Visited Macondo (Doral) on a Sunday, and it was a great experience (it's at the corner of a mid-size shopping center, and there was plenty of available parking on the Sunday (June 23, 2024) that I went).
This place is a mix between a cafe, a restaurant, and a modern cafeteria. As soon as you walk in, you'll see a giant chalkboard menu to the right, well-designed for easy viewing while waiting to order. Once you place your order, you'll receive a number to take to any available table.
The food was fantastic! Fresh, flavorful, and just right.
* El Gringo wrap was amazing, especially with picante sauce (my husband's favorite).
* The guava croissant cookie was a pleasant surprise, warm and fresh. (I personally enjoy sweet guava desserts, so if you not into guava this may not be your thing, but I always recommend trying everything once--you never know).
* Dulce de leche pancakes were delicious, not too sweet or heavy.
*The avocado toast was fresh and tasty.
* I had a cappuccino with almond milk (no sugar), which was awesome.
*My husband ordered an iced matcha with almond milk, and it was excellent, smooth without the usual matcha aftertaste.
* We also had freshly squeezed orange juice, which was naturally fresh and not overly sweet.
There was a live singer, singing and playing acoustic guitar, which was a nice surprise.
I definitely recommend anyone to check out Macondo (Doral)!
