This place really delivers on both food and vibe. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by the sight of fresh pasta being made right in front of you — the guy working the pasta machine is actually the same one you’ll see in a bunch of their Google photos and videos on Google maps reviews. It’s a fun, unique touch that sets the tone right away. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and cozy with string lights that add a nice glow. The service was genuinely great — super friendly staff who made the whole experience feel welcoming. Now for the coolest part: some of the seats are actually swings. Yep, actual swings hanging from the ceiling. It’s a really fun idea, but heads up — if you want to sit on those, definitely make a reservation. We didn’t, so we ended up at a regular table (still comfy though). As for the food: excellent across the board. The Bolognese was a standout, but honestly, every pasta we tried — red sauces, white sauces, different noodle types — was on point. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Would happily go back — just with a reservation next time so we can snag those swing seats.

If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience, this place is an absolute gem! I have been here a couple of times already, and every visit has been nothing short of amazing. The handmade pasta is truly something special - you can taste the care and craftsmanship in every bite. I am so happy this spot is right next to my workplace, making it easy to stop by more often. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with recommendations. Whether you are in the mood for pasta, antipasti, or dessert, everything on the menu delivers a true taste of Italy. Highly, highly, highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic, fresh, and delicious Italian food!

Google
The food and staff are exceptional. Food made with love from the Parma region of Italy. I was lucky enough to meet the owner. What a wonderful individual. Offering the flavors and dishes he was raised with. Unapologetically giving the unique Parma experience to his customers. I implore anyone interested in experiencing the regional taste of Parma to dine in. Take in the splendid atmosphere filled with the bold passion of the Italian people. Thank you for the experience. I was more than pleased.

My girlfriends and I stumbled across this place and I am so glad we did! The vibe was so nice, and the service was impeccable. The staff really went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. The food was delish! I will visit time and time again!

Maestro Pasta in Greenwich Village is an absolute delight! We enjoyed the homemade focaccia, the decadent Tartuffo, and the spinach Tortelli with burrata—cooked perfectly al dente—every bite was exquisite. The wine was incredible, the vibe warm and romantic — ideal for a date night, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Watching the chef craft pasta right in front of us added delightful charm. It genuinely brings the heart of Italy to New York—no passport needed! It’s now my favorite, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Italian flavors.

Google
Our favorite food is Italian and this place definitely did not let us down👏🏻 First of all: location is great, place is beautiful and well decorated, great lighting, very cozy and amazing ambiance. Customer service was awesome! Our waiter Marco was very nice, and everything came promptly and all correct. Food✨ everything was soooo tasty, fresh and great portions!! We had 2 pastas to share which the sauces were very rich (we love that), 1 flatbread (lot of meat and cheese) and 2 desserts. Everything was so delicious and the desserts you have to try it was all 10/10. The Panna cotta was insane💖 We were extremely happy with everything, I’d definitely come back here 💖 keep the good work!!

Google
I’ve been searching the West Village for a true Italian dining experience for a LONG time and finally found it in Maestro Pasta. Everything from start to finish was exceptional and I’m looking forward to hosting friends and family next week. The owner/chef Alessandro was super engaged and attentive, his staff is friendly and professional and the menu is amazing…can’t wait to return!!!

Google
One of the best pasta places in Manhattan !!! I love that all the pastas are hand made! And their marinara sauce is perfection (I’m a big fan of tomato sauces!!!!) I used to go to their location in downtown and was very sad when they closed but super gappy when they reopened here! Its super Italian in a good way! This time we tried fried artichokes, mixed salad, bolognese, panna cota and had to take 2 more pastas home because I loved it! And I loved the fact that chef Alessandro cares a lot about customers and comes to the table to make sure that everything is great! Highly recommend!

Yelp
The pasta here is excellent--perfectly al dente and cooked to perfection. The simple sauces and fresh ingredients really highlight the fine craftsmanship of the pasta. The restaurant has a very lively atmosphere on weekends, and the swings add a fun, unique vibe to the space. On a recent visit, we had an issue with the service that left us initially disappointed. However, the owner personally stepped in, addressed the situation, and took immediate action to make things right. I was very impressed with how he handled it. It's clear he genuinely cares about his business and his customers' experiences. I'll definitely be back--not just for the amazing food, but because it's rare to find a restaurant that values its patrons this much. Highly recommend! Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to tweak!

Yelp
This was such a fun culinary experience! The tables have swings so that in it of itself was a vibe. The pasta was fresh and you really got to taste the unique flavors of each dish. I had so much fun for a little girls night out here. The ambiance is super cute and it really makes you feel like you're at a pasta factory. They will definitely be seeing me again ! Yelp
My sister and I shared this truffle pasta and it was quite yummy. This place was little on the medium pricey side but we are in NYC and im not from here so don't take my price count into consideration. The place was cute with a nice little bathroom. The expresso martini wasn't my favorite. They have these cute swing chairs that made the place seem different from all other pasta spots. It seems like a cute place to have a girls night if your craving pasta or Italian food.

Yelp
Phenomenal gem in the west village. I am always (surprised) & thrilled when I find a new place to love. Maestro Pasta has a homemade feel in the food, the service and the ambience. My pasta (bolognese) was delicious- cooked to perfection ... the paired Chianti - divine. Then I tried what seriously might be the best tiramisu I have ever tasted. Hand delivered by the owner & chef. Seriously - better than most in Italy. As an old New Yorker with a high bar ... this place is wonderful. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I went on Saturday, July 21 and there was no wait for a table of 3. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment. The pasta was undercooked (literally crunchy), cold, and lacked flavor. My group of 3 each took one bite and immediately we paid our bill and left. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because there was no wait, the staff was nice, & and the swings were cute. I would not recommend coming here.

Yelp
PROS - great service - decor and ambiance is intimate and give good vibes - good wine and drink options, 10/10 - decent size portions - lots of food and drinks options - food seems authentic CONS - some dishes are hit or miss Came here with family who were visiting from out of town. We were in the area and had a picky-eater with us who only eats pasta and this was the closest with decent reviews. The space is really lovely, romantic, authentic countryside Italian vibe. There is a large food and drinks menu. There are not many veggie/non pasta options but lots of everything else. We had the tomato mozzarella flatbread, cheese platter, and three pasta dishes. The flatbread was good (7/10), and the cheese platter was a 10/10, and I would highly recommend! It's a large portion good for the whole table and could easily feed four people as an appetizer. The three pasta dishes were okay and not very memorable, I feel like they were lacking a little flavor and some traditional seasoning, but otherwise came as large portions. All the drinks and wines we had were great 10/10!

Yelp
This review is mostly for the Tartufo truffle pasta... it was so rich, creamy, and flavorful. If you're worried the truffle won't be strong enough to come through, fret not. My friend's pasta was just okay. It was tart and fresh but really paled in comparison to the tartufo. I'd love to try the truffle ravioli next time as our waiter recommended that. Great service, ambiance is nice. Seating is interesting and unconventional but actually a bit uncomfortable in my opinion.

Yelp
Have you ever eaten pasta from a pan sitting in a swing? Proud to check this one off my list. Maestro Pasta is easily a contender for the cutest place I have randomly stumbled across while in the city to get dinnerr. The exposed brick wall, the LED neon signs, the view into the kitchen, THE SWINGS??? I think I could confidently list 15 more things that were great about this place Let's add more to that list: THE FOOD The flatbread was insane.... First off those cheese pulls??? I finally felt like a pro I can't put into words how good this flatbread was, which makes sense because it was chefs choice.. The Prosciutto was so fresh and paired with the arugula and parmasean cheese.... Absolutely delicious. Both pasta options were also so delicious. & how cute is the presentation. Something about eating out of the pan just makes it better, I can't explain it. The best part of this restaurant was that with the salt and pepper they had mini olive in bottles... literally so fresh and absolutely addicting. I am confident I could've drank it LMAO. The staff here was so nice and took such great care of us. They were so sweet... I was a bad foodie and didn't ask their names unfortunately but the woman sat us also was our waitress, so sweet!! & so funny we were cracking jokes all meal What we got: - Cacio e Pepe - Pasta con Polpettine - Parmacrudo Focaccia - Pollo e Palate Drinks we got: - Cabernet Sauvignon - Mojito Executive Chef: Damian's Rosella Check out his instagram: @chef_drose For more information & to hear more about my experience... Yelp
The staff were amazing! The servers and boss were excellent! They were personable and authentic. We celebrated my friend's milestone birthday and ordered 3 pastas , 2 appetizers and some wine. The ambience was cute! My friends sat on a swing bench that fit the table perfectly. We did not share that it was my friend's birthday until we paid. Unbeknown to us, the server and owner brought us a shareable tiramisu and sang happy birthday to my friend. So sweet! The pasta was al dente! Deliciouso!

Yelp
Been here twice now, and I have nothing to brag about except to express my disappointment. The ambiance and decor are pretty cool. I like the rustic look of it. The service is okay, nothing extraordinary. The food is very mediocre. Both pasta dishes lacked flavor and were bland. The meatballs on the spaghetti were so tiny! It felt like it was a freaking joke. We have to ask for grated Parmesan cheese to add some taste/flavor to it, so we can eat it. Some cocktails are okay and some are not. Again they are overpriced for the quality of food/drinks and are not worth it. The name of the restaurant should be Lame Pasta.

Yelp
Hands down one of the most fantastic dining experiences we've had. We loved the ambiance, the dim lighting made for a romantic dinner in such a great part of NYC. We indulged in the Tartufo pasta, hats off to the chef! Wish we could relive this experience again as the wait staff made for a classy experience. You get what you pay for and after $45 for our entre + tip (no drinks), we're good to wait awhile until our next visit to the city.

Yelp
Literally best pasta and prosciutto I've ever had, the chairs at the table are swings which is sick, and the service was super fast. The low lighting, candles, and cozy atmosphere made for a really memorable and relaxing dinner. Will 10000% be back

Yelp
Honestly a tad under-rated. Came for lunch with a friend and had a great time. The decor and furniture are fun/cute. They have normal chairs but also swings you can sit on right at your table too. Small space though, probably like 14 tables total. --burrata salad- fresh. good amount of burrata and balsamic with beets. dont know if I loved it though. --pesto linguine- basic but so good. we got 1 dish and shared it between 2 people..great idea, we were full but I could have ate more! --espresso martini- delicious. not a regular one, they added some other flavors to it which I really liked. its on the sweeter side though (which i prefer) but keep that in mind. I see online that you can create your own pasta, but I didnt see that on the menu in person so not sure. but if you could... fantastic idea for those who want it fully customizable. the server took away our salad before we even said we're done but she was nice and offered to make us a new one. that's good service.

Yelp
By far our best experience dining in NYC this visit. We stumbled onto Maestro while walking back to our hotel the night before and it was so cute and welcoming, we decided to give it a shot. The hostess was very sweet and sat us at one of the "swing" tables, even though there were just two of us. She also checked up on us throughout the evening. Alessandro, our waiter, was straight out of "Under the Tuscan Sun" casting; handsome, warm, and charming to the nines. He guided us through the St. Patty's Day specials, and I settled on the green pasta with crispy prosciutto and green (pea based) sauce. My wife went for a truffle ravioli thingy. We also split a salad with buffalo mozzarella and it was so big we barely finished it. We also asked for their famous fried bread, which was to die for and also quite light! We also enjoyed a cocktail and glass of wine each. The pasta was fabulous and we ate every bite. The only thing we couldn't polish off was the basket of fried bread (though I asked my wife if we could take it home!). Unfortunately, the (green) pistachio tiramisu won't be available when you go, though we begged them to add it to the regular menu. On the way out, our waiter, the bartender, the hostess, and the chef, all greeted us and I got to show off my excellent accent "Gracie!" several times consecutively. It was a storybook dining experience. Oh and the decor and ambiance were fab, including lots of Sinatra and Buble.
google avatar

Judith N.

Yelp
Absolutely loved our dining here this evening. Our waiter, Alessandro, was delightful, efficient and very attentive. We had a very fresh salad with burrata, two handmade pasta dishes and the pistachio tiramisu (today's special). Everything was beautifully prepared with quality ingredients. Highly recommend.

Yelp
3.5/5 Cute Italian place on bustling MacDougal street. First thing you notice as you walk in is the warm comfy vibe especially with swing chairs on most tables. The menu is really interesting with freshly prepped pastas and breads offered with a robust selection of wines & cocktails. Our group ordered a variety of pastas, and I tried their vegetarian lasagna. First off, while the looks appeal, the taste unfortunately is a little underwhelming. I get that this place serves simple, lighter pastas but most dishes lacked salt or that soothing flavor. My lasagna was mostly cheese & barely any veggies. Portion size just for the lasagna is tiny compared to other pastas served straight on the pans. Service is good but overall MP fell a little short on expectations.

Yelp
Wow. This was my favorite dinner place so far in the city. Our server was very hospitable and welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of. We enjoyed sitting in the front patio though it would be nice to check out the swings inside next time. The Prosecco rosè was so crisp and refreshing, quite dry as well in the best way possible - you never know if it may be overwhelmingly sweet. Absolutely would order this every time we return. The Angel spritz was too sweet unfortunately and would not get this again. The burrata salad was classic and as expected, no surprises there. The tortellini was the star of the show!! It was covered with an aromatic butter sage sauce and we savored every bite. This is a must order! Can't wait to explore more of the menu next time.

Yelp
This place is the real deal! Alessandro, the owner - from Italy, is incredibly passionate about incredible food, service, and giving every customer the best experience. We started with the prosciutto and Bufala. My friend got the Cacio e Pepe & I got the lasagna. Everything was soo fresh!! I got a photo of our appetizer, but unfortunately we inhaled the entrees before I could get a photo! The interior is done so well and has such a cool vibe to it with an open kitchen concept. The servers are all hustling and working incredibly hard to make every customer's experience amazing. I will definitely be returning and I would encourage anyone looking for a great, authentic Italian meal to try!!!
google avatar

Ting Z.

Yelp
It was okay. A cute place and staff were cool-- one of the chefs had a stuffed Remy plushie (from Ratatouille) stuck to his shoulder haha which I thought was adorable. I ordered the cacio e pepe. First time trying it actually, and maybe it's just not my thing, but I found the noodles a bit clumpy and the flavor meh. I tried my friends' dishes too and they were decent but nothing particularly noteworthy.

Yelp
Was walking around on a Saturday. Finding outdoors reservation at 5:30 was tough. But when I called to ask if they have seating for 4 outside they said yes. Walked there in 10 minutes. We didn't see any seats outside but they were able to accommodate and move the table and chair outside for us since we had the dogs. The service and the staff was great. The ambiance inside is cute with the swings. The red sauce for the spaghetti and meatballs I loved. The truffle was really good. The bread that came with our entree was really good. Sad they were out of the octopus and steak tartare that day. Would come back to try other things.

Bilal R.

Yelp
Great Italian restaurant in the west village. Beautiful ambiance. Swinging chairs are a great touch. But the real beauty is the service and people working here. So friendly and inviting. They allowed our three little ones to cut the pasta in the machine that we ordered. Brought the Italian family traditions to the restaurant. Food was excellent. I recommend the cheese board. Variety of cheeses and how to eat them too. We got three pastas and you can't go wrong with any of them. I wish I got the meatballs but they were sold out already. Have to wait for next visit.

Yelp
Me and my friend went here after we had a couple of drinks at a comedy show. The interior of this place is pretty picture worthy same goes for the food here as well. The service was friendly and our server taught us how to spell the dishes so we wouldn't embarrass ourselves . The pasta was good I wouldn't say amazing but it's a good spot if you are feeling Italian and good place.
google avatar

Patrick K.

Yelp
Very cute spot in Greenwich Village for casual Italian. Portions were generous, pasta was cooked correctly (firm) and the space casual with rustic undertones. A great find for those who know! Food: 7/10 Value: 9/10 Service: 6/10 Vibe: 9/10 (date night worthy)
google avatar

Janice H.

Yelp
Delicious pasta. A little pricey considering that it's a somewhat casual dining experience (the place is well decorated, dimly lit, and romantic though) and it's served in a small pan. But it's much more tasty and nuanced than pasta from more popular places like Da Andrea. Not only the sauces, but the dough itself has intrinsic flavor, which makes me think they use more semolina? I'm not a pasta expert. My friend and I had a great time here, worth every penny
google avatar

Tim O.

Yelp
Weird seating arrangement where someone might have to sit on a rope swing. Menu is kinda weird, annoying to have to sift through a virtual menu with indecisive friends. Pasta is authentic throughout, definitely toward the "Italian" end of the spectrum. Portions are pretty small. Good for dates or semi-serious meals.

Diane S.

Yelp
Maestro Pasta was absolutely amazing. From the delicious freshly made pasta, you can see them making the pasta when you walk in to the Italian imported foods of Prosciutto and mozzarella. We had the Proscuitto Bufala for appetizer with arugula which was so delicious. I had the bolognese sauce with pappardelle and my husband had the Boscaiola which was a creamy mushroom & meat sauce that my husband said was the best tasting pasta! I loved the atmosphere of the swinging chairs on one side of the table, such a cool concept. The owner Allesandro and his staff were all very attentive and friendly and so passionate about making the best authentic Italian dishes. I felt like we were in Italy, the pasta dishes and appetizer were that good. It is up the block from 2 comedy clubs so great to have dinner before going to the show. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
google avatar

Yara F.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a few friends and had a great time. We were seated at some of the swing chairs which were super cute. they are really secure and you could sit without swinging at all but I think most people move a little bit back-and-forth as they are sitting. We had a reservation because it was a Friday night and we're seated immediately, I did notice some parties that didn't have reservations that got seats, but there were also groups that were turned away so I would say a reservation is probably a good idea. Overall, the fresh pasta was delicious as was the sauce. It seemed that some of the portions might have been a little bit smaller than others. I also thought it was a little odd that you couldn't get any protein added to any of the pastas like they don't have chicken to add. Definitely not mandatory but if you want protein, your only choice is getting a meat sauce like I did. Overall had a great time and would probably return!

Yelp
3.75 truffle was yummy with a big fat truffle on it the caprese was kinda small for the price the vibe is good but the table was lowkey on the floor it was really low idk why also the charge us for tap water???

Yelp
What an absolutely lovely restaurant. From beginning to end our time in this eatery was stellar. The staff is FANTASTIC, friendly warm and accommodating. I really believe the staff is a huge part of what makes a restaurant a success and Maestro's really understands that key element is what keeps customers coming back. The decor is so lovely it's more like visiting a friend at their home, it's that intimate in the feel of the place. Some of the tables actually have functional swings. Ultra clean bathroom with the most aromatic candle burning inside. Now onto the food, if your goal is to have your taste buds tantalized then Maestro's Pasta Restaurant will most certainly fit the bill. We started and shared a board of the Prosciutto e Bufala which is served with a basket of Torta Fritta (homemade fried bread).....the cheese and meat was fresh and tasty and if there were ever a more perfect accompanying item it was the fried bread. Light, airy and right out of the skillet and bought to your table. Then on to the main course...... we ordered two Tartufo (truffle) linguine and also an order of Lasagna alla Bolognese. Never have I ever tasted a more perfect piece of lasagna, the chef blessed it with the most tantalizing and beautifully seasoned meat sauce. We shared the tiramisu (I wish I had ordered my own lol) it was another knockout in the order. I would advise reservation (which we didn't have) but they accommodated us with no wait time and with a smile at us simply walking in to eat on a whim. I typically don't go into the city other than to go to work but I most surely and gladly will make the trip for another lovely night at Maestro's.

Yelp
First and foremost the staff is incredible, they are inviting, genuine and hospitable. My friend and I came in for a dinner and had a delicious salad, 2 pastas, cocktail and wine on the house. The salad was amazing - healthy, refreshing and unique. I ordered the funghi porcini which paired extremely well with the pinot noir! Later for a dessert I ordered the tiramisu martini! - again out of this world. I never write reviews but the staff, food, and ambience was so cozy and special and I had to take some time out and right something. Try it out :)

Yelp
This place was great! I have been to the location in Fidi soon after it opened, and I'm happy to see the business is doing well enough to open a second location. When I saw they had a location in the east village that was more a sit-down style, I had to try it! The first thing I noticed is that they had tables with swings as a seating option! I chose this option and it made my meal more fun. The food was just as great as the furniture option. We started with the dried bread. It was hollow inside and without any flavoring. It was savory, and similar to zeppolis without the powdered sugar, but a smoother texture on the outside. I really enjoyed it. I also ate the half moon ravioli with truffle sauce. It was on the heavier side, so this dish is not for those on a strict diet. That said, it was delicious enough to be worth all the calories. The texture was great, the pasta was fresh, and the recipe was well thought-out. I also had the tiramisu. I wish it would have been creamier, but that is just a personal preference. It had a creative, almost deconstructed feel to it. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the food came out rather quickly. I definitely will be coming back here.

Yelp
The interior was modern and interesting. But I was not impressed with the service, and when they brought the check and insisted that the gratuity was automatically added for parties of 4 - well why expect good service when the waitstaff know they are guaranteed a 20% tip regardless. And now that I look at the bill, they applied the 20% to the 3.95 percent credit card surcharge. Basically I think they are ripping people off. No where was any of this disclosed - the credit card surcharge or the mandatory and automatic 20% tip. The food was disappointing. Appetizer sized portions of pasta served cold. And you had to ask them to bring Parmesan. And no spoon to help twirl the pasta. Meh. My out of town guests liked it. I wouldn't return.

Yelp
We happened to walk by this spot while on a search for dinner and we were pleasantly surprised to see the fresh pasta being made right next to our table. We both ordered the classic Cacio e Pepe pasta and it was to die for! Perfectly al dente and balanced. I liked it being served in a pan. Very nice touch. The restaurant itself wasn't too busy when we went, so we got seated right away. They do have really cute swing benches on some of the tables!
google avatar

Samantha D.

Yelp
So yummy! I love the Cacio E Pepe, Pesto Al Basilico and Bolognese! The salads are also quite good, especially the Caprese Salad. My favorite part of Maestro (besides the pasta) is the atmosphere and ambiance. Service is reliable, quick and staff is beyond friendly. The live music is always wonderful, usually jazz or some form of jazz fusion and the interior design is to die for. The swing bench seats are adorable and add a very cozy vibe (certainly unique too!). The plants and exposed brick are lovely as well!
google avatar

Nicholas G.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time here having some drinks and a cheese platter before our dinner down the street. The cheese platter was massive and we had to take some to go! Next time I am coming to try the pasta. Seemed like an authentic spot. The waiters were awesome too. Will be back!

Yelp
We had a party of 5 and we were easily seated arriving upon a Thursday opening. We ordered off their TapTab menu which was a well designed menu site with great photos of all their menu items. Their bolognese, pasta con polpettine, and tartufo were hits at our table. My favorite was the tartufo. They automatically charged 20% gratuity to parties over 5 and I didn't see any option to change if your service was not worthy. Just an option to add even more which why I gave a 4 rating.
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
Pesto pasta with a side of live music and cute swing chairs. For the vibes I would say yes it's super cute, but wary that it's a bit loud so maybe rethink the date night to be here if you have to talk to them but maybe that is actually a great date spot then. Nothing too crazy here, some standard fresh pesto pasta.

Yelp
Where do I begin... Since its inception in the financial district, I have had a true Love affair with Maestro Pasta! I was a young lady in search of the true taste and definition of Pasta when I happened to stumble upon this special place. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with delicious aromas, beautiful sights of fresh pasta being made and a greeting that felt like I was with family. After a careful look at the menu and a fruitful conversation, I went with the Bolognese. Mamma Mia!!! The delicately made pasta with the Savory flavors of the bolognese were Heavenly! I went back week after week after week. I could never get enough. Their New location in the village, is no different. In fact, it's even better! The ambiance and the attention to detail are spectacular but now, I get to enjoy a delicious glass of red wine with my bolognese. Bravo! This place will forever have my heart.

Yelp
Maestro is an Italian pasta restaurant in Greenwich Village. The interior of the restaurant is very nice, and would be perfect for a dinner data. As the night went on, they had live music playing too! The first time my sister and I tried Maestro, we started with their Torta Fritta which is their signature fried bread. I really enjoyed their bread, it reminded me of a beignet (just without sugar) and it tasted great when dipped in our pasta's sauces. As for the pasta, we ordered the Tartufo fettuccine and Boscaiola pappardelle. Both tasted excellent and the serving sizes were very good compared to other pasta places in Manhattan. My sister wanted to have a glass of wine with our pastas, but couldn't make a decision. One of the waiters was kind enough to give us a little wine tasting of 3 different wine choices before making a final decision. We decided to finish our meal with their Panna Cotta with strawberry jam, and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Overall, the meal and service was so great, I decided to come back for my graduation lunch!

Yelp
The decor of this restaurant is so beautiful. I lot of cool things around. Especially the fully operable wash basin in the back, made out of an old whisky barrel. Homemade, fresh pasta. You see the lady making the pasta, as you walk in. Service was good. We really loved the Sun Salad! Sooooo good. The spaghetti and meat balls was ok. To me, the meatballs were a little on the dry side. But I did love the "tiny size" of them. I like how they present it in the pan. We then had the tartuffo pasta. Which was full of great truffle flavor. Oh the fried dough bread, excellent!! I would definitely return.

The PASTA- BILITIES are endless here but no matter what you pick we promise you will fall in love It's nice and dimly lit with cute swinging chairs, which makes for a great romantic experience . Yelp
Came here with a group of friends on a week night and had an amazing time. The restaurant is cute and cozy, and we were lucky enough to score a table with swings. We ordered for starters a cheese board with torta fritta, which I have to say, was absolutely amazing. We ended up eating so much bread and cheese that we were almost too full for our meal. For dinner, we ordered pesto cavatelli, Parma crudo focaccia and a ravioli plate. All came out piping hot, fresh and super tasty. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse and tiramisu. I would highly recommend all plates! The servers were extremely attentive and our glasses were always full. We never felt rushed at any moment and were able to enjoy our meal. I would definitely come back and eat here. Thank you Alessandro and staff for a great experience.

Yelp
Look no further for delicious, handmade and fresh pasta! The owners are straight from Italy, bringing their recipes from home. The ambiance is a rustic vibe that's intimate and perfect for a date night. Don't skip on the tiramisu. Highlights were definitely the bolognese and aglio e olio! The servers are from Italy so you know it's legit.

Yelp
The starters were excellent, and the waiters were very nice, and would ask how the food was, and what we need. The music was quiet at first, then the volume of the music increased to the point where it was almost impossible to have a conversation. We asked the manager to dial it down, and getting the request met amounted to hurding cats. Apparently the owner of the restaurant mandated the volume be dialed up on Fridays and Saturdays. Eventually, the volume of the music was brought back down to an appropriate level. This level of service was not expected, especially in a restaurant of this calibre. We ordered three pasta dishes, and the pasta was very fresh, two of which did not have enough sauce. The cacio de pepe was the best dish of the three.

Yelp
On July 29, 2019, my friend Joe and I were walking around Financial District when we stumbled upon a small pasta shop that was opening that very day. Little did we know, we'd soon be addicted and would eat at this place 1-2x a week for a couple of YEARS. Two years later, they've opened a new, full-service restaurant in Greenwich Village. And boy, is it good. We had the opportunity to be there for the friends and family opening day of this location in December 2021. The space is amazing - the seats are SWINGS (!!) and the food is, as always, out of this world. While we were there, two girls wandered in to the event. The owner gave them some food and we were within earshot of them, and they could not stop raving about the pesto lasagna. That seems to be a theme at Maestro - the food is unbelievably good; it's kind of hard to stop talking about it once you've had it. Everything here is awesome; the bolognese in particular is a can't-miss. Due to the pandemic, many of my friends have moved out of the city, and they all claim one of the top things they miss about living here is going to Maestro. Most importantly - when you're here, you're family. The owner, the chefs, and the servers are among the friendliest people in the service industry. I highly recommend coming here ASAP because soon you won't be able to get a seat. One of the best pasta places, not only in the city, but that I've ever been to.

Yelp
I got the pasta aglio olio e pepperoncini, which was very good. Perfect pasta and ample garlic flavors that was not too strong (imo), but I could see some people thinking it is on the stronger side. Great ambiance and service. However price was a bit high for such a quick and simple pasta dish ($28 after tax and tip). Still all things considered, I would come back here with friends.

Yelp
DON'T EAT HERE! After eating here, someone from this place took my credit card info and purchased a bunch of stuff and sent it to this restaurant.
