"Lulu’s, the onsite restaurant at The Nevada Hotel, offers a vibe of "Maine meets the Pacific Islands," with a few other passport stamps along the way. Think tropical and global flavors focused through local ingredients, like the cheesy lobster rangoon dip, plus a curry of local shrimp with coconut rice. The house fried rice with broccolini, scallions, and a ton of other vegetables with a sesame-soy sauce is a delight, too; get it with crispy house-made spam (trust us). Ceviches change daily, and there are a ton of vegan and veggie options available, including jackfruit tacos in a Kahlua barbecue sauce. Wash all the delights down with tropical drinks, like the Bird of Paradise which takes flight with bourbon, allspice dram, and fresh juices." - Nathan Tavares

Set in a great retro style motel and has a cool vibe. We chose to sit outside because it looked a little small inside to us. Drinks, food, and service were all outstanding! We will visit again if we are in the area for sure.

Tucked inside York's Nevada Hotel, LuLu's is a gem decked out for the holidays. The Christmas decorations create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for escaping the winter chill. Their unique blend of Hawaiian and Mexican influences shines through in their drinks – we loved the tropical cocktails! While the food menu was limited to snacks like warm olives and chips and salsa during our visit, the festive ambiance and delicious drinks more than made up for it. Friendly service added to the experience. We'll definitely be back to explore their full menu soon!

Awesome vibe and very cool decor. Most dishes on the menu have coconut. Don't get me wrong, I like coconut but every single dish has coconut. Also, I do love the retro vibe with the spam cans but, too much spam on the menu. In this day and age, knowing what is going on in the food industry, who in their right mind would eat spam? We have been there twice, the food is mediocre and so is the menu. Too bad because the vibe and decor are very unique. Great place for a cocktail, but not for dinner

Lulu’s is such a beautiful place! From the moment you walk up to the restaurant you feel immediately happy, and the view of York beach is spectacular!!!! The decor is perfection and you feel like you are in a tiki bar, it’s such a fun spot! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ugh! We were so looking forward to this spot and were pretty disappointed. We were a party of 5 and they told us it would be 15-30 min wait... instead it was 5 min and they seated us around the fire pits in the front of the restaurant. It's impossible to eat a meal there! There are side tables but we wanted to split a bunch of plates. Felt like we were at a backyard bbq when you have to eat with your plate in your lap. Also, there is NO lighting around the fire pits and the plates are dark, we were literally fishing for mussels. Service was super slow, took 30+ min for our first plate to come out. Server was unfriendly and was not at all knowledgeable or interested in the fact that someone in our party had an allergy.

After eating at Stone's Throw, which is owned by the same family (and where I paid $20 to add 3 scallops to a pasta dish), my husband and I wanted to get a drink here. There were many open seats around fire pits on the lawn. We asked the hostess if we could just get drinks and sit out there and she said yes. After getting two $16 drinks, we went to sit in some open seats on the lawn and a different employee said we couldn't. So, we stood at the edge of the lawn to try and quickly drink then leave. Then, another employee asked us to get off of the lawn and stand on the sidewalk because the lawn apparently had a wait list? I found the experience to be completely ridiculous and hope that this becomes a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in the future.
