Lynny’s - Review - Govalle - Austin - The Infatuation

"Lynny’s is a breakfast and lunch trailer near 7th and Springdale that started out as a Kickstarter project. Expect to find morning-friendly foods on the menu, including house-made biscuits, parfaits, and sandwiches. There’s also coffee and espresso-based drinks using beans grown and roasted by the owner’s family in Mexico. photo credit: Whitney Devin photo credit: Whitney Devin photo credit: Whitney Devin" - Nicolai McCrary

It's the dreamiest, most welcoming neighborhood diner. Been here a couple times and everything I've gotten tops the previous dish I ordered. And the coffee is always heavenly! The pancakes I got today were so comforting and nourishing after the big storm. Highly recommend! Also, the design choices are so energizing. So happy I found it, definitely a cozy atmosphere and great place to work on a charged up laptop since it's on a quiet side street and tucked in a bit. My dog is equally - if not more obsessed :)

I didn’t even know it was possible for biscuits to be this good. My favourite was the deli breakfast on the everything biscuits. We also tried the veggie sausage one but I just loved the simplicity of the deli breakfast one. It’s a little messy with the over easy egg but it’s worth it. The biscuit is rich but light. It’s not dry at all but still has that classic biscuit texture. They are cooked perfectly and you get this amazing crunch with every bite. There’s plenty of picnic tables to eat at but no washrooms on site. I will definitely be back!

When first looking at the menu, I was a little skeptical of the idea of a tomato slice on a biscuit sandwich for breakfast. Boy was I misguided - Lynny’s All Day biscuit sandwich was a home run. The biscuits are truly special here and are soft, buttery and sweet. I paired my sandwich with an espresso soda which was amazing light and refreshing. We finished our meal off with some Toaster Pancakes which were in fact crispity and crunchity as they claim. Great spot and will definitely be coming back.

Lynny’s is a great spot to pop in and get a freshly prepared breakfast and a coffee. The biscuit sandwiches are excellent in a wide variety of ways. This place is consistent and cute and the staff are always friendly and welcoming of everyone and pups. If you’re in Govalle, don’t sleep on this little gem.

Creative. Delicious. And well priced. Really encompassing all the best parts of the East Side This is one of the those places with short(er) lines but don’t expect that to be the case forever once more people catch wind of it!

Great music, random book store and gallery, and really amazing food. Have you ever had a Lucky Charms latte? You haven’t?! Well, they’re delicious, and now you don’t have an excuse but to try Lynny’s!

I drove from San Antonio to a pop here. I got the dark chocolate and pecan biscuit. It wasn’t sweet, but buttery and a little salty. Just the right amount of sweet and savory. It ordered a peppermint mocha as their seasonal drink. Again it was nice and balanced. You could taste real peppermint not the artificial stuff at this time of year. It was all made fresh to order. It’s a cute outdoor place with a few other independent businesses in the lot. It’s a cute lot. There’s picnic table s and patio umbrellas for the hot day.

Holy moly mamacita. What a fun menu with fantastic biscuits. I also had a perfect iced dirty chai. The whole crew was all smiles and brought a fantastic energy. Akira is a super sweet human. Eddie cared about perfecting my dirty chai. Jayé and Tony were keeping things running smoothly. Great little happy outdoor space.

Yelp
I want a Lynny's in Atlanta. What a cool spot with stellar service serving up delicious breakfast sandwiches and tasty drinks. You will find free street parking, loads of outdoor seating, and free wifi, if needed. They have a large menu at the front of their trailer, or you can view it online. They are also vegetarian friendly. I had a biscuit cheese and veggie sausage sandwich that was simply delicious 10/10, one of the best biscuits that I've tasted in the Southeast. It was crispy on the outside with a soft center and buttery. The serving size was perfect! If you enjoy black tea, you must try the black rose. Absolutely perfectly brewed, and the rose syrup elevated the flavor. I'm so glad I decided to stop here before my flight. Delicious food, tea, and service. Lynn was a gem, a ray of sunshine. They were kind to me and gave me a dessert biscuit for free. I'm definitely returning here for another visit when I'm back in Austin. It's a short 10-minute drive to the airport.

Yelp
The biscuits are amazing! I also loved the drip coffee and their purple squeeze lemonade. The staff is friendly and the wait was not long when I went on a Saturday morning. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating, and it's a very relaxed setting.

Yelp
Lynny's is a cute breakfast food truck hidden off E 7th St. We came for the biscuits and they did not disappoint. Lynny's offers a ton of fixins - I definitely recommend getting a fried egg and the chipotle peppers for a kick. The Ham Slam sandwich was delicious and reminded me of my childhood local diner. The pancakes were also good but the portion was a bit disappointing (each flapjack was barely the size of my palm). Great local food truck if you're looking for a quick bite and coffee for breakfast!

Yelp
Ambiance was great! Shaded outdoor seating! Service was great and food was delicious! 10/10 recommend!! We came from SATX, definitely worth it. This is better than waiting for hours for city restaurants.

Yelp
Lynny's is legit. It presents as a clever twist on one of America's best known diners but what you get it has so much more heart. From the coffee to the biscuit (totally divine), a melon salad that will have you taking back all the hateful things you ever said about honey dew & the opportunity to put an egg on anything, there is a lot of care & creativity here. The menu has plenty of traditional options but items like the toaster pancakes, cartoon latte & the highly customizable grilled cheese speak to my inner child which is comforting & remind me to be playful as I head off into the day. Perhaps that feels a bit too philosophical for breakfast but trust me, Lynny's is dishing out a whole sunny side up experience that is exactly what I want for breakfast. For the gluten free & vegan crowd, they have options! That said - the biscuit was worth the gluten exposure. A++

Yelp
Sunday morning coffee at Lynny's! I'm in town for a long weekend in Austin. While it's cold, Lynny's fueled us with Americanos, lattes, hot chocolate and more. A little heart on your coffee keeps you warm inside and out! They had a lovely fire going in the midst of the weather. Treat yourself to a dark chocolate pecan biscuit while you're at it. Their food items looked great - unique hot breakfast sandwiches and more.

Yelp
Best Biscuits in town! I get the sausage biscuit every time I go. Ham Slam is also amazing.
