Madre Nostra by CERVO

Arguably the best meal in Zermatt. Not only is the restaurant located in the incredible CERVO hotel with stellar views of Matterhorn, but the food is also absolutely incredible. Service is friendly and excellent. The pasta carbonara? Insanely good.

We tried so hard to like this place but it was hard. It was too fancy for us. It’s very expensive so we were expecting delicious food. However I got the ribeye and the truffle butter was extremely over salted. It ruined the steak for me. I also bought a 12 CHF side of truffle fries which were covered in Parmesan cheese. You could barely taste the fry itself. I’m giving it 4 stars because of the views and the atmosphere. They had live music playing which was a nice addition. This is definitely a fine dining experience so be prepared to pay for a full course meal. Nothing comes with anything. We came here because we saw online it was rated the number one Italian restaurant in Zermatt. I wouldn’t say that is true. I can recommend this place to anyone looking for a fine dining experience with money to spend and a rich taste. If you want more classic Italian dishes, look elsewhere. This place doesn’t offer any “normal” pasta dishes such as spaghetti Bolognese.

This Italian gem is a must-visit! The cozy ambiance sets the perfect tone for a beautiful dining experience. The food is simply incredible, with a carbonara so stunning it feels like a masterpiece. The champagne selection was equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meal. Add to that the attentive and excellent service, and you have a top-tier restaurant that leaves you wanting to come back for more. Truly a standout spot!

The best food we had while in Switzerland! We ate here twice during our stay. The cocktails and desserts were delicious as well. Service was top notch, everyone was attentive and very helpful.

Such a beautiful day at a beautiful restaurant! We ate outside and it was so delicious! The service was exceptional and fast, and we would highly recommend getting the carbonara! For those from the US you can easily put down a large size ;)

Isabelle, our waitress was instructive , friendly and responsive. The food is splendid and the tiramisu is to die for. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, perfect for a date night. Dress is casual for after ski dinner.

There are vegetarian options. I order the parmigiana and it was amazing. I recommend it 10/10🌟🤌 I ordered a small portion but next time I will definitely go for large because the size was a bit small in my opinion. I also tried the Cervo fries - which were with parmesan and truffle oil, and were quite lovely as well. For drink I’d recomment the organic ginger tea.

Excellent food and service. Our server was more than helpful with not only the menu but with information on the ski resort. Great atmosphere, great experience! Definitely recommend.
