Madame Fortune Dessert + HiFi Parlour

A few of us went to Madame Fortune, and let me tell you, it was a whole vibe. First things first—it's a speakeasy, so we passed it by about four times before realizing where we were going. They do sell out most nights, especially on weekends, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. We ended up sitting at the bar, and the ambiance was incredibly romantic. It’s not a big place, but the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. As for the food, it had big flavor. I had the lamb chops and the turkey wings, and everything was on point. My only complaint about the lamb chops was that the portion was a little small, which is why I also ordered the wings. The food came out a bit slow, but it was definitely worth the wait. We didn’t even notice the time passing because of the live entertainment. The singer had an impeccable voice. Overall, I’d give the food a 10/10, the service a 7/10 (a little slow), and the ambiance a 10/10. Definitely a place worth checking out!

Came here for my birthday dinner. Atmosphere was very nice. Drinks were nice and so was food. The turkey wings and cornbread were delicious. I got something with chickpeas since I was doing a vegetarian diet for the month. I wasn’t a huge fan but it might just be my personal opinion on chickpeas. Everyone else really enjoyed their food and had a great time!

We dined with friends here for the first time last night. We were greeted by Alicia who was helpful from the first call. We had to adjust our reservation due to a traffic delay. This hidden speakeasy in the heart of Ybor was an enjoyable evening with a focus on the experience. The hidden door entry, the mood setting decor, and the live music welcomed you in. The drinks were well crafted, the food was really well done. If I had to critique anything I would say… the laminated menus are a miss in this elevated experience and they need to be more on top of plates for shareable apps and change out utensils in between courses - minor serving details that could make this a five star review. Our server Alexis was friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of it. She made us want to come back. She tolerated our requests for photos, and did a great job with our group from beginning to end. I would say try this place out, and enjoy the soulfulness, and warm ambience of Madame Fortune.

12/26/24. We were here celebrating the holidays in Tampa and were encouraged by other Yelpers to have dinner here. They were absolutely correct in their recommendations because we loved it! First of all, I loved the Madame Fortune speakeasy ambiance. I had never been to one. This was a treat. We entered the Roast Deli store from the street where we parked and were welcomed by the hostess and then the bookcase started to open and we entered into a wildly decorated and beautifully decorated darkly lit bar and restaurant. I immediately felt excited wondering what was happening next. Was I on a movie set? I was ready, ha ha. We were warmly welcomed by our lovely server, Chanel No.5, aka Shannelle. She gave us some good recommendations. Ti start with, my daughter ordered a drink called Find Your Fortune and found it to be delicious. I wanted cold still water. The food selections all sounded good but I picked Pepper Pot Shepards Pie, which was Really good! It came with the delicious Cornbread and a bean and spinach salad. Great meal! Loved it. My daughter ordered the Lamb Chop entrée and loved it. There was great R & B Rythym and Blues music playing in the background to increase everyone's mood to soothing and relaxed. Chanel checked on us every so often at the right times. She was absolutely the best! For dessert, we picked a slice of 4 layer chocolate cake to share. We didn't know it was the size of half a cake, lol. We had a few bites and took it back to the hotel room for later. If you are a chocoholic, then this cake is for you!! The very fresh and sweet strawberries on it were amazing! We had a fabulous dining experience and will definitely be back next time we are in Tampa! Thank you, Shannelle and MF.

Me and my friends came Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. The music and atmosphere was amazing . The drink were also great but the service from our waiter was poor and my food was not good . She visited our table twice prior to serving us the bill . She forgot to put in our appetizers. Took over an hour four our food to arrive with our appetizer coming last .i wanted the turkey wings but they were out . I ended up ordering jerk salmon but it was burned to where I couldn’t taste the jerk/bourbon flavor and my rice and peas serving was crunchy and cold like it was scraped from the bottom of the pot . My friends enjoyed the lamb and jerk pasta . The sweet potatoe corn bread had no sweet potato flavor and was a bit dry but decent overall. For my first time here I was thoroughly disappointed in the service from the waiter and my food. I feel like it may have been because we came Sunday night at 9 which was 3 hours before closing .

Beautiful Speakeasy with an ambiance that’s amazing! Live music, good drinks, and great food! We were in Tampa for a short 40 sum hour trip for my friend’s birthday. We had the fried turkey wings, Gouda Mac, and sweet potato cornbread. Everything was soooo good! My friend and I ordered a sidecar with a sugared rim and the drink came without the sugar and they weren’t cold at all. When we told the waitress she was polite but she said “oh you wanted sugar”? As if that wasn’t how we originally ordered our drinks. The one thing I don’t like is the $25 per person hold they place on your card to make a reservation as a cancellation fee. I’d definitely return when in the city, it was such an adult vibe!

We celebrated my birthday on a Wed night, it was not busy at all. Our server Chanel was amazing! She was holding down the fort as our waitress bartender and buser. It was a lil bit of a wait to be seated and order but it was definitely worth the wait!

Our server, Brielle, provided exceptional service and offered valuable insights into the menu, describing the cuisine as a blend of “comfort soul food” and Caribbean fusion while highlighting the owner’s rich Guyanese heritage. We began our dining experience with sweet potato cornbread, which had a lovely balance of subtle sweetness, a crispy exterior, and a moist interior. The honey drizzle and cinnamon butter that accompanied it enhanced the flavors beautifully. The chow mein, which featured a medley of vegetables and shrimp in a sweet Thai chili sauce, was a pleasant surprise, showcasing a satisfying texture within this savory noodle dish. The Creamy Alfredo Rasa Pasta offered an innovative twist with a hint of curry, resulting in a rich fusion dish that was enjoyable without being overpowering. The Oxtail Shepherd's Pie also provided a harmonious combination of flavors, generously topped with cheese and complemented by pickled cabbage, making it a fulfilling option. A glass of Moscato paired wonderfully with our selections. Overall, our dining experience was quite memorable, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a distinctive culinary journey.
