I visited here on Christmas Eve at 4:30pm for an early dinner. We had two starters, and the candle thingy was complimentary from the restaurant - they put a wax thread in the beef fat, and it melts like a candle. Then you can taste it with the bread. It shows how confident they are with their quality! The steak was good as expected, but there's one thing I wanted to highlight - the bone marrow with the raw beef. I'm not a big fan of raw meat, but this dish just took my breath away. The combination of pomegranate, beef tartare, and the marrow really shows how well they know their ingredients - they aren’t just showcasing the freshness of the food but also telling the story of how you should enjoy your meal! The steak was phenomenal; every part of it was cooked perfectly - medium rare, with no part overcooked or undercooked. That's what you call dining, not just having a meal. I enjoyed the experience, and everyone made us feel welcome. I'll definitely come back next time!

Amazing food, the Staff were really great. My friend never normally orders a blue steak anywhere but tonight was exceptional. When we arrived we were relocated to a great table opposite the kitchen. Great evening!.

Amazing! We booked a table at Farringdon restaurant for 2 on Friday, it was soooo good we booked table for 4 Saturday as well! Food was outbid this world - all of it. The choice cut T-Bone was best I’ve had and I’ve had a fair offering of steaks over the years. The service was exceptional and special praise must go to Anita who was just sensational, so friendly and knowledgeable she couldn’t do enough for us. You need to go try this place out!

Pricey steakhouse with great service. Excellent steak to cut. Fatty and perfectly cooked. Waiter recommendations were perfect. Bottle of Italian wine that was reasonably priced. Veggies on the side were excellent (but small portions) Kind service with a digestive drink on the house.

I had a wonderful dinner with my partner for my birthday, I would highly recommend Macellaio for a special occasion. We were served by the very kind Silvia who explained all the steak cuts to us in detail and made sure we had the best dinner. I also got a lovely birthday tiramisu and we were offered a couple of digestivi at the end. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was also perfect for an evening of steak and red wine 🍷 all in all, we had a great time here and I look forward to the next visit.

I have been here 2 times and this is now my new go-to spot for good steak..it is a bit more pricey but if you want good quality meat that's perfectly cooked this is the place to go. They have great sides to compliment the food too. Both times I ordered Costata Hereford (600g for £70), which is a juicy cut. We asked for medium rare both times. And it was perfect! I enjoy my meat on the fatty side but it might be too fatty for some people. The cherry tomato salad (£7) was amazing! It has a simple olive olive dress and it was fresh. The truffle and Parmesan potatoes (£8) were great too. First time I went thru were a bit dry, but thought I would give it a chance the second time and they were buttery and moist. I have a 5/5 for the service because it was so quick, attentive and friendly, loved it. The atmosphere was very chilled and gave that renaissance vibe (darkish lighting, vintage and dark reddish interior).

There is nothing but positive things I could say about this place, and that is saying something. I have been to steakhouses all over the world and this is by far the best quality to price ratio I have ever found. The service is astounding, especially from monsieur Alessio, who makes sure you are catered to perfectly. I have been coming here for years and my girlfriend and I celebrated our 3rd and 4th anniversaries here and I'm extremely grateful to Alessio and Sole for making those both such special nights. I can try to highlight how amazing this place is but I think the pictures do it more justice! A fantastic decor in a hearty area of London, quality service and quality food, you really can't ask for much more, if I could eat here every day I would!
