My wife and I don't stop by Amarillo often but we had a opportunity to stop by for a quick appetizer while the restaurant was slow. (disclaimer: major place for wine but the wife and I aren't drinkers any longer. Selection looked decent at first glance)
The servers were knowledable and absolutely a treasure to deal with.
The ambiance of the whole place is a low-lit pleasure, from the candle lit tables to the Italian-streetcorner feel of the rooms.
On to brass tacks, the food:
I can only guess what the rest of the menu is like from the calamari but let me say.. I've had squid in all different cuts from at least 30 different restaurants throughout the states..This was the most tender calamari I've ever had.
They use cutlets from the bell which is a much different experience to the normal calamari rings you get in Texas. The price was very reasonable for the quantity received.
We decided to share an order of Cajun pasta, to which our server brought it to us in perfectly sized bowls for each of us. A delightfully creamy, slightly spicy, tomato-base pasta with grilled shrimp. Delicious.
I short, this place is a dream. Absolutely recommend and will be back.
