10 Phenomenal Lobster Dishes in South Florida

"Lobster is bathed in curry and mixed with baby corn, bamboo shoots, and Thai eggplant at this Brickell newcomer, offering an interesting take on a lobster dish. Spices add aroma entree, which pair nicely with one of the brewery’s beers such as the 33 Pale Ale, Hallo Schatzi, or the Legend Lager." - Juliana Accioly

Google
Yes, Luke’s is a chain. It’s all over the country. But it’s for good reason. It’s consistent. Delicious. Expensive - but that’s even in the Northeast, where lobster runs. If you’re looking for a good lobster roll, and nostalgia for Maine/Boston, I highly recommend. I do like their seasoning and light mayo. It’s not too heavy and flavorful.

Google
Located on the second floor of Brickell City Centre, this small joint specializes in lobster rolls and does them really well. The menu is focused but solid, lobster rolls were excellent, and the clam chowder was especially good. A great spot to grab a quick.

Hussam Bukhari

Google
This is easily one of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. Really good! Great portions and the bread is soft! I approve! 👏🏻 $$$ (It’s a bit pricey to be fair but you get what you pay for!)

I came all the way to the third floor of this shopping center in Brickell with a craving for lobster. I may have had my expectations too high but the food was just alright. Wasn’t bad wasn’t great just alright especially for the price that it was. I left semi satisfied and still a little hungry. The service was great. There was no line and nobody in the store. I only waited about 2 minutes for my food. I ordered the lobster roll and my girlfriend had the crab roll. She had never had crab before so her standards are now set a little below that of mine. There was pleanty of open nice seating both inside and out all very cool on a warm Miami day. The music inside was a little loud but overall the experience was good. Good easy meal very quick if you just need a small bite of lobster and don’t want to get too dressed up for a nice dinner.

**About the Location:** Luke Lobsters is conveniently nestled inside the bustling City Center in Miami, providing easy access with available parking in the garage. The restaurant itself is neat and clean, creating a pleasant atmosphere for dining; however, it tends to be somewhat empty, which can make the experience feel a bit isolated. The staff members are friendly and notably helpful, adding a welcoming and approachable vibe to the place. **About the Food:** The seafood flight offered at Luke Lobsters showcases a variety of meats, including half rolls of lobster, crab, and shrimp. The ingredients are noteworthy: the lobster meat is fresh, sourced directly from Maine, and the crab meat hails from Quebec's Jonah crab. The presentation is appealing, but all the rolls arrived cold, which was unexpected and somewhat disappointing as I anticipated them to be at least lukewarm. The lobster and crab were enjoyable, though the shrimp didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Overall, while the quality of the seafood is commendable, there’s room for improvement in terms of serving temperature and shrimp flavor for a more satisfying experience. A solid 3-star rating reflects the mix of positives and areas for growth.

I’ve been coming here for years and all the rolls are always amazing, especially with the truffle butter. A staple!

Valeria Escrich

Google
The lobster with the spiciest seasoning wasn’t actually spicy, but out of the three options we tried, the lobster was definitely the best. The staff was friendly and cheerful, which was a nice touch. Prices are high but reasonable for the area. Inside, there’s no real ambiance or experience—it’s just about the food, and that’s it.

Google
It’s an okay place if you’re craving New England lobster, crab, or shrimp rolls. Conveniently located in Brickell City Center, it’s a good option for a quick bite.

Yelp
We were starved after a super long delay waiting on the metro rail thingy. I ran in to grab a lobster roll to hold us over. Service was fast, as I was the only person in when I ordered. I ordered the lobster roll, 6 oz. Honestly, the meat was a bit more chewy than I would have preferred. It was tasty, but the texture to me felt like it was from frozen. I didn't take a pic because of how hungry we were but if I were in Brickell again, I would try them again. I could easily drop $100 and be unbothered just to try the different things I saw. Small space, but definitely sufficient given the overall location.

Yelp
Friendly service and super good! I got the sampler with 3 mini sandwiches-lobster and shrimp. They were the perfect size. The store itself is a little small, but there are plenty of tables around to eat.

Yelp
Robert and William are great and so friendly! Menu has great options if you want to try a variety, we ordered the flight and trio to try more of the menu. Very flavorful and worth the price.

Yelp
Excellent LOBSTA roll sourced from Portland, Maine. Not a common thing to find n the miami area but glad it's here to satisfy my cravings! It's more fast food where service is fast. There's not that many seats in the restaurant so it's definitely meant for in and out. Overall the lobster, sauce in the roll and the bread used to make it is excellent which is only reason why I come here!

Yelp
Amazing rolls and service, def recommend! We had the lobster rolls, clam chowder and lobster bisque, so good.

Yelp
Louis and Jared provided outstanding customer service, enhancing the overall dining experience. The freshness and delectable taste of the food further highlighted their commitment to excellence. A commendable blend of top-notch service and delightful flavors.

Yelp
Food: - Truffle Butter Lobster Roll 10/10: I got the smaller size and this was sooo good. The lobster cuts were pretty big. - Lobster Mac N Cheese: 10/10 this was so creamy and delish. Portions: I would say I finished all of this and I was hella hungry. Left feeling satisfied but not overly full! Service: 10/10 Friendly and gave us a lot of recommendations! :)

Yelp
Last week I was at Lucky Lukes's in the Brickell center and was so very disappointed that I wrote about it on YELP and Trip Advisor. Within hours Willie contacted me and invited us to come again, which we did at lunch today. Well, it was better than perfect, the lobster was clean, no powdery spices, just a fresh wonderful Ocean taste with a bit of butter on a brioche roll. It was cool and not semi frozen and with a coleslaw salad and a Perrier water it made for a perfect lunch! Thank you.

Yelp
This place is located on the third floor of Brickell City Center shopping mall. It's a casual, small joint with only 3-4 tables. My boyfriend and I ordered the jumbo lobster roll and the seasonal soup, which was a lobster bisque, to share. They packed in lots of fresh lobster and the bread was toasted with butter. Yum! We enjoyed our lobster-filled lunch!

Yelp
I've been coming here for a few years - and have never had a bad meal! My favorite thing to order is the Luke's Trio; you get half a roll of crab, shrimp and lobster, but you obviously can't go wrong with just ordering a lobster roll. We've also tried the poppyseed slaw and the lobster bisque - both excellent! Beyond a great, casual meal, Luke's Lobster is sustainably sourced and is a certified B Corp (an extremely high certification that proves the company cares about social and environmental good, and not just profit). They can even tell you exactly where the lobster you're eating was caught!

Yelp
5-star ambience 5-star food 5-star service...hey' that's a solid 5-stars across the board. Little hole-in-the-wall side hallway lobster bar with fantastic food and amazingly friendly service, right inside my favorite shopping mall, Brickell City Center. 5-star ambience. The faux-divey rural hole-in-the-wall motif works surprisingly well in the middle of a futuristic shopping mall. It's away from the main traffic pattern of the mall, and even has quiet tables outside in the hallway. Parking at the BCC deck is pricey, and on-street parking?... fuggetaboutit in this neighborhood. This part of Brickell can also be a nightmarish traffic jam, especially on weekends. However, as a special bonus Luke's Lobster is right by the end of the hallway near the Metromover (suggestion: park elsewhere for free and take the Metromover right into the upper level of Brickell City Center, then walk 50 feet to Luke's). 5-star food. The star of this show is the lobster, but they have a small menu with a variety of other seafood. There's even a little chalkboard to tell you where the crustaceans came from (these ain't ya small little spiny Florida lobsters, papi : ) I've almost always gotten their lobster roll combo with some form of chowder and a drink. It's been perfect every time. Their prices aren't cheap, but seem fair, especially given the pricey real estate. Fun side note: our cat, little princess that she is, goes completely nuts over a tiny piece of lobster from here. 5-star service. Everyone who works here seems sweet, funny and helpful. For a relatively busy place in a high-traffic mall, they always add a little smile and a personal touch. There's never even a tiny hint of Miami 'tude. Small example: the most recent trip the staffer at the register had gotten extensions, and we had a long funny conversation about how to whip your new long curls back and forth for no good reason, other than to look like Diana Ross in concert.

Yelp
Being a fanatic of lobster rolls in Miami is tough, because their isn't too many places with great lobster rolls. So then I met Luke's lobsters in brickell city centre!!!!!!!!! the lobster texture is just perfect on a toasted bun, the lobster is soft, buttery, and full of taste. A little pricey but worth it!!!!! Service is quick and staff is nice!!!! Place is a little small inside.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Luke's in Vegas forever, but still haven't made that happen. So when I was researching for my Miami trip, I found Luke's was there! I made it a priority to try it out. Its a cute little spot inside the Brickell City Center outdoor mall on the 3rd floor. They have about 6 tables inside and a few shared tables outside. Luckily we got there just before the closing rush, but didn't get everything we wanted because they are in the process of changing the menu (no more Spicy Mala or Truffle Butter flavors). We did get their staples though. Luke's Trio - 3 portions of half size 2 oz rolls with lobster, shrimp or crab. The seafood is super fresh!! They all came with the lemon butter, mayo, and secret seasoning on a toasted buttered roll. We didn't love the seasoning, but the seafood was VERY fresh! Lobster Bisque - this was pretty good, I liked the flavor, the portion was a good size, and there were huge chunks of lobster Lobster Mac & Cheese - it was more mac & bisque, than cheese. It had a good flavor with chunks of lobster, but not cheesy enough Located at the outdoor mall on the 3rd floor. From the parking garage, go directly to 3rd floor, then look for the directory for directions. Service was quick & friendly. Recommended!

Yelp
This lobster sandwich is hands-down the best sandwich you can get in Miami. I will die on this hill. The 4oz Lobster Roll is perfect size for lunch, the lobster is not drenched in mayo, and the bread is not a typical Northeast-style bready roll. It is more like thin Texas toast (hard to describe but ... just omfg)

Adrian V.

Yelp
There's extremely racist guy taking the order. The guy was offensive about my hispanic accent and made comments stating he can get use to the latino accent. He was also very aggressive stating he is from AMERICA. Yes this can still happen in Miami where a huge percentage of people is not native American. Imagine having to eat a food prepared for the same person you just have this incident. Of course it was impossible to enjoy my food. If you're hispanic or have an accent just stay away from this place.

Min C.

Yelp
The lobster roll was good! Like the location, you can do shopping at the same time. Just a little too pricey.

Yelp
The lobster roll and bisque was amazing but Louis made my experience a 10/10. He was very attentive and such a bright light to my mid day lunch run. He made sure to get me napkins when i needed it and cleaned my table promptly. Service was exceptional!

Sebastian A.

Yelp
Louis, Gabby and Jake were awesome. Food was great too! Louis was awesome great energy!

Will L.

Yelp
Great food, lobster sandwich & snow crab rolls are amazing! Louis attention and recommendation is first class

Paul C.

Yelp
Great food. We had the chowder and bisque plus a trio roll. Super tasty. Well done Gabby for cooking it and Louis for brilliant service with a smile

Yelp
Update: after posting my review, I very soon after was contacted by the GM from Luke's to investigate what happened. He took down a ton of details and said that anytime a complaint about food safety is made, the company takes things very seriously and does an investigation. Nice, I thought-- I've gotten sick over the years from various restaurants or left reviews and either was never contacted or was told that there would be some significant follow up and there wasn't. Fast forward a few weeks, I left the country for a bit and when I came back I was truly surprised to have received a personal voicemail from none other than Luke of Luke's Lobster. We spoke today and he told me the pains they went through to investigate the incident and also apologized and offered to comp my meal and an opportunity to make things up to me if I were to come back to the store. While it was not a great night, I will say this that I'm completely blown away by their attention to the matter and customer service. I'm not sure when, but I'd definitely give this location another try.

Yelp
Fresh and just what we needed before the movies. I got the 4oz hot honey butter lobster roll and my boyfriend got the 6oz. A 4oz. was more than enough for me so a 6oz was LOADED. Clean spot, helpful staff and fresh and buttery soft rolls.
google avatar

Londa K.

Yelp
This is for delivery. I'm so confused by the other reviews and photos. I wish I took pictures. I had the lobster roll, lobster bisque and clam chowder. The lobster, though plentiful, was very dry and tasteless. The roll was the best part. The bisque and chowder were so watery--looked nothing like the pictures I am seeing here. The bisque had ONE chunk of lobster and had a decent flavor, but was super thin. The clam chowder was an off-putting gray. It at least had a good amount of clams and potatoes, but again the broth was so thin. Maybe it was a bad day.

Christine M.

Yelp
Luis at the counter is the best! He is so friendly and knowledgeable to get your exact flavor preference in lobster rolls!
google avatar

Eddie P.

Yelp
I stopped by here to get something quick to eat and I am so glad I did. This was the best lobster roll I've ever had. You can tell they use fresh good quality lobster. I wanted to try the lobster Mac n cheese but they were out. So I had the lobster grilled cheese and it hit the spot too.

Yelp
Lou the cashier was very helpful with helping me chose my meal. I had the lobster roll and it was delicious. He went above and beyond with making me feel comfortable. I will be coming back!

Yelp
Being from New England initially, finding a spot that serves excellent lobster rolls is a challenge. Not that you can't find places here in South Florida that serve decent ones, but there are few and far between. To my surprise, Luke's Lobster is one of the few that does it well, located in Brickell City Center of all the places. Situated on the second floor on the east side of the Brickell City Center, Luke's Lobster offers super tasty New England-style lobster rolls that are savory, satisfying, and won't leave you hungry. While they do offer shrimp and crab rolls as well, my stomach always goes for the lobster ones, especially, asking a jumbo roll because it's 50% more meat. If you work or live in the Brickell area, making the rounds to Luke's Lobster is a must if you have a craving for lobster rolls, especially the jumbo ones.

Jackson R.

Yelp
The food was great. Louis is the man! Definitely recommend the lobster and crab rolls.

Yelp
Update: 10/4/19 Wow this place is really amazing. I haven't been here in awhile but knew that I would be eating here coming to the Brickell City Center. Luke's Lobster does not disappoint !!!!! Everything is so high quality and fresh. I strongly recommend a visit here and enjoy one of their lobster rolls. They have other items like crab and shrimp but if you're coming here go for that lobster. They do have combos which you can chose soup of the day, salad, or chips and any drink. The staff here is super nice and welcoming. The establishment is clean and inviting. Oh by the way management do not change a thing!!!! So what are you freaking waiting for go grab a lobster roll or two or three or four. ***** Original review below First time here and it is absolutely amazing. Fresh, delicious, fast and everyone that loves lobster needs to come and give this place a try. I will be back again and again excel

Yelp
It is what it is! The bread is always buttery and warm and the lobster is always fresh. I wouldn't mind if there were some seasoning variations from time to time - just to spice things up.

Yelp
As a former New Yorker, I was introduced and became fond of Luke's Lobster. Was super excited and have been a regular patron since this downtown Miami location in Brickell City Centre opened. It's kind of my 'Cheers' as the staff knows me by face and is always friendly. Although South Florida has fresh catch direct from the Atlantic Ocean there is just something to "taste the source" of this fast casual chain and it's perfectly buttery #lobsterroll. The wild blue salad is delicious and transports you to summer on the Vineyard or any of the NE beach towns. Limited edition lobster mac and cheese and lobster grilled cheese are great changeups from the roll. No matter how it's served it's Maine fave! Yelp
Luke's lobster is the place where you Can get quality lobster rolls and New England vibes. I was craving a good ole lobster roll and had to go have a try at the brickell location. I had tried Luke's in New York and loved it. The brickell location was no different. I ordered a jumbo lobster roll with a side of lobster bisque. Both were great and lived up to my expectations. It is pretty pricy but my roll had a good amount of lobster meat, and when is lobster ever cheap ?? I will be back to Luke's for some more on another occasion !
google avatar

Yelp
I've been wanting to come visit Luke Lobster for a while and on Sunday I was finally able to. Entering the restaurant I wasn't too sure what to expect. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. I was disappointed to find out that the sea food meat on the rolls were cold. But I still wanted to try it anyways. I had the trio (lobster roll, crab roll and shrimp roll) with a side of coleslaw and a corn lobster chowder. The trio was very good even though the seafood meat is cold. The coleslaw has this poppy seed dressing. It's different but I thought it was very good. The lobster corn chowder was great! Loved it! The trio plate is smaller then what I had expected. It look a little more food to fill me up. All this was 27 dollars. Very pricey for something that won't fill you up. My husband had the lobster roll and regular chowder. The chowder was very good too. Lots of flavors. The roll is bigger than one trio roll but you'll get more sea food meat with the trio. Our meals also include two drinks. I haven't found something like Luke's around in Miami so it's worth trying to have something new and different. I would like to find something more price friendly and bigger portions.
google avatar

Jaime L.

Yelp
Pricey with a diminutive menu and even smaller dining room, seating maybe twenty people in a very cramped space. Be warned, the air conditioner is cranked at max, bring a jacket. With that said, delicious lobster, shrimp and crab rolls with extra fresh seafood from cold waters up north, served in perfectly toasted, buttered up buns. A real treat!
google avatar

Sheyla G.

Yelp
I always wondered why this place was so popular and I have to say omg it was so delish. There's so many items to choose from I got a bit flustered lol, I wanted it all. Well the lobster and crab rolls were delish and the lobster bisque did not disappoint with pieces of lobster inside just what I needed. Next time the owner suggested we have the truffle lobster Roll and so we will, stay tuned.
google avatar

Alberto W.

Yelp
Im very impressed with the quality of the food , to be a "fast good " place, flavors on point I had the lobster bisque and crab roll honestly so good . And the service fast and neat congrats
google avatar

Vanessa P.

Yelp
Lukes hits a particular craving I get every now and again. When I want a lobster roll and I am nowhere near New England area, this is the next best thing for me. Yes, it is a little expensive for a not very filling meal, but it's delicious. I have to spend about an hour in the mall while my car charges so this is definitely a go-to spot that won't make you stay longer that you intended if you're supercharging like me. I tried the lobster grilled cheese out of pure curiosity and it was pretty filling! Toasted bread, white cheddar slices, and spread out lobster makes for an interesting combination. My fav is still their lobster roll, I highly recommend!
google avatar

Ambar C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. It's small and cozy and feels like it belongs up north in New England! I like that they bring that vibe to Miami. The options are straight forward. Lobster Rolls are the must! But they also have soups and salads and the occasional seasonal dish.. .. like the lobster Mac and cheese which was great! The downside....small portions! I mean ok it's a satisfying lunch but I could definitely eat like double the portions... also it's not cheap ...the prices are a bit high but I understand it's fresh seafood. Have the lobster roll, it's really an experience if you have never had one before. It is really super fresh delicious lobster...think more like a salad...cold with like mayo. All that is piled up inside a deliciously toasted warm soft roll. Get the chips and slaw... it really makes the whole dish.
google avatar

Alexa C.

Yelp
How could you not immediately be gravitated towards the Luke's Trio with a side soup and drink? It's basically the most conclusive entree served here. I went for the clam chowder and a soda as I dug into each buttery roll prepared in this triangle of greatness. While the serving was a bit on the small side, the taste certainly wasn't. Ordering at the counter was a breeze and my order was prepared quickly as I grabbed a table and bit into the bag of chips I grabbed. You're almost enticed to download their app since it will earn you incentives towards future meals here based on your purchases aside from having facilitated online ordering options as well. I guess it's safe to say, they're my "Maine squeeze" when it comes to quick and buttery lobster rolls. It really recreates that New England experience with their appetizing concoctions all showcasing my favorite red crustacean. It's a bit on the pricey side but worth it if you're really into Lobster rolls. It's a solid choice for a hearty lunch while in the Brickell area.
google avatar

Yelp
Lobster is one of my favorite food groups and there is never a bad time to go into a happy lobster induced food coma. You can't go wrong with any of the three staple rolls but the lobster roll is always the best! Their seafood is sourced from Maine and they work with some really reputable organizations to ensure that their seafood is the best of the best. Although the rolls looked small, they were really well made, nicely buttered, very generously stuffed with large pieces of great lobster meat perfectly cooked and sprinkled with their secret seasoning powder. I'm not a bread person, but their bread was really buttery and seasoned well. The lobster was chilled to the right temperature where it did not feel cold and off balanced with the toasted bun. They all went together nicely. I nearly forgot that I wasn't somewhere in the New England area when I was having their lobster. The staff here are nice and friendly. It's a good place to stop by to grab a quick lunch and Luke's Lobster gets the job done. The space at Luke's Lobster Brickell is pretty small, maybe a maximum of 15 people, not a very good place for big party. But the interior was decked out in eye catching decor pieces plastered on every inch of the walls. And they cater! They are also at a very strategic location in Brickell City Center, so it is easy to stop here and then head to wherever else it is you need to go.
google avatar

Derick D.

Yelp
The seafood is extremely fresh and delicious. The seafood, lobster, crab, and shrimp are served chilled. The rolls are buttered and toasted to perfection. The amount of seafood per roll is perfect. I understand why people think it's expensive. But, you're getting high end restaurant quality food without waiting and having to leave tip. I think the portions are a lot better than other reviewers are stating as well. The concept is great. The food is fresh and delicious. Food is prepared quickly. No complaints. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Tara T.

Yelp
Oh. My. God. Had the lobster roll and it was UNBELIEVABLE!! I was torn between getting the 3 sampler including shrimp, lobster, and crab, or the lobster roll alone and I was beyond happy I chose the lobster roll alone. The lobster was cooked to perfection, and I'm drooling just thinking about how good it tasted. The roll was crispy and went perfectly with the lobster. Only problem was the size for the price. A regular lobster roll was smaller than a 6inch sub from subway. And the price was $18. I really wish it was more affordable. Way too overpriced. However, I will say the taste was worth it. I'd recommend anyone to go try one. But beware, you'll probably still be hungy after 1 roll.
google avatar

K.p P.

Yelp
This is a really amazing place and they were nice and gave good service. I like the way they do the lobster rolls here without a lot of Mayo. My favorite roll was the crab then the lobster roll The shrimp roll was ok. I think I would really love to go there again. Robert was super helpful and friendly.
google avatar

Christian D.

Yelp
I had the lobster roll flight with lemon butter, Mike's hot honey and white truffle butter. All three were delicious. I thought the over all size of the roll was a little small for the price but the taste was 10/10.
google avatar

Alicia S.

Yelp
Having tried a lobster roll for the first time (ever), I honestly don't have much experience to compare it to anything else. Although extremely delicious I did find the lobster roll to be the equivalent in size of that of a small hot dog. And for $20 (yes it comes with chips and coleslaw) ... I did leave a bit hungry. The flavor was insane however I wish the portions were bigger. With that said, I would go back. It was THAT good.
google avatar

Jamie D.

Yelp
Their clam chowder was really good, so as their lobster bisque. I also enjoyed their crab sandwich.. just wow. The staff are very friendly. Fast service too.
