Luna

We had an excellent dinner here! We had an early dinner reservation where we were greeted, sat, and had recommendations for drinks within minutes. Our wait person was awesome and had fantastic recommendations for our meal, and spaced out each course nicely so there was no rush but also no waiting. The food itself was incredible, everything perfectly done. It was a nice leisurely evening with lovely ambience. The only negative issue I can think of was the parking. It is a small lot and we were fine on arrival, however it was really difficult to get out because someone parked behind us and three other cars were trying to snag our spot. A slight trouble which is worth the service and food!

New*2/22/25 Again Luna did not disappoint. Yummy Caesar salad, and Frites… Service good. Perhaps change out the croutons? Add more lettuce. 🥬 *************** Summer 2024 Luna was a great place to relax especially by the fire pit. Visiting from Seattle so enjoying the atmosphere that was welcoming. Madi added to the experience by offering a special treat to enhance our experience. If you are a wine lover the Rose 🌹 and the Pinot Grigio were excellent. Although we didn’t have dinner the menu looked amazing! Will definitely return. Thanks!

Luna is always usually a great place to go, great service, atmosphere etc, but last night I had a Caesar salad with chicken and the chicken breast was not good, especially for the cost of $15 to add to a salad. It did not seem fully cooked, also it was very white (nothing I have ever seen a chicken breast to be) and the texture was not like what a chicken breast is. I don’t know if it was something very processed, but I could not finish it due to the slimy/slick texture and off taste. I don’t know if this is related but have also had stomach issues since the middle of the night. As I said, I have always had a good experience there, but this meat was not good/right.

Our waiter was personable and made great suggestions. The pear Gorgonzola pizza was very tasty. My Caesar salad was good. The chicken added was delicious, moist and tender. Excellent. The house Pinot I had was good. I will definitely come back again.

Amazing food and Atmosphere nice to see some folks are still taking it seriously

A few evenings ago, a couple friends and I decided to visit Luna for the first time. We were hoping for a decadent dessert and drink in an elegant atmosphere, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was lovely, as was our attentive server, Randi W. We will definitely be back for dinner soon!

The food at Luna was overall good, and the oysters were a definite highlight. However, the curry dish was a letdown. It wasn’t a true curry, but rather a thin, soup-like dish with curry flavoring. It didn’t come with rice, and the consistency felt watered down. Still, a solid spot for oysters and possibly other dishes, but I’d skip the curry next time.

Went with some friends to try it out and was terribly disappointed in all aspects. Service was terrible and waited almost an hour to finally get the entrees which were cold by that time. I think they just want you to come in and buy the drinks so they make the most money and then you wont realize just how bad the food is and how overpriced it is. Should have gone to Zips and had a better meal and save $100 just for my part of the bill.

I love this place. It has relaxing but nice ambiance. Staff is always so professional and attentive. The kale salad is amazing. Cocktails are delicious. Protein is always cooked perfectly. And fresh bread. What more cld you want?

Well, just a few short days after our horrendous dinner episode, an acquaintance of mine & her friend had lunch there! Both had burgers & fries! My acquaintance found a bunch of hair in her burger! Make sure you check out any layered meal, you have, in case there is badness hidden! They took said burger back & finally brought a new one! Did NOT take it off her bill!! Personally, I would Not have been able to eat another burger!! I was gagging just hearing the story!! Again, I say, they have forgotten What Business they're in!!!! "Customer Service"! It's a possibility that the Owner is absent too often!! (Just a thought) And yes, I know of the tragic death of his wife... Maybe he should sell! Sad story!

The portions compared to the price is horrible. I am a frequent customer and every time I leave I feel as if I've been robbed. Yes the service and atmosphere is nice and the small portions are delicious. However, can you not add a simple serving of vegetables or starch to your minuscule portion of fish? My wife's tiny salmon looked lonely on the giant plate. It was delicious though. My son and I had an interesting rendition of your bouillabaisse. Rather than a seafood broth, the bowl was strewn with a thick paste along with meager portions of various shellfish and fish. To add insult to injury, they automatically add a 10% service charge. For the three of us, the bill was over $350. I was still hungry when I got home. We will not be back.

A solo date with your baby? Yep, Luna is great for that, too. During this visit I treated myself to the $40 martini. The flavors were outstanding. It was a splurge for sure, but it was also worth it. The waitress was kind and attentive; I've always had wonderful service here.

My friend told me Luna is consistently good, so I was very excited to try it. Reservations can easily be made through OpenTable. There is a cute patio for warmer weather and plenty of seating inside too. Our server was very friendly. We sent him away a couple times because we were catching up and I was not really prepared to order. He took it in stride and never got upset with us. He just kept returning to our table with a smile. For dinner I had 1/2 the Luna Salad and a cup of the butternut squash bisque with dungeness crab. Together it was the perfect combination for a light meal. Additionally, Luna has a nice wine list. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we were stuffed and opted to forgo dessert. Although, next time I'm here, I'll save some room for dessert since there were multiple desserts that sounded enticing.

Beautiful ambiance, exquisite service and FRESH food. It was the perfect place to step away from college options and celebrate our Gonzaga drop off and our 21st anniversary. Pan Con Tomate - so flavorful, I wanted to jump in that bowl! Summer pasta- this was my fav dish! Fresh, light and flavorful! Crab pasta- this one is filling and worth the splurge Caesar salad- its hard to find a Caesar that blows me away. This one was solid. I liked the chop of the romaine and the dressing was good. I prefer a strong anchovy taste so would have liked it a bit stronger. The cocktails are impressive! Poolside and Range of Motion were unbelievable! Definitely a craft here!! Ended the night with crème brûlée (the teens fav) and they comped it for our anniversary ! That was a treat! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Everyone was hustling and our plates were consistently cleared when we looked like we were done with them, but we were never rushed. Seemed like a team there, everyone helping each other out.

Very expensive for very small portions. We made a reservation for a special table in the bar. They would not let the people at the table know that there was a reservation waiting and told us that we should never have expected to be able to sit at the table we reserved. Even though we have gone to this restaurant regularly for 20 years no one ever remembers who we are and continually ask if this is our first time. We've had better customer service at red Robin..

Luna always knocks it out of the park! The ambiance is always super cozy and inviting with dimmed lighting, plants, and a gorgeous and aesthetic design. The food was incredible. I started with a delicious cocktail called "I'll have another" that had a light, fruity taste made with blueberry, lavender, and gin. I can assure you I had another. Next, we ordered some appetizers. The crab cakes were overpriced in my opinion, but good. The tuna tartare was super fresh and tasty, as well as a larger portion than the crab cakes. My dinner was perfectly cooked, airy, and light. I ordered the Sea Bass which has become my go-to order here!! The service was a little disappointing, as it took a while for our food to come, but it was mother's day and graduation weekend in Spokane. Our server offered us two free desserts to make-up for it, which goes to show how great their service is! We had the strawberry shortcake and carrot cake. The strawberry shortcake was mouth-watering!!

Cutest little date night spot on the South Hill! We went for my birthday and the waiter was super amazing at recommending items for us to try. Firstly, the cocktails were delicious! My husband said they were the best he's had in the area. I can't remember the name of the drink but it was like "backyard porch" or something haha. We had the crab cakes and demolished those in 5 minutes. I got the bean pasta based on the waiters recommendation and my husband got the sea bass-- I liked my dish better but both were super delicious. They gifted me a free dessert for my birthday and we ordered the chocolate torte. I would eat 5 of those it was superb!!!

Very nice restaurant. Love the ambiance- classy but casual. The service was attentive and friendly. Drinks- Time Will Tell, I'll have another and can't remember the name but mezcal with beet just, we're all excellent. I whole heartedly agree with all of the 5 star reviews on the sea bass. Yes! The seafood pasta was pretty good and the crab pasta was too rich for our taste. Overall great time and experience.

Solidly the best food in Spokane .. particularly fish/seafood. These guys do it right and it comes with a price. Great wine list but could be better wine by the glass for sure. GREAT and ORIGINAL cocktails .. love those bar guys. A simple pleasure .. you wont find better fries in town .. or in WA .. or maybe anywhere .. they are simply amazing frittes .. simple with an aoli and balsamic floater. Trust me. The other amazing thing .. simple and I pretty much order it nowhere is the Kale Salad .. lacinto kale, ribbon cut fine and not tough .. pistachio and parm .. and that's all she wrote (add salmon, perfectly crispy on outside and med rare inside). DELISH! The outside spaces are the nicest and we love being up at the bar .. the firepit and sofas outside are also a nice touch for a cocktail! Enjoy!

Luna is a favorite in the Spokane area. Always fresh, always seasoned well, and always a good time. Service is great and food is delicious no matter which option you go with!

We've always loved Luna. Patio dining is lovely. The food is good, however I feel portions are on the very small side for the price. Great craft cocktails.

Beautiful location with a home-like- English/french garden feel. Small menu options lead to an impressive understanding of quality in food. A substantial offering of libations. Staff is well presented- Robin was a blessing: sweet, professional, and knows her world. Attention to details with all things is a bonus. Upscale, but casual enough

Beautiful Ambiance, Delicious Food and Impecable Service My family and I have eaten at Luna several times for special occasions. Each time it has been a wonderful experience with delicious foods and drinks with extra special service. My personal favorite meal is the Chilean Sea Bass, but the Wood Oven Pizza's are outstanding as well. The prices are a bit steep, but definitely worth it for a special evening out. We will continue to visit frequently. Keep up the great work!

I SO wanted to be able to give Luna a 5-star review as there is so much to love there. But based on our 2 1/4 hour dinner experience last night, 4 stars is a bit generous. Here's what's great: The friendly staff, the ambiance, the food, the drinks. All first class! Why 4 rather than 5 stars? Service and pricing. The place was busy and I'm sure our server had her hands full, literally. But It took over half an hour for the steamed mussels appetizer to be served once we ordered it. Timing with our drinks and food was way off as well. Although they tasted great, we could not believe that there were only nine mussels in the entire serving--$2.00 per mussel. Living in the PNW where mussels are cheap and plentiful, this pricing is truly over the top. Then it took another eternity for the main course to be served. My husband ordered the duck, which was of top quality and very tender. I ordered the crab pasta, which was also excellent. All in all, the meal took at least 45 minutes longer than we had expected and it would have been a leisurely dinner without that extra delay. We still recommend Luna and will go back when in Spokane.

Ahhh Luna, one of the loveliest eateries in Spokane. Your patio is a must-visit during the warm months of the year. The food is impeccable and the wine list is robust. Service is almost always above par and I've never had a dish I didn't appreciate. I find myself drawn here an a regular basis and it never gets old.

Gold standard. Food is absolutely magnificent. Service is over the top and friendly. Great flowing atmosphere. Beautiful place to be.

Some of the best drinks I've had! Real craft cocktails always taste delicious and fresh, bartenders really know their stuff and can make something you'll love . Food is good but pricey for what you get. Wish they had a bigger food menu with more variety. I come mostly for drinks

Always delicious ! We were celebrating our 45th anniversary and had great cocktails to start. My salmon was cooked perfectly and the kale salad even tempted my previously kale-phobic husband. Our server was attentive and sweet.

We placed a pickup order and the food was perfectly handled & placed so that it still has its integrity. Pretty much just as good as it was in the restaurant. They included their iconic bread & butter which was great. We got the sliders and they were amazing. We got another favorite, the crab cakes, and they so delicious. Its great to know one of our favorites is also a take out option!

Probably the last time we will go to Luna. We went to celebrate our 31st anniversary of meeting (we also had our wedding brunch there many years ago). My very small portion of sea bass arrived partially uncooked. Had to go back to the kitchen and by the time it returned my husband had almost finished his dinner. For $44, I was sorely disappointed: expected at least a few vegetables on the side, instead of just grits, a minced vegetable sauce, and sprouts. Definitely not a meal. Our shared dessert was comped, which it would have been anyway due to our anniversary, but the $44 remained on the bill, and there also was an inexplicable "service charge," which our waitress said was "for the kitchen." Felt a bit like salt in the wound after what was supposed to be a celebratory dinner that turned into a large disappointment. There are a lot of good restaurants in Spokane that may not have the upscale ambiance of Luna, but feature way better food for a far more reasonable price, and I have never had to send anything back for being uncooked.

From the parking lot, we saw pretty gardens, lime, and fig trees. Stepping in, it was beautifully decorated and welcoming. The servers were great and we started off with drinks. All 7 of us enjoyed the various drinks except one - the "Via Vitali" tasted medicinal so I asked if they could exchange it for the "Dog Days" with half the sweetness. They did it with no problems and it was delicious. We had: 1) beet salad - 5/5. Delicious and a generous portion of beets. 2) sea bass - 5/5. Tender and perfectly cooked. Unassuming, but just enough flavors. 3) duck - 5/5. Didn't try it, but friend said she liked it. 4) salmon - 5/5. Also didn't try it. Good reports. 5) crab pasta - 5/5. Freshly made pasta was on point. 6) poppy seed beignets - 4/5. Toasty hot, crispy and good with the lemon curd. 7) cookies & cream cake - 4/5. Really dense. More like a fudge. I'm not a dessert person so take my reviews on the sweets with a grain of salt. Will definitely return when in town and recommend to friends!

Writing this review after 3 visits: The food is out of this world!! Great quality, flavor and presentation. The ambience of this place really takes you away and great for dates or a family dinner. Service is absolutely top notch. Everyone is so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. It really feels like you are at a Michelin star restaurant. I can't say enough good things about this place. Worth every penny and more.

Love this place! It is so pretty inside and the service was amazing! I'm pretty sure they make their bread in house and it is so good! Everything I ordered was great! The creme brûlée wasn't set all the way, but still good. A lot of people were celebrating their birthday so it is a great place for special occasions. It's a little on the pricey end. There's parking right in front. Can't wait to go back! (They have seasonal menus)

Outstanding food and service! We've never been disappointed. At our last visit my husband had sea bass and said it was the best he's ever had. I had the salmon, in fact I almost always get the salmon, because it's THAT good! We travel from Missoula to eat at Luna and we will be back!!

Spokane stable for sure been here for years a local favorite. French style throughout the inside and their food. Made reservations on Yelp! I would recommend doing that this place gets really busy. They start you off with complementary bread in housemaid and oh my God it's amazing. Ours was warmmmmmm yummy. They gave you just enough so you're not completely full before your meal comes. Lol. We ordered coconut prawns lentil salmon and a burger everything was amazing flavorful homemade fresh. I read some reviews were they say portion sizes are small but definitely order appetizer entrée and if you have room thing get dessert. I barely have any room for dessert and we still got it. Yum yum. Quality of food is impeccable Yes yes they are kid friendly even though it says on there they are not I asked for a menu so I can take a picture for my fellow yelpers. Private parking lot. Luna I'll be coming back so delicious

The service was superb and the food was simply delicious. I had an amazing time trying this restaurant. I could taste the freshness in the food. The drinks were great, my favourite was the martini. All the staff were great. Wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary, or just for a night out. Definitely will go back.

Great staff; Luke has always been a favor when we come by. Fabulous food. Great expansive wine menu. Well run bar that has seasonal creations as well as fan favorites that stay around. Sitting at the bar counter here is always enjoyable in the early evening as the bartender is knowledgeable and friendly between ordered as well as the serving staff. Great food for high end prices.

For great service, atmosphere and food - Luna consistently delivers. Sit on the patio for happy hour and enjoy the sun. Sit inside and enjoy the casual beauty of the multiple dining areas. This is one of my fav "go-to" spots for a bit of an upscale vibe and experience.

Friends of mine came here for they're Anniversary, I called this afternoon to request a gift card to buy them desert , the person who answered the phone was extremely helpful , she presented them with the card as requested, service extraordinaire ......thank you !!!!

This is the best food in Spokane. Great all around. Pricey but great. Wonderful celebration spot.

tonight while having dinner with my family we were disturbed at what we were hearing from who we think was the head chef towards his cooks. He was cussing and yelling at them telling them all sorts of disrespectful slander and made our first time experience a bad one. For the money we paid for our meal we should not have had to hear such things from a professional Chef. I felt bad for his cooks and crew. Shame on you sir, we will be telling people about our experience or lack there of. upset customer, Whitley family....

We have been going to Luna for two decades now . Lovely but often noisy ambience in country French setting. Service consistently very good . Sadly over the years menu has had less and less options for vegetarians and have to always "accommodate" us .

Decided to go to Luna with friends a couple weeks ago because we hadn't been in years. Food was good but not worth the prices charged. What really got me, however, was the "surcharge" described on the bill as being to reward the kitchen staff (or something like that). Seriously? Forcing your customers to pay your staff wages even when your prices are already sky high? Extremely annoying. We won't be back.

A south hill gem, we sat on the patio and it did not feel like we were in Spokane. Very quaint. The food was presented beautifully. We started with the lemon poppy seed beignets, they were more like donut holes but still tasted great. The beet salad had a great balance of flavor and textures and the crab cakes were superb with the aioli. Would recommend for a special night out.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is lovely, and the staff was wonderful, but the food was terrible. I had the pepperoni pizza which cost $21. The sauce tasted like it was out of a can of tomato paste. I honestly thought that it tasted like a frozen pizza. I only ate half (because I was hungry) and couldn't box it up to go home. My husband had the burger and he said the beef patty tasted frozen. He remarked that he would have been happier with a burger from a fast food place. We spent a lot of money and left extremely disappointed. We went home to rummage our fridge for something to eat. The bill was very expensive. We decided we will never go back.

My wife and I really enjoyed our dining experience here the food and the service was great and of course the Ambiance was amazing.

Everything here was on another level. The ambiance, the food and the service were all top notch. Highly recommend this adorable little spot if you ever are in Spokane!

The duck breast'! This was so good. I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Spokane.
