A very intimate and laid-back Kaiseki omakase restaurant, offering dedicated attention to taste and local ingredients. The whole experience resembled a private lunch and felt extremely special. The efficiency of the counter table, combined with the intimate setting and perfectly portioned courses, allows you to savor the entire experience in just half an hour, making it both remarkably swift and profoundly memorable.
The chef worked very focused, using simple ingredients but sophisticated techniques and timely preparations. We loved the freshness of the selected vegetables; tomatoes apparently taste very sweet in June. Highlights included Yuba, a type of tofu skin, sashimi, a set of tempura, and octopus rice, along with dashi, pickles, and roasted green tea—the classics of a Kyoto-style Kaiseki. It was a great experience to recommend!
