Very cute and cozy restaurant. Went for MTLatable and tried their albacore tuna tataki, braised beef cheek and arctic char. The tataki over butternut squash purée was pretty good. Beef cheek was tender and flavorful and fish was okay. The vegetables side was unexpectedly tasty. They now have a wine selection - we tried the Sin Tinto which was excellent with all dishes. Only down was the timing of dishes. We waited over an hour to get the main dish. The dessert came before we finished the wine since they had another service. Would have been nice to have decent time to enjoy the food and no rushing because of lacking kitchen management.

First time here for Montréal á table, very satisfied with the food quality and the amount is just right. Strongly recommended if you down to enjoy a cozy place with friendly staff and good music.

Madre is a GEM. The food is outstanding; The emphasis on fresh top quality ingredients is evident, the style is ecclectic and unpretentious. The young gentleman that served us was delightful and knowledgeable. The ambiance was relaxed and warm. We couldn't have asked for a better evening... our new favourite

Yet another restorant that is overrated probably because the plates are styled. Entering the small neighborhood restorant I was hoping for a warm, cozy atmosphere but found the place fade and stuffy. The quality of the meat was good but the mix of tastes was a mess. The shrimp croquettes tasted entirely like potatoes and the textures was to dense. The tuna was served with too much sauce that overpowered the fish. The desert was a chocolate coconut mousse which was good but still I was hoping for more. My experience left me entirely on my appetite.

Amazing food, really nice atmosphere in a quaint setting. We had a lovely waitress who was very informed. Plus it's bring your own wine; win win.

I've actually been there twice. Once in 2015 and now in 2017. Therefore I think I can give an objective review. I will jump straight to the food. It is utterly uninspiring and forgettable. I couldn't taste any Latin influence. The plating was pretentious. I don't see any French technique except the word "beurre blanc" thrown around. The dessert tasted similar to one you'd get at the IKEA cafeteria. It wasn't expensive but completely unsatisfactory. I would rather spend double the amount and have good food. I even had to get Mcdonalds later in the night because I didn't feel satiated. You should definitely pass on this place.

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants but what a big disappointment it was today. The food took very long to arrive (2 hours) and the quality was not what it used to be. I would not recommend it and I will never go back. Very sad

A really nice discovery! The food was amazing, service a little slow but it gave us time to enjoy the meals
