Mag's Wine Kitchen

"Two things catch your attention when you set your foot in this long-standing household name – the small walk-in cellar, and the bustling open kitchen where chef-owner Mag commands the team. What it lacks in space, it more than makes up for in delicious food and an extensive wine selection. On the French and Italian-heavy menu, quality ingredients are shrewdly prepared into rich and flavourful courses, with clean and modern mise en place." - Michelin Inspector

Mags Wine Kitchen always delivers — friendly staff, good food, and a great wine list. I stopped by during the soft launch at their new location and noticed the fries (my go-to) weren’t on the menu (They might be back on the regular menu after the soft launch). I asked about them, and the chef kindly made them anyway — even brought out the same sauce I had (and loved) on Valentine’s Day, which the waiter somehow remembered. Chef Mag herself is lovely — she often takes the time to chat with guests and share bits of her life, which adds a real personal touch. Thoughtful service like that is rare. Just a genuinely nice place to relax and enjoy good food and company.

The meal is definitely one of my favorite for my trip in Singapore. Very modern design and cozy atmosphere. Every dish felt thoughtful with balanced and comforting seasoning. Beef tartare and lobster risotto are the dishes you will never go wrong. The service is absolutely amazing. The restaurant was still in their soft opening when we went, but the waiters and Mag were really trying to maximize our experience. My friends are their regular customer, and we requested some dishes from the last menu. MAG’s people made it happen and it was as nice as before. Great restaurant, will definitely come back again. Thank you Mag!

We visited Mag’s Wine Kitchen last Friday night without a reservation and to our surprise there were plenty of seats even on a Friday evening. We opted for their set course menu, and every dish exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly attentive, regularly checking in to make sure everything was to our liking. They explained each dish in detail, including the ingredients and even shared their personal thoughts on the food. You can really feel their passion for what they do, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, I’m allergic to alcohol, as they mentioned some dishes pair especially well with wine. But even without it, the food alone was worth the visit.

I ordered the chef’s omakase. The young chef created a wonderful course, using luxurious ingredients generously yet with perfect balance. The atmosphere and service were excellent. The wine selection was refined, and the prices were very reasonable. I’ve found another restaurant I truly love in Singapore. Looking forward to go back.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere! Enjoyed each dish. Was really happy with the seafood theme that I had that night. They also gave me a free yuzu sorbet as a birthday dessert. Nice gesture!

Dining at Mag’s Wine Kitchen was like being welcomed into the chef’s home. The ambiance is casual and intimate, with a warm, unpretentious vibe that makes you feel instantly at ease. The food is a perfect balance of classic French technique and local flavor, showcasing the chef’s creativity without being over the top. The dishes look deceptively simple but are packed with flavour. We were lucky enough to try a special dish—mussels in laksa broth—that was simply out of this world. The rich, fragrant broth paired perfectly with the delicate mussels, offering a unique twist on a beloved local favorite. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, yet approachable, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. If you’re looking for a place with heart, where you can enjoy beautifully executed food without the fuss, Mag’s is a must-visit. Can’t wait to go back!

The place shifted to Keong Saik from circular road and has been around For ages. The kitchen is now helmed by a very young but exciting chef. The cuisine is modern French Japanese fusion. Try their tasting menu which is a reasonable $148++ which includes 5 courses. Trust me it’s filling. The sommen and abalone risotto was really well executed. Loved the sauce that came with the asparagus. Sour dough is provided for u to lap up the sauce. Wines are reasonable for pairing. Good place to Relak. Worth a return.
