Madras Dosa Co. - Review - Midtown - New York - The Infatuation

"In Rockefeller Center, Madras Dosa Co. has their third NYC location. The Indian fast casual spot, with lots of dosa and pulao variations, could be a good option to add into your lunch rotation if you work in the neighborhood. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Will Hartman

After a long morning in NYC, finding this place for lunch felt like a blessings. It's in the food court of Rockefeller center. We had ordered dishes like Masala dosa, Onion samosas, samosa chaat, spicy Aloo matar sandwich, idli and shambhar and medu vada. Besides the medu vada all food was delicious and full of authentic Indian flavors. Medu vada were not cooked properly from the inside. I have become a fan of their south Indian food, especially their sambhar and chutney. The staff was very professional and ambience was great. We will surely return to this restaurant whenever back in the city.

I tried the masala dosa here and the dosa was absolutely delicious. Masala was a little bland for my taste but was overall ok. The sambar and chutneys were very flavorful. The place is clean and offers plenty of indoor seating. Definitely visiting again!

Good Indian cuisine!! It’s wow with signature coffee! Dono why Starbucks is crowded with Indians when you have this filter coffee 😜.. Try their veggie Pulao.

I am not a huge fan of indian food but I love this place. The potato dosa is the best. The crepe was nice and chewy. It doesn't fall apart in your hands. The lamb dosa is also amazing. The dosas come with 3 complimentary sauces. 1 sauce is nice and spicy. Not sure about the dosas with cheese. They don't seem to authentic to me.

It’s such a convenient go to spot near Rockefeller to grab and satisfy those Indian cravings! And the foods pretty good too! A no nonsense spot!

I love everything about it. Had plain Dosa with 3 different sauces on the side ( see pic). I asked what type of sauces they are (I am not Indian, beg ur pardon here🙈) so, two of them were coconut chutney, ginger chutney, 3rd one I forgot, was something lentil related. Anyway, I enjoyed my dosa with all sauces. It is located at right below Top of the Rock building, Concourse level. Very friendly staff. Environment is lovely. Clean spot. I work that building, so can’t wait to try everything on their menu on daily basis. Highly recommend & definitely will come back again & again.

I visited this place right yesterday and had wonderful experience. It is clean and well organized. I had breakfast here which was just like homemade items with regards to both taste and quantity. I happened to meet the chef named Sebastian and a girl named Kusuma who are working here. Both are very nice in welcoming and serving their customers in all the aspects. On the whole it is so good and i can say that this is one of the best restaurant when it comes to south Indian varieties especially in Time Square New York. I wish this food store all the very best.
