Google
I visited New York and specifically Grand Central twice before, but i had never used the Dining Concourse, so I'm glad I found Luke's. I opted for sit at the bar service and had the crab sandwich. It was so nice, there's different price points depending on how much meat you want. In my opinion the $20 sandwich is more than sufficient. It's nice to sit at the bar and watch the world go by whilst you tuck into some good food. Oh, and the service is brilliant, really friendly, engaging staff.

I needed something quick to eat for my train ride , I went with Luke’s lobster. Staff/service no complaints there , all staff was polite and kind. I ordered the crab roll , with white truffle butter. The crab meat was an extremely cold , the bread was cold as well. I really wish it was warmer or I had time to go back and get a more fresh one . All good the amount of crab meat was generous. It was decent cold so I’m sure it’s so so much better warm . Next time I’ll try again.

Google
It was delicious! My sister and I ordered the lobster flight and the snow crab roll. I highly recommend both because they were perfect portion sizes for us and stuffed with crab and lobster. Definitely will be back!

Google
This was an absolutely lovely surprise! The best lobster rolls I have had far and away in the middle of a train station. The roll sampler was fresh, featured three equally delicious flavors, and was a generous serving for $40. Extremely impressed and glad we decided to stop by!

Google
First time trying Luke's and we were very pleased . Tried their Mainer which comes with a 6 oz lobster roll and chips , New England clam chowder and a soft drink . The lobster roll was great with large fresh pieces of lobster filled in a buttery toasted roll. It was delicious and filling and they don't skimp on the lobster. Clam chowder was great too with nice chunks of clams and potatoes with crackers and your choice of chips and drink. Well worth a visit. Delicious. Loved it. Will definitely be back.

Google
Wow, I just went here on a whim for my lunch break and it was delicious. Great chowder, great roll, kind service. No skimping on the roll, either—it was loaded. Highly recommend.

Google
Wow! These lobster rolls are absolutely delicious! If you come to New York City, definitely try Luke’s lobster. You can either choose shrimp, two types of crab or lobster. your seafood choice is served in a soft, garlic toasty bun. Also, it’s not a hot food item It’s mostly cold, except the bun that will be warm. but it taste fantastic. Definitely definitely recommend trying them at least once. Also, the prices are not the greatest but the taste definitely justifies the price.

Google
I really enjoyed the shrimp roll (4 oz) and lobster soup. I took smaller options and it was more than enough. Chips were included. Service was extremely fast. I would definitely return and try others rolls.

Qin Z.

Yelp
Service is fast and they have their own seating. You have to try out the lobster roll flight. Each one is equally delicious, sweet, and fresh. You cannot go wrong with any of the lobster roll here. Also the clam chowder is just as good. 5/5 delicious!

Yelp
Need a quick expensive break from the crazy homeless people in Grand Central? Craving seafood? This is the place for you. Situated in the middle of the dining concourse is Luke's Lobster. Friendly staff and familiar seafood from their other locations. It always delicious. Order your food and go in the closed off seating for only customers. People watch for entertainment. You sit here long enough you will see something crazy. Anyways I really like all the rolls, especially the lobster and crab rolls! Buttery and sweet on that hot bread. You have to pair it with the blueberry soda! It's the best option imo!

Yelp
This was my dining experience from This is my third time eating at a Luke's Lobster Restaurant. I previously ate at the LL in Boston then LL in DC and now this one in NYC @GCT. Located in the center of the Grand Concourse Level of Grand Central Terminal, East 42nd Street, it has a bar seating area and ample tables. Public Transportation or Parking: There are metered parking on the street but it is difficult to find a spot during peak business hours. They are private parking garages but it is expensive. Your best bet is to take public transportation such as the subway, LIRR or Metro North to this location. Ordering & Seating: I ate here on a Monday after peak hours (7 pm ish) so there was no line to order & no wait for seating. You have two options to order in line at the cashier or have table service at their bar. I ordered at the cashier and was given a table card with a number. It took about 10 - 15 minutes for my food to be delivered to my table. Food: I ordered Lobster Flight Sampler (6 oz total). It came with three 2oz mini lobster rolls: lemon butter, spicy honey butter, and truffle butter. The lobster and the roll tasted fresh. However the lemon butter roll lacked excitement on my palate. The spicy honey butter and truffle butter has more depth in flavor. I also ordered the lobster bisque which cost $10.00 but it was a total disappointment. There was only one small piece of lobster at a size of dime and the soup was water. Please see my video. I wanted to get a refund but I didn't want to go through the hassle or have to time to make the request. Final notes: It is worth trying their Lobster Rolls but not their lobster bisque. I hope management reads this review and improves their lobster bisque recipe. Side note: Whole Foods actually has pretty good lobster bisque.

Yelp
Back again and just as great as before. Ordered the limited time snow crab roll and it did not disappoint. Heaping mounds of crab that is way too much for the sandwich but that's the way it should be based on the price. But at the end it's fair value. Service was friendly. Cleaning staff very quick. Love being in the middle of Grand Central Station. Great vibe.

Yelp
On point service and some of the best clam chowder I have eaten. Ended up here because I left another nearby restaurant. There were quite a few patrons in here having their lobster tools which looked really good. The prices were pretty good. We arrived just as happy hour was about to be over. The beers were half off so this was a great deal. We were killing time so we did not try any other items. We ordered at the counter and they brought the drinks to the table. I would definitely recommend trying this place. I want to go back just to try a lobster or seafood roll. The atmosphere is very casual and can be a bit loud as you are in grand central, but it's awesome!

Marynell K.

Yelp
Grabbed a bite to eat while waiting for my train. I decided to try the mariner special which included the Lukes style lobster roll, bag of chips, clam chowder and a drink of choice. The service was above the bar for being a grab and go eatery: My first thought was the price is a little steep, but for being inside of Grand central terminal the higher prices are to be expected. Once I actually opened the lobster roll container and saw how much lobster was included, the price point definitely made sense. The lobster roll was so filling I actually didn't have room for the clam chowder but I definitely saved it for later. This will definitely be my go to whenever commuting through Grand Central.

Michael K.

Yelp
For the location and expectation this was phenomenal, obviously a price point but quality food and could either serve as a sit down or on the run for the train. Recommended and I will certainly be back. Great food and service!

Empathic R.

Yelp
Service was excellent tonight, with the most polite and kind gentleman with a sapphire blue Santa hat with white trim. He made dining in a pleasant experience. Both the lobster bisque and the lobster roll were delicious, and both had ample chunks of lobster. I ended up having to take 1/2 of the 6 oz lobster roll home. 4 stars is due to the price: $58 dollars without the 18% tip I left and that is with no beverage. The same lady w/nose ring that was angry yesterday evening was cooking again tonight. She's not nice or friendly, but she's a good cook.

Humairaa A.

Yelp
It was nice to try while in Grand Central. I have heard about this place often. However, a part from tasting fresh, there was a small piece of shell in my bite that was a turn off. I think the service is on point. They crank out their orders quickly. Great amount of seating and a nice selection of drinks.

Shirley A.

Yelp
My friends and I were visiting for the long weekend and came here to eat. It's a good size space in Grand Central Station. The service and food were good. I wouldn't mind eating at any of their locations. If you love lobster, crab and shrimp, you should try them out.

Peter D.

Yelp
Unpopular opinion: the shrimp roll is better than the lobster roll. Don't get me wrong, I love the lobster roll. And the crab roll. But for me, those tiny, sweet, plump shrimp in a buttery bun just hit the spot every single time. It doesn't matter if I'm not hungry, if I'm in a rush (they are quick with it), or if my train isn't leaving from the track directly next to this little stand, if I walk by, I'm getting a shrimp roll. I love Luke's. I love that the staff is always friendly (I imagine they treat their staff well to make this a reality). I love that they're a B Corp. I love that this location has a bar for me to sit at to wait for my train, and happy hour when I'm here at the right time, and booths if I don't feel like talking to the bartender. It's a welcoming spot in the middle of Grand Central craziness. And they've got the shrimp roll.

Autumn L.

Yelp
Honestly I had low expectations but it was SO GOOD! The grilled cheese was average - but the bisque and roll were totally worth it and will go back!

Rose L.

Yelp
Yummy Lobsta roll that I don't have to travel 3 hours for. Prices are what they are so if you like lobsta rolls and don't want to schlepp, go to Luke's!

Mark F.

Yelp
On our way to Citi Field for the Foo Fighters concert we were feeling a bit peckish and wanted to grab something to eat before getting on the LIRR and heading to the stadium. My sister in law suggested this spot. It was delicious. My wife and I both tried the sampler rolls (lobster, shrimp & crab). They are small (2oz) but packed with seafood and bursting with flavors. Their claim of best lobster rolls in NYC is certainly not just an empty boast. Pricing is on the high side as one would expect. They also have a nice cocktail menu.

Jamie L.

Yelp
Luke's Lobster never disappoints. I always go for the lobster flight, which comes with three half rolls, each with different seasonings. The bread is always perfectly toasted and warm. My favorite is probably the Mala lobster roll--it's spicy with a nice kick. The truffle roll is also amazing, packed with rich flavor. I love it!

Gordon Y.

Yelp
It's not cheap (hence -1 star) since the regular lobster roll is more snack-sized than a meal, but Luke's always hits the spot whenever I'm in the mood. Their clean tasting lobster rolls are distinct and absolutely delicious. More importantly, they don't overcook their lobster meat like some other places, where it could get rubbery. This Grand Central Station location seems to be just as consistent as all of their other shops. I am glad it's in this food court that needs some seafood options.

Crystal W.

Yelp
We ordered the lobster flight and the lobster bisque. The lobster was such a big fresh cut and the bread it was on, was toasted so nicely! Line went quick, it's pretty much self-serve.

Victoria E.

Yelp
Christopher our waiter Bartender was the best so friendly and fun. Nicest guy I have met in NY. Tiki hubby and I shared a nice bottle of wine and lobster bisque and clam chowder in the middle of Grand Central Station. Good food great service while enjoying # tikitriathlon. Dine,Drink,&Shop.

Enna J.

Yelp
Fast paced food stall in Grand Central with a bar. It has it's own booth seating which is nice as well. Seafood for the rolls tasted fresh and was perfectly seasoned. Love that they offer it in a trio. The buttery bread makes it! The chowder and bisque was also delicious. Service was friendly.

Kathi Y.

Yelp
Absolutely melt in your mouth awesomeness!! My husband was complaining about the price until he took his first bite. He never complained after that. He was in heaven. The lobster is sweet and cooked to perfection, enveloped in a soft, fresh roll. Perfect from end-to-end. Each sandwich comes with a big of chips. The seating area is very nice. The benches in there are the original Grand Central Terminal benches, years of history.

Melissa M.

Yelp
Really delicious! We did not think we'd be eating in the basement of Grand Central, but it was a lovely surprise! EXPENSIVE but really good! We got our food quickly, service was friendly! I got the trio so I could try each of the rolls. The lobster roll was my favorite and the crab was my least favorite. The slaw was amazing and I went back for seconds! Get the slaw! I would recommend this place for sure! Yum!

Elayna D.

Yelp
Located inside Grand Central station along with other restaurants, I picked this restaurant because I'd never had a lobster roll before. I have nothing to compare it to but I did enjoy the trio. The menu seems limited to me, but since it's inside grand central and not a brick and mortar I didn't expect to see a lot of lobster dishes that may require a lot of prep work. I am mostly referring to the choices of sides, despite that I really enjoyed my experience. Because I came into the building at the wrong entrance it took my friend and me a very long time to get here, so when we arrived we immediately asked for water and then ordered. The food was brought to us after we sat down at one of the nearby tables. If you like to people watch I suggest coming here and grabbing a bite to eat before joining the hustle and bustle on the streets of NY.

Jared P.

Yelp
If you ever in grand central make sure to stop by this place really good lobster rolls

Wes D.

Yelp
On the lower level of Grand Central concourse you'll find a variety of eateries vying for your appetite. Shake Shack down there as well as Chirping Chicken. Lukes Lobster has a central seating and eating area. The old wood benches are a great spot to enjoy a lobster, crab or shrimp roll with a beer or a soda. Enjoy all three in a flight and maybe a lobster bisque to go with for a sharable feast. The service is fast easy and nice so its a winner stop whenever I take the train or just walking through.

Ryna D.

Yelp
We were in Grand Central and decided to have some lobster rolls at Luke's. They are still delicious but man are they so expensive now!! I remember when they first opened up and they were considered cheap eats. They're more of a splurge now but it is worth it in my opinion.

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Definitely recommend getting a bisque with the rolls! It was the finishing touch. You can get the roll by itself or as a combo (comes with side and drink). I could have personally wanted more seasoning for the lobster roll but the bisque added more flavor Also the blueberry soda was really good! Glad we were able to stop by

Lloyd M.

Yelp
Surprisingly great lobster roll. Huge portion of quite good lobster, wasn't expecting it. What really impressed me was the service. I dropped a pickle, was very visibly disappointed as I had not had a NY pickle in years, and the guy working in the room brought me two free ones without asking. Well done

Jody C.

Yelp
A finger-nail sized crab shell was buried inside the crab roll, which I bit into... and now I have a cracked premolar due to this... Completely unacceptable. I've enjoyed all their rolls a couple times before, but now I won't be returning because it is simply not worth the dentist bill and damaging any tooth for...

Kiara A.

Yelp
Food was good, service was not. Cashier and bartender were nice but again, other staff were really rude. If I'm buying three rolls, and I ask for extra pickles. And you tell your cashier, no you can give her THREE. imagine spending over $100 dollars on rolls and they fight you over the free pickles. They used to give me three per roll. Just weird.

Mau M.

Yelp
Ended up here because we were not aware Grand Central Oyster Bar requires reservations. Since we have set our minds to getting seafood, we opted for the lobster rolls, clam chowder, and lobster bisque to complete our order. Flavor-wise, the lobster roll was a clear winner: flavors were well-balanced, with the right amount of bread-to-filling ratio, and perfectly-seasoned lobster. The soups were not bad either but would be better if they were served all at the same time. We had the clam chowders served before the lobster rolls came out, and by the time we were done with the lobster rolls, we were still waiting for the bisque. Asking for water was equally difficult as the waiter just gave us a single cup of water when we asked for water for the table (of 5!). We asked for more and he brought one more cup. Well, too bad the service was not at par with the food but certainly still one of the best lobster rolls that I have tasted!

Jen P.

Yelp
All in all would come back again! Lobster roll came out quick. U order at the register and they bring it to ur table. They also have a bar. My roll had a small shell in it. I'd still go back as the service was good and the roll was tasty!

Shanae U.

Yelp
Low variety of food. Just shrimp lobster crap and chips. Drinks ok. Had a lavender drink didn't really like it nor did I feel any type of buzz.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Pretty damn good. Not exactly like a Boston lobster roll but still not bad. The service was outstanding and it was a nice portion. I had a lobster roll, which was great and fresh. My friend had the clam chowder what she said was great as well. Very fast too. Solid choice

Katie A. O.

Yelp
a good old Maine lobster roll, a bit pricey but the food is good. surprised to see that they have came out with a mala lobster roll.

Skye R.

Yelp
Lady at register was super helpful. Recommended the trio. DELICIOUS! We were hesitant because it's in the food court but it didn't disappoint.

Emma C.

Yelp
amazing service - everyone is consistently kind and on top of things. special shout out to Cia and the team for helping me locate my lost cap and gown ahead of my graduate school graduation ceremony! I always stop in here for a drink when coming through Grand Central if I have the time.

Alex T.

Yelp
6 oz lobster roll includes chips $35 was very good. Add the root beer and a nice lunch in the train station. Lobster was fresh. Service a little slow so if you're pressed for time just be aware.

Liz M.

Yelp
I must share a horrible customer service experience at Luke's Lobster during the MTA Away's Grand Central Terminal Flash Sale! Because I ordered my lunch the day on their website and not in-house, they would not validate the offer of the day: Buy one 4-ounce lobster roll, get one 8-ounce clam chowder free. I even purchased MORE food. The cashier could have been more helpful and there was no way to cancel my order or refund my money. I was so disgusted by this experience I gave the food away. Moving forward, please add all the terms and conditions to the posting or Luke's Lobster should've emailed me that we would not honor the offer. If the staff had been proactive, I would have canceled my order and ordered it in-house. #horriblecustomerservice #shittyexperence #neveragain #avoid

Jake W.

Yelp
The service was fine, prompt and efficient. Ambiance is unfortunately unavoidably bad, due to it being in a train station. But never have I ever eaten so many pieces of the rubbery lobster claw tips as I have when I had the Luke's Lobster Roll Flight. The chill on the lobster dulled its already mild flavor and the different sauces varied between unremarkable (two of them) to mildly nauseating (the truffle one). To be fair, you shouldn't expect much better than this outside of Maine, not that I've ever been.

Hector S.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time when catching the Metro North train to Norwalk CT. They had a limited time Snow Crab sandwich and being from MD, I love everything seafood, so I tried it and I was not disappointed. I also got the lobster bisque and that was delicious too. Next time, I'm going to ask for more of their seafood seasoning and just a little more butter on the roll, otherwise definitely a thumbs up all around!

Haiying Z.

Yelp
Located in low level on Grand Central. The portion was big and lobster was fresh. A bit expensive than expected but worthy it. Love all the food I tried today: Lobster roll, Shrimp roll and clam chowder.

Jim R.

Yelp
For a joint in Grand Central Station it's the bomb dignity!! Killer lobster roll for the environment. Enjoyed every bite! I got the original roll and my understudy got the flight. Every morsel was consumed with joy!

Saul G.

Yelp
For $34 ,I was hoping for a larger sandwich. Both the feinschmecker and I detected a random faint note of truffle, as if some truffle oil was added or present on a utensil used to prepare the sando. The lobster meat was firm and of good quality. Just don't expect Maine sweetness. The slaw was good, vinegary more like what used to be called pepper hash. Counterman was friendly.

Clay C.

Yelp
Don't miss out on the shrimp. Great meal. I always go for the sampler trio. Not much to complain about.

S. G.

Yelp
OMG.. you guys are doing such a good job hiring a good staff today I met Maria who I dealt with in the past and she remember me this is a plus and this is the reason why I continue going to you guys in Grand Central.. please give her a raise... happy New Year's, Luke Grand Central

Ern C.

Yelp
ordered and chose the dine in option. they give you those big numbers and tell you to choose wherever you want to sit. proceeded to wait 15 minutes before i decided to check in with the five employees chatting and texting. this is not my first time at luke's. the food is practically ready made. got two trios, one of each soup & 2 blueberry sodas. not complicated. they told me the printer wasn't working and it'd be ready in 5. sure. a printer doesn't work but the cashier can't inform the "cooks"? they can't look around and see there are diners at the table waiting? all good. they come over a bring me a random clam chowder on the house. I already paid for a clam chowder. just give me what i ordered. the guy ironically says "i hope this doesn't sway you to not dine here again" as he slides over the soup. few more minutes pass and my actual order arrives. dude that brings it to us doesn't apologize for the wait time. then the first guy that gave us the soup swings by to check on us and proceeds to knock over the ENTIRE table that has the open blueberry soda on it which spills all over my coat and the bench. what is wrong with y'all? the silly manager comes over and offers me a free drink to replace the spilled one. now, my dear how is that going to remove the STICKY BLUEBERRY soda already on my coat. they have no remorse. have no idea how to recover a major customer service situation. they owe me however much my dry cleaning bill will turn out to be. i am absolutely livid. this entire team needs to be cleaned up.

David E.

Yelp
Rushing to make the 8:52 I stopped into Luke's for a quick takeout. I'm not feeling great so I ordered the lobster bisque. The soup killed. So did the service. This place is dope.

Ronald J.

Yelp
We had to try their spot. I read about it on yelp review. The sample is a must if you want to try all three rolls , this is how I rate them shrimp being the basic one the the crab meat one and the lobster was the best. Clam chowder was good but I liked the lobster bisque best. If having beer here: they are nice and cold draft available. If you are consuming soda, ask for them from the bar... free refills but if you order same soda from a can: NO FREE REFILLS AT ALL.
