Best Pizza in New York City | Eater NY

"Luigi’s opened in 1973 in the same well-worn premises near Green-Wood Cemetery. And now, it’s run by Gio Lanzo, whose father-founder Luigi died a few years ago. The pizza is still being made the same way it has been for the last 51 years. Don’t miss: Get a grandma-slice broccoli rabe pizza, a white pie, or a regular pizza with fresh mozzarella or vodka sauce. Restaurant closes at 9:30 p.m. most nights." - Eater Staff

Best Pizza Slices in New York City, According to Eater Editors | Eater NY

"While the future of New York’s old-school slice shop hangs in balance, as they try to keep up with the new players, the ones that do it best know that consistency is key. Luigi’s Pizza, open since 1973 in South Slope, is run by Gio Lanzo, the son of its late founder Luigi, who has kept the recipe the same all these years later." - Emma Orlow

$64 for two pizzas (one Hawaiian, one buffalo chicken and bacon) is absolutely RIDICULOUS. NO pizza is worth that much, and especially not this one. I'd be more than happy to pay the price if it actually tasted that amazing but it was some of the most bland pizza I've ever had. Placing an order on the phone was annoying too, I spoke fluent English and Spanish and apparently they still couldn't understand what I was ordering. For $64 the service should at least be stellar and it isn't. Absolutely not worth the price

Best slice in NYC. It can’t get better when you’re able to eat it right when it comes out of the oven.

Ordered take out for the supreme meat pizza which was 18”. You could tell they didn’t skimp on the toppings. For 26$ I would say this was worth the price. I also got a side of ranch and marinara sauce the portions for the marinara sauce were good, but for the ranch they basically gave us 1/3 of the plastic cup.

This is one of my fav spots to grab pizza. You don’t have to wait in line for hours, if you are hungry, you can just walk in and grab a slice to go. The pizza is freshly made. I love the mozerella pizza as well as pepperoni pizza. This restaurant was also feature on barstool!

Worst Pizzaria in all of brooklyn literally. Delivery took 1 hour 30 mins to deliver a pie 2 blocks. Extremely rude staff giving excuse after excuse. Last order was never even delivered and never got a refund for it. Reporting business for doing fraudulent business. DONT RECOMMEND STAY AWAY 0/5 Rating

Google
An excellent slice spot. It is worth trying a slice of mamas and fresh mozzarella to get both styles. The owner was working when we stopped by and had loads of stories for us while we ate.
