Ranking The 7 Best Crab Rolls In Seattle

"This popular New York chain has a little shop adjacent to Pike Place with lots of vintage buoys and shiplap. But don't let the tourist energy fool you—the seafood is high quality. We also like that they offer different crab roll sizes along with two options: local Dungeness and the sweeter (and cheaper) Jonah. Even if the buns tend to be a bit flabby, both versions are packed with juicy meat. True crustacean lovers should order a flight that includes shrimp and the signature lobster rolls, completing a shellfish trifecta. " - gabe guarente

Luke's Lobster never disappoints! The seafood is incredibly fresh. You can really taste the quality in every bite, especially the lobster rolls. Brandy is the best! She’s super friendly, energetic, and always happy to recommend something great from the menu. Her service makes the whole experience even better. A go-to spot for fresh, delicious seafood!

Google
Underwhelming Lobster Bisque for the Price! Overpriced for what it is. The Lobster Bisque (8oz for $11) came out lukewarm and watered down, nowhere near the rich, creamy texture you’d expect from a proper bisque. The lobster pieces were cold and chewy, which didn’t help the experience. Service was friendly and efficient, and the location is undeniably prime, right across from Pike Place Market with both indoor and outdoor seating. But with so many food options within walking distance, this one didn’t stand out. Not bad, Just not worth going out of your way for.

Got the cold sampler lobster rolls, it comes with three flavors half a roll each. The quantity is great, lobster is fresh. Wish there were more topping options apart from just the drizzle of flavor.

Google
Worth Every Pricey Bite Luke's Lobster Roll isn't cheap, but it's pure perfection. Each roll is generously packed with tender, sweet, and incredibly fresh lobster, lightly dressed to let its natural flavor shine. The toasted, buttery bun is the ideal complement, warm and soft yet sturdy enough to hold every luxurious piece. It's a premium price for a premium experience, a genuine taste of Maine that's absolutely worth the splurge for its unmatched quality and deliciousness.

Google
We stopped by Luke’s Lobster right next to Pike Place Market and had an awesome experience from start to finish. We ordered the lobster, salmon, and crab rolls—all three were fantastic! The rolls were warm and buttery, and the seafood was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the quality in each bite. Huge shoutout to Destiny, Priyanka, Cecelia, and Michelle—they were all so friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. Great service makes a great meal even more memorable! Whether you’re visiting Seattle or a local looking for a seafood fix, Luke’s is definitely worth a stop. Can’t wait to come back!

We came to Luke’s Lobster for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were able to find street parking fairly quickly, which was a quick walk to the restaurant. We were immediately greeted and provided with some quick suggestions. I opted to get the 6oz Lobster Roll which was filled with lobster and absolutely delicious. Even the bread was scrumptious. I honestly finished my roll so fast that I wished that I got the 8oz. As it pertains to the ambience, Luke’s Lobster gives a casual, intimate feel which is super nice for catching up with family and or a small group of friends. Needless to say, Luke’s Lobster provided such a great first, memorable experience to a lobster roll that I am now for sure a fan. Whenever I am back in the area, I will surely aim to visit.

Google
This spot was soooo tasty! I’ve never had a lobster roll before but it really hit the spot. This was definitely a highlight of the Pike St Market visit. The cashier was also really friendly. My one comment would be to add even more signage to that little raised flooring portion, I stubbed my toe.

Google
I had lunch in Luke’s Lobster and the lobster roll is divine! It is a little pricey but certainly worth it. Good service and atmosphere. My only personal complaint would be the chips which seemed out of a package, and I am not a big fan. Everything else was great!

Yelp
The employees are amazing and very attentive! Great service! Helped us pick, and we loved the flight of sea food rolls! Tasted amazing! Now, the clam chowder was watered down, that's the only reason this place didn't get a perfect 5. This little place reminds me of something off the sea shore, great vibe! Will be back!

Yelp
We got the seafood roll flight to try all the flavors for our first time visiting. Service was quick. The food came out fast as well but it can get packed pretty quickly inside. I highly recommend the shrimp roll and the lobster roll. I would pass on the crab. It was just lack luster in flavor, in comparison to the other two. However, if you did get a full size roll, get butter on the side because I regret not adding butter or something extra to enhance the flavors. Overall, I would definitely come again. Just don't fall for the hype of tiktok like I did thinking it's going to top other places in Seattle.

Yelp
Our number one goal while visiting the city was to eat a delicious lobster roll, and that we did. We ordered the sampler trio and the rolls are pretty small. If you're eating them yourself then yes they are fulfilling but if you're sharing them, not so much. We basically got a bite of each roll. However, they are packed with fresh and tender lobster. The truffle roll was underwhelming. It didn't taste much like truffle. The lemon roll was good, but nothing outstanding. BUT, the hot honey lobster roll was fantastic! We considered ordering a full size after our one bites. lol it was that good. Skip the sampler and just get the hot honey roll!
google avatar

Thaila N.

Yelp
I opted for 6oz dungeness crab. There was so much juicy and tender crab that pieces were falling off the sides! The bread was warm, soft, and buttery. My boyfriend opted for the Mainer's Meal which came with 6oz lobster roll and 8oz clam chowder. He orderd the lobster roll cold and really enjoyed it. I would SKIP the clam chowder - it was watery and just unsatisfying. This was my first time trying lobster and crab rolls. I was surprised by the different portions, but I understand the reasoning for the price. However, it was kind of unfortunate that each roll you order comes with a drink already included in the price - I would rather order the roll by itself with no drink and pay less. Definitely the spot to go if you're in Pike Place looking for a lobster or crab roll!

Yelp
Great service, clean restaurant, amazing food! Got the seafood flight as I couldn't decide. It was $33 and did not disappoint! So much lobster, crab and shrimp! The bread was toasted to perfection. I enjoyed each bite, chips and pickle on the side complimented the rolls. We got lucky, no line or crowd when we arrived but just as we sat down, the line was out the door.
google avatar

Yelp
Decent lobster sampler. Lobster was fresh for sure. Chowder was good. Prices a little bit high in relation to flavor. But good service, cute casual beach-y vibes.
google avatar

Yelp
Pike Place Market was its usual self in the summer - insanely busy with massive crowds & long food lines. The line up at Pike Place Chowder (one of my favs for lobster & chowder) was just waaayyyyyyyy too long. So we started walking around & stumbled upon - Luke's Lobster. It was busy but not on an insane level. Limited seating available in a cool fishery type decor interior. Was able to order & find a table quickly. Gosh the taste - on point 100%! The lobster roll was OMG! I was oohing & aahing in an X-rated kinda way! Luckily there was no childrenz around! Hee! Just kidding but you get my drift = get here yesterday cause I'm definitely going back when next I'm in Seatown. The cashier dude was very helpful as I had a few questions & he pointed me in the right direction to what I should eat - it's hard making decisions when the stomach is rumbling & the head is dizzy. LOL. Keep this spot in mind when Pike Place Market has you just totally exhausted from all the crazy crowds & you desperately need a bite to eat. Alert - it ain't cheap so bring two credit cards!
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
The food wasn't the best and very highly priced. All the sandwich's came out cold which wasn't told that. Also the clam chowder was mid. Bread bowl was not hitting the spot. I would not recommend. And on top of that lobster bisque had 4 pieces of little lobster came on lukewarm. But I will have that the customer was decent. Prices are outrageous for what you get .
google avatar

Frances W.

Yelp
I was walking around pike place area looking for some lobster bisque. I checked Yelp to see good reviews and location. So I found this place and upon walking in there's a strong smell of a griddle top and burned oil. But that's fine if the food is good. I ordered the lobster bisque and it came out so fast which was great! But it was not what I was expecting. It was incredibly watered down. It wasn't flavorful, the lobster didn't taste like lobster, it reminded me of canned seafood. I really wanted to enjoy it. But as far as the bisque is concerned it's a no from me dawg.
google avatar

Yelp
Great staff and even more amazing rolls. Warm and made to order. Spent $100 on two roll combos that came with chips, soup, and drinks. I was in love and can't wait to head back to Seattle to visit again. Luke's must be had.

Yelp
I've eaten at Luke's a few times now (first in D.C) and have come to look forward to it when I visit my partner in Seattle. The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly and the cashiers are helpful when it comes to deciding what you want. I've tried the seafood roll flight, as well as the lobster roll flight, the classic lobster roll and the lobster bisque. All the seafood is fresh tasting and the rolls are soft and buttery - not too breadyy. I love that they offer flights that let you sample a variety of things and decide what you like before committing to a $20-$40 sandwich. That being said, I probably would not order the full size truffle or spicy honey roll. There was a *microscopic* dash of truffle that you couldn't even taste. The spicy honey wasn't spicy, and I also I didn't taste any actual honey flavor at all. Overall my rating is 4.5/5. It's a bit pricey, but that's to be expected with seafood. The very first time, I went to the Seattle location I asked for cutlery and it wasn't in the bag, so I had to drink my bisque. (This typically wouldn't be a big deal, but it was move-in weekend and we hadn't yet unpacked the dishes.) On my most recent visit, I was specifically asked if I'd like a pickle, and I said yes, but unfortunately, it wasn't in the bag when I got home. And now, reading other reviews, I see that they have a loyalty card. It has not been offered to me during any of my visits.

Yelp
Located adjacent to Publix Market it's great for a quick meal before you take on the walking around. Clean, seated space with, seafood/coastal decor. Nice friendly staff. Simple menu but pricey. The roll was delicious however temperature wise it could have been warmer, got nice pieces of lobster. Overall a great, clean delicious dinning experience.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
The lobster sampler is really very tasty overall. The pricing for sizing is a little bit much, but it's fairly similar to other lobster sandwiches in the area. The service was friendly and efficient and the ambiance was pretty casual and open.

Yelp
Strolling through Pike Place Market, with the scent of sea air welcoming you, it's essential to indulge in an exquisite lobster roll, and Luke's Lobster is the go-to spot for such a treat. On my second visit to this establishment, I decided to try the Lobster Roll Flight for the first time. Sampling the different variations was a delight, with the spicy honey butter emerging as my favorite. The 6oz serving of lobster is quite satisfying, especially if you plan to continue snacking around the market. I'll certainly return to Luke's Lobster for another roll when I'm next in Seattle. Lobster Roll Flight lobster roll sampler of three 2 oz half-rolls: lemon butter, spicy honey butter, and truffle butter w/ chips - A

Yelp
Visited here to get an understanding of what might be different from a Maine lobster roll-honestly, not much. The seafood was extremely fresh and light. The sauces didn't overpower the taste either. I found the staff to be nice and accommodating. Originally we ordered to go but after walking over, we wanted to sit inside and they had no problem with that, despite how busy it was. I think this establishment benefits from prime real estate near Pike's market but I think given all the other choices you have in Seattle, it's ok to skip this one.
google avatar

Ingrid J.

Yelp
Okay, tik tok told me to come here so of course I did. I was skeptical upon walking in because it was a Monday at 4 pm and it was completely empty. But I am sooo glad I stayed and ordered. I got the lobster trio with the dungeoness crab. Omg. Each roll was cooked to perfection! I was surprised that the shrimp roll was my favorite but it was! They fill them up with a good amount of meat even tho they are only 2 oz each. They have great seasoning with butter and a mayo based sauce that really was the cherry on top. The food came out fast and was super fresh. My only critique is the price. I paid about 45 dollars for the meal which I felt was a little high for the portion size but on par for other Seattle places.

Yelp
During my time visiting Seattle, I knew that I had to try a lobster roll. My sister told me that Seattle made her fall in love with this dish and frequently had cravings because of it. I did not have extremely high expectations, as I have had dry, mediocre lobster rolls before. Sometimes, they come with coleslaw and other filler that detract from the whole point of the dish - the lobster! When my boyfriend and I entered the restaurant, I noticed that it was cozy and great for groups because there were many open seats! Although the price was steep for the size of the rolls, it was definitely justified. I ordered the trio of mini rolls with three different butters. They looked tiny at first glance, but my boyfriend and I dug in and found that it was surprisingly substantial! After my first bite, I was more and more excited to take more bites because the lobster was so soft and plump. The bread was very soft and the butters complemented the rolls perfectly. My boyfriend saved the last bite for me and I spent quite a while staring at it because I knew this would be one of those moments I would miss quite a bit. I tried Luke's Lobster a week ago and I think about it at least twice a day :,)
google avatar

Jane H.

Yelp
Fantastic, lobster and crab rolls, would not miss this place. Really reprised for the type of food you get.
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
People are very nice but their clam chowder tastes like can soup. It is so watery. Worst clam chowder. Go to Pike's Chowder. Don't waste your meal here.
google avatar

Chinh N.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. My friend and I love lobster roll so was super excited to try it...and it did not disappoint. We got the lobster trio and the seafood trio. Love the truffle seasoning but really the lobster rolls were all good. I'd prefer the lobster trio over the seafood-the shrimp and crab wasn't as I had anticipated - a little on the "fishy" side. When ordering the trio-they may automatically add chips and drinks for an additional charge-this is optional so if you don't want or need it, let the cashier know...

Yelp
This fit the bill for a quick lunch in the area before having to catch a tour. Shared a small lobster roll with butter and a side of chips. It was yummy and plenty for two for a very light lunch. Staff were very friendly and brought out the food in a very timely manner. Plenty of seating inside with a mixture of booths and tables. Feels like you are in Maine.
google avatar

Willy T.

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty empty, especially compared to the rest of Pike Place. I ordered a lobster flight for $36 and it came in 7 minutes. The chips were good and were very crunchy. They are not flavored with anything asides from salt. The lobster flight is a great way to try different flavors in one sitting. The lobster is perfectly cooked and each roll is generously stuffed with lobster. The bread is basically soaked with butter and juices. The lemon butter feels very classic, traditional, and safe. It's tried and true. The truffle butter is very good. The truffle flavor comes through without being overwhelming. It's simple, yet very yummy. The spicy honey does have some heat to it. I felt like it was sweet on the bottom of the roll and spicy near the top. I'm not sure if it pairs well with lobster but I still enjoyed eating it. My ranking of flavors from favorite to least favorite the flight are: truffle butter, lemon butter, spicy honey butter.
google avatar

Shaeli Z.

Yelp
Great chips! Had the sampler which was great! I love 2/3 but it was a good snack size. I had a bite of eat item and I enjoyed it even though I'm not a huge fan of seafood. This place was super clean and plenty of seating. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. They were quick with serving, I liked the option of cold or warmed
google avatar

Ana M.

Yelp
My friend loved the lobster and crab rolls he ordered. It's more worth it to get a drink with the meal than without ($1 discount), so do that if you can. It applies to the beers too. They are very nice people who are helpful and answer all your questions. Very chill on a Sunday afternoon. I also like that it's not directly in Pike Place Market with how busy that gets sometime.
google avatar

Jamie Z.

Yelp
Went here with my friend after searching for some seafood after visiting Pikes Place Market, and was recommended Luke's Lobster (just up a block from the bustling market) for some lobster rolls. Short line to order at the counter. We ordered: - Warmed butter lobster roll 4 oz - Truffle Lobster Roll Combo (includes side and drink) lobster bisque and coke Preferred indoor seating over outdoor, and quickly sat after a table just left. Lots of natural light, good ambiance, and clean. A worker was quick to come over to wipe down the tables, and our orders came out within 10 minutes. For 4oz, the lobster was busting out of the seams of the buns, haha. My truffle lobster combo (with lobster bisque and drink) came out to be $44.45. I felt was fair pricing for quality and size. I would forgo the truffle next time and go for the classic warm butter combo. Everything was better than anticipated, and I would recommend it.

Yelp
Yassssssss!!!!!! No other word. Delicious. Service was epic. Food was delicious. And vibe was all around great. Check them out.
google avatar

Yelp
We were in town before our cruise and had to grab dinner after a delayed flight. Luke's was the only place on my list that was open. I got the sampler, although they were out of one thing and had to sub. They are small, but lobster is expensive. I also got some bisque, which was really good (but needed salt). My wife got chowder, which was also tasty. The sandwiches were good, though I wish one had been hot. Very tasty combinations, with only one or two pieces of shell. That happens with lobster rolls, so no judgment here. A solid option in Seattle!
google avatar

Christine N.

Yelp
Loved that they were able to accommodate my request of no mayo and no butter! My husband and I ordered their 6oz dungeness crab and 6oz Maine lobster rolls with side of chips and a drink. It was very delicious! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Rashid M.

Yelp
Located just two blocks away from the Pike Place Market, Luke's Lobster is a nice restaurant if you'd like to have lunch away from the madness that goes at the market. However, that's not the only reason to visit Luke's. The lobster rolls here are fantastic. I had the Warm Butter Lobster Roll which was served with a side of chips. Each piece of warm lobster was delicious and I just wanted to eat more and more of them. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very pleasant.
google avatar

Deondre J.

Yelp
Caliente it was fire, and I got my rolls warm! I brought my girlfriend out for a day date to eat and try new foods. The staff was friendly, and the parking was the only thing I could knock on this place. But so far, this is the best lobster roll I've had in America
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
I came here with my friends after our cruise and it was amazing. I am glad I try this place out.
google avatar

Natasha R.

Yelp
My friend really wanted to stop at this place right off the Market. They have MASSIVE lobster rolls absolutely packed with meat. It was so large we decided to share it. This was a good move as I don't think I could have finished it myself. While the lobster meat was plentiful, it didn't exactly have the flavor I was hoping for. The cashier was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Not a bad experience. If I go back, I'll try some different items.
google avatar

Alexandra W.

Yelp
Luke's Lobster offers good food, but it comes at a high price. The lobster rolls were tasty, though a bit on the smaller side for the cost. However, the clam chowder was the real highlight--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. While the quality of the seafood was solid and if you're craving seafood, it's worth a stop.
google avatar

Albert M.

Yelp
So this place is a stone throw away from Pike Place Market. We came to grab a bite just before they closed. The place is nicely decorated with a rustic fisherman vibe, with the neons of Pike Place in the window. First thing you need to get over is the sticker shock. The 8 oz lobster roll is $54. I bought 3 for me and my big boys. So the Pike place larger was amazing. The lobster is on a sweet, creamy, toasted bun. The lobster meat was fresh, creamy, perfectly seasoned. One of the best lobster roll I had, and I have had them in Maine, Rhode Island, Boston, San Diego, and central California. The service was very nice and they let us stay 20 minutes pass closing without complaining. Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Bill J.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for warm buttery lobster rolls. The rolls are on the smallish side but with a good portion of lobster. I got the trio of lobster rolls and liked them all. It is a nice and clean location.
google avatar

T W.

Yelp
I typically do not like lobster rolls because the bread is too much! And that's coming from a bread lover! I saw the high ratings while nearby, and decided to give Luke's a try! It's a clean spot, even in a highly trafficked area. I received my meal quick, no wait. My oh my!!!! I ordered the spicy honey butter lobster roll! It was deliiiiiiish!!! It literally melted in my mouth!. The bread was so soft, buttery, and sweet. The lobster was seasoned well! I did get mine warmed, so not sure if that matters. I would say, I'm not a fan of how the butter soaks into the bread so fast. It is pricey, so maybe away from Pike it would be cheaper. But, if you're in the area stop by!
google avatar

Jose R.

Yelp
Not worth taking a bite on $58 8oz. Lobster roll. The place ordinary, drab and unexciting. The taste leaves much to be desired. But you get a free drink!
google avatar

Brandon F.

Yelp
I saw this place walking down the street. I gave it a try and it was ok. The menu is perfect for the place. I got the trio. The rolls are small and it's based on ounces of meat. The fish didn't have much flavor. I would give it another shot.
google avatar

Kristy C.

Yelp
This was our first planned meal when we arrived to Seattle after lots of research and review reading. It certainly did not disappoint. It is not cheap but neither is lobster. My husband and I shared the lobster roll flight and lobster bisque. The hot honey is the winner but all three were incredible! The bisque was delicious also.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Very fresh. Very simple. What instantly stood out to me was the warm and soft buttery bread. I'm normally the kind to just eat the lobster and leave the bread but I actually enjoyed the bread more. The lobster itself got overwhelmingly quickly; not that it was bad, but it tasted like consuming sea water. They give you the option to add your own spices/condiments but I chose to evaluate them in their own. What's interesting about this place is that they just put lobster on buttered bread and nothing else - you're here for top tier lobster quality. Despite the high prices, I praise this place for its high quality seafood. I got the trio to try them all and found that I enjoyed the shrimp one the most. The quantity of the trio is just right for one but may not fill a hungry person. The chowder bisque are to die for and are the real winners of this place (if not the buttery bread). Friendly staff, quiet place. It starts to get busy after 6.

Yelp
The lobster sandwich was good. For me it wasn't too buttery & the lobster was very onolicious!!
google avatar

Yelp
After a very long day travelling from the East Coast, we wanted some nice seafood for dinner. Luke's Lobster did not disappoint. We had lobster rolls, and clam chowder. They were so good. The lobster meats were large and meaty, and the chowder was excellent. Service was very fast and friendly. So glad we found this restaurant.
google avatar

Dan H.

Yelp
Got the lobster roll sampler. You get three 2-oz rolls, which are tiny. Like literally 2 maybe 3 bites each so not enough to share a meal, but fine if you're just hoping to try lobster rolls. All of them were good and tasted fresh. The hot honey was the clear favorite. No Mayo anywhere to be found which is fantastic for all the Mayo haters out there. Comes with a few chips and a drink from the fridge but for $38 I'd usually expect a lot more food... if you were to get the full size it's $48 for an 8 oz lobster roll!!! Anyway, docked one star for the price but can't complain about the lobster. Plenty of seating, clean restaurant with quick service. Right across the street from pike place!
google avatar

Yelp
Came all the way to Seattle for this and the Seattle Mariners' game . Must try !!! We tried the lobster roll and Jonah crab roll . And had of course the clam chowder friendly staff , fast service and restaurant theme is cute and most important it is CLEAN.

Yelp
While these aren't exactly my favorite lobster rolls in town, this is probably my favorite place to go for lobster rolls, if that makes sense. They offer several different types of lobster roll flavors as well as a few crab or shrimp options. Bonus, their servers are actual help when making decisions so ask questions and they will do their best. The one thing I noticed that they do that so other places don't, they have an option to make it hot. I have people in my party that refuse to eat cold meats. This is one of the only lobster focused places I can safely take larger groups and feel confident that everyone will be able to happily order and eat. I'm not sure what flavor is my favorite, but to be honest the flavor differences are fairly subtle. I do wish the had an option for extra potent sauce so I could dip to get the full experience of their sauces ingredients. Luckily they also let you pick a size. These babies are not cheap. A date here for 2 can cost you over $80 if you order 2 fulls with sides and a drink. As in, if you have kids, be sure to order them the small version if you want to help your pockets out. Our bill for 4 smalls that we upgraded to the cheapest +2 combo, still came out around $120. Thank goodness they offer free water for those who can't afford the extra drink. The water tastes great. I don't appreciate their location. It's hard to believe they even have decent prices seeing how other places further away from this hot zone have even higher prices. The inside is so clean and inviting. Plenty of room, it's never even crowded. Perfect for an informal date or putting with friends. I hope they stick around and stay affordable and I'll keep on coming and bringing people to try them out. Don't expect to find easy parking. My first 2 visits I walked. My third visit I was in a car and we had to make 3 loops to find parking which was about a block and a half away. This was about as close as it gets. It's worth the journey.

Yelp
I had the flight which is four different kinds of lobster and crab rolls, and it was fantastic! Friendly staff

Yelp
Came to Luke's on one of my many Pike Place strolls, and I was not disappointed. When I walked in, no one was there but me, making the service prompt. The ambulance ambiance is casual with a fish market vibe. The star of the experience was undoubtedly the lobster roll. It was packed with tons of fresh lobster and just the right of mayo. It is the perfect lunch for a summer day. Highly recommend Luke's for a solid seafood lunch near Pike's Place that's not a tourist trap.

Yelp
Outstanding lobster rolls albeit a little pricey but then again it's Seattle and you're getting New England product. Three sizes to choose from. Excellent service too. Menu is simple and easy so you don't have much dilly dallying going on in n front of you. Clean restrooms too.
