Maaribu Cafe & Gifts

I popped in without any research beforehand and so I did not realize this is not quite a laptop friendly place because they don’t even have a wifi. The cafe provides limited seating capped at 1 hour at the table. There are a couple couches outside in the back and stools in the front which I imagine don’t have any time limit so that’s good. Service was okay, my coffee was delicious however, I liked the taste and temperature. Overall it’s a very aesthetically appealing spot with some handmade and imported home goods/gifts. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for doing some work on the computer. They were gracious and did not say anything when me and some other lady occupied the table for longer than that but I imagine if it gets busier you have to leave. Parking spots are available right in front for about 7-9 cars. My only recommendation would be a more friendly service.

Amazing atmosphere, good coffee and mostly good gluten-free pastries. The scones were super dry. The oatmeal cookie was amazing. A few other items were pretty good.

A great little coffee shop + curated home decor store. I got this iced horchata with spirulina (Blue Majik Oatchata) and it was delicious. I loved the outdoor seating area! It’s a lovely spot to peruse and grab a caffeine boost!

Had a few hours in Austin before heading back to Chicago. Found this cute coffee shop and wow we loved everything. I had the Immortality Mushroom Mocha latte and my boyfriend had the Cold Brew. Both drinks were great. Perfectly made. The pastries are all GF and delicious. The coffee cake muffin was one of the best I’ve ever had. GF items aren’t always as tasty but whatever they’re doing they are doing right. The butterscotch cookie was also very good. Will definitely be back.

I traveled from Utah and had sought out gf places in advance. When I got her there were zero gf items in the case. I had the coffee and it was OK but I had really looked forward to the whole experience. Had I tried any gf items maybe it'd be a 5-star but without that, it really wasn't an experience worth the hassle of parking.

Cute gift shop home goods shop with lovely drink options, especially for me who doesn’t drink coffee. I enjoy their chicory herbal blend and the blue magic oatchata. And they are vegan friendly and don’t charge extra for vegan milk. The seating is mostly outside but the space is large and relaxing. My dogs just chilled on the large peacefully.

I came upon Maaribu on this rainy afternoon whilst walking the dog and came away with really great steals of deals. No exaggeration! They are having a Yard Sale this Sunday and if you’re looking for yourself or the perfect Holiday gift this is the place today! Brought it home stuck it in my fireplace and put a light behind it…

Best gluten-free baked goods in Austin!!!! Also the sweetest staff ever. Get the GF lemon poppyseed muffin and the GF pumpkin bread!

Maaribu is a cute coffee shop/ home decor spot! Just to preface, this is not a spot you can work/ study from, as seating is limited and outside. However, it is a nice spot to stop by and grab coffee from and browse for a bit. Their home decor is very boho and chic and creates a really warm ambiance, but it is a small selection. The coffee shop is small but has a few pastries and several different types of drinks. I ordered a matcha latte and my partner ordered a latte, and both were good. We also got a chocolate chip cookie, which was just average. There is limited parking as it is a small lot, but it is a nice spot to stop by during the weekends. Service was average. Overall, I'd give the spot a 7/10. I would stop by again just for the vibes, but it's not a go-to spot.

I had a coffee from them. I liked the flavor of their coffee bean blend, and the latte was well made. I had one of their homemade rosemary caramel flavor. I liked it a lot, but it had a slight medicinal taste that may be off putting to some.

Gluten-free desserts! So unexpected but seriously delicious. I had a chocolate donut and brought home a marble cake loaf - the load is so so good that my husband, who is not gluten-free, keeps asking for more. Really cute spot, with limited seating, and friendly service. What a hidden gem and helpful find.

Maaribu is the ultimate shop. You'll find skin care, home decor, and a cute coffee shop with drinks and gluten free sweets. I loved working my way through the shops wonderful smells and beautiful textures. I did also stop by the coffee shop to order a chai. The drink wasn't my favorite chai, but I did appreciate the high quality ingredients the chai was made with! Overall: Maaribu is such a fun concept. Check it out the next time you're on South 1st Street.

Great place with gluten free pastries! We came in on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. I got gluten free chocolate donuts and a coffee cake muffin and both were delicious and moist. The rose miel iced latte was great and I would definitely order again. The seating outside is nice, but limited. Overall a great place to visit!

Vast variety of baked goods, always a plus when you're Gluten free. Gluten free dedicated facility so there's peace of mind when ordering anything. Oliver was the best barista and very kind. 10/10 recommend this place.

Ok so this place is not represented correctly... yes, it is a beautiful home goods store... AND a full on, legit, 100% gluten free pastries and coffee shop! I wish I took pictures of the counter (someone please do). So I'm visiting Austin and absolutely struggling to find GF locations!!! And these restaurants that are 100% are not advertising themselves as such... due to the "gf is healthy and gross" crowds... one it's not healthy lol and two, it's come a long way in the past several years! I just happened to near by, so I went in. But if I know it was a whole little hidden gem shop, I would of gone out of my way! I got the best cake donut I have ever had! Cake donuts are usually a little sad... but theirs are light, perfect little cake! Unfortunately I let my frosting melt off in the TX heat, but thinking about going back to enjoy one in all its glory... GF people, run... do not walk... this is the place to be!

First things first, I come to Maaribu for cute luxury boho homegoods, also warm welcomes from friendly faces like Angelica who knows how to fit everything together, no matter how small or large my purchase. However! They also house an equally beautiful secret stash of some of the most delicious gluten-free baked goods to be found in Austin. What could be better than sipping on a delicious hibiscus iced tea (or coffee) and snacking on an oatmeal butterscotch cookie while lounging in one of the most chic alcoves in Austin? Nope, not much else.

Cool interiors shop on S. 1st St with an amazing coffee bar. The lavender latte is to die for. Sip while you shop, browsing through the beautifully curated collection of unique interiors. Fun stop on a weekend morning!

I had the best experience today!!! I'm driving through Austin to my sister- in-laws wedding and Sweet Q helped me pick out all of the treats for the weekend! The apple crumble bar is amazing! (They even through in one that broke that they couldn't sell) They were having happy hour when I went and got a box full of treats for $15 including tip! Wild! And everything is delicious. My only wish is that I had more time to shop the home goods.

First off, Maaribu is like the home you always dreamed of while scrolling through Pinterest for great home decor. And secondly they serve Ayurveda-inspired drinks with Shatavari and Ashwagandha and coffees that are delicious. This place is a go to for sweet home goods and gift closet for all friends who need that perfect candle, kitchen accessory, coffee table book or the next luxury bedroom item. There's a sanctuary-like backyard space with places to sit and sip, chat with neighbors and friends. There's also dreamy little incense cones and speciality items to keep your house in energetic harmony. Love this place.

While this is not the ideal spot for young kids because of the many fragile and expensive decor items all around, they sure do love the opportunity to stare into the wide bakery glass and pick absolutely anything because of the incredibly high quality Maaribut offers. To have a fully gluten free bakery is an incredible gift and their teas are also divine. I will say that the scoop of lavender buds into a matcha is too chunky/intense but the lavender matcha without the buds or the chlorophyll lemonade are my go-to drinks. I just wish they would offer more savory options so that we could go during the day and not just for a dessert.

Amazing little gem! And delicious lattes! I'm picky about coffee and they do it right here with homemade syrups and organic milk. And the store and patio are stunning too. I love to hang out outside with my kids- they love the lemonade.

I love this place!!! As a celiac finding a good gluten free bakery is always a challenge but Maaribu makes it easy. Love their cookies, donuts, brownies and savory scones. It's also a great place to find home decor. The south first location also have fun events like outdoor yoga. If your are GF or just looking to enjoy a great local Austin spot, check it out!

There are so many delicious drink (blue magik oatchata and the chai are my favs) and treat options here! Bonus points for have some baked goods that are both gluten and dairy free and delicious on top of that. There are amazingly friendly and helpful baristas as well! The home decor side of the shop you can browse is so cute and showcases a lot of unique products!

Absolutely love Maaribu! They have the best coffee drinks and gf treats. Highly recommend.

Love this place. This place is half-boutique half-coffee shop that sells home furniture inspired with a slight touch of Texan and other beautiful add-ons for your home and even cosmetics. If you don't want coffee as you're shopping or browsing, there's selected pastries and non-caffeinated beverages such as their delicious chlorophyll lemonade for you to try!

I finally made the trip down to Maaribu as a birthday treat and they had so many gluten free choices! I got a gluten free vanilla donut. The shop is so cute and all the employees are so nice! Looking forward to coming back in the future to try some other treats and coffee.

Stopped by Sunday around noon and stayed for the lovely home decor, lovely staff, delicious scones and cute views from the back yard seating area. Would definitely come again!

Amazing home furnishing found here. A little pricey, but they're kinda pricey for a reason! Great quality products! And the little coffee shop inside is amazing. They have the best gluten free scones in Austin, hands down!

Stopped in to pick out a birthday gift and had the hardest time not buying two of everything because the assortment is so good! The cafe inside was the best bonus- I love the latte so much I went back Monday only to realize they are closed... so I'll be back Tuesday :)

Just tried Maaribu for the first time yesterday and the mushroom mocha latte was sooo good! I would definitely say that this is one of my new favorite spots in Austin to get coffee. The shop was stunning and it had a lot of really cool home decor to purchase as well.

Maaribu is a lovely shop/cafe with excellent service! As someone who cannot eat gluten it's so nice to have a comfortable safe spot to go and I cannot understate how much I appreciate it! We loved our visit!
