The 36 Best Restaurants in Lisbon, Portugal | Eater

"In a city that learned to eat pizza with a knife and fork, Lupita is producing high-quality Neapolitan-style pies that tempt diners to dig in with their hands. Duda Ferreira makes his naturally leavened pizzas using fresh, local ingredients, amplifying flavors with creative spins. Consider toppings such as anchovies with caramelized onion or mozzarella with pickled red onion, bacon, and pineapple." - Rafael Tonon

Lisbon Was Just Named the Best Culinary City Destination in Europe — Here Are Must-eat Places, According to a Local

"Get a delicious pie (or two) at Lupitas, one of the most popular pizza spots in the city. Each pizza on the menu comes with a little elevated twist that makes it feel all the more special. I am a big fan of the funghi, but the newly added street corn e spicy alla vodka looks just as delightful." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. Lupita was a great surprise. I ordered the Margherita pizza and the "Our Spinach Pizza" - both were very tasty, with fresh ingredients and perfectly sized portions. The spinach pizza in particular really impressed me - the combination of spinach, ricotta, and lime was unexpectedly amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful - easy to talk to, even joke around with. The wait time for the food was very short, which was a nice bonus. I’ve heard there can be lines to get in, but we were lucky and got a table right away. The place is warm and cozy - literally, since you sit in the same room as the pizza oven, haha. It's a small space, but there’s enough room to sit comfortably and enjoy your food with a view of the street. The ceiling has beautiful decorative details, which add a lot of charm. Prices were fair - not too high, not too low, just right for the quality of the pizza and ingredients used. The location is also great - very close to Time Out Market and right next to the famous tram that climbs the steep hill. It’s the perfect spot for a delicious pizza and a drink, which you can enjoy in the room next door. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone near the waterfront looking for really good pizza.

A lovely small Italian restaurant with a focused menu centered around pizza. The place gets quite busy, so be prepared to wait. but it’s definitely worth it. The pizza is delicious and clearly made with care. Cozy vibes, friendly staff, and great flavors!

Lupita Pizza blew me away — hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve had. The crust is perfectly crisp yet chewy, the toppings are fresh and thoughtfully paired. We ordered Pizza El Choripan, Spinach pizza, Pizza Ananas, Cheese garlic bread and Cheese cake. Everything is so perfectly prepared and taste so good. When we put down our name, there were 9 groups in front of us. They told us about 45 mins to 1 hr wait, so we ordered to go which they said about 35 mins. We got our pizza and our hotel is only 5 mins away so it was still crispy and fresh when we got back to the hotel. If you are in town, you got to try it. You won’t regret it.

We spotted this place the night before when we went to dinner across the street, and let me tell you, there was a line out the door! Naturally, we had to check it out the next day, and WOW—I’m so glad we did. We tried two different pizzas, and both were amazing—some of the best pizza I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to Italy!). The crust, the sauce, the cheese—it was all perfection. Honestly, I could eat here every day and never get tired of it. Pro tip: The place is tiny, with fewer than 10 tables inside, so be prepared to wait if you come at dinner time. We went for lunch during the week, and there was no wait, though it was constantly full. I would gladly wait 5 hours for this pizza—yes, it’s that good. The building is also adorable—make sure you look up at the ceiling while you’re there. You can tell they truly take pride in every detail of their establishment. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out. You won't regret it. 10/10, highly recommend!

Lupita is serving up some seriously impressive pizza—probably some of the best I’ve had in Lisbon. We tried the zucchini, the spicy, the plain bianca, and the margherita, and every single one was a hit. Perfectly balanced, beautifully crisp crust, and just the right amount of creativity without overdoing it. The service was genuinely kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. The only thing I’d tweak? They could use a bit more space and some new chairs to match the quality of the food. But honestly, when the pizza’s this good, it’s easy to overlook. Lupita is 100% worth it.

We had cheesy garlic bread and branca pizza. Both were super flavorful. Especially the garlic bread! The pizza crust was just right; had light and airy texture. Definitely recommend it.

Stellar experience! Tiny restaurant that seats maybe 20 people. We waited outside in the March rain for a table. The lovely staff member at the door greeted us warmly, let us borrow an umbrella, chatted and joked with us to pass the time and even brought out a plate of complimentary delicious bread sticks for us to share with others who were waiting. We were also able to have some beer and wine outside while we waited. Once indoors, the very friendly service continued. Staff was joyful. Music was terrific. Food was excellent. Their ananas (pineapple) pizza is award winning and is nothing like Hawaiian pizza, don’t worry. Great food, great staff, great vibes. You should check it out

Cute, cosy and crunchy. Amazingly thin based crunchy pizzas served at Lupita. Our waiters were friendly, the music is loud enough to hear, yet not overbearing. You may have to expect to queue at peak times given the venue has a small amount of tables. Really enjoyed our pizzas and would definitely return.
