MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub

We should've known when we realized it was INSIDE City National Park (the arena) near downtown Summerlin that it would be novelty food at best. The menu seemed really well put together with interesting options and seasonal fare, so we decided to give it a shot. We tried a wide range of food while we were there because everything looked and sounded good. We got the chicken chili, which had no flavor and tasted like it came out of a can. It was basically a bowl of chili powder and was somehow dry while being chili? And they served it with a bread stick? The reuben had very little meat and the coleslaw on it was super runny and took over the taste of the sandwich, making it soggy. The Prospector burger (basic cheeseburger) was bland and overcooked, they didn't even bother to ask for our preferred doneness. Charged for a side of ranch to go with the fries, too. Lastly, the Thai Pie pizza. With so many ingredients on this pie you'd expect some flavor, but like everything else, it was practically tasteless. You can tell the original crust might hold its own if any of the toppings had any merit. Don't waste your time unless you're at the arena for some reason and even then, there's PLENTY of other places just across the street in Downtown Summerlin that blow this place out of the water in price and quality of food. Sorry. The ONLY redeeming thing was that you could watch the ice arenas on either side so at least you had something to entertain you besides the utterly disappointing food.

Went here when we had a staycation at Red Rock Casino back in April. We just went for a couple of beers but will definitely be back to check out their food. The food looks delicious based on their menu. Service was good, and the atmosphere of the hockey rink was cool.

This is a decent pizza place. The wings are different from what I usually eat. The classic cheese pizza is yummy. 😋 The place wasn’t very crowded when we arrived, and the service was great. It’s a bit strange that it’s located inside a hockey arena. 😲

We went to McKenzie River Pizza after getting our new VGK jerseys and watching a morning skate...and man, the food was way better than I expected. I just kinda thought it would be typical franchise style food (Red Robin, Applebee's style food). Nope! This place is very tasty, and we got way too much food, but all of it was really good. There was a poutine burger thing that made me think, "If they can put poutine on a burger, then can I just get some poutine?" And yeah, you can, and it is pretty damn good too. Most places make poutine so badly, I get skeptical about ordering it, but it was good here. The burgers were really good as well. Service was great.

Great atmosphere and food!!! We LOVE to come over here everytime when we are this side of town. Sometime, you can see VGK practicing while we snacking. This place has happy hour also, maybe we'll try next time just for an experience. We bring our friends and also clients here and they love here also. Great place over all!!!

They offer a wide range of beer and other alcoholic beverages. Depending on what's going on at the ring, finding a seat can be a challenge, especially when there's tournaments going on. Those times, it can be standing room only. They seem to run on the leaner end as far as staffing but the servers do a great job covering the floor. There's multiple TVs spread out, so there really isn't a bad seat to games on TV. It sure beats drinking in the parking lot in the extreme heat.

Service was a little slow. Ended up going to the bar to order drinks since our server hardly came around. Food was pretty salty. Food was pretty cheap and come with a free show

Pizza is just delicious with lots of unique options. Vibe and atmosphere is great. So cool having the ice rinks right there. Will be back and look forward to trying other things on the menu.

There White Pizza is absolutely delicious And the great service is excellent But there could be TVs that shows cartoons

Came for a UNLV game, needed to eat before the game. My server was Tommy and he was very good, always around and always available to help. I had the French Onion Soup, one of the best in town. I love to get this when I come here. I decided to go healthy this time and ordered the Cobb salad. It was very filling and had a fair amount of ingredients. The ambiance, it's a sports restaurant baby, TVs galore and lots of excitement. I recommend McKenzie River even if not coming to watch hockey. As a restaurant they just have good food. It's worth the trip to either one, in Henderson or Summerlin, it's pretty consistent on food. I will be back although UNLV hockey Season is over, they are the National Champions for the first time in the history of the organization. CONGRATULATIONS UNLV, you guys have worked hard and deserve the Championship.

Came her before the Christmas parade. Our Server was Bobbie Jo, we ordered a lot of food, she was very kind and got us our food quickly!

If you're looking for an affordable meal with a large group, Mackenzie River Pizza will not disappoint... In town for a soccer tournament, our team headed over for dinner on Saturday night. Our server was patient and organized and allowed us to order using our each of our daughters' numbers, which made paying the bill a breeze! My daughter enjoyed her pasta with meat sauce from the kids menu and was happy with that. I had a Greek Salad and some chicken chili. Was it the best meal in the world? No, but it was more about the large group than the food. Adults enjoyed drinks and the girls were able to watch some hockey before and after they ate.

We had the best server. The food I ordered was actually really hot and good. We had the pot pie boom boom shrimp, kids cheese pizza and the turkey panini. All were great and delicious. My son ate almost all his pot pie and it was a good sized portion, the crust on top was gorgeous. Sandwich was good too , Caesar salad was over dressed, it wilted quickly. Our server was great. We went in for Halloween and I believe she was the scarecrow from wizard of oz. I didn't get her name, but she is one of the best servers I've ever had and we go out to eat quite a bit. This MacKenzie's is a total 180 from the one in Henderson.

I'm so upset that it's taken me so long to write a review on MacKenzie River Pizza. I was invited with a work group, to have some hang out time, with drinks and food provided. Our alcohol was on our own tab, and since I was driving, I opted for some soda, and some water through my time there. Now, as far as our food, we ordered a buffet style for the group, salad, hummus, pizza, and desserts. The spread they set up was beautiful, organized, and everything looked fresh. I opted for a bit of everything, but no sweets. The salad was nothing special, but it was plentiful. My favorite was their array of the hummus and Mediterranean options, which I loaded up my plate with. That's what I would steer towards in occasions like these. The pizza was fresh, tasty, and combined with everything I had was filling. Overall, the food was decent, I might be back to try other items on their menu on my own time. You can hang out at the bar, in their tables, and have a view of the bottom rink where people are skating, or if the VGK practices? Not sure! but it's a place you can definitely try out, have a good time with friends or with your family!

Pizza was great. I did the BBQ pork and it had tons of meat. I tried the Smoky Old Fashioned and it was very good. Lots of TVs. Great place to watch the Knights game

Great service and food. Came here and had the aloha flatbread. So good and I got the same bartender. Young girl with brown hair. Very pleasant and attentive and even the serving staff was nice. Would definitely come back. Was in town for a hockey tournament. It's clean and comfortable here. Plenty of seating.

Fun atmosphere here during VGK games! Good pizza & good service. I've also had the Reuben Sandwich which is good.

I've been unsuccessful finding a "smoke free" venue to watch sports. Specifically Stanley Cup playoffs. The ambiance is awesome. The food was very good. Wings and slammers were tasty. I moved from NY and was nervous about the thin crust pizza. I will certainly order the Mackenzie River pizza. Yum yum yum Our bartender Tommy was excellent and I look forward to watching the Stanley Cup playoffs

This place is nice. Laid back and a good place to chill, watch ice skating, ice hockey practice and sit back and have a few drinks (whether alcoholic or non alcoholic). There are plenty of TVs and One big screen. The bar is a nice size. The place is roomy. The restaurant is on the inside of the arena on the second floor. The restrooms are also just outside of the restaurant on the same floor. Nice and clean.

Bryan the general manager of MacKenzie River Pizza inside City National Arena told my son that he was not allowed to have outside food in the dining area, he said "it is a health code violation" We made Bryan aware that my son has anaphylactic food allergies and carries an EpiPen and that his food is covered under the ADA because of his disability. Bryan said it would not be allowed in Mackenzie River, despite being made aware of his disability. My son is 6 and became very confused and upset. We eat here often after hockey and have never had a problem bringing my sons safe food. He was denied access and reasonable accommodations for his disability and I am deeply disappointed.

Service was slow. Waiters were overwhelmed (but nice! We felt bad for them). The tap beers weren't functioning. The kitchen forgot to make two out of two kids' meals so they came about 15 minutes after the adults got their entrees. They didn't bring us water until we were almost finished eating. It's unfortunate because it's a really fun space. This was our third disappointing try, I don't think we'll be back.

Good foods.. fine drinks.. and hockey.. like the TVs.. great place to watch sports.. a must place to go before a ball game next door... see you Saturday.

We have ate here many times and always have great service, but today was an exception. Bobbi Jo was our server and she went above and beyond to help me and my family. Thank you so much Bobbi Jo for all that you do!

Been coming here for a few years now. Food always good, never disappoint. Pizzas are great, burgers are good, buffalo mac n cheese is good. Our bartender Justin was very attentive and always made sure we were taken care of. Would come back for sure.

Service is always good. Food is always good. Never had anything bad here. Love the nachos especially the cowboy nachos I wish they would bring those back.

Great experience! I was with a large group and our server, Jessica, was on point. We needed individual checks and she was a pro. The food was delicious and received quickly. The French onion soup was delicious.

The desserts are fantastic. Sam is fantastic at his job!!! We love him. Prices are good. The upstairs view is great.

I had a great experience for my first time at MacKenzie River Pub! First off, our server, Jessica, was amazing! She was able to juggle 20 separate orders. Everything was delicious and accurate and she was attentive to our needs the whole time we were there. Thank you Jessica! Secondly, the atmosphere was inviting and fun and we were all able to sit very close together as they accommodated our group nicely. Delicious food and a great experience, I highly recommend and be back!

98% of the time it's amazing here! The servers and staff are nice and polite, and quick to make you feel welcome. The other 2% is when the rice gets burned all 4 times I've had it with my food. Otherwise, the food is flavorful, super spicy, and really spirited. Family friendly for the most part. Some of the middle tables are way too cramped for 5+ people, but it still feels very lively and warm. Great place to watch the games and enjoy a break from the ice!

Jessica was our server and she was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. Had awesome beverages and food.

This is the least exciting place to watch the Golden Knights! The food is above average, the air is clean and drinks are good. The bartenders seem to be depressed to be working... the vibe is "get out so we can go home " what a missed opportunity for a fun VGK bar!! We often go to The Bar at Flamingo and Grand Canyon... when the Knights score they play the foghorn sound like inside T-Mobile.... When the Knights score in Makenzie the staff looks bored....... Pretend you like the Golden Knights!!

I wouldn't go out of my way for this place. I ordered a chicken quesadilla from the apps menu and it was super spicy. Had a small order of the southwest salad, that was also spicy, and the dressing was really watery. Both the quesadilla and the salad were a letdown, and definitely should have been a pass. I had a small, humble pie... And that really redeemed this place. Their pizza was amazing! Happy hour pricing is lackluster. Only $2 off overpriced appetizers. It is pretty chilly inside, so dress in layers. Apps came quickly, but the pizzas took a little too long.

Justin is so attentive and super amazing. Food is delicious AND it's all from the GLUTEN FREE MENU!!!!! Yes. Always a go to spot. Always the best service and now with GF options. But Justin really was welcoming. We can't wait to come back!

This is best place in town for anything VGK, food, and incredible staff . My wife and I go 1 to 3 times a week here! Love and know all the staff. Customer service and VGK over the top experience!!!

I've been here many times since the opened. I love the poutine burger, and the kids mac and cheese pizza. But, my favorite was the Foodie Fare menu...those fries with the mac and cheese and pulled pork were perfection! please bring them back, corporate! I have now enjoyed the Chicken and Apple flatbread, and last night the corn nachos were back! Plus, the Glacier Sunset is one of my favorite cocktails! so yeah, 5 stars but bring the fries back please!

Perfect early lunch spot on a weekday with a gal pal! We love sitting above the ice rink, drinking beer and catching up. The food is good. Flatbread pizza and reuben sandwich are my go to meals. Highly recommend this casual dining experience!

Poor service and if you don't know someone, you don't matter. We were at the arena at 10:45 am, aware they did not open until 11, we were waiting in the stands waiting for VGK practice to start. At 10:50 a gentlemen walked in and had a seat at the bar. We then walked in and were told they weren't open so we went back out. The guy then walked out with a cup of coffee that he was just served. At exactly 11am we walked back in tofind all the seats along g the windows already full and being served. I guess you need to know someone to get even a cup of coffee. This might sound petty, but shows how they treat customers

OMG i love this place! The ambience is brilliant and there is no better environment to watch a VGK game than right here! Our host/server was Justin, and i must say that he had just the right amount of attentiveness and energy for the occasion. The food was wonderful and plentiful. The courses were well spaced so that we could talk, watch, and eat without being hurried. At under $200 ( that includes drinks) for a party of four, the experience was also affordable. I am impressed.

Came here with a very large group of friends and had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious and the potions are big. We had the most amazing waitress whose name is Jessica. I don't know how she kept our orders straight, our drinks filled and a smile on her face the whole time. After all that, she was able to give all 20 of us separate checks. Can't wait to come back.

Great place to watch hockey. The TV and the sound at times are a little "off", so is annoying. Justin, Tommy, and Theresa are the best They take care of you if your order comes out wrong due to the turnover of chefs in this current year ;( Favorites - BBQ chicken pizza, chicken chili, and Lodgepoles.

I arranged the company holiday party at Mackenzie River and couldn't be happier!!! Everything went wonderfully, the food was amazing, the service was fantastic...above and beyond and the ambiance was perfect! It was a fabulous experience and a shout out to Jessica, Sebastian and Chef "J" for making the evening perfect! Wouldn't change a thing!

On a busy night I can see the wait for a bartender but we waited 25 min trying to get the attention of a bartender and there are three. This location is shit. I much rather spend my time at the Henderson location. The bartender Sarah there is always in point. I love the facility but please get your bartenders moving. In 25 min I could have had 2 bees instead I just gave up and paid. Next time it's gonna be a BYOB night.

BEWARE! We stopped by Wednesday afternoon for lunch. Supposedly kids eat free with an adult entree purchase of $13 or more. Numerous things wrong with this place. First off, our waitress was rude and had zero customer service skills to the point that we inconvenienced her with our presence. Secondly, food was disgusting. My wife ordered fish and chips which were extremely fishy tasting and burnt in the fryer. I should've sent it back. I ordered a burger that tasted like a Costco frozen patty. Then to top it off I get handed a bill with only one kids meal comped when they advertise a free kids meal with an adult entree of $13 or more, we purchased two adult entrees. I questioned the server and she tells me one free kids meal per check? Management needs to retrain this incompetent server. Don't waste your time giving this place your hard earned money only to get crappy food and crappy service.

The service here is AMAZING, the staff is the absolute best, the atmosphere is great, and I've never ever ordered anything here that doesn't taste phenomenal! Whatever that dumb Anthony guy said in his review was not true!

Went for lunch on a Thursday and we walked right in. It was overally pretty empty. We decided to sit against the glass looking out onto the ice. I was kind of surprised how big the actual restaurant was. Seems like it would be an awesome place for a large group to watch a game. I also was suprised how large the meunu was, a lot of options. I ordered A large Greek Salad which was good. I recommend getting it with the grilled chicken. Overall good expereince. I would like to go back for a game to see how busy it actually gets.

Well....... I wanted so badly to rate this place higher. We had our end of the year party here and it seemed like everyone had a great time. The food was great. The reserved space was great. However, the bartender, Justin, not so great! That guy must really hate his job or just hate people in general. I heard several comments from our group about his customer service or lack of. What a shame. Go Knights Go! Do better, Justin!!!

We are new Las Vegas residents and absolutely love coming to Mackenzie's for hockey games and social hour. It's always a positive experience with other patrons, the staff and the food is always top notch. I haven't had anything I didn't like. The bartenders, servers, food runners, busers and management have always been kind and helpful and we've yet to have a bad experience after probably 15 times visiting since we moved (mostly for hockey games). We LOVE that it's non-smoking too!!!

Justin is a great bartender! He is super friendly and attentive. Flatbread is very good too.

There is no reservation at this place normally. I tried twice today. I'll be spending my $250 + at Lucille's BBQ where they go overboard to make sure you're happy. Ba-bye MRP Your management style sucks.

Been waiting for this one. We ordered Ol 'pioneer burger and the spicy chicken sandwich today. All the food took about 40 minutes to come out, even though it was not busy. Burger was drilled completely over cooked well done with a hard scab of neglect around it. No cheesy bacon pockets as described in the burger description, but it was dry and lifeless with no flavor. Spicy Chicken was flavorless (pineapple salsa was nonexistent and not much BBQ flavor as described although better than the burger still a major disappointment. All and all we waited way to long for food this bad. The wait staff never asked how the food was and I got the sense they knew it was bad and urged us out. After 2 years waiting to try this place, I can assure you I will not be back, one of the worst meal experiences I've had in quite a while.

The food here is typical bar food. It was good and a bit on the pricy side. They carry a good beer selection. The highlight of our meal was we were able to watch the golden knights practice. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but would eat here if I was at the arena....

Wow! I ordered a bowl of French Onion soup 40 minutes ago and I'm still waiting! On top of that the place is DEAD! How do they stay in business???

The food and atmosphere was great! Happened to go there when a women's hockey tournament was going on-still excellent food and service!

Was very surprised by this location. Never knew it was there till i went and the food was really good too. Enjoyed watching people practice hockey too
