"Tucked away in an unassuming street is Macondo, an unexpected surprise in Doral. Its brightly lit seating area is ideal for taking eyes off a screen and reading old, dusty pages from a book. But since we're on the topic of free Wifi, there's that, too." - Greyceli Marin, Olee Fowler

Google
Macondo has a welcoming vibe and a beautifully designed space that’s perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. The staff is attentive, and the service is prompt, which I genuinely appreciated. However, I found the coffee a bit underwhelming. It lacked the rich flavor and body I usually expect, which was a bit disappointing considering the otherwise great atmosphere. That said, it’s still a nice spot if you’re looking for a pleasant setting and good service.

Google
Macondo Coffee Roasters in Doral is a gem for coffee lovers. I had their latte, which was not only beautifully crafted with latte art but also incredibly rich and smooth in flavor. I also tried the omelet, which was perfectly fluffy and packed with just the right amount of fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was busy yet inviting, capturing the charm of a true local coffee spot. A great place to enjoy quality coffee and a well-prepared breakfast!

Google
Amazing service, food, and aesthetics. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even showed my friend and I how they make their latte art for a project I was doing.

Google
The food was delicious. Valentina was amazing friendly and took the time to explained the coffee and sandwich’s. I would definitely come back.

I have been coming here for over 10 years. There are plenty of delicious vegetarian food options. The atmosphere is really cozy and relaxing. Sometimes on Saturdays they have live music which is always nice. This is a great place to come study, read a book or just chill. The menu has so many different options, there is definitely something for everyone. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. I always leave very happy 😊

One of the best coffee shops I’ve been to in Miami. Got food drinks and had great atmosphere with someone playing the saxophone live. Highly recommend coming here!

The Ambiance: Lovely, with an old fire coffee roaster and great decorations. The Staff: Polite and welcoming. The Food: Delicious, with unique flavors. Pet Friendly: Unsure Accessibility: Excellent. Plenty of parking and easy to access off the road. But I’ll bet it gets busy during the week. I was here on Sunday. Overall: Highly recommended. Great food, coffee, and service in a charming setting.

One of the best pumpkin oat milk latte and bacon, egg & cheese crossiant sandwiches I’ve ever had. Garage parking is available because street parking almost impossible. Great service and very artsy and rustic.

Yelp
If you are ever in the Miami area come check this place out!! Their coffee is amazing! They also have a variety of breakfast and pastries. The service was excellent and the gentlemen that attended us was very kind, friendly and made us feel like family. The ambiance is very relaxed! Come check them out!!

Yelp
Visited Macondo (Doral) on a Sunday, and it was a great experience (it's at the corner of a mid-size shopping center, and there was plenty of available parking on the Sunday (June 23, 2024) that I went). This place is a mix between a cafe, a restaurant, and a modern cafeteria. As soon as you walk in, you'll see a giant chalkboard menu to the right, well-designed for easy viewing while waiting to order. Once you place your order, you'll receive a number to take to any available table. The food was fantastic! Fresh, flavorful, and just right. * El Gringo wrap was amazing, especially with picante sauce (my husband's favorite). * The guava croissant cookie was a pleasant surprise, warm and fresh. (I personally enjoy sweet guava desserts, so if you not into guava this may not be your thing, but I always recommend trying everything once--you never know). * Dulce de leche pancakes were delicious, not too sweet or heavy. *The avocado toast was fresh and tasty. * I had a cappuccino with almond milk (no sugar), which was awesome. *My husband ordered an iced matcha with almond milk, and it was excellent, smooth without the usual matcha aftertaste. * We also had freshly squeezed orange juice, which was naturally fresh and not overly sweet. There was a live singer, singing and playing acoustic guitar, which was a nice surprise. I definitely recommend anyone to check out Macondo (Doral)!

Yelp
The Pan de bono we had ordered was so hard thar they exchanged it for tequeños. That were also dried and I couldn't eaten them. Bad experience and the place it is not cheap

Yelp
Hmmm....where do I start? From the outside, Macondo seemed like another hole-in -the-wall on the corner of a small shopping strip surrounded by warehouses with 16-wheeler trucks buzzing by. However, when I opened the door to the place, the intoxicating aroma of freshly brewed coffee made me forget the outside world and all my worries, ahhhhh....and the ambiance was chill with some people busily working on their laptops. The wood decor gave the place a warm fuzzy feel. The order counter was directly facing the entrance door and the menu is high up on the right on a huge blackboard neatly written in by hand. There were all kinds of delicious dishes including an assortment of vegan meals. I placed my order at the counter, paid, and was given an order number on a stick and instructed to place it on the table of my choice. Soon thereafter, the food was brought to my table. The hot mocha and my husband's cappuccino was deliciously flavorful. The food seasoning made my heart sing. The servers were courteous and responsive. Lovely place to visit at least once. However, I plan to come by regularly in the near future!

Yelp
I've been here several times actually! Love this place is so cute and quaint! I love the ambiance, and the food is amazing as well, the quinoa arepa, the pan de bono, the coffee, the avocado toast? I love it! And of course the service is great as well!

Amauri C.

Yelp
Muito bom restaurante! Atendimento amigável! Comida muito boa! Experimentem o café "americano " feito com café colombiano!

Lilly M.

Yelp
I don't do a lot of 5 stars mainly because I'm just honest and old school. But this place has caught my attention. First off, I am a coffee girl and the Carmel Frappe was good. Then the Egg bacon and cheese croissant was absolutely delicious and that's coming from a picky eater especially food I didn't make myself. The restaurant itself had a little too much going on, but it was cute and I can grasp what they are trying to say by the decor and energy the restaurant holds. The staff was adorable in the sense of being calm and all smiles which we all know in Miami, that is rare these days. I will definitely be heading back for more and recommending to everyone. Thank you for a great experience.

Kristin S.

Yelp
Cute space with indoor seating. Coffee was good and my Ironman dish was decent. I just wish the potatoes were more seasoned. Plenty of parking. Service was fast!

Katherine V.

Yelp
One of my favorite places for breakfast during the week! They open early, service is fast and friendly and the food is delicious. One of my favorite drinks is the Chai Latte, they make the best one in Doral for me! They recently did some changes in the decor and it looks even better than before. They have new items in the menu that are worth to try! Tip: is also a great place for a work meeting or to work for a little while, they have comfortable spaces and wifi.

Sofia K.

Yelp
We wanted to grab some coffee before hitting the road and found this Cuban coffee shop. The coffee is phenomenal. Perfectly roasted and barely acidic. Would 100% recommend it. Also ordered a slice of guava cake and chicken fajita empanada. Unfortunately, both were super dry. The cake also tasted as if it was made several days prior. The service was great and the ambiance is quite unique. You're truly able to disconnect.

Jonathan L.

Yelp
Family of five enjoyed everything we ordered. We will probably come back again before we fly back to California.

Mike B.

Yelp
I had the eggs sandwich and it was delicious. The service excellent, the wait time for the food was 10 min. It was 9 am on a Saturday just a little busy. The ambiance was woody coffee house vibes. I would definitely go back. The prices were a little high but the quality of the food and coffee was excellent.

Danny P.

Yelp
Happy New Year, my fellow Yelp friends! A couple of days ago, I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Macondo Coffee Roasters, and I'm glad I did. This place is a Colombian coffee shop that only uses imported Colombian coffee beans, and the decor is very unique to that country. We got there exactly when the place opened, and there were already about 7-8 people in line ordering. Service was extremely fast, and they were able to work through the line, all the while keeping superb customer service. I was impressed with how friendly all the employees were! We had the latte and cappuccino, and both were great. We also ordered two iron man breakfast plates, which were delicious! Everyone needs to try the arepas de queso, fire! I definitely will be coming back in the next few days.

Angela P.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop! Friendly service and they go the extra mile to make sure you order the right thing. They have alot of options. Place was busy, but lots of comfortable seating and a great place to relax and hang out!

Minerva M.

Yelp
Macondo Coffees is a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts seeking top-quality brews. The unique interior decorations create a charming atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. Their selection of pastries and sweets, including gluten-free and sugar-free options, is impressive and delicious. I can't get enough of this place! Whether you're in the area or just passing by, stopping in for a quick coffee is definitely worth it. You won't regret indulging in the delightful offerings at Macondo Coffee

Jaleelah M.

Yelp
if there's one thing colombians are the best at, it's coffee (not biased. just facts) and the cold brew from here is top notch. (esp on a hot a and humid day, craving something refreshing). I tried the caribbean cold brew today, and it exceeded my expectations. It's flavorful and perfect if u want something other than just a simple coffee, but also something that isn't super sweet. It's the perfect balance between a flavored coffee, if u like bananas u will def like this, best way to describe it is as a banana blended with coffee tbh (which is what i think it is.) I will be ordering this again!!

Cruze Gilbert G.

Yelp
I don't speak Spanish, but the staff were still extremely helpful and nice despite that. Place is cozy and vibrant with people who come to chill, work and study.

Adele R.

Yelp
How sad to say that although the food was tasty the service today was very mid. I've never been treated so rudely and cold at this establishment. It's one of my favorites and have been going for years so to be attended to with such disdain was very off putting. It really left me with a bad taste. Very upsetting.

Sasha D.

Yelp
I love coming here for the coffee, and the food. Everything is super fresh and delicious here. The service is nice as well, straight to the point. I had to deduct points because I was honestly shocked by the fact that I ordered Colombian empanadas and they did not come with aji. Aji is the sauce that typically comes with Colombian empanadas. I went to go ask if I could have aji, and she said if I want aji its $1. I'm Colombian and in all my years ordering Colombian empanadas I have never once been charged for aji... usually it's at the table for everyone. Either way... they could've at least offered to add the sauce to the order before I left. Tbh I just found this super odd.... But the coffee was fantastic as per usual.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Top notch coffee! I totally recommend for quality coffee and a great experience. Food: A great spot to grab some pastries or breakfast. Service: 5 stars The service was excellent. Super sweet staff that was helpful with questions on the menu and made you feel at home Ambiance: 5 stars A great coffee shop feel that makes you want to stay and get comfortable. It's great for meet ups, a spot to enjoy a quality coffee and conversation.

Leslie A.

Yelp
People were very nice Place is cute Smells good- maybe I should just have had black coffee, but I ordered a cappuccino and my husband ordered a double macchiato. Both tasted like milk and not coffee. Very disappointing

Blanca M.

Yelp
This place looks very rustic Colombian, to the point that a Colombian said, "I feel like I've gone back home." Photos of novelist Gabriel García Marquez are on the wall along with quotes from literature. It's quiet on weekdays but full (with no wait for us) on Sunday after church. Still, the ambiance was very low key. Tried the iced latte and it was pretty decent. Good coffee. Also had the oat and quinoa arepa with mozzarella. It was...interesting. I'm. It sure I can cal it an arepa, more like an un-sweet pancake or even flatbread for sandwiches. Probably would not get it again. The oat pancakes taste very light and it's a healthy choice for those who are GF. The fruit give it a bit more depth and flavor.

Bill S.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times now and I really love this place. The people behind the counter are great, offer suggestions if you ask and everything they bring you is great. What a cool spot to hang out, have some breakfast and drink some coffee.

Rafael B.

Yelp
Always a great experience eating at Macondo. Makes you feel at home every time. The food is always on point, delicious and fresh.

Nelson R.

Yelp
cool little spot with nice relaxed vibe -- a mix if coffee shop and lunch spot. nice ambiance. the service was very nice and thoughtful about recommendations and explaining the differences between certain products (e.g. latte v flat white). had a cookie which was decent, did not have any of the food. would definitely return!

Kristen A.

Yelp
The service is very good! Staff is pleasant and they are helpful. The food is good! The spinach empanada and tequenos are great! The place is big and spacious and it would be nice for a breakfast/lunch with co-workers or friends.

Jasmen R.

Yelp
A very cute morning stop for coffee and breakfast, in a shopping plaza. We arrived to a long line (almost out the door) on the weekend, and the food was well worth the wait. Delicious coffee, breakfast food, and pastries combined with a musician on a guitar made Macondo Coffee Roaster a perfect find.

Rodney C.

Yelp
Friendly service. Excellent coffee and flat bread sandwiches. The ambiance is welcoming and charming in a rustic way.

Matthew O.

Yelp
I have to say, this was quite the excellent coffee! The people that work here a super friendly and really efficient with their service. I also love the laid back ambiance this restaurant and coffee shop gives off. I got a Iced Coffee with Coconut Milk and it was deliciously refreshing! I love the creaminess of the coconut milk against the bitter and floral notes of the coffee. The slight sweetness and coconut flavor gives this coffee a very tropical feel, very fitting for Miami. All in all, an excellent place to stop by for coffee :)

Shirley F.

Yelp
Great cozy spot for breakfast. Lots of seating so you can also stay to work however not too many outlets if you need to plug your device in Staff was friendly and patient as this was my first time, even taking the time to make recommendations. Felt welcomed from the moment I walked in It's not cheap but Prices are fair. Menu has so many options so you will not feel limited I know they are known for their coffee but I did not enjoy the expresso at all. My sister got it for herself and we thought that if she tried something else it would be better so she got a caramel macchiato. It did take along time to get to us but they were apologetic for the wait but unfortunately it tasted just like the expresso which is weird because I got a caramel latte and it tasted great. I got a bacon egg and cheese on croissant. It was more like crumbled pieces of bacon. And in general it lacked salt. Still decent. My sister got an omelette with sausage, cheese and spinach. The sausage appeared to be hotdogs and it seemed more like a folded egg with ingredients in it. The blueberry muffin was delicious I would come back and try different items on the menu

José A.

Yelp
I love this coffee shop! MENU It offers a wide variety of coffee drinks, pastries and food. We ordered lattes, baked empanadas, the bagel with salmon and slices of cakes (dulce de leche and coconut). Everything was delicious!! VIBE This coffee shop is located in Doral, which is right next to Miami, and the vibe is diverse and awesome! There was live music during brunch on a Sunday morning. Nice! LOCATION It's centrally located in a plaza with its own free parking lot. Overall, 100% recommended.

Luis C.

Yelp
Came for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Great food, great ambiance and great service! Wish there was one closer to my house.

Barbara M.

Yelp
We frequently order lunch for the office, and overall, the food has been quite good. However, our recent experience with the Campesina Casserole was a bit disappointing. It didn't match our expectations based on the menu picture.

Shantall S.

Yelp
Came here for the first time for lunch, and absolutely loved this little spot. The way it looks, the way it smells like coffee beans, the sounds of coffee makers and people talking - just so cute. The person at the front recommended I try this sandwich BUT to add avocado and boy was he right. That sandwich was sooooo good. Perfect size too, it filled me up and i'm not unbuttoning my jeans. They have so many options on their menu. Def recommend.

Winnie H.

Yelp
This place is super cute, the staff are nice. I came just to relax and have a latte. They sell coffee beans and I was told that the beans are sourced from small farms in Colombia. I am so glad that I found this coffee spot, definitely will return and try different items on the menu.

Lucia P.

Yelp
I was a frequent flyer at Macondo a few years ago but have only come twice in the last year as I moved further away from the Doral area. Macondo is always a great coffee shop/restaurant to visit. It's vibrant, fun decor, and lots of food and drink options. I have to say their coffee remains top notch and consistent! Great flavor and balance. There's a few ways to order it too. Aero press, drip, espresso with an array of flavors (if that's your thing). The food menu has lots of options as well. From breakfast, lunch-dinner. Many pastries too. Unfortunately, my usual order has declined in quality recently. I was a huge fan of their breakfast sandwich and potatoes but it hasn't been the best. Over cooked eggs and undercooked potatoes. I might try something different next time to see if it's just that order. Staff is also nice and helpful most of the time. They are usually quite busy so make time as it may not be quick in and out.

Alex R.

Yelp
We came for breakfast. The live music was great, the vibe is chill. I ordered a campesina casserole and my lady ordered an arepa. You can't go wrong with an arepa at a Colombian restaurant and the campesina was delicious. The place is clean and flowing very smoothly. The only drawback was it took almost 30 minutes to get our food but overall great. I'll try again for lunch and see if anything changes.

Emily D.

Yelp
We found this place looking for a coffee shop ,it was a pleasant surprise, we initially came for coffee but we ended up having lunch here. I had a bowl called mi Tierra and my husband had a Italian chicken sandwich and ice latte. After lunch I ended up ordering a macchiato and I really like the coffee taste. I can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu.

Christopher R.

Yelp
Stopped by the Doral location after hearing rave reviews about the Kendall location. We had just finished a workout class and were in the mood for filling and semi-healthy eats. Being pressed for time, we opted for a to-go order, but we plan on coming back to sit and dine in soon in the future.

Mari L.

Yelp
Great place and a pretty decent menu where you can find something for even the pickiest person. I love their coffee, so many varieties. The employees are very nice.

Otty B.

Yelp
The containers are great and the take out order is organized. Unfortunately the estimate is not accordingly when you order take out. The food was cold and the Colombian beef and chicken empanadas unfortunately different taste. Thank you

Anna M.

Yelp
I was in the area and I found this spot on Yelp. It's the perfect spot to work/ co work and has a lot of variety on the menu. I just opted for the coffee but the staff was very nice and quick.

Lilly M.

Yelp
Cozy casual little cafe with a good menu and very interesting inviting decor. The service was friendly when you walk in you order, take your number on a stick, and then find a table they will bring you the food. I ordered the Fabio's favorite breakfast which was eggs, spinach, avocado, feta, and tomato over toast but I added bacon. It was very challenging to eat without looking like you haven't been fed in days but it was delicious! My partners meal the iron man was a more traditional breakfast with all the classics like bacon, eggs, sausages, potatoes and toast it was all fresh and tasty. My caramel cappuccino was adorable and perfect amount of caramel flavor I didn't have to add any sugar. I didn't try the cake but he seemed to enjoy it he finished the whole thing. I'd definitely go back.

Alex R.

Yelp
Ordered a pumpkin spice latte and it came out quickly and with great presentation, temperature and taste. Like that it wasn't overly sweet. Also they had live music which was a nice touch.

Sally R.

Yelp
Cozy coffee shop with friendly staff. I have been coming for years and I still enjoy it. These guys brew some delicious hand brewed coffee and offer great treats. The menu is short but good. They have sandwiches, pizzas, wraps, areas, empanadas, bowls and more. I also enjoy the sweets. They have many homemade sweets and specialty cookies. Some traditional Colombian treats are available. Gluten and dairy free options are also available. I enjoyed the Italian chicken sandwich, the alfaroles, and almond cake. I also enjoyed the coffees: cold brewed, chemex or aeropress. If you are a coffee aficionado this may be a place for you. They have French press, aeropress, dropper, chemex, and all the traditional expresso based drinks like cappuccino, latte, etc. This great coffee shop is a bit pricey but definitely a place to visit in Doral. Tips: Plenty of parking Live music somedays Delicious freshly brewed coffee Strong cold brew

Hector R.

Yelp
One of the best places in doral to have breakfast or lunch. Healthy options and a pretty big menu with many options. Prices are pretty fair but not cheap. They really don't miss with the quality of food and the service is always outstanding. Only thing is it gets really packed and sometimes there is not tables available so you have to wait a bit. I had another great experience this morning food came out quick and it was delicious!

Miroslava R.

Yelp
Siempre tenemos la mejor experiencia en Macondo, congratulations team good job.kudos para ustedes .

Troy P.

Yelp
This place is great if you are looking for a non chain coffee shop. They offer multiple ways to brew fresh coffee, however they only have 1 varietal of beans. The staff was very friendly, and they know how to make a perfect cappuccino. Inside the shop was plenty of comfortable seating and an overall nice ambiance.

Olivia M.

Yelp
The iced coffee here actually tastes like coffee!! The vibe is very relaxing and spacious. Most cafes are very work oriented but this one gives you space to both work and hang out. They had an acoustic musician who really made this experience much better!

Amanda S.

Yelp
The food is always delicious. I especially love the empanada selections. I was in line for 10 minutes at 8am and the girls in front of me were taking forever to order. Don't go here if you have a quick break & need to get back to work. I had to leave and go somewhere else. Maybe ordering online would have helped. The ordering walk up system is slow and inefficient.
