First time at The Magic Lamp Inn, and I honestly can’t even describe how magical the experience was. Walking in felt like teleporting back to 1950s-1960s Las Vegas or stepping into a classic old-school Los Angeles joint where superstars once hung out. There’s no pressure to impress here. The background hum is saxophone, Elvis, and the sound of people actually socializing, laughing, smiling, and being present. The energy in the room is warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Everyone is there to decompress and enjoy themselves, and you can feel that the moment you walk in. The service is extremely professional yet personal. The staff is warm, attentive, and truly makes you feel seen and taken care of. It’s rare to find a place where the vibe and the service are both this strong. The Magic Lamp Inn is the kind of place you come to celebrate something special, birthdays, anniversaries, or even a proposal if you’re into eccentric colors, sound, and atmosphere. The whole experience made me feel like I was in a movie, maybe The Godfather or something timeless and cinematic. I absolutely love this space, and I’m so happy I got to experience it.

Excellent Steakhouse in Rancho Cucamonga – MAGIC LAMP MAGIC LAMP delivered an outstanding steakhouse experience and was the perfect choice for my wife’s birthday dinner. The atmosphere is warm, classy, and welcoming—great for a special occasion. The steaks were cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. The sides and drinks complemented the meal beautifully, and the service was friendly, attentive, and made the night feel special. On top of the amazing food, the entertainment really set this place apart. The Elvis impersonator was awesome, and the magician added a fun, memorable touch that made the evening even more unique. Overall, MAGIC LAMP is a top-tier steakhouse in Rancho Cucamonga and a place we’ll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We absolutely loved Magic Lamp Inn! The vibe was fantastic — cozy, warm, and inviting, with live singers that really added to the experience. As if that wasn’t enough, there was even a magician performing up-close magic at the tables, which was incredibly entertaining and such a fun surprise. The decor felt classic and intimate, and everything looked clean and well cared for. The service was top-notch. The bartenders were attentive and friendly, management even stopped by to check on how we were doing, and our server was kind, communicative, and on point all night. A small but much-appreciated detail: the menus lit up, so we didn’t need to use our phone flashlights — such a thoughtful touch! Now for the food… wow. The salmon and filets were absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. From start to finish, it was a wonderful dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Really loved this place. Atmosphere was an 11 out of 10. Super cool. Staff was amazing. Really made it feel like a special experience. Tons of parking. Food was excellent and for what it was very reasonably priced. Service was amazing and really appreciated. The manager coming by to tell us about the place and answer any questions and ask about us. We want us a large party for a birthday and everyone had a really great time.

Wow where do I start! Child/ family friendly! The atmosphere, the ambiance, the tables and wall decor, the lighting- GORGEOUS! So much more beautiful inside than any picture can capture. I love the three separate sections and we were SOOO happy to be seated in the piano room! With our frank sinatra dude Eddie and the sweet Logan! My son was at dinner with us and his name is Logan too, he noticed I wasn’t a fan of the scallops- just my taste, and he was funny about helping me ask for something different lol I appreciated that and was ready not to say anything lol but Angelica was a doll! Lovely waitress and hope to see her next time so I can tip her better 🤗 thank you all soo much, This was the best dinner I’ve been to ever. Oh man how lucky we were that Logan and Eddie sang together. The rack of lamb and filet mingoin was delicious. The bone marrow, delicious, my bf said the pork belly was to die for. Even the bread& butter was yummy! Can’t wait to come back! I booked a table for next week lol hoping we end up in the same dining room ! Thank you guys again 🥰 I want to know who the owner is of this hidden gem ❤️ Great experience from entering the door and the woman who greeted us, to the Angelica our waitress, to the singers Eddie and Logan. Loved everything, take my money! Lol Oh, and I appreciate Angelica suggesting drinks, I didn’t realize the drink menu was there and she was naming some good ones! Pricey BUT it’s WORTH IT! I expected to spend more, so 350- for three of us, 4 drinks total, 3 entrees, 2 starters and tip included, it was all worth it ❤️ Thankfully was able to virtually top our singers also. We walked in with reservations, waited less than 5 minutes to be seated :) and they had a beautiful waiting area right there near the hostess ☺️ The live music is my favorite!

First time visit and our dinner experience was absolutely wonderful. We were seated almost immediately and enjoyed a cozy table for two. Love the illuminated menus. Alfonso was our server and was very attentive and gracious throughout. Our meal was so delicious. Started with a wedge salad and my filet mignon was cooked to perfection. My husband’s porterhouse would’ve been perfect as well, except it was a little too medium well for his taste (he ordered medium rare). My lemon drop martini was amazing too! We were also pleasantly surprised at how reasonable our check was and our meal included drinks and desert! We loved everything about this very cool, old school steakhouse and we will definitely be back!

We were here to celebrate the day we met here 20 years ago. What a beautiful place. We were pleased with the atmosphere, the food was excellent, and the service was absolutely superb! From the hostess, the bartenders, and the service staff...they all made our evening one to remember. We promise not to wait another 20 years to come back. Girl dinner at Magic Lamp Inn was perfection. We started with Lychee martinis and Very Berry Lemon Drops both amazing. The butcher board was the best choice, with incredible quality meats, cheeses, and charcuterie toppings. For our mains, we had the sea bass, filet mignon, and tequila pasta with shrimp, plus lobster mac & cheese, Cobb, and Caesar salads everything was fresh, high quality, and full of flavor. The complimentary magic show had us shocked and laughing, and Elvis even performed and stopped by our table! The staff was so kind and welcoming. We’re officially making this our monthly girl dinner spot. An absolute must visit! ✨🍸🎩🎶

I celebrated my birthday here with family and had a really great time! The hostess was incredibly sweet and courteous, greeting us upon entry and allowing us to explore the beautiful space while they added some special last touches to the table, such as balloons courtesy of the restaurant. They had a live jazz singer in the lounge while we enjoyed our meal and he was incredible - singing Sinatra, Anka, and more. It really added to the sophisticated ambiance. Appreciated that the menus light up (literally) when you open them so you can enjoy the natural ambience of the dimly lit space without whipping a phone out for light. It's a very thoughtful touch. All our drinks and food were delicious; we enjoyed every last morsel and were even served cheesecake for dessert to celebrate! Amy was such an attentive, professional server and we loved everything about our experience here. Always love a Clearman's spot and will be excited to come back for more special occasions when I visit home. HIGHLY recommend The Magic Lamp Inn!

We came here last week for my birthday and it was everything! The service from the moment we walked in was wonderful. The hostess, our waitress to the entertainment. The place is very nostalgic like old mob boss Al Capon-ish. There was a live singer and she was so good and so cute! I had the lobster and it was huge and delicious. My husband had the Ribeye which was huge and the shrimp. I recommend this restaurant for the style and ambiance alone but the food was very well prepared. I can't wait to go again!!! Pricey like any other upscale steak restaurant but with more charm and appeal! Go now!

I love the building and how it's decorated it's definitely a vibe, it's low lighting, and romantic and has live entertainment. The food was delicious, we ordered a variety of things and they were all good. Our service was a little slow, but our server had a great personality so no complaints. It definitely looks amazing since reopening and revamping everything. Definitely worth visiting.

I decided to take my BF to a fancy restaurant for his birthday. I knew he'd like an old skool place with lots of rich wood, romantic mood lighting, stain glass, old standards on rotation, and a songstress We dined on chicken and mash potatoes; and pasta primavera with chicken; and tiramisu. It's the perfect place for a romantic date, birthday, or anniversary. It's not cheap I spent a $100 for two, but it was worth it, the BF was impressed

The food was amazing! I had the Filet mignon medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The service was good and the ambiance was amazing. We came to celebrate my birthday and they do complimentary cheese cake and a magician and they have amazing live music. Very romantic and perfect for any special occasion. They have a beautiful magic garden in the back and the decor is very cute. I had been there before they remodeled and I will definitely be back and recommend.

Came here for our anniversary dinner with my boyfriend and it did not disappoint! We made the reservations pretty last minute but there were still plenty of spots opened on a weekday. I love how exclusive and attention to detail everything is here. They are very specific on the attire of guests that arrive. There was a couple who wanted to spot by their bar for drinks but were turned away because they were in shorts and a tshirt. The food was great and nicely presented. I tried their alcoholic lemon drop beverage and it was delicious! Their shrimp bisque was very creamy and delicious as well. I really enjoyed the steak paired with the cream corn. We also tried the tequila pasta with chicken which we were not too fond of. The atmosphere of the restaurant feels very homey and warm...they also have live entertainment! Edward was very nice and came to each table to greet us and welcome us which was so lovely!

This place is most definitely a vibe. Feels so vintage and unique. Every corner is picturesque and something different going on. Friday thru Sunday is definitely the time to go. They have entertainment like a magician walking around or a Frank Sinatra impersonator singing. With that being said some seating feels more premium because you're closer to the action. I didn't love the corner we were place in as it felt too far from anything. Our service was good and the staff were friendly overall. If I was eating only the food and just the food I would say 3 stars. The food is good but for the price point I'm expecting excellent. We had appetizers like the bone marrow which was delicious but the bacon jam was a little sweet. The complimentary bread was lovely though along with the veggies was a truly nice touch. We shared a lot of our food since the size of the entree was rather large. You can definitely share a lot if you're looking to try multiple items. The steak was cooked perfectly along with the fixings. The star was definitely the lobster Mac n cheese. The food again was good but for the price point you're paying for the extras like the ambiance. This is a place you come to for a special occasion and would I come back on a random Friday probably not but would I bring my loved ones on a special occasion yes. The parking lot is fairly big so you won't have to worry about finding a spot and overall you will enjoy yourself as it's an experience as much as it is a meal. Also note they have a dress code so plan accordingly. It also adds to the experience so do dress nice.

First thing I thought when I walked through the door is what a beautiful ambiances restaurant has a taste of elegance the host was very graceful and polite very clean..And a beauty for your eyes to see. In additional to all this, they have live music, beautiful and graceful. And delightful to the ears! I've had their lychee and french martini the best i've had.. Been wanting to try this place for years. My wife and I would drive by it and say we should go there sometime. We'll finally that time had come. We walked in to meet friendly hostesses. We had a reservation to celebrate my wife's birthday. She asked us to wait by the bar while they got our table ready. We notices a lounge with a lavishly dressed piano tickling the ivory while we enjoyed our cocktails. A few minutes later. They sat us at a nice table with Ballon decorations which was a sweet touch for my wife's bday. We noticed they had an Elvis impersonator the man was electric kept moving and grooving the whole time we were there. Belting out such classics as Viva Las Vegas to Can't help Falling in love. He was great! Now on to the meal. They started us off with a complimentary veggie medly. Then we started off the bone marrow it was so buttery and delicious. And pan seared pork belly in bourbon sauce so deeelish. Now on to the entrees, I got the bone in ribeye and she had the porterhouse. Both cooked to perfection. We had lobster mac and cheese and garlic honey roasted mash potatoes. Deeeeeelish! The cocktails were on point and Elvis came and greeted us at our table to end the night. The Magic Lamp is a classic steak-house fine dining experience unique to Southern California located on historic Route 66 in Rancho Cucamonga. The ambiance and decor is exactly what you would expect for the likes of the Rat Pack and old-Hollywood types to call home. Service is exceptional, we were greeted by the hostess Anna and although my reservation had gone from 2 to 4 guests, she accommodated us graciously. My guests and I were treated to an exceptionally talented Frank Sinatra impersonator who crooned the evening away in his full tuxedo. During dinner service we were also treated to some close-up magic because, why not? We ARE at the Magic Lamp! He just blew us away with his sleight-of-hand talents. Our cocktails were perfect and dinner was great. 16oz New York and lobster tail did not disappoint. Definitely will return to celebrate special occasions or for a special treat.

My darling husband surprised me by taking me to the Magic Lamp did my Birthday. We were greeted by name. It's got that old school charm with a piano player and a lovely singer named Wendy. The menus light up! No phones please. The food is amazing. Tuna tower, pear salad, Sea bass and New York Steak. Our server Amy was very kind and suggested a wine pairing for the salad course and dinner course. I would show you our meals but they were delicious.

First I'll start off with the ambiance, 5-star! Clean, friendly, and nostalgic. From the Elvis impersonator to the Saxophone player to the friendly staff (something so rare now days). Second, I'll tell you about the food, Filet Mignon was better than any other steak I've had in my life! 100/10! As for the drinks, I had The Golden Hour. It was sweet, but not too sweet. Lastly, dessert is on its way, but I don't put it past 10/10.

Lived in Upland for 10 years and finally made it here. Definitely has great ambiance and decor. It's what you would expect from a place that has been around since 1955. The food is a throwback to your classic steak house from the past, great service and good food. We came in a Saturday night and they had a wonderful singer performing classic lounge music. I ordered the prime rib but unfortunately they were out, that was a bit of a bummer since they only have it on Fridays and Saturdays. I ended up with the rib eye instead, I ordered it med rare, it was perfectly cooked. Our overall experience was good, for a night it definitely was a blast from the past in a good way.

This is my new favorite restaurant and so worth the drive from ! It's so magical and like a Disneyland for adults! Everything is 5/5 stars here - the cocktails, food, ambiance, service. I had the Golden Hour cocktail which was smoky sweet, the perfect accompaniment to the interior of the restaurant. Their food was so good too! The filet mignon and the sea bass were too notch! I love the crispy crust on the fish and the soft flaky inside. So perfectly cooked! The interior is cozy lodge meets Americana. Think Magic Castle vibes, feels very exclusive too. Photos of Marilyn Monroe matched the songstress' songs. She was singing by the cozy big fire place and took requests. They even had a magician who did some tricks tableside. He was amazing as well! And the menu?! How magical that it lights up! Good for us old people who can't see very well in dim light. :) The service was spectacular. Super friendly and accommodating! I can't wait to go back for more!

All the magic's in the lamp... not the kitchen The Magic Lamp Inn looks like the kind of place where you're about to have a legendary meal -- warm lighting, retro charm, a killer vibe, and live entertainment that sets the tone just right. The service? Absolutely on point. Our server was friendly, fast, and made the night feel special. Then came the food... and the "magic" kind of disappeared. Pun intended. The Old Fashioned was the real showstopper -- perfectly balanced and probably the best thing we had all night. Honestly, I'd come back just for the bar. But when your cocktail has more flavor than your entrée, something's off. We tried the prime rib and Chilean sea bass, both of which were begging for flavor, maybe a sauce for the sea bass and seasoning on the prime rib. For the price, I expected fireworks -- instead, it was more like a flickering candle. The sides were a mixed bag: the wedge salad was good but had barely any bacon, tomato, or onion (the holy trinity of wedge toppings!). The grilled asparagus and plated corn held their own, but the mashed potatoes and lobster mac and cheese? Flavor MIA. So yeah -- great service, fun atmosphere, amazing drinks... but the kitchen needs to find its spark. When you're paying steakhouse prices, the flavor shouldn't be playing hide-and-seek.

This place is just as magical on the inside as the outside makes it seem. The food was delicious. And the bartenders were very friendly as well as the wait staff and hostess. The manager/owner came by to check on us and make sure everything was ok. They did apologize for the long wait in our section as they were understaffed for the night. Wendy was the star of the night. She has the voice of an angel, very friendly and interacted with us many times. She kept us entertained and even though we had to wait a long while for our food she made it seem like it didn't take as long. Thank you Wendy for making my birthday celebration oh so special!

Having the best time, have been wanting to come and see for myself how great this place is... so here we are on our 10th anniversary.. Elvis is in the house!! THIS is where you make your debut, from the gas lit Lamp on the exterior of historic 66 to the elevated transportation of glow , and decadence with in its interior. prepare yourself for an experience. YES , the cocktails arouse the pallet .. YES THE menu invites you to chin up and pridefully indulge. Make sure your attire speaks volumes as this domain deserves no less. You shall enjoy, and I don't speak this slightly. Forgetting to acknowledge the superior, staff and service would be the highest insult . From our greetings with Anna, who owns whatever room she graces, to our personal server Angelica, whom left to inquiries unanswered, or our desires unwanted without request.. The restaurant is beautiful: It looks festive like a Ritz-Carlton Christmas. The staff was very kind from the time we walked in. The wait staff, Alphonzo,f was very attentive and efficient. I absolutely loved the food. I had the Chilean sea bass. It was light and delicious. They spend a lot of money on entertainment: Elvis sang the entire time, a magician visited the table and was captivating.

This place is a blast from the past ... in a good way! Much of the restaurant is original...the light fixtures, the copper fire hood and brick are all original. It has amazing ambience. The cocktails are well made and the food is good. My husband has the Porterhouse and it was cooked to perfection. I had the Seabass, which was tender and cooked like fish should be cooked... melt in your mouth!

My wife and I are always hesitant to go out to eat because most restaurants are trash and use trash ingredients. We often leave disappointed feeling we could have made a better meal at home. This was not the case tonight. I can't even remember the last time I left a restaurant this satisfied! Our food tasted incredible, great flavor and our steak and chicken were cooked to perfection! Even the Cadillac margarita was spot on! The service was great also, our waitress was attentive and very sweet. The owner came out to check on us as well and they made our Anniversary feel like a big deal. Nothing special but they truly seemed to care about our experience. As a business owner I appreciate this very much. The restaurant is gorgeous, great vibes with the singer, and I appreciate the dress code! It made it feel like a true intimate night out. 10/10 if I could give that many stars. You won't regret coming here for a date night. The menu is pricey but it was worth every single penny. A top 5 all time restaurant experience for me personally.

They have a really cool light up menu, and trust me if you've ever been at a dimly lit "romantic" restaurant it is sooo hard to read those normal tiny print menus. Had the surf n turf, lobster Mac and cheese, and baked potato which was filling for two people to share! There's a cozy fireplace waiting area, live music, and during our time, a magician went around to some tables and did magic tricks which was very interactive. Be sure to dress up, this place has a dress code. Rather than seeing it as limiting, I think it's important to the vibe of the place and I recommend magic lamp inn as a nice dinner date spot!

Had such a great Valentine's Day dinner here! My boyfriend made reservations for their special set menu, and the restaurant had such a cozy and dim light vibe. The decor was unique, and I loved the fireplace in the middle of the restaurant with a live singer performing. On the other side, there was a pianist playing live music, which added to the elegant atmosphere. There's also a small bar where you can grab a drink while you wait or just relax by the fireplace and enjoy the music. Everything felt very warm and inviting. Our server was great, and the food was delicious! The menu even lit up, which was such a cool touch. The bread was amazing, the French onion soup was super tasty, and the steak was flavorful and well-cooked. I'd love to come back on a regular night to try more of their menu. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'd definitely recommend it for a special occasion!

This past Saturday we roamed to the historic Route 66 landmark The Magic Lamp Inn Restaurant. I was, as usual with neon, delighted by their marvelous Aladdin lamp ‍ signage with the added pizzazz of fire snapping out of it. I could hardly contain my excitement just based on the outside structure, but once we got inside...Speechless. The elegance of Smokehouse Burbank except elevated (there's a dress code and I appreciate that...no studio execs in their flip flops here), and a charming twist of Clearman's North Woods Inn (which made sense when I learned the Clearman family transformed it after it had originally opened in 1955 as Lucy and John's Italian Restaurant). Retro vibe. Classy ambiance. Crafted cocktails. Fine dining, rolled out on a cart. We had top notch Prime Rib and Roasted Duck (the best the hubs has ever had). Red leather booths, gorgeous deep colored wood, stained glass windows, tiny table lamps, chandeliers...even a little complimentary veggie ramekin. There's a piano bar, with the life-size likenesses of the Rat Pack sitting around it. Nightly entertainment in the dining area (Elvis on our night). I am so deeply grateful when people come along and save iconic places like The Magic Lamp Inn. Please support that vision and restoration by patronizing this historic gem. They have also added an outdoor nightlife "garden" in the back. This is your place for everything from a happy hour drink to a superb full dining experience. "The Lamp is Lit Once Again. Ready to Relive the Magic?" Heck yes.

This place is amazing. First, the food was so delicious. Second, the live music was so special. We really loved it. The people who work here are so attentive and kind, they really wanted to make sure we had a good time since we'd never been here before. We are very happy and will definitely be coming back.
