We arrived close to closing time, but the staff welcomed us with warmth and hospitality, which immediately set the tone for a great night. The service was impeccable, with our server ensuring we felt unrushed and well taken care of despite the late hour. We started with the fritto misto, and it was a perfect introduction to the menu. The fried calamari, shrimp, and chickpeas were light, crispy, and cooked to perfection. The lemon aioli added just the right amount of tanginess to complement the dish without overpowering it. For our main course, we chose the levante pizza, and it exceeded every expectation. The combination of mozzarella, prosciutto, burrata, mushrooms, and truffle created a symphony of flavors. Each bite was indulgent yet balanced, with the earthy truffle and creamy burrata standing out as the highlights. The ambiance at Luzzo’s BK is fantastic—good vibes all around with lively salsa music adding a fun, energetic atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you feel at ease, whether it’s a casual dinner or a special night out. This was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. Luzzo’s BK impressed us with its delicious food, great service, and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Brooklyn!

BIG PROBLEM. I'm not sure this place is even open anymore. We've enjoyed Luzzo's on Atlantic for years, but the other night I ordered delivery and the pizza simply never showed up. I tried calling but nobody answered. Of course, my payment went through, so they got my money. I emailed but never heard back. I'd love it someone would contact me, but I'm not holding my breath.

Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. But the food is meh. The pizza was the highlight in our meal, we had prosciutto truffle pate and burrata. It was yummy. Other dishes don't feel restaurant quality. Pork rib tasted like instant pot cook. Bread is not the crusty type but a quick one made with commercial yeast. Table olive oil is flavorless and tiramisu seems like it was made with instant cocoa powder.

Restaurant was highly recommended by a friend so we decided to check it out. Made a reservation for Friday at 7:30 pm on OpenTable. I showed up and they were closed…I called the restaurant and there was no response. Mark your restaurant as closed if you will be closed. Waste of a Friday night

I first tried this place in Manhattan and was so happy when they opened in Brooklyn Heights. Such a cute place, even though it is super small. Their tartufata pizza is amazing, and they have several good salads as well. The service is good and the staff is very friendly. OMG, I'm so frustrated! They said they were open and I drove 2 hours to have dinner for my son's birthday and they were closed!

We stumbled upon this place while we were exploring Brooklyn. The decor looked cool, and the menu sounded good, so we figured let's try it. Our waitress was rude. Our food took an extremely long time to come out even though we were the only people in the restaurant. When we finally got our appetizers, they were cold, and we had to send them back to be reheated. The pizza was ok but not amazing for the price we paid. We won't be coming back.

We’ve been here before and really enjoyed it, but they took our reservation for Valentine’s Day and were closed AND gave us no notice…so that’s cool. We appreciate the heads up!

It took me a while to get back to Luzzo's but it was worth the wait. I stopped in here pretty impulsively on a recent Wednesday evening after having a drink at a nearby bar. It was pretty early in the evening (6-something) and not too hard to get a table. I'm sure it fills up more in the later evening (and nearer to the weekend, of course) I got the Norma 12" and it was delicious. I wasn't extremely hungry so I ate some of it there and took the rest home for leftovers, which I just had tonight and it tasted delicious the second time around once I had heated it in the oven for a few minutes. Service was very good and friendly and I got my pizza very quickly. I'll try not to let three years go by before coming back again!

Damn solid option for Neapolitan pizza along a section of Atlantic Avenue where sometimes it feels like everywhere is crowded and there's an intolerable wait for everything. Why do we all live in Brooklyn again? For what it's worth, I think the pies here are better than at many of the overhyped Neapolitan spots in the city like L'antica. I quite enjoyed the buffala mozzarella pizza, which had the perfect slightly chewy texture.

If you love Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza, stop everything and run to Luzzo's BK. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you this pizza gave me an out-of-body experience. It's the quality of pizza I've been searching for, ever since I moved out of Brooklyn. But I guess theres no denying Brooklyn does it best. We ordered the Alessia and Francesco (with added Italian sausage). My all time favourite wood-fired pizza is mozz, pesto, and sausage, but I've rarely found that combo when dining out. So of course I was ecstatic when I saw Francesco on the menu. It blew me away. So many amazing flavours with the perfect amount of cheese, salt, and olive oil. Chefs kiss. The Alessia was fantastic as well. I LOVE truffle and mushroom pizza, but the Francesco with sausage stole the show. Ambience wise the lighting was dark and the noise level was super loud, so it was a bit hard to hear each other talk. But it was 8pm on a Friday night in Brooklyn, so it wasn't a total surprise. The service was great. The food came out fast and the staff were constantly on the move. Though we never felt rushed or anything like that. The wine was meh, very basic and not great. I like having wine with my pizza, but next time I'll put that money towards more food instead. Brooklyn has the best pizza in NYC, and if you don't believe me, give this place a try. Maybe with your first bite your soul will also float up to the pizza heavens like mine did.

We ordered our pizza at 5:30pm tonight and it never arrived! We were looking forward to a family pizza night but there wasn't a response from the restaurant when we called 3-4 times. We all can safely say we were hangry! It's now 9:30pm and still no word or sign of our order. Super disappointing!

The eggplant app is a really great way to kick off your meal. We were a table of 6 and sat outside of the restaurant, it was a really nice fall night so we didn't mind sitting outside. The service was pretty good, they were attentive so we didn't feel like we had to wait too long for anything. We ordered 3 large pies and 2 apps for our group of 6. The Levante and Diavola pies were really good!

I visited Luzzo's tonight-- party for one, but didn't feel alone because of their awesome, warm and welcoming staff! Beautiful ambience and chill music. Couldn't say enough good things about my server Rafael, who suggested the sausage margarita pizza that I loved! They then gifted me a dessert on the house-- so sweet. The bartender Micky was fabulous, sweet and knew her shit! She made me the best cosmo I've had in awhile, and then let me in on her secret to a perfect cosmo ;) highly suggest visiting Luzzos if you're in the Brooklyn heights area.

What a great find ! It's like you stepped into Italy. The ambiance of a a smart rustic feel that's complimented with Italian staff ! The pizza was exceptional fresh with that final touch of basil . Meatballs were so beyond on point ! Moist fresh and delicious! The spaghetti was so simple and full of flavor with all the satisfaction of pasta ! You must must try ! Molte Bene !!

5/5 - this would be a 4 anywhere else in the city but the good pizza to population in downtown bk is disappointingly low so it brings luzzo up to a 5. you have sottocasa, which is so hit or miss depending on which way the wind is blowing, circa, which is good but why am i paying so much for a small-ish pizza and to be surrounded by bros yelling at whatever game is on, and nom's, which is FINE but not amazing by any means. i will def go to luzzo's or get delivery from here when i'm craving pizza from now on! the restaurant is pretty small with some bar seating and a few tables in the back. unless you're shorter than 5'4", i recommend the tables vs the booth as they are a bit cramped and uncomfortable. they also have outdoor seating. we started with the calamari (4/5) came with chickpeas and a few pieces of shrimp. the dish was overall light and crispy - more tempura than battered, if you know what kind of fry i'm talking about - and the mayo it came with was citrusy and delicious. broccoli rabe (5/5) - really well done, delicious and flavorful! def recommend getting this as a side. Margherita (5/5) - this was the perfect margherita. not too cheesy, perfectly acidic tomato sauce and the crust was sturdy but chewy. i'd get this again when i come back Rucola (4.5/5) - i am a sucker for arugula on pizza! delicious and bright but was it missing a little bit more cheese? it was perfectly salty but it was missing something. eating it with chili flakes gave it a little more "oomph" but can't really put my finger on what was missing. if i come back, i'd def get the margherita again and want to try their other pizza with anchovies - i love em! service was friendly but not much to write home about. i'll def be back!

I discovered Luzzo BK when we moved to Cobble Hill with our family from Italy. It's the only place where I forget I am in the USA! Even when I call in for delivery I place my order in Italian--a beautiful ambiance. The service is warm and friendly, the food is excellent both pizzas and traditional dishes. Go for it!! Bravissimi!

Dropped by for casual quick dinner - was seated immediately outside. Super cute outdoor seating area! We ordered the Caprese to start and it was delish. Tomatoes were so fresh. Then we got a large Bufala Pizza which was delicious. The pizza could have used a bit more cheese, but otherwise great food! Will be back to try other items on the menu

Great pizza and good pasta. The ambiance is inside is cozy and the staff is very friendly. I met the owner, Gennaro, who's a really nice guy from Naples, Italy. Will certainly be back and I would strongly recommend to stick to the Pizza.

Absolutely lovely little restaurant and wonderful wait staff. The restaurant itself is cozy and warm, perfect for a dinner with friends or even date night. Unfortunately, I'd give the food 3 stars. We ordered a few apps and the octopus was really the only memorable dish. The pizza we ordered to split for our main was lackluster. Wouldn't necessarily order again. Maybe we came on an off night? Not sure. But would definitely give them another try since the ambiance and staff were on point.

I'm pretty loyal to another pizza place but sometimes you've got to venture out to see what else is other there. Luzzo's and their amazing food is out there! The pizza was perfect in all the ways and my apperol spritz hit the spot during the perfect outdoor summer evening but what really blew me away were the fried artichokes. Best I've ever had outside Italy (I know I know so pretentious) but really so good! I would have taken a photo but I ate it too fast.

After ordering on seamless and wondering where our food was we called to check in. They said they never received our order. After pressing them to check they "found the order" but it was too late; as they only accepted orders before 10. We ordered before 10. The head lady gave the generic "you can talk to the manager, he'll be in tomorrow." Everyone's favorite response from a mediocre, poorly run joint. Brooklyn has plenty of pizza places. Judge for yourself what this place represents. Not a place we'll come back to. Pizza was good when we had it months before but not a top 50 NYC place but good.

Outstanding pizza place. I'm a super big pizza snob, having lived in Italy for several years on and off and this is now one of my favorite places in NYC. It was a real surprise because I'd never heard of it before! Like all great Italian food, it's all about simple ingredients. The dough was fermented to perfection -- chewy but not overly so, crispy but not burnt -- and clearly only cooked for a minute or two in a wood burning oven at very high temperatures as is authentic. The buffalo mozzarella was also extremely good -- not overly tangy as it can sometimes be and their house olive oil is also really special, flavorful and not too sharp. Everything needed a touch of salt but hey, that's why they put it on the table. My wife and I also got the fritto misto which was excellent and not overly breaded as it is about 90% of the time. Strong recommend.

Stumbled upon this place with a friend and ordered some pizza. The crust was really good - not too doughy or thin, just the right amount of both. However, the pizza we ordered had no sauce on it and nothing in the description indicated it wouldn't. We got the pizza truffle pate and mushrooms with feta cheese. It wasn't bad but not exactly my favorite flavors. The place was a bit too dark and it was night out so we couldn't see the menu or each other too well. Decent enough pizza but I don't think it's my jam ‍

I have been doing some exploring in Brooklyn during this pandemic to find the best pizza spot and #LuzzosBK is one of my top contenders. I rated it a 4.8 (rounded to 5 stars). We stopped by for take-out (they also have some outdoor seating) and the staff greeted us in Italian. We did half margherita / half pepperoni. The sauce, the fresh ingredients, and the crust were all close to perfect. It reminded me of the pizza I had in Italy. The pie was completely gone. I haven't tried anything else on the menu but I already made two trips in total for their pizza. #BrooklynPizza

One of the best personal pizza places in the city! We ordered the Alessi and the Bufala, both of which were amazing! Drinks were also really good! Would recommend if you're in the area and in the search of good pizza! They had a quaint outdoor set up, which worked fine for me and my friend. However I did see bigger groups that they were able to easily accommodate!

I wanted Calamari yesterday, so I went there as I live in the neighborhood after shopping. The Calamari was the WORST ever! No seasoning and no taste and the sauces they provided were just as bad. I had a nice convo with the guy behind the counter - Kostantino, so I'm calling him tomorrow to let him know! I should have taken photos.

I was at a friend's recently - we ordered a large Margherita, which I was already a fan of, an endive salad and the Ravioli ai Porcini. I had to come back and write an addendum to my previous review because of the ravioli! It was so good, perfect amount of filling and the sauce was delicious! I always thought of Luzzo's as a pizza place, and I am happy to report that they do the other food very well too. The endive salad salad had shrimp (yum!) and a lemon dressing, a very refreshing start to a great meal

This place is a hidden gem for pizza in Brooklyn Heights. We came here on Halloween night, as it was a bit cold and windy out, and we decided to have dinner out rather spontaneously. I looked up places not too far away, since we were coming with our dog, and decided to come to Luzzo's. They have a couple of outdoor tables on the sidewalk, and a couple of tables were full already when we came around 5:30ish. We were seated immediately when we arrived, and brought waters and physical copies of the menu. We decided to share a few appetizers, the arancini, and the meatballs. Both were served immediately after we arrived, and both were delicious, though I preferred the arancini. The eggplant pizza was served not long after our appetizers. The dough was soft, with perfect texture, and slightly browned at the edges. The pieces of eggplant were cut into small pieces, so it seemed more like we were just eating a margherita pizza, but was still delicious nonetheless. Staff were pleasant, efficient, and masked. Will come back to this place another time.

Solid za but it definitely didn't exactly live up to the New York pizza hype. We got the diavola and funghi pies and for both of them, the toppings outshined the pizza itself. It's hard to go wrong with spicy salami and mushrooms, and while the crust had some nice burnt crisps, the middle of the pizza lost all integrity and completely collapsed because there wasn't a think enough base which could've used some more crispness too. And at $25 for a Margie pie, it's definitely not the cheapest option. For three people, two was basically the perfect amount.

Nice option for pizza in Brooklyn heights and open way later than the spots in dumbo. Ordered the eggplant parm, salad mixta, and the margherita pie. Eggplant parm melts in your mouth- great app. Salad is standard but large. The pizza was a 3.5- minimal basil and just a tad too thin for me. Would definitely order again but might pass on the margherita

This place is an authentic italian experience in the heart of Brooklyn. The staff are welcoming and many of them actually speak Italian and know how Italian food should be. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and recommended everything honestly but specifically the rice balls, meatballs, any of the pastas, and the espresso martini is amazing. If you want the feeling of Italy but can't go there, go to Luzzo's. The manager Gennaro is great for conversation and suggestions, super nice guy.

Simply fantastic pizza! Costa was our waiter and gave us some recommendations. A true Italian who really loves food. We had the margarita pizza and the pepperoni pizza. Seriously, this place was just so delicious!

Since moving to BK Heights we've been on a consistent diet of pizza and pasta! Terrific idea in theory... but check back with me in a few months to see what my waistline thinks! Luzzo's is a solid spot to grab a slice (great for sharing) or an entire pie of pizza (*shrugs*). Service is warm and friendly. Luzzo's offers a variety of tasty appetizers, personalized pies, and Italian beers. We ordered the Carcioffa alla Romano (fried artichokes) and Carpaccio di Tonno (tuna carpaccio) to kick off our meal. Both dishes delivered, but portion sizes were a bit small to be honest. For mains, we ordered the Cavatelli Salsiccia de Pomodorini (sweet Italian sausage, tomatoes, garlic) with gluten free pasta and the 12" Salsiccia pie (notice a theme here?). The gluten free pasta tasted amazing - makes me wonder if it was really GF?! The pizza was perfectly balanced, with excellent crust/dough, and all around delicious. We had the pleasure of dining in their outdoor garden in the back. The space is cozy and charming, but by the end of our meal me thinks the mosquitos had their fair share as well (bug spray, please!).

This was one of the most romantical dinners I've ever been taken on. . . . . . with my two gal pals for something I'm even too embarrassed to admit this phrase exists (Galentine's day)? Awkward pause. Okay, I got through it. The cocktails here are phenomenal. Freaking phenomenal. I started with a cocktail with red bell pepper and I believe vodka or gin. The names escape me but it was different and went well with pizza and Italian food and then everything shut down and changed when I tried my friend's Brandy drink which also tasted incidently phenomenal made the exact same way but replaced with Jameson. Creative and well balanced cocktail menu. I should have taken a photo because I never remember fancy names! For food we generally ordered off of a pre-set romantical Valentine's special menu. But added a few things on to it for three people. The fresh burrata mozz with prosciutto, tomatoes, and evoo. So creamy. The meatballs made of beef, pork, and spinach in a rich and hearty tomato sauce. The bread to accompany it all was also super fresh and outstanding tasting. Margherita pizza was traditional and heart-shaped. THE ROMANCE. Only complaint on the pizza is that it could have used a little more seasoning. I drizzled some olive oil on it and salt and pepper and it tasted top notch. But I liked the crust, sauce, cheese ratio. Overall - decent and would definitely be intrigued to come back and try some of their fancier pizzas. We split two different pasta entrees - The fusilli alla puttanesca - olives, capers, anchovies, tomato sauce. I was iffy on this dish mostly because I don't like olives, capers, or anchovies. Lol. But the corkscrew pasta was different and cooked perfectly aldente The sauce was definitely interesting and rich. The other pasta dish I liked a bit more. Orcchette (ear shaped pasta) with a broccoli rabe pesto and fresh burrata cheese in the middle. Really beautiful and fragrant dish that was really bright green. Topped the evening off with some really romantical heart-shaped nutella donuts. These were bomb. Oozing with the perfect amount of sweetness. Just like my galentine's dates. Ew. That came out wrong. Anyway, solid place to have dinner, happy hour, exploration of brooklyn pizza, date night, girl night, bro night. Two thumbs up.

Great Italian food in Brooklyn! we had a large group (6) and were quickly seated at 7:00 on a Wednesday night. the place is not big (15 tables?) and there isn't a lot of extra space. our server took care of us very well. the menu items seem authentic, and the dishes are listed by their Italian names. we had gnocchi, a mushroom ravioli, and several pizzas. we had cannoli and tiramisu for dessert. Loved it!

Sat down for a late Friday dinner at Luzzo's BK. The pizza was solid, but I was let-down by the burrata appetizer. Quality: After visiting a few bars without any nourishment, stopped into Luzzo's BK for dinner. Started with the Burrata, which is served with prosciutto, arugula, and cherry tomatoes. Hard to go wrong with burrata, but they decided to load the cheese with salt. And while a little is helpful, this was way too much completely overwhelming each bite. Next we had the Mikele Pizza. A small pie with mozzarella, mushrooms, prosciutto, and truffle pate. It was a solid neapolitan pizza, with good flavor and excellent texture. Expect a little bit of fluff to the crust and a nice crisp on the bottom. Quantity: As a late night dinner, the two dishes filled us up. Value: $15 for the Burrata. $21 for the Mikele 12" Pizza. Ambiance: Luzzo's BK is located along Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn. It does not stand-out from the street and we actually walked past it at first. They have a small bar up front and the pizza oven towards the back. Little pieces of New York and Italian decor are spread across the space. There also seemed to be a small patio in the way back, but it was not an option this late in the evening. Crowd: One other couple was also enjoying a late night dinner. Service: We arrived at the end of the night, but everyone was extremely friendly and we were not rushed in the slightest. Parking: Tough to find street parking in the area.

Could have been a nice night! Atmosphere and food came together in a wonderful evening. I would have given it at least four stars... Maybe five. We had the diavola pizza with salami and another with olives and sausage. Both were wonderful to share! They were delicious with that wood flamed taste that just adds something extra! The only issue was a gentleman (African American young) who may or may not have worked at the restaurant. He came in and out a few times so I don't know if he was doing delivery? He came over and was chatting with some of the restaurant servers at the payment station. However the station was located right next to where I was seated. He was speaking so loudly. I asked him very nicely if he could swing to the other side because he was speaking directly over me. He was so rude! He started arguing with me despite my refusal to engage. Unfortunately none of the other staff said anything either. When he left then someone came over and asked what was the issue. The pizza was good but not good enough for me to deal with disrespectful staff.

Luzzo's has become my go to pizza spot in BK Heights! The menu selection has grown and the pizza has gotten more delicious since they opened. Now, foccacia bread sticks are served before the meal as well. The non-pizza items are also solid. I've tried the arancini - good size, moist, fresh cheese - and desserts like the zeppole - fried and not too oily. For pizza, still love the classic Luzzo's BK. The fresh ricotta is such a nice touch with the combination of the prosciutto and truffle pate. The spicy oil is my new obsession. Service is fast, friendly, and fun.

This my first review on Yelp ever, but I feel compelled to give a poor review because while the pizza is nice (not great, but good enough), the delivery is a nightmare. DO NOT ORDER PIZZA FROM LUZZO'S FOR DELIVERY. The last three times I've ordered from here the pizza has been delayed by more than one hour. That's not an exaggeration. In October, it was 2 hrs 45 mins late - we were waiting 3 hrs 30 mins for pizza, starving kids, chaos. A few weeks ago it was 45 mins late - that's 90 mins to get a pizza. It was ice cold, had to warm it in the oven. Today it's 60 mins and counting. We just called and they said they'll be out the door in 15 mins, which means getting here in 30. Hmmmm. I appreciate a hustle but it seems Luzzo's is taking way too many delivery orders and the whole experience is suffering as a result. It's too bad. Been ordering from here for years, but I guess it's time to move on. Do yourself a favor. Look elsewhere for delivery.

See photo of the Nutella pizza. Granted, this was delivery - I probably should know better than to order a nutella pizza delivered... but then again, maybe so should Luzzo's. It took over an hour to arrive. Why would you let this leave your front door? Disgusting. I'm sure eating in is much better (I sure hope so).

The pizza were amazing, Same thing as what you get in Italy for real! We went there on a Friday night without a reservation and we only had to Wait 25 minutes to get seated. In addition, they offered us two glasses of Champagne while we were waiting for our table. The service was amazing from start to finish! We took one pizza (the large size) that we share for the both of us and for the dessert we tried the Nutella Pizza which was amazing. However, A little pricey at $18 just for the Nutella pizza. I had nutella pizza in the past and the price was around $8-12 maximum. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Make love, eat pizza! My favourite motto of all time. And that's what Luzzos stands for. Pizza to die for, pasta to die for, food to die for, dessert to die for. Should I go on? I love the cozy, European vibe going on when you step foot into Luzzos. The authenticity is beholden by the awesome staff greeting you in heavy Italian accents. It makes you want to do a jiggle and dance. We were seated immediately (we did not have reservations and they were pretty full). Menus and water were brought to the table right away and of course the menu was in Italian ha. Our waiter was very helpful in us deciding what to order. We got the Eggplant Parm, Rigatoni Ragu, and Tartuffo off the dinner menu. (We also came here for brunch and it was nothing short of delicious). Everything we ordered was delightful, tasty and fresh. We polished our plates before anyone could say boo. The drinks were pretty good too. I got wine and my husband got a couple cocktails that were super delicious. The bill was quite decent and worth every penny. I will totally be back for more of that divine pizza. Parking was also a breeze (super helpful).

I've been meaning to check this place out for the longest time and boy, it did not disappoint. The spot is a little small and it gets packed quickly, so if you've got a large party, I'd suggest making a reservation beforehand. It's super dimly lit, so if you were anticipating being able to take lots of pretty pictures without heavily filtering, you're out of luck - that or you need to trust that the hot wax from the candle you're gonna have to hold up to all your food doesn't drip onto your delicious, delicious meal. Their cocktails are a bit pricey off the happy hour ($13) but they do have a wide selection of drinks. My friends and I shared the arancini, these decadent and flavorful cheesy rice balls, which were the perfect appetizer. Then the three of us split two 16" pizzas - and we had plenty to take home, so go hard AND go home, y'all. I highly recommend the sausage and broccoli rabe pizza. The speck pizza was good but not unbelievable. Service was a little on the slow side in terms of taking orders but the food came out pretty quickly and piping hot. Looking forward to coming back!

Try the pizza at Luzzo's BK if you're in the hood; you won't be sorry! It's pretty spectacular! I'm a sausage and ricotta cheese guy, so I typically go for pizzas with both of those ingredients. On my last visit, I was in the mood some hearty Italian sausage, so I got the Luzzo's BK, which features a tomato base, both mozarella and ricotta, truffle paté and speck (an Italian cured ham)... but, I had the chef add Italian sausage to the pizza. OMG! What a treat. My mouth is watering just thinking back to that amazing pizza. I've also tried both appetizers and pastas at Luzzo's, and all are on point. Most recently, I tried the salami & cheese plate (small size) appetizer, which was actually pretty big for a small size. [Note I was super pleased by this because I'm a big eater.] This appetizer came with a variety of cured Italian meats and both hard and soft Italian cheeses--all yummy! On this same visit, we also tried the Pappardelle Rustich pasta, which featured a light white wine sauce with artichokes and pancetta. The pancetta was melt-in-your-mouth good as was the freshly made pappardelle past! I highly recommend this dish if you're hankering for pasta. As for the interior of Luzo's BK, it is kinda small-sh. However, this just makes the restaurant more intimate... and a great place to take a date for date night!

Delicious gluten free pizza and great location. I got the Luzzo's BK pizza on gluten free crust and it was amazing. It's fire roasted but not too burnt like some other places, which is nice. I will definitely come back!

I had only come here because my first restaurant of choice was closed due to a private party. So let's start off with the fact that they lock their doors even with people inside. I'm fine with that, but at least have someone monitoring the door. After knocking and waiting for a good minute for the staff/manager to stop chit chatting, they finally opened the door and sat us down. I didn't have the best feeling about the place already after that. My friend and I got our drink and food order with no problem. Once the drinks came, I took a sip and it was so bad. I get it's supposed to have a "smokey" flavor but it tasted flat out burnt. If a drink doesn't taste right, it's normal to have it taken back to either redo it or get a different one. Why I got such an issue about it, I have no idea. First off, the waiter gave off this impression like I didn't know what alcohol was supposed to taste like and also like I was gunna continuously reorder drinks. It irritated me so much so I just went with a glass of wine. I didn't want to bother with him. The pasta was mediocre. There was nothing to brag about. It was so hard to flag the waiter down because the music was too loud and he was over by the bar chatting up the female bartender. Majority of restaurants I've been to, the waiter checks on you. Well, the server that served our food was doing everything. Maybe he should get a promotion because he was great. The only time the waiter was alert was when it was time to pay. Go figure. So I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Go to another spot cuz this place is a dime a dozen. There's nothing special about this place. I could've easily passed it by if I wasn't searching on yelp for nearby Italian restaurants.

A solid 3 1/2 Cute little italian place on Atlantic Ave. Great pizza and full bar. Service was great. We had the margarita pizza and the salciccia, both really good in taste and freshly made. My only complaint is they were both burnt at the bottom and not a little, one side was completely black. We also had a salad (forgot the name). It was arugula with baby tomatoes top with parmesan. It was delicious but a bit too oily. Drinks: margarita on the rocks with salt. Too much ice, was drink was good with enough salt. Dessert: chocolate truffle. It was delicious and i don't really like chocolate. It was vanilla ice cream inside chocolate ice cream covered in peanuts and chocolate powder. Very unique! The tiramisu was disappointing. It was served in a bowl for soup. I think because it was very watery. It had a lot of liquid and too much cream. Love the atmosphere, casual enough for drinks with coworkers and dinner with friends. I found it a bit pricey for pizza. No happy hour special either.

Made a day of res on opentable and the restaurant "wasn't notified" but after showing my confimation, we were seated immediately. The service was quick and the food was delish! Complimentary bread is soft and delish dipped in EVOO. Started with the calamari which was perfectly warm, crispy, and the perfect portion to save room for pizza! The farro salad is also perfect portions of farro, halved baby tomatoes, arugula, and bits of asparagus. I have to talk about the pizza crust: I never eat it all bc it wastes space for the crust with toppings but this one, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I ate the whole slice of each slice! We got the tartufata which had red sauce, mozzarella and truffle pate - hubby loved it. I liked the quattro formaggio with Gorgonzola as one of the cheeses! Love the spicy oil they have.

Awful portions, overpriced. They charged an appetizer as an entree. The Homemade Ravioli ai Porcini tasted good but was not worth the amount. Arrived lukewarm. Only 7 pieces for $22 without tax, service and whatever other fees. The Indivia Insalate salad, only had 5 fishy shrimp that were not grilled/cooked well. Did not come with mixed greens like asked. Tasted terrible, went in the garbage. 1 star for quick delivery.

Luzzo, you astound me. The carbonara was rich, filling, al dente, creamy (from the cracked egg). I could have had this all for myself. I bet they make a killer cacio de pepe. (I will have to try and let you know). The pizza had a light crispy Rome-pizza-like crust. The toppings of cheese and truffle pate were delightful. And we suspect we saw Ebon Moss-Bachrach chilling with the owner and Ebon's two girls. Everyone was watching the football game on the tube. Good times.

We have had dinner at a table, gotten takeout, and eaten at the bar. Always a 5 star experience. The pizza is divine. The music and service is perfect. We walked out tonight to the sound of bee gees, prior to that was mostly Michael Jackson and the bartender was wonderfully fun. We've had: - eggplant pizza - garlic pizza - sausage and black olive pizza - arugula pizza If I live in NY for the rest of my life and only get to eat at Luzzos, that'd be O.K.

The pies here are ok at best when in the neighborhood but not worth a special trip here. However the spicy olive oil that's available that is the difference maker. A few drizzles of it over any of the pies elevates the flavor and makes them much better.

After a pleasant but not particularly satisfying couple of pies at Fornino in Brooklyn Bridge Park, we thought it would be a good idea to do a Pizza/Pizza Bang-Bang (Louis CK anyone?) to end the night on a good note. I'm glad we did it, because Luzzo's makes some of the best pies in the city. I'm not so sure it should've won that Best Pizza bracket on Eater last year (as they proudly display), but it sure is excellent. To cleanse our palates from the previous pizzas, we started with the Polpettine ($11 for 3). These were pretty delicious, and were a welcome way to start the meal over the usual salads and charcuterie. Since we already had two pies, we also figured we would switch it up a bit and tried the Orecchiette with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe ($17). This is a really delicious version of the classic pasta dish and is a great mid-course before the pizza main event. For the pizza, we went the small Diavola (12 inch pie for $18), and it was amazing. Piping hot, it was some of the best Neapolitan style pizza you could ask for in NY. The crust was nice and chewy, with a bit of crispiness. It was fluffy and had some real substance and made you make sure you finished every last bite of the sometimes passable crust. The place itself is very nice too, with excellent service from the waitstaff and the efficient busboys. The menu is extensive with tons of great choices - I would definitely return to try one of the great "A Frusta" items that I had at the Manhattan location, which are amazing.
