"A new taqueria helmed by a longtime butcher will open later this week in Fort Worth. Chef Miguel Mendoza spent 16 years as a butcher in Monterrey, Mexico, before deciding to open a taco shop in North Texas that would honor the recipes and traditions of his hometown. Maestro Tacos, at 3011 Bledsoe Street, will serve up birra, carnitas, barbacoa, pollo asado, and trompo, alongside tequila and mezcal margaritas and non-alcoholic agua frescas. The vibe of the restaurant is meant to evoke the vibrant but laid-back feel of taquerias in Monterrey and Mexico City, complete with an open-air patio and late-night hours." - Brittanie Shey

"OMG Tacos is opening a new location at 3011 Bledsoe Street in Fort Worth's West 7th District. It offers a menu featuring Hot Cheetos-topped elotes, Asian-influenced tacos, California-style burritos, carne asada-topped fries, and nachos. Once the liquor license is approved, it will serve cocktails from a full bar. This is the fourth location, with others in Richardson, The Colony, and Uptown Dallas." - Amy McCarthy

Great staff. Inviting patio. They have a menu on the wall to order from. They'll call you when your food is done. Off the beaten path taco joint. They have burritos, street tacos, birria platter which looked delicious. Lots of hot sauces to go along the traditional green and red sauce which they make. Tortillas are also made right in front of you like and old Mexican kitchen. I had the trompo and a barbacoa tacos. Came with grilled onion and jalapeno along w the traditional onion cilantro garnish. What a treat. Will definitely be back if I am in the area and I will bring friends. Must. Try for all my followers. Follow me for more reviews.

Google
Came in for a couple margaritas. We tried the spicy margarita…. It is a would not order again for me. Service was good, everyone was very nice, indoor and outdoor seating. Food looked good, we didn’t eat here. Grabbed some candy and called it a night

Maestro Tacos is a must-visit for taco lovers! The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic, with plenty of options to choose from. The service is friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a meal, Maestro Tacos always delivers great taste and quality!

Google
The tacos are delicious. I got some street tacos and tried all the meats. And the birria tacos. My friend got a burrito that he enjoyed. I guess they can be a bit more expensive compared to other places but you can tell the ingredients are authentic and high quality. We got our order for takeout and the woman behind the counter was friendly.

Google
That place is always vibe ! Sounds & Music is fun and they’re always playing the latest sports event on tv !! Cute date spot ! I tried the street tacos ( Trompo ) and they were decent , Not an average street tacos , however flavorful toppings & Everything was hot and fresh and I absolutely love that !!

Google
The tacos are the SIZE of the palm of your hand. We ordered 10 tacos and paid $52.75. Then they upcharge .45 cent for a flour tortilla instead of corn. By the time I requested 6 flour tortillas, I had paid for an entire pack. The food wasn't worth the price we paid.

Google
Cool place my first time for lunch! I had the taco plate it came with 3 tacos I got 2 chicken 1 barbacoa taco (not my favorite) the guacamole and chips was okay the guacamole had no salt and it was a tiny portion. The sauces they have were so flavorful and tasty!

Google
Overall this is a spot we would definitely visit the next time we're in Fort Worth. The service was great. The guy who took our order greeted us with a smile, was friendly, and was kind and patient as our party decided what we wanted to order. I had the birria with was really good. The consome was great! The only thing I would have added alwas onions and cilantro to the actual tacos instead of just on the consome. My dining partner had the chicken quesadilla. He said it was good but wished it had a little more cheese pull. All of our food was piping hot, which we loved. We went early, so no cocktails this go 'round. Will definitely be trying the margaritas next time. The churros were pretty good too. We tried one of each. The chips were freshly homemade. Delicious! The queso was lacking flavor a bit, but still decent. Just not great. And we got all of that for $40! Can't beat it in this economy! As for atmosphere, we sat inside and loved being able to see into the kitchen and watching the tortillas being made. The door was open a lot due to people coming in and out, so there were a few flies. But they weren't awfully bothersome. Just had to play a little round of "shoo fly" for part of our visit. They also have plenty of patio seating. All in all, we're excited to try more of the menu when we come back.

Yelp
The food was so tasty! We got the Birria tacos and they were on point, so delicious. We also got the Super Fries with chicken and they were SO good with everything on them. I can't wait to come back and try something else on the menu!

Brooke A.

Yelp
Great ambiance. I got the birria tacos this time which were okay, but previously I got carne asada tacos which were delicious. The chips and guacamole was also delicious!

Ricky ..

Yelp
Pretty cool taco spot in the West 7th area. Nothing too fancy inside which I appreciate and very chill. Tried a few of their tacos and they were pretty good. The elote was solid as well. I didn't get to try any of the margaritas but need to go back to try them along with some of their other food options. Overall, had a good experience for my first time trying this spot.

Toya L.

Yelp
The ambiance is very basic. Chairs are not the most comfortable, but I never eat inside. I do like it has a patio option. The food has never missed since I started coming. It is always good and fresh. I always get the nachos (half chicken, half steak). The portion is very generous. I have yet to finish a plate of nachos in one sitting. The price matches the food for sure. The service has been decent for the most part. This very last time we went, the girl working the register was having a hard time getting our order correct. It took for me to repeat the same thing multiple times in order for her to finally get it correct. Hopefully she was just having a rough day or many things on her mind. This has definitely been put into our rotation for regular places.

Freda R.

Yelp
Tacos were good. Service was pretty fast today. Chips and salsa were my favorite today. Margarita was ok. This was my second time! Of course I would go back if and when in Fort Worth.

Nikki A. J.

Yelp
Definitely a great late night spot to grab yummy birria tacos and tasty margs! The birria taco platter is stuffed with meat and cheese so be hungry! The meat was tender and flavorful and the juice was just as good! I think my favorite of the night was my strawberry mango margarita, it was everything I had hoped for!

Leah F.

Yelp
We had the Birria tacos, the trio of guacamole, cheese, dip, and salsa, the Elotes was ok-The guacamole did not slap, too much chunk not enough avocado.. I don't really dig the chips. The Birria is good. the great service and that the establishment is clean as well. I love that the salsa is served hot

Julio G.

Yelp
Love this place!! The atmosphere is great and lively. The food is crazy delicious and the service is great! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the birria tacos are 10/10!

Gaurav C.

Yelp
One of the most amazing Mexican food I've ever had. Best service and friends staff. Do try this place of your vegetarian, you have a lot of options

Sumi J.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! The only downside is parking. Thankfully we went to lunch on a Wednesday so there were spots right in front the restaurant. I also loved that the first 2 hours were free. A plus is that it is dog friendly. My pup hung under the picnic table and loved the shade... and tortilla chips. We ordered 4 steak tacos and an order of salsa and chips. The steak tacos were great! They were flavorful and did not skimp on the ingredients. There was a nice amount of grilled onions and a pepper. My favorite part of the whole meal was the chips and salsa. I'll be honest, I'm not the type to order chips and salsa unless they're complimentary but these.... The chips were fresh and crispy. The salsa was spicy. It has a good kick. I'm hoping at some point to see a red salsa. I really like this place. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
$14 for three tacos is a hefty price, no matter how delicious. Great flavor, although a little heavy on the cilantro, but that is more personal preference. The meal was filling and the consommé gave a nice juiciness to the taco that otherwise may have been a little dry. Will have to try their other menu options next time!

Brenda V.

Yelp
Stopped by during a little few hour trip and this place was so good. The salsas are not spicy at all but good flavor. Definitely recommend. We ate on the patio and it was nice

Paul S.

Yelp
Friendly staff. The menu board needs to explain what each main item has (items it is made up of). The food was fresh and quickly made. I had the Pollo Asado quesadilla. Roasted Chicken.

Jeremy W.

Yelp
Great vibe of the place. I got the Asada and wife got the Birria. Really liked the Birria way more. One issue is that it took at least 45 mins to get simple tacos.

Jessica T.

Yelp
Birria tacos are really good! Location is very close to Dickies Arena. Plenty of patio tables are available. Staff is always friendly.

Robert H.

Yelp
Fantastic casual Mexican food. Order at the counter and eat inside or outside at the picnic tables. Chips with homemade guac was a winner as was my burrito, all accompanied by a delicious margarita. Winner!

Peggy W.

Yelp
The food was the right temperature and seasoning Beef Gordita 's I love it with the sausage verde (green) it is delicious. The service was fast and the staff is friendly. The atmosphere is a hints of Latin and Spanish , you will have self seat. I ordered a barbocoa Gordita to go the make a great hand food. Also lovely Gordita comes with red and green sauce.

Brittany F.

Yelp
Check In now on the Yelp app for discount! ** I saw once I came to place review, and missed out on 25% discount. Food/Drinks Trio- the chips were great, I believe they're made fresh. * Queso- 3/5- hot but chunky *Salsa 5/5 *Guacamole 4/5 Wouldn't order the trio again. But the salsa was great! Birria Tacos - 2/5. Should've read the reviews first. These were a no for me. Taste odd & no flavor. Burrito 5/5 nice size, best tasting item we ordered. Decent service, no waitstaff once seated. But ordering process went smoothly. Help yourself to anything you need (sauces, etc) Seating available on two different lit patios or inside with TV & music.

Morgan A.

Yelp
Ambiance is amazing! Very modern and trendy! Margaritas 10 FOOD 10 Service 10 Everything was great! Great for a date, or group hang out spot! Side note: pay attention to the pay to park signs near the restaurant, there is public parking walking distance to the restaurant

Deya Z.

Yelp
LOVED LOVED LOVED this place. It was pretty quiet on a Christmas week visit but that was perfect for us. Their vibe reminded me of a family backyard bbq or Cali taco place, so i felt right at home! The chips and queso were solid- delish! The tacos: Trompo and barbacoa were amazing, the fajita was less impressive. They have 2 salsas up at the front with small cups- the green one was my personal fave. The margaritas were good but not super great compared to other places. we'll definitely come back!

Sonya N.

Yelp
My gfs and I got there around 8pm on a Monday and it was not that busy. They had ordered before me and there were a few people after me. I ended up having to wait for over 20min for my food and by the time I received my food, my friends were already done eating. The customers after me were getting food before me and I wasn't sure what the hold up was. Service was okay but the food tasted great. We got the Birria tacos, chicken quesadilla, elotes, steak quesadilla, barbacoa tacos, and fajita steak taco. I highly recommend the quesadillas and tacos! The elotes did taste bland and was missing some flavor. If you want some spice, add the red hot sauce. (Forgot to take pics of the tacos)

Samantha D.

Yelp
WHAT I LIKE AND WHAT I DON'T LIKE. WHAT I LIKE: The food is great. I always get the birria tacos with elote in a cup. Drinks are strong and good price. Love their margs. Food is out FAST. So you won't wait that long. Even when it's full the longest you'll wait would be like 15 minutes. WHAT I DON'T LIKE: Space. It's so small. I wish it was bigger the aesthetic is fine the vibe is great but they run out of space INDOORS. Which is fine when weather is nice but when it's too cold or too hot it SUCKS. Other than that if there was more tables and space inside I'd give it 5 full stars.

Joselin B.

Yelp
This was an order from Uber eats so you never know if it's going to be good or bad.... however the birria tacos were delicious and had a good amount of beef. Gordita, and the fajita corn tacos were good as well, but we did not get any chile or salsa on the side. I think it's because we ordered chips and salsa but still they should have provided some for the entrees. Also the salsa for the chips is spicy but watery it does not have a thick consistency. The only thing I would recommend to the restaurant is to layer the elote to where it's corn, mayo, cheese, corn, mayo, cheese, instead of all of it being on top.

Veronica M.

Yelp
We came here for the first time to get some Birria tacos. This place is pricey. But the tacos are legit! We came here a few times with the kids. The food came out quick, and the staff was knowledgeable. The location itself is a bit small. But they do have outdoor seating with heaters. So that's now bad. But def recommend this place!

Andrea G.

Yelp
Maestro's is by far our favorite place to eat in Fort Worth and surrounding areas. Their food is ALWAYS fantastic, the atmosphere is incredible, upbeat, and fun. The staff is so welcoming and are truly great people. Every time we have friends or family visiting, this is where we take them to eat. They are always so impressed, that they want to come here AGAIN before the end of their stay. If you haven't been here, put it on your bucket list.

Riann M.

Yelp
Fantastic tacos, chips and salsa. Definitely trying the cheese dip next time. I hate trying to park in this area but there's free parking if you are just dining and leaving.

April S.

Yelp
We popped in for dinner before seeing a show at nearby Casa Manana. Parking is across the street unless you are lucky enough to find a spot on the street. The location has two patios. One directly in front and one to the right of the entrance. I swear I missed this one until we left and I saw people sitting in the area. The place is popular. They sell pictures of margaritas but we didn't buy alcohol on this trip knowing we were going to the show. We both ordered bowls. One with steak and one with chicken. I didn't see a description anywhere and we realized after we finished that there was rice and beans on the bottom. Food was good though. My biggest complaint is the amount of time you wait for food. We ordered guac and chips and we got a serving of chips for four people but a cup of guac that would serve one. Check it out for yourself. I bet the pictures of margaritas are awesome. I think I saw one for $100!

Joseph R.

Yelp
Staff is friendly and the service was pretty fast. Inside is OK, not filthy but far from spotless. Biggest issue I had was the food! Nachos looked ok but could have been warmer. They only lasted about 20 minutes in my stomach before they made a quick exit! Not sure what happened but won't be coming back after that!

JJ F.

Yelp
Liked the tacos but I never has warmed saldo before. At first I didn't think I liked it, then went back for seconds! friendly and very close to hotel.

Kate C.

Yelp
Tortillas are hand made and one of the best tacos in texas! Highly recommend the barbacoa and steak tacos. Will be back for sure.

Madison M.

Yelp
I always have a good time when I come here with friends and family. Their salsa is amazing. The tacos, including the birria tacos are good but could use more consume. The margaritas are a little sweet in my opinion, and not as strong as they could be The staff are friendly, and the ambience is nice. We usually sit out on the patio. I recommend this place to everyone!

Kelsey C.

Yelp
10/10 - Food, Drinks, Vibes The Margs and Ranch Water are The service is always great, even when packed!

Heather J.

Yelp
I was in the area and looked up restaurants and stumbled across this taco spot. This is down a one-way street. There are a few parking spots in front of the restaurant and more parking behind the restaurant. There is outdoor patio seating and maybe 10-12 tables inside the restaurant. We ordered the chips and queso and they were amazing. You can tell the chips are authentic, the queso was sooooo good. I got the chicken corn tacos, the red sauce is actually hot (I love a little spice). I would recommend and definitely go back again and again.

Aj R.

Yelp
I came here today and me and my son loved it the tacos were so good well seasoned this place just became my favorite spot

Kayla C.

Yelp
Been having a hard time finding tacos I actually like in the DFW area but Maestro really impressed me. The place is so cute and has a good amount of sitting space. I visited during the day and night. At night it's poppin and they stay open real late. During the a day, they have a good Happy Hour too. The tacos are good, queso was cheesy and spicy, and even though I don't really like on the rocks margs, it was actually pretty good.

Britt P.

Yelp
I stopped here after my regular taco spot closed for the day unexpectedly. I really wanted some birria tacos and I knew I was talking a risk since most of the time it's hit or miss with them. These birria tacos were ok. The spice was there but the flavor was lacking a bit. They came in handy when I really wanted some tacos but they weren't something to call home about. The did have homemade chips too go with their queso which was yummy but overall it was decent. One other thing that I personally don't care for is they allow dogs inside. I don't like dogs in eating establishments but that's just my preference.

Maram M.

Yelp
What an awsome place, lovely patio (few sets of stairs up the restrant), walk up to order kinda of place I heard so much about their Birria Tacos so I had to go try them, and they were awsome!!!! 3 tacos, very filling, comes with a dipping sauce and I mean stew like sauce, it was a bit on a heavier side (a lot of oil), but great flavors, fet the green sauce super yummy I also ordered al pastor taco and OMG it was sooo good!!! And guess what? They make their tortilla in house (both flour and corn!!! The guac and chips were amazing I got my orders to go along with a mango margaritas yummm and a half with tajin!!!! This place is a must try, and as long as you keep it up, I'll be a customer for life!!!

Jeff K.

Yelp
I really wanted to get Birria tacos, but when i saw the menu didn't think it was worth the 11 bucks. However, i did end up getting a trompo (al pastor) burrito and a order of super fries w/ fajita steak. Honestly, when i left california and moved to DFW, i was scared i wasn't able to get carne asada fries. if a place offers it, i will always get it. lots of mexican places in socal offers it and didn't know it that was the case here as well. i'm glad maestro tacos does. The burrito was interesting, but delicious. They put the tomatoes and the lettuce outside. don't think i've seen that before. But inside the burrito, it packed full of flavor. they even had small chunks of pineapple in it. The super fries were surprisingly good. I loved the fries they used, and it was a perfect blend of meat, cheese and sauce. Make sure you get some red/green sauce for your food. it's not too spicy and adds more flavor to it. Make sure you pay the parking machine or park in the back. When i went, i saw a parking cop giving out tickets. there are seats outside and some seats inside. They also have a large tv near where you pick up your food.

Omar M.

Yelp
Bad service from the cashier over the counter. Female with glasses. She does not want to be there. Food was good though. Went for lunch during the week.

Shariece J.

Yelp
This place was a vibe, from the decor to the music to the food! It was bomb!! Staff was amazing and friendly. I went on a Saturday afternoon on a mommy /daughter date but I can't wait to come back and get margaritas!

Aaron H.

Yelp
Vibe wise I love Maestro, no doubt a solid place to chill and catch a vibe while eating. The patio during warmer days will for sure be packed. Food was just 'okay' to me. Not a huge fancy of spicy, but will say the kick from their salsa wasn't overpowering and probably my favorite menu item of the night. While there I also tried the elote & birria tacos which were a little bland. The birria tacos were, I would've liked the meat to have a bit more flavor profile than what they did. Meat could be seasoned a bit more, though the consume served with the tacos was on par. The elote was missing the spice I'm used too, the butter on the corn was a little overpowering. Staff was great during the visit, cashier recommendations were helpful. Looks like they have happy hour so I'll definitely be back to give Maestro another shot!

Mike V.

Yelp
I love tacos and real Mexican food! That being said it is very white washed food.. margaritas was a bad mix. The Trompo was just a pan cooked alpastor. The place was nice but dirty. No tables were wiped down .

Helen S.

Yelp
Updating my review so readers have the most recent information. This restaurant has changed, their look has been upgraded! They added an additional outdoor sitting area which is super cute, upgraded their menu board, etc. Food however, has been downgraded. Visited last night with some out of town guests to show them my favorite taco place and was disappointed. The birria tacos were soggy (not crunchy at all how they used to be), the new corn tortillas on their regular tacos were soggy too. Strawberry margaritas are still delicious though!

Emily M.

Yelp
I always have to preface my reviews for Mexican food consumed in Texas by saying that I'm from San Diego. My preferences are going to be different from those around here. But...this spot is good. Really good. $13 for three packed full birria tacos and delicious consomme - steep for some, just fine for me. A massive margarita (extra green for St. Patrick's day, the day I dined in? Or just the normal hue?) was perfectly balanced and very good. Love the ambience, love the food. Will be back!

Trung N.

Yelp
Come here for an indulgent taco experience! Maestro Tacos, by far, served me the richest and meatiest tacos I've ever had. The tacos came straight from the oil pan and you have to be careful if your fingertips are not used to hot things. The tacos were soft and crunchy at the same time. We got the beef birria tacos and the meat was really tender, well-seasoned, and more than enough in quantity. The dish came with a consome which you can dip the tacos in. Needless to say, the already rich tacos are even richer with each dip. With $13, you also got 3 huge tacos which were enough to fill me up for the rest of the night. Watch out for the jalapeños though. While mine was not at all spicy and provided the right amount of kick, my sister's was really spicy and I could only took one bite of it! Additionally, I didn't get to try their drink menu but it looks very fun and creative. Lots of other customers ordered drinks.

Jordan I.

Yelp
Chips here were thin, crispy, salty and hot. We loved the trio. The green salsa, guacamole and queso that came in the trio were fantastic. Delicious food, great atmosphere, very quick service. Definitely will be back sometime soon.

LaTosha S.

Yelp
Nachos=delicious. I thought finding a decent nacho in DFW was a lost cause. And then I found maestro! Their nachos remind me of home (Cali). Visiting maestro is now an every other week ritual for my son and I. So glad I found this place.

Amber C.

Yelp
We ended up going here 2 days in a row on our trip. Everything was good and a reasonable price. It's perfect for a late night bite.

Tierra SheReviewz Z.

Yelp
Stopped in after an event. I'm a sucker for birria tacos but these weren't hitting like I needed them too. I wish the sauce had more of a kick or flavor. The chips and queso also was just okay. Also, not sure if the margaritas are pre made but I would've loved a bit more tequila.
