Had dinner at Madam Ji Ki Shaadi and absolutely loved the food. We ordered the kebab tasting, Malabar shrimp curry, and smoked tandoori chicken biryani—everything tasted great. The lamb seekh kebab deserves a special mention: easily the best I’ve had in the US. It was incredibly soft, packed with flavor, and not chewy at all. Truly outstanding. The only downside was the portion size, especially for the kebab tasting—it could’ve been a bit more generous. Overall, fantastic food and a great experience. Would definitely recommend.

My friend and I enjoyed our dinner at Madam Ji on a Tuesday evening and we were on of the only ones in the entire restaurant - usually a red flag, but our meal exceeded my expectations! For $65, you get a welcome drink (sparkling wine), appetizers, a full thali meal, and dessert. They have a fully vegetarian option, which I appreciated. And I must say, I loved everything on my plate - all the dishes were incredibly flavorful, although my favorite items were the Chili Gobi (fried cauliflower in a tasty chili sauce) and the Truffle Kofta. The restaurant does offer a la carte, but the wedding tasting allows you to try a bit of everything for a very reasonable price. The restaurant itself is very casual and nothing fancy, so no need to dress for a wedding to have the wedding meal experience!

Everything was so amazing! The food was delicious, the service was incredible, the drinks were so strong, they had no problem with us staying past close time (don’t do this) our server Rama was so so attentive and nice but the whole staff was so sweet

I was craving some Indian food since I was returning to the city from Upstate New York when we stumbled upon this restaurant. I wanted to eat an affordable lunch that is also hearty and worth my money and this restaurant delivers it all. The restaurant is so pretty on the outside and inside. The person who served us is so kind and patient. My friend and I both got the lamb combo for the lunch set and we added the garlic naan for 3 dollars. We both got the mango lassi which was so fresh and delicious. And when I asked if they can serve us gulab jamun outside dinner, they were able to serve my request!

Came for their lunch special last week and had the Lamb Rogan Josh for $15. It was so tasty and the server Rana was very attentive and respectful. I decided to come again today and bring my family (including a 3 month baby). Rana was there to serve us again. He was extremely helpful , making sure that we have what we needed for the baby and of course, the food was incredible. We ordered lots of items from the Happy Hour menu : fried okra, masala fries were our fav and of course mango lassi! For the meal, our fav were the kebab samplers, the daal, aloo ghobi and the slow cooked mutton! I also ordered the Rogan Josh which wasn’t on the dinner menu and Rana made it happen. Left feeling very satisfied and will definitely come again.

One of the better vegetarian tasting menu in the city. The quantity was good to satiate your hunger. Tangy, spicy and flavorful! Good job shef Abhi! Look forward to being a regular whenever I am in city …

Came here for the tasting menu. The decor was beautiful. The service was good as well. We used a pulsd deal. They initially did not want to take the pulsd because they said that the voucher had to be purchased the day before. When we told them that this wasn't mentioned on the fine print they explained that they had a problem with the system and would take the number of the voucher and process it later. The ordeal put an initial damper on the night. As for the food, it was plentiful. I loved the dhal and the saag paneer. I've had better Indian food but this was a good value with the pulsd.

This restaurant popped up on my Instagram and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, Rana greeted us warmly, explained the menu, and recommended some amazing dishes. The vibes were absolutely incredible. Our server Rana was super attentive and made the experience even better. My favorites were definitely the dhal with garlic naan and the slow-cooked Mutton Royal. A lot of places don't get their mutton right, but this place absolutely does! The Madam Ji Gobi was also delicious this is definitely something I'll be ordering again. My friends and I had a wonderful time, and I can't wait to come back and try the chicken biryani. This spot is truly a must-visit. The décor is stunning too! If you've ever wanted to feel like you're at an Indian wedding, this is the place. It's the best of both worlds, amazing food and a beautiful atmosphere.

We came for a late tasting menu and were blown away. It's rare to finish a tasting menu feeling completely full, but this was one of those times where I actually needed a to-go box. Every dish was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We missed out on one item, but the vegetarian option that was offered instead was excellent. The entire experience felt special, from the presentation to the flavors. Highly recommend both the restaurant and the tasting menu experience. If I ever needed a caterer, Madame Ji Ki Shaadi would be my first call.

I just moved around the corner, and this place is definitely my new go-to for Indian food! Everything I've tried has been delicious. I've ordered from them a few times through the TooGoodToGo app, and it's such a great value -- only $5.43 for a generous, tasty meal! I've gotten chicken and rice as well as paneer (my favorite!) with rice. My new hack: order the TooGoodToGo meal and add an order of garlic naan to go with it -- it's perfect together! I definitely want to come back soon for a full sit-down dinner. The staff is so kind, and the restaurant itself has a really nice ambiance. Highly recommend their masala chai, too!

Let me start off by saying the food is fine. I was excited to try the pav bhaji sliders, and the mac and cheese samosas (x2) upon arriving. But the service is atrocious. The gratuity is automatically added and I understand why. Absolutely *no one* would tip if given the option. I had one of the least positive dining experiences ever here. First off, we went for Sunday brunch. There were maybe 6 people (3 separate parties) in the entire restaurant. It took the waiter 20 minutes to bring our first drink, which was a poorly mixed mimosa style carafe (blueberry flavor though, not orange, although regular mimosa is an option). We ordered right away before he told us the kitchen was closing. They first brought out the app and then the entree. And then brought out the wrong entree. But the real issue with the service is that we absolutely could not get anyone's attention between drinks. I think someone came over twice to get drink in the 90 minutes we were there. And when I say I couldn't get anyone's attention, it went from looking around to see if we could catch anyone's eyes, to waving to catch anyone's eye, to waving both hands wildly above my head (no response) to just standing up and going over to the waiter--who was just standing at the bar (not servicing any other tables) to get his attention. The second time we tried to get someone's attention, someone at another table finally caught our eye and waved down the waiter and pointed him to our table. We also did the bottomless special (which comes in carafe and when we asked to the other flavor) we were told our time was up--which is fine, except for the fact that we'd been trying to get our waiter's attention for 40 minutes out of the 80 minutes we were there. Finally, when you check in on Yelp, they offer you a seasonal drink/shot. So we asked our waiter about it and asked for one shot each. He took about 15 minutes to bring those over (again, two or three parties in the restaurant at the time, for a total of six people), and when we asked what kind of drink it was, he told us it was a "lemon drop". A lemon drop is a specific drink. It is *not* any drink or shot that happens to have lemon in it, FYI. The icing on top of the cake is that there was a table near us who we overheard saying to the staff "we work in hospitality and we have some feedback for you." So it seems very clear, we weren't the only people who had a negative experience. The restaurant has since changed its name, but I suspect nothing else has changed.

In every way, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. When you walk in, you'll immediately notice the peaceful, beautiful ambiance filled with floral visuals, art of gods and goddesses and the scent of light incense. Our waitress, Suvee, was so sweet. She had a great energy and was very kind and accommodating. We happened to be the only ones there for most of our meal and it was a pleasure to have her there with us. We game for the chef's tasting and used a pulsd voucher, which included the following. 1 Chef's Tasting Menu For Two (a $70 value): Onion Bhaji. Butter Chicken. Chana Masala. Saag Paneer. Sides: Garlic Naan & Chutneys. Rice Pudding. 1 Bottle of House Selected Red, White or Sparkling Wine (up to a $40 value). Genuinely, everything was amazing. It was a good mix of pickled items, sweet items, and hearty savory items. I was thrilled by the selection and it's more than enough food. I recommend!

The food was amazing. The kebab sampler was great, and the butter chicken was top of the line. I also drank 3 mango lassi. 100% recommend for quality and clean.

Ate here for a Greenwich Village food tour - service and people were hospitable and friendly. Butter chicken and mojito were very yummy. Small but cozy ambiance. Thank you!

My first time going back to Madam Ji since their new remodel into an Indian wedding inspired space + menu. For $65 you get 3 apps, a full thali (veg or non veg), dessert, welcome pani puri and rose champagne. You can also get cocktail pairings for an additional $35. Everything was delicious and the staff was so kind. They even play wedding inspired music! Enjoy!

Very cute brunch place and best part is they have some great deals! We did their deal for bottomless mimosas and brunch for $49 for two- and they do deliver. We just had endless pitchers of mango and orange mimosas- The deal also offers a main entree. All in all really good for money. Ambiance is really great and servers are nice. Would love to go again! Food was good too(Chollay bathurai+chicken tikka sandwich are best). If you are in for a desi brunch with nice ambiance-this place is it!!

Its a lot of food! Came here on a Sunday evening, resy only allowed for pre-fixe reservations. They had 3 appetizers, followed by a big thali spread. My friend and I were pretty full after the appetizers, we could have stopped eating. Its an overwhelming amount of food....come hungry! The gajar halwa was the highlight of the meal and I dont even have a sweet tooth!

Cute decor, more of a place to grab drinks. You could probably get better Indian food around the corner in a smaller place but I guess you come here for the ambiance. The bar tender was very friendly and gave us free seasonal shots with our help check-in. Portions were ok for me but I can see it being considered small for some other people.

Came here for bottomless. Although it was pricey, the food and drinks were great! They played really good music and the floor was cleared to allow people to dance/have fun. Service was attentive and whenever the drinks were empty, they refilled it pretty quickly.

Met my husband here after an event for dinner. The place had cool vibes. We sat by the bar and were chatting with other patrons as well as the bartender. The staff are friendly and helpful when it came to order drinks and food. We ordered baigan bharta crostini and Shahi meat tandoori board. Both dishes were flavorful and delicious. The baigan bharta appetizer reminded me of home. And the tandoori board is enough for 2-3 people it just depends on how hungry you are and reasonably priced for the amount of meat pieces you are given. Besides the meat, they also included goat cheese naan which was different and delicious. As well as 4 dipping sauces. I'm looking forward to coming here again with friends and family to try other dishes. Their brunch menu has some interesting dishes as well. I definitely recommend this place for drinks and food.

On Google, their hours on Friday are 5pm - 11pm. We centered our entire night around being able to finish dinner at 11pm and then going directly to a concert across the street at Le Poisson Rouge for 11pm. When we arrived for our 930 reservation, the waitress immediately told us the kitchen was closing - this was not a problem. When the food came out, as we were still eating she put the check down at 10:13pm. We were shocked as we thought it was closing at 11pm. The staff informed us it was closing at 10:30, which was not a problem, but we did end up waiting outside in the cold for 30 minutes which we had tried avoiding. Overall, while I don't mind the wrong service hours on Google, I do mind the feeling of being rushed, especially when we were so excited to try Chef Abhishek's food and enjoy the restaurant. Food - The food itself was extremely flavorful, authentic - tasting, & delicious. If I didn't have a concert to go to next door, I would've stayed and eaten till I couldn't move. With that said, we ordered the tandoor platter and in comparison to other Yelp photos it seems as if we were not given a number of sauces and toppings. Additionally, everything was thrown onto the platter and the display was not as upscale as I would've hoped for $60. Still, very delicious. The lamb chops are the star of the dish! Drinks - 10/10 Service - 6/10. The male servers were great, the female server kept rushing us to leave and was not very pleasant. Atmosphere - upscale modern indian, very beautiful decor Parking - street parking Vegan friendly - Yes Reservations highly recommended!

Restaurant is really cute. Love the decor, colors and wallpaper, and all the staff was really friendly. The brunch was bottomless and for unlimited drinks it was a good surprise that the mimosas were as good as they were (I've had my fair share of bad ones at other bottomless brunch places in the city) I also like that you can choose between orange juice and mango. We ordered a few appetizers. I loved the kale & bhajia bites, so good. The samosa chaat was okay. There was a lot going on with flavors but it tasted like it was missing something. The main I ordered was the chole bhature which was good and filling and the bread was really fluffy which I liked. I also ordered garlic naan which I liked a lot. I did hear that the brunch used to be a vibe, but today it was super quiet and we were the only ones there...it would def be a plus if you brought the brunch vibes back!!! I want to experience the dj and the fun bottomless crowded space that I heard about today. Make it happen!

I really liked the food here, it was just quite pricey for the portions. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share btwn 8 people for dinner, including the tandoori board, dehli style butter paneer, chicken biryani, and some eggplant dish i forgot the name of. My fav hands down was the tandoori board... so beautifully presented (see pic) and so good. The truffle goat cheese naan was amazing and the meats were all very tender. The rest were solid, not as good as some places (which are also less pricey) imo but still fine. My friends got drinks and said they were quite expensive and strong. There was also a free tequila shot with yelp check in fyi! Service was amazing. They gave us the wrong dish but let us keep both that one + the one we actually ordered. The server was also very attentive and food came out relatively quickly.

Pretty good food, very tasty and flavourful but still not enough... I would say the dishes are missing authenticity and the spices. Otherwise delicious. The prices are high. Butter Chicken $18, Saag Paneer $16, Rotti $4. Chai Rum with Yelp check-in. I would definitely love to come back.

We had a great dining experience at Madam Ji's. Authentic northern Indian food and a very pleasant wait staff at a reasonable price. Earlier in the week we went to a one star Michelin Indian restaurant and Madam Ji's was just as good or better. We had the kebab tasting (lots of food), Dal Tadka, Okra and Naan. Plenty to eat for two people. The masala chai was authentic as well.

I ordered delivery for lunch. The lunch specials included a main with a side of rice and naan. The naan was a full serving so it was a generous portion size. For my main, I got the paneer makhani. It was buttery and tasty, but a little light on the quantity of paneer. I asked for it to be made spicy but it didn't really have much of a kick. Still, I would order from them again because the lunch special was a decent deal.

I came here recently with my family to celebrate my sisters birthday. We had a really nice time -- and shared all the appetizers and mains family style. I can't speak to how traditional the food was, but I can say I left extremely full and happy.

Madam ji is your typical bohemian style Indian restaurant with an interesting menu, and a popular brunch spot near NYU. It's known for its bottomless mimosas that go well with the fusion food and is great if you come with your gang of friends. I tried their pav Bhaji Sliders, chole bhature and butter chicken sandwich - and was kinda underwhelmed with the taste and quality. The Bhaji had tad too much garam masala, the chole tasted sour/average and the butter chicken sandwich was dry with little makhni sauce to really hit the spot. The mimosas are decent - you can get orange, mango and blueberry. Definitely gets you tipsy in your third round. Service is quick and ambiance is okay - the place plays loud music and so not really a place to have an intimate conversation. Overall a decent place - keep your expectations low and voice high.

Great food, nice atmosphere, excellent service, reasonable price. The complete package! We'll be back.

To be upfront: this was a too good to go order, so I didn't necessarily choose this item. But I came to Madam Ji a couple of years ago when it opened, for a bottomless brunch and it was very fun! Food was fine, but it was really affordable and good environment. This time was a bit different, as on a Monday evening, it was pretty empty and the food quality (Paneer Butter Masala) was really only okay. Nothing too special, service was solid, but I don't think I'll necessarily come back because vibes were low.

We ordered the bottomless mimosa deal as well as an entree. As soon as the carafe is empty they ask you if you want more, they have a few flavor choices, we ordered the mango version, lets just say plenty of champagne. Everyone said their dishes were good, and quite filling as well. Music is playing throughout your dinner to get you in tge dancing mood. If you feel like you can get up and dance near the bar area. Definitely worth coming out here

decent food probably a good spot for bottomless but we only did regular lunch here. the best was the delhi paneer makhni but otherwise the food was okay. the pani puri water was sweet and the chipotle paneer was just fried paneer nothing special

The Indian wedding tasting menu was so fun and the food was so delicious and unique--not your usual Indian dishes that we're all familiar with. It's like an Indian version of Omakase, and you can choose meat or vegetarian. Service was excellent and the various dishes were perfectly timed to appear as we finished each item. When we left (stuffed) we were gifted with little gift bags with a sweet in each. A fun and totally unusual experience. Highly recommended!

Glad we stopped here to grab a quick drink from the outdoor bar . Drinks were so good decided on dining. We were seated right away. The outdoor seating was so beautiful and comfortable. For appetizer we shared the Sweet Potatoes Chat , didn't expect the taste to be so good. Followed that by the Delhi Kabab Platter,enough for 2 people to share. Platter consisted of Malai Kababs, Tandoori Tikka and Spinach and Cheese Naan. For the main , we shared the Delhi Dinner Thali , that had about 1 Mini app, 1 Bowl of rice , 3 Currys and Sweet Dessert with Naan. Definitely worth it for 2 people. Found this restaurant on Seated App and it did not disappoint! The portions were large and service was quick. Restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere

The food was amazing the service was great and the ambiance was amazing. I definitely would comeback but what I don't like is leaving a tip and being questioned if I left one. I left a tip and it looks like the waitress perhaps misplaced it which happens, it was a crazy day. But in turn we had to add an additional tip. She acted as if we didn't give her a tip in cash. I don't like that and it's like she was taking away from the other waitress which isn't fair to her. Definitely will come back but not on the weekends ever again...

I didn't know about this place but my cousins came with me to get some dinner. The second I checked in on Yelp I got the promotion that I could get a free seasonal shot with my entree. They gave me a tequila shot with lime that came with my mango lassie. I wish they had the salted lassie available, but the mango was amazing too. My family ordered so much food, and I got the chicken rice bowl. I got to try some potato and veggie-based sides too. Everything was AMAZING! The food was delicious, the waiter was so nice, everything came in a timely manner, and the price is fair for the location. I wish I could have tried the naan, but I can't have gluten. One day, though. The only critique I have is about the music and entertainment options. They had a large flat-screened tv and played a lot of loud pop music. That didn't make sense for the atmosphere. Other than that I really loved coming here.

This restaurant has really cute outdoor seating due to COVID. They also have a nice selection of Indian style drinks and they have indian beers too! Kingfisher is one of my favorite beers and I'm glad they had that in stock. The food was really good too. I got the cauliflower chili, chettinad lamb chops, chicken tikka masala and dal makhani. Everything tasted good except I wish the menu specified that the lamb chops were going to come cut in a curry instead of on the bone. The service was really nice but slow at times because they only had one person bartending and attending to the tables too. Overall I'm really happy with my experience and definitely want to try brunch here!

So my sister and I went there last Thursday night before a show at the blue note. Seriously one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. First of all the menu in person had no relation or relevance to the online menu. The menu was very limited and incredibly high priced for Indian in the village. We ordered three different things and the vindaloo wings were five little wings and some cauliflower and the fish we ordered smelled off and was not cooked properly and we had to send it back. I had a glass of wine and my sister ordered a vodka and club soda And it came without ice and then we asked for ice and then it was about three cubes and then we had to ask for a glass of ice. It took forever for two plates to be cleared and the service was terrible and the bartender/waiter was rude. Take my advice and stay away from this place.

Cute place with yummy food! Loved how nicely plated each dish was and the thali portions were quite generousI'm usually a sucker for paneer but this time I think my favorites out of the dinner plate were the chicken tikka masala (spicy!) and the rice pudding at the end!

Madam Jis is great for bottomless brunch with a big group. It's $45 for bottomless and a full sized entree which is a great deal. The food is pretty good, I like the chole batura and masala fries. There's always music playing and the servers are really nice. I'm not sure it'd be worth it for dinner but for brunch it's a go-to for my friends.

went here for their $60 restaurant week menu and it was just a poor set of food like one of them was french fries. very mid indian food.

Good food is ruined by incompetent and dishonest service. That's a heavy phrase, so let's provide the details: First: incompetence: Party of four, with a reservation. Server doesn't write down our orders. Two beverages are wrong. Three items are not brought. One missing item, Samosa, is brought when asked about. Another, Dal, never shows up. A third, Raita, only shows up after I flag down another staff member and say "I've asked for my Raita four times and it's not been brought." Ok he gets it to me but the rest of my meal that I wanted it with is long gone. Throughout the meal, the speaker directly above our table kept making a loud banging sound, as if someone was unplugging and plugging in an audio cable. Then the dishonest part: it's pretty clear that I am not pleased which I believe to be why they automatically added a 20% tip to our check. A party of four is smaller than the automatic gratuity policy should apply to. I didn't want to make any kind of scene as we were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday, so I just paid. Yes the food was good but nothing excuses the staff's behavior.

Service is the worst here. Five of us having dinner and suddenly someone shows up with the bill. We wanted chai and desert only to be told the kitchen was closed. How about giving your patrons a headsup. Totally rude about it. Saw once the chef Abhishek Sharma left that service was a shit show. Never going back

TL;DR: Indian food and brunch can go together. Check out their bottomless brunch for two deal on Pulsd. Came here on a rainy Sunday for brunch to catch up with a group of friends I haven't seen in quite some time. This spot was recommended by one of them and there's a pretty sweet bottomless brunch deal you can get via Pulsd promotion where for $39 you can get a bottomless brunch for two. This includes 60 minutes unlimited mimosa and two entrees from the brunch menu. I got to try their Madam's Mimosa and their Mango Mimosa. I was definitely a bigger fan of the Mango Mimosa and would recommend this as the choice of drink. For the entree, I got the Spicy Lamb Burger. Overall a pretty tasty burger and the Masala Fries it came with on the side were great as well.

Another attempt at getting Indian food right. It's ok! Not the best, not the worst, sadly like most other Indian restaurants in nyc. Pros are the ambiance, location, interior, service. Food is tasty, and done well, but nothing stood out to me. I should mention I only ordered vegetarian options, so May be non veg is different. Con was the cocktails.

Had to be in the area for a birthday celebration. With Yelp, made a decision to check out this place for dinner. It turned out to be a really good experience. When we got in we were kindly greeted by the hostess. She asked if we wanted a table but we told her we'd rather sit at the bar, where the happy hour specials are. Plenty of seating availability that night (New Year's Eve weekend), so it didn't take any time to get seated at the bar. We got all the menus (happy hour, regular drink, food) right away. From the happy hour drinks to the dessert, we had a great time throughout. The staff were great and so was the food. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I came here with a friend a couple weeks ago for outdoor dining. They had a great set up with heated lamps. I usually get cold fast but the set up was comfortable. I ordered the paneer makhani and naan which came with rice. It was enough for 2 people or 3 meals for myself. I ordered it spicey and they did make it spicey. Also my friend got the chicken biryani and she loved it. I want to come back for the brunch one day!

I very much loved my experience at Surya. Immediately upon entering the restaurant I was greeted warmly. The ambiance of the place is quite lovely and definitely matches that of a restaurant run by family. I'm not exactly well versed when it comes to Indian cuisine but I'm getting better each time I try it. On this particular visit, I enjoyed a coconut shrimp dish that was simply delish. I'm a big sauce lover and the creamy curry flavor was right up my alley. I would definitely recommend Surya to anyone looking to enjoy an authentic Indian food experience in the city. I will definitely be returning in the very near future.

My friends and I found a deal for brunch online ($39/2 people) and made a reservation for Sunday afternoon. Normally their brunch is $30 for bottomless mimosa and 1 large bite. I ordered the butter chicken with fries which was not bad. My friend ordered the avocado flatbread and opted to make it vegan by requesting for no eggs. Their mimosa options include mango, orange, and Madam Ji (their house mimosa which is a mix of juice, vodka, and champagne). They start you on the clock for 60 minutes from when you order your food so make it your money's worth (; If you check in on Yelp, they also give you a free seasonal shot! They are currently doing outdoor dining and are providing heated lamps.

Like home cooking, but with boutique vibes. There are always a few surprise spices in the dishes that make my eyes light up and appreciate the chef's tweaks while staying close to classic favorites. If you can score the $65 date night deal with two cocktails and a sampler of items- that's a great score! Pandemic seating outside is spacious and cozy with velvety chairs.

Yummy food and unique dishes. Presentation was great. Ambiance is really nice. Cocktail menu had some fusion drinks you won't find elsewhere and they were good. We had vegetarian food and everything came out very tasty. Service was good and meeting the chef was icing on the cake. I would definitely go back!
