Delicious matcha concoctions! Tried their 12oz Magick matcha and loved the flavor. Not usually a matcha person but their special flavors add the right amount of flavor and sweetness to make it very tasty! Super kind staff as well. Will return when I'm around the area.

Google
Cute window ordering tea shop! There was a line for a good reason, this place has yummy drinks and iced— perfect for the hot day. Great matcha to milk ratio, the flavors we got (ube, strawberry) were present but not overpowering. The magick matcha with spirulina was so vibrant and tasted like “normal” matcha when it was swirled in. Parking tough on this road, street parking, check for posted signs.

We were exploring South Congress on a hot day and needed something refreshing. We stumbled upon Magick Matcha and decided to give it a try. Iced 16 oz Magick Matcha ($8): Made with matcha, coconut water, oat milk, blue majik, vanilla syrup, and pink salt (no substitutions). The blue majik didn’t add much in terms of flavor but did give the drink a slightly grainy, chalky texture. The matcha itself was decent quality. Overall, it was a good drink, but we preferred the ube matcha. Iced 16 oz Ube Matcha ($8) + Oat Milk ($1): This one was a standout. The ube concentrate was flavorful, just the right amount of sweet, and paired surprisingly well with the matcha. The ube flavor really came through and didn’t get lost at all. Iced 16 oz Pink Dream ($8): A blend of matcha, coconut water, oat milk, beet root powder, and strawberry syrup (no substitutions). It was enjoyable, but we preferred the Ube and Magick Matcha options—this one was less sweet, with more subtle flavors. Sweet Tea Howdy Can ($5): Lightly carbonated with a very mild sweet tea flavor. Personally, I wouldn’t order it again.

Google
What a little gem. The woman taking our order was so personable and wonderful and her outfit fit the vibe of the area. The magik Matcha was delicious. The OG matcha was also delicious if you want a natural matcha flavor. Prices are what I’d expect.

Super good matcha in the heart of Austin. Great menu and super friendly staff! This place is just a walk up window but service was awesome and the ube matcha was delicious!

I have a slight Matcha obsession... lol so I like to try different Matcha places all over town! I was super excited to try this place while I was in town for the weekend. The person at the front taking orders was great, no complaints there! I tried the seasonal Banana Matcha and unfortunately my Matcha tasted really watered down and chunky. And not the chunky bananas you would hope to taste in the matcha, it was watered down and weird, like the matcha powder was not mixed correctly. Also, it was raining and luckily I had an umbrella, because if I didnt, I would have been soaked. I honestly would not have gone if I didnt have an umbrella. There is no cover and no interior so your at the mercy of the weather at that time.

Google
Magick Matcha is a small grab-and-go matcha spot, not a full café, but rather a walk-up window where you can quickly order and take your drink with you. The menu is focused on matcha-based drinks, offering both traditional matcha and their own creative blends like Magic Matcha Dream and Dream Pink. It’s a convenient stop if you’re on the go and want a high-quality matcha fix. The preparation is done with care, and the flavors are well-balanced. If you’re someone who enjoys starting the day with matcha or prefers it as a refreshing alternative to coffee, this place is worth checking out. While there’s no seating or space to linger, the concept works well for what it is—a quick, efficient, and high-quality matcha stop. Perfect for grabbing your daily matcha and heading off to your next destination.

The matcha here was indeed magical ✨ Service was fast & friendly, I was recommended to try out their magick matcha drink and it was delicious!

Yelp
I came here with my girlfriend after a stroll down Congress on a hot day and the drinks were incredible. The store operates out of a little hole in the wall window next to the boot barn. There was a considerable line when we arrived, but we were in line for no more than 10 minutes. I ordered the lemonade match and my girlfriend got the pink matcha. Both matchas tasted excellent. I could tell they used high quality ceremonial grade matcha. The service was also excellent and prices very reasonable for matcha. I would return here on a trip back to Austin.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. I've been multiple times, tried multiple menu items, and have always enjoyed my experience. It's the definition of hole in the wall, just a little walk up window on SoCo. If you're shopping around and in need of a refreshment, this is the place. Drinks: I've had the ube matcha and the blue magick. The ube is my favorite but the blue magick is a very close second. They are on the sweeter side so if that's not your thing, I would suggest the lemonade or a more classic matcha drink which they also have. Parking: Paid street parking only.

Yelp
I've been in the morning to this location several times. I love the staff and the drinks are so good. I also really like the vibe of the spot, it feels really authentic. I would recommend going half sweet for the drinks, as that is my preferred sweetness level. My favorites are (in no particular order)... (1) Pink Dream (2) Blue Magic (which is like the Magic Matcha but then with Coconut Cream instead of the Coconut Milk which was soooo good) (3) Magic Matcha (4) Uba Matcha I don't really like the Hojicha Latte or their Maple Latte.

Yelp
Rating: 3.1/5 [take out] Iced 16 oz Pink Dream ($8): A blend of matcha, coconut water, oat milk, beet root powder, and strawberry syrup (no substitutions). It was enjoyable, but we preferred the Ube and Magick Matcha options--this one was less sweet, with more subtle flavors. Sweet Tea Howdy Can ($5): They gave us a cup with ice for us to pour our canned drink in which was nice. It was lightly carbonated with a very mild sweet tea flavor. Personally, I wouldn't order it again. While this visit wasn't my favorite, I'm still interested in coming back to try more of their specialty drinks.

Yelp
This was like a tiny little counter hole-in-the-wall. I hesitated because there was just one person behind the window making each drink and there was a line on this very cold day, but I really wanted a matcha latte and I didn't want to veer too far from this main stretch of stores. I got the Pink Dream. The matcha quality was good, and everything was mixed silky-smoooth. That's pretty much all I look for in an iced matcha latte. The beet flavor was strong, a little stronger than I had anticipated. But I guess, in retrospect, the matcha is also earthy, so I see the complement. The strawberry flavor is not quiet as strong. I think this place is worth trying if you partake in all of the extras you could add to the drinks here. For me, I don't, so I would not go out of my way to visit here.

Yelp
Hole in the wall with great matcha drinks! I am a tea lover and was really interested in the speciality drinks they have. The Magick Matcha includes blue magick, which has a lovely sweet flavor, and coconut water. After I drank most of the blue, I mixed the drink and was able to taste a lot of matcha. If you like the more authentic matcha, this is it. The matcha is from Japan and has the traditional bitter tea taste. Also tried the hojicha, which was wonderful too! The drinks have a strong tea flavor, especially at the end. You can choose the type of milk you want. Almond and oat cost more. Two sizes, get the 16oz for sure! It's $1 more. You may also add CBD or THC for a few extra bucks (I didn't in my drinks). It's kinda difficult to see where it's at if you're just looking from the street, but if you are walking around Allens Boots, you'll see the green sign. There was a line, but it took about 10 min to get our drinks-pretty quick! I would love to come back again the next time I'm passing by Soco!

Yelp
I really liked this matcha experience! It exceeded expectations. We got the magick matcha and the hojicha latte. The magick matcha had layers of flavor with the light coconut, syrup, and salt. The hojica was deep/comforting from the roasted matcha, though my bf noted that the ice was a bit more melted than the magick upon serving. Neither were too sweet. A nice surprise when making the South Congress stroll, making our day a little more special and delightful. Service was friendly.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
I love Matcha, especially strong and thick/creamy Matcha. This did not meet my expectations at all. It's pretty, but literally tastes like water. Not for me and incredibly overpriced.
google avatar

Taylor G.

Yelp
I love magick matcha! They have a few different flavors to try if you like to add flavor to your matcha, and it's conveniently located if your in the area shopping around!

Yahaira P.

Yelp
This matcha was so good, willing to try the others with the included ;) This was the ube matcha it's in a cute spot in south congress. Loved it.
google avatar

Uyen V.

Yelp
We loved the pink dream! Couldn't really taste the matcha in the magick matcha and it wasn't our favorite. Card only!
google avatar

Venice B.

Yelp
Love their ube matcha! It was pretty pricey ($20 total for 2 beverages) but love the location on south congress. As a Filipina, I appreciated their description of ube, a sweet purple yam native to the Philippines.
google avatar

Eddie K.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon and there were a bunch of people waiting to order. It took a while for them to make our drink, but I think it is worth the wait. We ordered the magick matcha and hojicha latte - I really enjoyed the hojicha latte because it is not very sweet. The magick matcha is a bit on the sweet side and I'm not the biggest fan of the coconut water at the bottom. Overall, I think it is worth a four star considering the fact that it is more expensive than most coffee shops in the area. Parking is very tricky on Congress during the weekend so I highly recommend you coming during the weekdays or do a rideshare.
google avatar

Stacie M.

Yelp
Cute little matcha shop/window on south congress. We were waiting on the block to get permanent jewelry made, and saw this line for the matcha. They offer some interesting flavors, ube or this blue that I forget what exactly it was. I went with the pink which is beet root. You can also add cbd or thc. After ordering it came out pretty fast, and tasted yummy!
google avatar

Tina N.

Yelp
The drinks sure look pretty but taste nothing like matcha. We got magick matcha and pink dream. All I tasted from my magick matcha was vanilla. My friend had the pink dream and she also didn't taste any matcha. The drinks are really really sweet.
google avatar

Regine M.

Yelp
Pretty drinks, okay matcha. Literally a hole in the wall, Magick Matcha offers very pretty drinks but I would not go out of my way to stop by.
google avatar

Katherine D.

Yelp
Tried the magick matcha and it was pretty good. You can really taste the coconut and vanilla flavor and it's a sweeter drink for sure but I feel like it's easy to miss the matcha. It's a nice drink when it's hot out and you're walking around for sure! It's a small order window between two other stores so I didn't notice it at first but I think it's a cool concept. And the person at the window was really nice and I got the drink pretty quick.
google avatar

Tina D.

Yelp
Was in town & saw this place on tiktok. It's a small little shop with no inside seating, quite easy to miss if you're not intentionally looking for it. Service was quick & efficient. The drinks however were below average in my opinion. My sister and I got the OG (matcha and coconut water) and the magick matcha. While they were pretty for pictures, the matcha flavor was pretty much nonexistent. We're used to having strong, ceremonial grade matcha and unfortunately, this was no where near it. And for $14 for two cups, I don't think I'll be coming back. I do love the concept & the aesthetic though. This place could benefit from higher quality matcha for sure.
google avatar

Amanda V.

Yelp
This is a literal hole in the wall. The people I was with went to get hats at Allen's next door so I came here. The girl got my drink ready quickly and it was good. I needed the caffeine hit and this did its job.
google avatar

Emily P.

Yelp
Went here with couple of my friends - we all enjoyed our matcha. I like that they have different flavored matchas than your typical flavors .
google avatar

Cameron N.

Yelp
It was pretty mediocre, overpriced matcha as you'd expect on South Congress. They're a little window shop with plenty of options though.
google avatar

Paige M.

Yelp
Fun place to grab a cool drink on South Congress. The drink was a little sweet for my taste but in the end fun and refreshing.
google avatar

Amy A.

Yelp
The matcha was pretty small for the price. They served it out quickly tho. I kept passing by it because I didn't like realize it was just a tiny pop up window to order but there's a sign. I do think I have had better matchas but it was not bad and their options looked decent
google avatar

Annie A.

Yelp
i've been so excited to check out this matcha window on south congress and was not disappointed! the matcha flavor options were super interesting and the one I got had strawberry, and was so delicious! that particular one they said was probably the sweetest on the menu so wouldn't recommend if you are looking for something more matcha-forward. only thing is the drinks take a while to come out since they are made to order, but imo was worth the wait.
google avatar

Fernanda J.

Yelp
I love this place so much! I've become a loyal regular. The employees are sooo kind and really care about the quality of the bev. Highly recommend!!

dao-diann b.

Yelp
Overall, it was very underwhelming and unsatisfying. It's cute and everything but if you actually like matcha this is not the place. I had an iced matcha latte which tasted like whole milk. Service took awhile which was fine, but to serve me a below mediocre drink is pretty displeasing. Tried my friend's pink dream which didn't taste like matcha at all. Seems like the syrups and cute brand aesthetics serve to hide how awful the matcha actually is. Nice employees though!
google avatar

Addison T.

Yelp
Kind of hidden but so good! Tucked beside Allan's I got the matcha latte with lavender syrup and it was to die for. Super refreshing and just what I needed. I would 100% come back!
google avatar

Kalib E.

Yelp
Love coming here when I can baristas are super friendly and willing to work w you to find your drink and the flavors/presentation are stellar! Super affordable for the high quality ingredients in their specialty drinks but add ons make customizing fun too :))
google avatar

Maggie H.

Yelp
Yummy! Was antiquing/thrifting with my mom from out of town and came upon this magical little window that handed me matcha. Loved what I ordered. Staff could have been friendlier but I had matcha in me so I didn't care.

Will C.

Yelp
I love this place! The service was amazing and my coffee was delicious. I'm definitely coming back!
google avatar

Candice N.

Yelp
We almost missed this tiny little window while strolling up and down South Congress. Got a nice lil pick me up that was delicious!
google avatar

Vee K.

Yelp
Careful! You might miss it!! I was so relieved to see a cold matcha spot on a hot day in August walking up and down congress. I was even MORE delighted when I read the menu and saw the whole and healthy ingredients! I got the Pink dream? I believe it's called. I should have took a pic, but I was too excited to drink it was so cute! Friendly and swift service, 10/10 will return!

Valerie G.

Yelp
Matcha was good, but i don't think id go back and pay another almost $10 for a drink to finish in 5 minutes .

Jacob W.

Yelp
Too much hype, the matcha mid tier. But I like the order by the window style. Parking is hard to find!
google avatar

Gillian H.

Yelp
Delicious! Small walk up window with quick service. Yummy matcha! Great place to stop by while I was in town
google avatar

Jimin K.

Yelp
We got both the magic matcha and the hojicha. Both were not too sweet, but there was nothing special about either. For the price, I would expect the matcha to atleast be freshly brewed, but by the speed of the service, I think they just poured a premade drink. The extra addons don't enhance the drink - instead they serve to hide the taste of the low quality matcha

Jessica B.

Yelp
Hands down the best matcha in Austin. Customer service is amazing and their matcha is perfect. I highly recommend the ube matcha or classic magick matcha. Worth the 40 minute drive everytime!!
google avatar

Steven L.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this Matcha spot since I spotted it on one of my dog walks! However, I never knew the hours and it was always closed when I popped by, so keep note of the hours if you want some Matcha. I tried the Magick Matcha when I finally got the opportunity to get here when it was open. It was really nice and refreshing, not overly sweet or not overly bitter. I think it's the perfect intro Matcha drink for those who are generally wary of the bitterness of teas. For me, I prefer more Matcha flavor, but I would still order this on a hot day since it is so refreshing with the coconut water in it. It's a bit pricy for sure, but Matcha is better for you and lasts longer than coffee, so if you need a caffeine pick-me-up, it might still be worth it for you. Either way, I'm glad there's a dedicated Matcha spot in Austin now!

A O.

Yelp
Hands down our favorite place to get our matcha lattes. Situated between Allen's and Maufrais is this tiny matcha shop serving up the best matchas in town. Swiftly made and always delivered with a friendly smile.
google avatar

Yuna K.

Yelp
Wow. This has got to be the worst matcha ive ever had and for 8$ too. Me and my friends got different drinks here which included the hojicha matcha and the matcha latte, and matcha latte w ube syrup. My drink (honicha matcha) had a sour aftertaste and tasted like .. well dirt. Hojicha is supposed to be flavorful and nutty, and this was just not it. There was no matcha flavor at all. The matcha latte was just milk. I feel like starbucks matcha would've been better at this point. As a whole food / drink truck dedicated to matcha and with all the other gleaming reviews here i've got to say i was severely disappointed.
google avatar

Alondra H.

Yelp
I love their matcha !! The best I've had in south Austin, need more spots like this in Austin! Very nice staff.
google avatar

Stephanie H.

Yelp
logistics: We came around 11:00 AM on Easter Sunday and I wasn't sure if they were open. We had to wait a while for someone to take our order and we were the only people there. Not sure if that's usual. They're located in the same food truck lot as Cuantos and Sammataro. Those trucks weren't open so parking was easy. drinks: I'm not sure what magick is since a description isn't on their menu and I didn't ask before ordering, but I love the blue color. I love a strawberry matcha so I ordered the pink dream and I like it. Matcha is easily overpowered so I don't know how the matcha tastes on its own. I will return to try their plain matcha latte.

Suzanne H.

Yelp
If you are here for matcha flavor drinks. Pass. I got a matcha latte and the only thing you can taste is the milk.
google avatar

Shradha A.

Yelp
This was a bit of a mismatch between expectations and reality. I was looking for a nice matcha latte (the name threw me off) but they serve pre-mixed matcha-based lemonades and sort of mocktails. Enjoyed it immensely as a sugary treat but not something I could return for regularly. It's also a pricey option. The drinks are pretty and photogenic though, especially the ones with Ube.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
What a cute matcha food truck! The location isn't ideal (I had to street park), but I'm really glad my friend and I decided to go. We both got specialty lattes, which were actually really good! I wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised. They do a good job of mixing in the matcha so you don't taste any of the powder. My only complaint is that it's a bit overpriced and the cups are really small, but overall, it's a solid matcha place.
google avatar

Carl C.

Yelp
Love this little matcha oasis on South Congress. The cute trailer is parked in an expansive astroturf alley with ample seating and shade. During these sweltering summers and especially after heavy or sweet brunches, grabbing an iced beverage from Magick Matcha helped immensely to recalibrate my mind, body and mood. The Lavender Lemonade is a magical elixir perfectly harmonious and revitalizing, combining matcha, coconut water, lemonade, lavender, and butterfly pea flower tea. It is served colorfully layered with the matcha mixture on top of the vibrant purple lavender lemonade tea. It is sweet but still tart, and blends well with the matcha. Excited to try all the other things on the menu like the Ube special.
google avatar

Marianne W.

Yelp
Best matcha in Austin!!!!! so happy this place finally opened!! highly recommend the strawberry matcha and make sure to say hi to Shatia and Bun they are the best ever!!!
google avatar

Anna Q.

Yelp
Super cute area to chill and get drinks. The trucks are so cute the designs in the area too. The grass may be wet so beware of your shoes! The seating area is cute too. Great photo op!

Carolina M.

Yelp
Delicious matcha! I am pretty picky about my matcha and it wasn't too grassy tasting which I appreciate. 10/10 would recommend
