Lumaca

We came with my boyfriend to NYC for only two nights and we were so happy to choose Lumaca as the place for our farewell dinner. The staff is super friendly and suggested amazing items on the menu. We ordered Mussels - served without shells in amazing sauce! Prosciutto plate was huge as well with a side of arugula. For main course I tries scallops (OMG!) and my partner - med rare steak (so juicy!). Overall, we had a great time at Lumaca and I would definitely recommend checking this place in NYC!

Cozy spot that is on its way to bring a hot one too. Nice plating and serving sizes, a full menu with great options all around. Definitely a step up from most in-hotel restaurants.

Remarkable food and they’re working on service being a 10/10. Lovely, quiet and intimate setting. Amazing food - some of the best I’ve enjoyed in Midtown. This is technically Murray Hill. Amazing crudo, salads, entrees, and desserts.

Yummy South Italian fare. Everything tasted great and the atmosphere /ambiance were very cozy. Service was excellent. Don't forget to try the pistachio tiramisu!

You'll have a hard time finding its front door if you don't know if it's in the hotel. When you walk in to the hotel you'll see where the restaurant nests. Liked its quiet, private-like atmosphere. Foods were good, couldn't say it's great since it was kinda little salty for my taste. Waitstaffs were awesome, very helpful. I'll give 4 stars just because it's kinda pricey based on their foods.

Delicious food in a stunning and intimate space. What a pleasure to dive deep in conversations with friends an inspiring venue, while being served creative takes on classic Italian dishes. The persimmon and burrata was one of the most tastefully pleasing plates I've had in a while.

What a pleasant surprise! I am a guest of the hotel and the front desk recommended the restaurant. It was late, I was starving, and threw caution to the wind and decided to try it. So glad I did! Location: located in the back of the HGU boutique hotel. So, get past the loungy atmosphere in the beginning and walk all the way to the back. Atmosphere: dark (in a good way). Romantic dining, but also great for small groups. Bar is inviting and friendly. Service: Some of the best I've had in NY, and I come to the city a lot. Being from Texas, it's hard to find genuinely nice servers that want you to love their restaurant. Olga was exceptional! She asked if I had ever been here, then walked me through everything. I gave her some direction with what I liked about wines, let me try some, and hit the nail on the head. Food: I consider myself a foodie and it was delicious! I had the branzino and it was some of the best I've had. Steamed in parchment paper and stuffed with veggies and farro. The secret ingredient I enjoyed was the sliced olives. Gave it just the right flavor. Will I be back? Heck yes! My new fave in midtown.

Food was great but one of the pasta (ravioli was not available ...) consider they have only 5 pastas on the menu and 3 of them with fish ... . Wine superexpensive and very low quality . Place is very small ! Service is barely ok with lot of people new in this business . Best thing was the Pasta with Wildobaoar ragu (paccheri al forno )
