth paying $3 more from a so-so hot dog to get a delicious meal to enjoy your game with.

Just got to the Lakers vs Pelicans game and was pretty hungry. Usually when hungry most things taste delicious. My buddy ordered the chicken sandwich combo and I got the chicken strips and chips. My friend said his sandwich was gross and the chicken had no flavor. My chicken strips were terrible. The batter wasn't fully cooked and the chicken tasted like cardboard. It had absolutely no flavor. I'm a season ticket holder and I pretty sure I will ever eat at this place again. Staples needs to step their game up with food in the concourse. I've been to other nba arenas and the food is much better.
