"Maaslli is a great place to try classic dishes of the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin, a Maharashtrian community that really knows their way around fish. Try the mori ghee roast (shark in a hot and sweet roasted masala paste), bangda tirfal curry (mackerel and teppal curry), and some prawn biryani. Ask for the GSB specials on the menu, and check out the kharvas (pudding the consistency of panna cotta made from colostrum) for dessert.
