Bought a sandwich to go. The place was quiet with only one table so it didn’t take long to get the food. The chef took a fresh avocado for my sandwich instead of a prepackaged jar which was a nice touch. The bread used was very good. Overall sandwich was great.

I highly recommend LYFE Kitchen in downtown Chicago if you are ever visiting this amazing city. It was recommended by a worker at my Hotel as a restaurant that also serves Gluten Free Pizza and other GF menu items. It did not disappoint me! It was amazing! I walked to the restaurant and did wait for it to be prepared and took it to go, but the staff was very nice and the restaurant was clean.

Location and atmosphere are wonderful. Prices are decent for the area. Food was not what I expected, I get a Shrimp plate and the shrimp was over cook, also the flavor combination it wasn’t for me. Visually the food was beautiful but just that. A clean and a very good place to have a nice conversation at the table.

Great options. Food was good. Maybe needed a bit more seasoning for my liking. Coffee was great. We tried the vegetarian burrito and coffee. Taking off one star because I did not like the potatoes. But the sauce was awesome!! Will be definitely visiting again as it is in the heart of the city and provides good vegetarian options

Delicious food! The breakfast burrito was delicious. It comes with potatoes and a siracha-like aioli on the top with onions. It was a good-sized portion so I was able to take some home. My friend got a chicken and rice bowl that was also delicious! The inside was nicely decorated and very spacious/lots of windows. There is seating upstairs too which is cozy. You order at the counter, take a number, and they bring the food to you. The employees were very kind and attentive as well. Breakfast is served until 11. Their smoothies and smoothie bowls looked delicious as well. Lots of healthy food choices and conveniently located downtown.

This is a great place if you are trying to eat healthy and you like tasty food! It is reasonably priced. You order at the counter and then they bring your food. Staff was quick and friendly. I loved the smoothies. And my tuna and quinoa was great (see pic)

LYFE has amazing, pleasant, and friendly staff with amazing food, and the staff happily put attentive effort verifying each menu item is able to fit your allergies rather than risking you consuming one of those items. I am ovo-vegetarian and their beyond burger I ate had to be one of the best, if not the best, burger I have ever had. The cost may have added up, but this meal was still amazing. Experience was Thursday evening on 12/12/2024 Ordered Food: - Beyond Burger, extra patty, avocado, no comeback sauce, two ketchups on the side (meat free/vegan), (comes with certain lettuces or greens on the side) - Crispy Brussel Sprouts without the Cotija cheese (making it vegan friendly), comes with it's own sauce - Lemonade Less apparent warnings: Sweet Potato Fries and the Tots may contain corn derivatives, verify with staff.

I visited Chicago twice in the last couple of months, and I went to LYFE Kitchen both times. I loved everything I ate here. I had a different smoothie bowl each time: one had beet in it (do not doubt me), and one was a chocolate almond with delicious gobs of dates in it. Both bowls had a sumptuous crunchy granola and nuts on top, each different. On one of those days, I also bought the vegan burrito without the tortilla, and packed it along for lunch. It ended up being a breakfast scramble, with a rich aioli on top. The potatoes were also delicious. If it was this good lukewarm (my fault, not theirs), I'm sure it is amazing when it is hot! I also had a gluten-free and vegan chocolate chip cookie, and a snickerdoodle type cookie on the second visit. Both cookies were great, but the chocolate chip cookie was sensational. It was a perfect cookie. I also have to add that their coffee is fantastic. If you are gluten-free, vegan, or both this is definitely the spot you are looking for. My husband had the eggs and he said they were also really good. My daughter is vegan but not gluten-free, and she had two of the vegan croissants! Very close to the Hyatt and to the Fairfield Inn, and to any number of other attractions and hotels on State Street and the mag mile. Thank you for the great food LYFE Kitchen!

Vibe- Nice restaurant with some vegan/vegetarian options. There's tables downstairs and upstairs too. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got the brunch tacos without egg and a lavender latte Parking- I took an Uber so I got dropped off but there is some street parking

I really love lyfe kitchen, I do!! But the fact that the app gives me errors every time I try to place an order is really frustrating . I got about 15 "basket errors" when trying to place my order for pick up last week. I called the store to place an order over the phone and the lady told me that they don't do that. I begged and pleaded and told her I would give her my payment over the phone. She said fine. I was supposed to have extra chicken that I paid for on the chicken & black bean burrito bowl but there definitely was not extra chicken. My salmon bowl was missing the tomatoes and was extremely dry, even after dumping the entire chimichurri sauce on it. I called to explain all of this and the manager asked me to bring my bowl back in that they would re make it. I didn't have time as that's the whole reason I bought take out food. So she was nice enough to refund me for my salmon bowl and the extra chicken I paid for. Last night I tried to order this meal again on line and the app was giving me errors yet again!! I tried to call the store 3 times but they wouldn't take my order over the phone and just kept putting me on hold. Can someone please fix the app?!

I ordered the Lemon Garlic Shrimp Bowl on the app so I could pick up dinner after work. It was easy to use the app and my dinner was ready to be picked up on time. I was very happy with my food. The flavors were outstanding. I normally have to add hot sauce to things, but this did not need anything at all. I highly recommend to sign up for the app since you get a $10 birthday reward.

We loved the menu options. Tons of choices that all looked healthy and yummy. I like that there were two levels- plenty of seating options. The food was so fresh and tasty! My only recommendation is that the light fixtures were SOO dusty, and the leather on the booth seats are tearing

Healthy food and friendly staff but the tuna poke bowl I got was underwhelming, I replace quinoa with romaine lettuce, there was no flavor at all. The only highlight is the nice selection of hipster drinks they have, other than that, nothing special.

My to-go order was surprisingly good! I had a $10 birthday gift from Lyfe (thank you to them), and I decided to use it today. I normally get my cauliflower tacos , cuz ever since HUB51 (RIP, HUB51...stupid move, LEYE) stopped making theirs, these became my numero unos! Yup. See my reviews about them. Today, I almost got their gluten-free chicken with avocado, but something unique caught my eye. Cauliflower flatbread veggie sandwich. What??? This sounds and looks amazing. BUT is it worth a try. Usually, at Lyfe all ends well. So, I ordered it, asked if nuts or seeds were involved, the cashier was my only complaint. I was clearly a bother to her that she had to speak to me. Never smiled, even though I did and kept things light. Seriously. What the heck? The sandwich has a ton of veggies and cheese and was supposed to be served with pomodoro sauce. My to-go had lettuce in the box and some sort of vinaigrette on the lettuce, but hard to say if it was in the sandwich, cuz the sandwich was mixed in the same box. I also got my Brussels sprouts because theirs are tremendous. I got my samich home. It looked 100% appealing! The bread looked like real bread and not cauliflower. The sandwich was delectable. My only issue at hand was there was a bit of spiciness to it. I reviewed the Lyfe kitchen ingredients twice but found no ingredients indicating heat. I'm not sure if my chef went rogue on this and added heat or what it was. Not unbearably hot, but for anyone with zero spice tolerance, inquire if they can leave that out. Brussels sprouts... I opened them and they did not have a chance, trust me. Freakazoid delish!! ADVICE TO LYFE: Straighten out the attitude of the cashier who was there around 1:30pm today, but I still strongly recommend this samich. I'll definitely get it again. Lyfe! Your food is so fresh!!!! When you appreciate quality food that doesn't skimp on flavor and gives you Lyfe. This is the place to dine. My eggs had the perfect scramble. The breakfast potatoes were amazing, topped with onions and a secret sauce. Bacon, crispy and delicious. I was able to top my multi grain toast with grass fed butter and mixed berry preserves. I washed it all down with a chia lemonade that also included strawberries and mint. Ambiance and service were amazing. Of course, I'll be back.

Stopped in on a Thursday to grab lunch. Good customer service, friendly staff. The "food runner", Trey was the sweetest and most attentive employee I've seen in a while. Ordered the Veggie Flatbread Sandwich to dine in. Also paid extra for the sauce they recommended, which was essentially marinara sauce. Also paid for avocado. The vegetables needed some seasoning on them. Pretty common with a great deal of restaurants. The bread had very good flavor and there's butter to spread on the sandwich if needed. Overall, the sandwich was good. Price is a bit high for only the sandwich to be included but it was honestly enough food to be satisfied.

Very bougie, chicken was good, probably the best part about the dish. I ordered the Thai Chicken, had decent amounts of crunch and soft textures, and left me feeling full, although the portions were a little small. Cashews were a killer addition as well. A bit of an alarming taste at first, but I left feeling healthy. The vibe of the restaurant is like half of a waiter; you order at the front, get offered the tip option, and then you grab your own water and utensils. Wait time wasn't bad either, and they give you three different types of water to choose from. I would give it a 3.8 to be exact. It's exactly the type of vegan hipster cafe you would expect your right wing grandpa to seethe at. There was also a guy clearing the plates yelling the whole time.

Came to Lyfe for a quick and healthy lunch. On the ground floor of an edifice, the multi level restaurant is impressive. I tried the chicken and brussel sprout bowl. Arguably a plate vs a bowl, I found the chicken to be a little dry although the Brussel sprouts were nice and crispy. Big shout out for the seltzer water on tap, that was nice.

Had a flatbread sandwich on a random weekday afternoon while running errands in the area. Good quick pit stop if you're at Northwestern and need a bite. Lots of space to sit upstairs and the food came out pretty fast. Decent food, good quality ingredients. The ambience isn't anything special and I probably won't be back, but a good option if you need a healthy bite in the neighborhood and especially if you're looking for veggie or gluten free options!

Lunch at LYFE Kitchen! Gooey grilled cheese hit the spot as well as the chicken avocado sandwich. Quick service with friendly staff. Nice, casual place to come alone or with a friend or two.

I had a great smoothie, coffee snd a chia bowl! The restaurant is clean and comfortable!

It is close to my work place. Very healthy and varieties. It is fresh good. Sometimes we even order for our customers. It has good seating area. It is 2 storey. Staff is very good. You can download ltfe kitchen app and scan barcode on bill to get some points that turn into money. I always get frer muffin with that money. I highly recommend this place

We came here to try their vegan options, which for brunch is a vegan burrito that has tofu, black beans, and greens, and comes with side potatoes with a chipotle sauce; we also got vegan croissant and a vegan hot chocolate with oat milk and a kale juice that had banana, apple, and we removed the ginger. It all tasted great! We ate inside where there is plenty of seating. The workers were decently nice, but we didn't have much interaction with them other than when we ordered. I would return for the one vegan brunch option.

The food took a while to arrive. Got the Buffalo chicken salad. The chicken was alright, it was mostly sauce as shown in the pic.

I've been going to this place for a couple of years, and my experience has been inconsistent. Recently, my wife suffered severe food poisoning from their grilled chicken sandwich. I hope this message reaches management so that they can implement the necessary changes to prevent more customers from getting sick. Unfortunately for us, we won't ever return to this once trustworthy healthy restaurant

I used to LOOOVE eating at LYFE Kitchen. I can no longer say this. The bowls used to taste so fresh and flavorful. They seem to have lost their quality, flavor and freshness. I ordered a Mediterranean bowl and replaced salmon with chicken. The portion is small for the price of $17 to begin with. It was flavorless, veggies were stale, meat was very chewy and not cooked properly. My friends order wasn't good either: lemon shrimp bowl was tasteless. Tater tots were soggy. Very average service. Pretty much everything is self service outside of them bringing your plate. The whole place was almost empty. The ambiance was very dull. I will not visit again!

Perfect casual and healthy spot in Streeterville! They have tons of vegan options, I also saw some gluten-free options on the menu as well. I went here for dinner after walking around with a friend. We visited on a weeknight and were looking for something casual. You order at the counter, grab a number for your table and then your food is brought over to you. I got the Buffalo cauliflower tacos and she got the Thai chicken salad. We both enjoyed what we had and would return! They also have a patio that I'd love to try on my next visit when it's a tad warmer.

I'm in town for a day and have eaten here twice already! Fresh food, good healthy options and wonderful flavor!! What a great find.

Awful. We read the reviews and they were super positive and "rave." I got one word: ringers. To be fair none of the 4 restaurants in the Michigan Ave Ontario/St Claire/Ohio area we ate at were great. A Thai place was bland. An Indian restaurant was mediocre though the decor was nice. A bagel restaurant was subpar. The LYFE restaurant off Ontario St started out on a bad foot by 1. Not taking cash and 2. Not having what they advertised. A mushroom flatbread advertised was unavailable. We were told it had been off the menu for a while but still on the website. But wait, there's more. I ordered the Brussel sprouts appetizer that were obviously frozen with very little taste nor texture. My partner ordered the Margarita flat bread that was obviously frozen, stale and limp. Limp. There was a little basil and a couple of cherry tomatoes on it but they didn't add anything. My ahi tuna bowl was served with quinoa rather than rice or salad. The tuna were tiny little cubes, much smaller than the ad pic. Again the extras: edamame, crispy baked wontons, & spicy mayo didn't help the dish. We couldn't finish our meals. Don't advertise items you don't have. If you advertise "fresh" make SURE it is fresh. Bleh.

I always love a Lyfe Kitchen moment! They do walk up and order style dining. The food comes out quick and fresh. I ordered the beet salad and added chicken and this was such a tasty salad! The vinaigrette was perfect. I made it a girl dinner so I also added a side of Tots and those were delicious too. Highly recommend this as a quick lunch or dinner spot!

Excellent and interesting means. Although the names of the offerings seem familiar, their preparation is quite different. The servings are way more than ample. Not just a pile of good but a wonderful experience. Pleasant staff. Nice location.

Great place for food.. a little pricey, but that's what you should expect in downtown Chicago. Place is clean and very comfortable. Salad- Lemon Garlic Shrimp Bowl.. ingredients were fresh and the shrimp was perfect in this salad.

I come here when I've got to eat and am at Northwestern. The place is nice, service is friendly, but the food is hit and miss. I feel like the less healthy items are more sustaining and a better value for the money. I've tried a few of the healthier items, like today's poke bowl. The bowl itself seemed a little anemic for the price. It was also so salty, the marinade is simply too much. Honestly, I think adding avocado and wasabi instead of that vinaigrette would improve things. At the very least the flavors need more balancing because other than the saltiness from the marinade, I wasn't getting other flavors. I also think I'll probably be hungry again in 90 minutes. Overall, if you want to try and eat healthier, it's an ok option. Although I feel like I could've gone to Chipotle across the street & eaten a bowl with a similar nutritional value that was not flavorful, filling, and a better value.

We came here on a very wet Chicago morning to avoid the rain. They have a decent selection of tea and coffee and an interesting breakfast menu. We shared a breakfast burrito and a breakfast sandwich. Both were pretty good but definitely needed salt and tastes much better after I added some salt and pepper. The the potatoes that came with them were good as wellZ Friendly service, basic ambiance, and decent food.

I got the breakfast burrito to go. It was freaking good. Packed with delicious tofu scramble and potatoes+onions on the SIDE. It drives me nuts when potatoes are in breakfast burritos. That is not the case here.

The food was great, fresh delicious. They paid special attention to my food allergies and it was very gluten free/dairy free friendly. The sweet potato fries were great! Highly recommend for a casual, inexpensive and healthy lunch or dinner.

I've been here before and last time was great but this time was a complete disappointment. Ordered take out and everything was wrong. I ordered the cauliflower rice shrimp bowl without feta cheese and it came with feta cheese but without the yogurt sauce. In addition all of the peppers in the bowl still had the core inside of them. I got a side of the brussel sprouts and they were so hard it was almost like they were still raw. Lastly I got the beet salad and there was no pecan crunch. Terrible. Will not be back.

Delicious food! Got the vegan burrito and it came with vegan cheesy potatoes. Delicious cheese sauce and well seasoned overall. Tofu scramble in burrito was flavorful. Appreciated the wrap being whole wheat! Matcha was okay, had to add stevia packets for sweetness. Would return.

Our family of four ate breakfast here on a Saturday morning. We sat on the outside patio with our dog. The food was delicious. I so appreciate the focus on healthy options. My son ordered pancakes and they were some of the most delicious I have tried in a long time. I was surprised at how easy it was to get in and out on a weekend morning.

I saw a lot of good reviews about this place but overall, I was pretty underwhelmed. I had the chicken and black bean burrito bowl and didn't really care to finish it. I didn't enjoy pineapple ginger fresca at all. The best thing I tried was the breakfast potatoes, those were really good!

Solid choice for a healthy meal. Large salad and grain bowls with fresh ingredients. I like the order at counter, bring out to your table set up and there's always plenty of seating.

I'm really excited that the flatbreads are back on the menu! So good! Menu is more gluten free friendly than before with so many delicious options of salads, soups and flatbreads. Our neighboring table asked us what item we were eating - wanting to order the same! Portion sizes have Ben reduced by 20-30% Deleon the item. And the service has gone downhill. But still a go-to option for me for vegetarian gluten-free food.

Buffalo cauliflower tacos, grilled cheese and Mediterranean salad were all quality, good food. Table runner did an excellent job, thank you.

Overpriced for the very mediocre food. Ordered tator tots and they came out cold. Pretty sure they just microwaved them badly which seems odd for a place that says everything is fresh.

I love the food; am a repeat customer; however, JUAN the GM at Ontario location was very combative and argumentative today 2/22/24 when I complained about the condition of my flatbread he never offered to replace it just EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and nasty, it was shocking; appeared personal. I have seen him before, very unwelcoming, not a touch of good customer service. When I told him I was going to complain he didn't care; he let me know he's been working there 10 years. Michelle

Good, healthy options for a surprisingly flavorful bite! -Crispy brussels and cotija: well cooked and tasty -Thai tofu bowl: good amount of tofu and rice, and came out nice and hot. Lots of other toppings as well. -Chicken and black bean burrito bowl: tastes like a lighter version of a Chipotle bowl. The chicken was cooked super well and really made the dish. We did dine-in but our food came out in takeaway containers. Our water and coffee were also in plastic and paper cups. Disappointing considering they didn't even have a recycling bin in the store. Both contactless and counter order available. 2 stories with bathrooms upstairs.

Really nice customer service! The whole place was very welcoming and I love supporting local businesses. The reason for the 3 stars was that I was a bit underwhelmed by the avocado toast. Coming from California, I think I just have high standards for my avo toast. I wanted something light for breakfast so gave it a chance, only to find that the avocado was just sliced (not even mashed) with some chili flakes and a hardboiled egg on top, all under a slice of toast. It really wasn't that special and for the price point I was hoping for something a bit more, even though I know I'm in downtown. It wasn't super flavorful and something I could've made easily on my own, but maybe I ordered the wrong thing here.

I popped in for a quick lunch here, as it is conveniently located around. The place is trendy, healthy, and features global cuisine - what more could you ask for? I ordered a Thai tofu bowl and was a bit taken aback by the price. I found it steep, but thought I could be pleasantly surprised if they were able to do my dish well. I will have to agree with other reviewers in that the portion size is kind of small. I did appreciate the significant amount of tofu present in my bowl, which filled me up and kept me full for a long time! For this, I'd say the price was justified. The only problem with the bowl was that it didn't taste Thai. If I were to guess what I was eating, I would have 100% said I was eating an Indian tikka masala dish. In fact, it tasted exactly like it! Nothing reminiscent of Thai, and definitely should be renamed. For this, I give it three stars because I received something I did not anticipate at all. The nuts on top were a nice touch! I would be willing to come back, but I would definitely opt for a salad instead. Also, you get 10% off with a Wildcard! However, there are other healthy fast food places that I much prefer (at least for now) that I think are more deserving of charging the steeper city pricing.

I ordered the chicken penne Alfredo, veganized, and it was extremely bland. Very disappointed with the lack of flavor. The noodles are also hard in some places (not fully cooked). I do appreciate how quickly the food came out (less than 7 minutes). The cashiers were also helpful. Plus it was priced higher than expected ($17 for the bowl with tofu)

Would have been a 4 star, but for a dirty bathroom sink, dirty toilets and NO TOILET PAPER. Breakfast Burrito - DELICIOUS. Taste is fresh and natural without additives. The wrap itself is fresh, moist and chewy. Eggs are good and the Mushroom adds really nice flavor. Brussel sprouts were good. Sweet potato fries were delicious as were the potatoes that came with the burrito. My companions really liked the Chocolate Almond Smoothy Bowl. All in all, a nice place worth visiting again. Clean the bathroom sink and this place is a 4. Staff gets a 100% for being friendly and informative (but need to address the bathroom situation).

We were on a healthy streak and decided to give Lyfe Kitchen a try. We have to order at the counter and they will deliver the food to your table. It's a casual place with great healthy food options. We tried the roasted breakfast potatoes, vegan burrito, roasted beet salad and chicken and black bean burrito bowl. The food was overall delicious and fresh!

Delicious and safe! We came here for brunch and found everything to be really yummy. They are surprisingly safe and the menu is very easy to identify. The Grand Sandwich (with GF bun), omelettes, oats were all good. Hint: the potatoes are super flavorful! Sign up for their app and you can get $5.

!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I came in the other morning looking to get a nice salad for my lunch. They had many options to choose from but I asked an employee for help which they were very rude about. However, I continued to order (which I now regret) the quinoa crunch salad. I am disgusted to say but the ladies working there were not using any gloves!!! They were prepping food without any gloves while on the phone touching everything. DISGUSTING!!! The bathroom situation is even worse. As I am using the restroom I see a roach. It was so nasty and you would think they would have it clean in there being next to a hospital! Please refrain from eating here. I would not recommend at all.
