13 Ingredients Chefs are Prioritizing in 2024

"Venison is a rich and delicious protein that is not as commonly used as ingredients such as wagyu or other more common red meats. Its flavor is greatly impacted by what it is fed. We are working with a farm in Hawaii that harvests free roaming axis deer. Because they feed off the volcanic soil, the meat is higher in nutrients, with a clean flavor that is not gamey. Venison is high in essential fatty and amino acids. It is a good source of lean protein and is packed with an immense amount of B vitamins."

Google
What a beautiful outdoor restaurant located within the Royal Hawaiian hotel, right in front of the beach. This was where the first Mai Tai was created, so I had to order one! The food and service overall were fantastic, and the setting is unbelievable. We couldn't recommend this establishment highly enough. We had a great experience. If you are in the area, go here!

Shruti Nair

Google
Great drinks, one each was enough to start us getting tipsy. Amazing truffle fries! And a beautiful view of the beach with a glimpse of Luau happening on the side. Perfect start to your Hawaiian holiday! 🌺

Google
Came here for drinks while on vacation in January. I ordered the Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai and it was delicious. The vibe of this place was really nice. I loved all the mood lighting. Our server was also very nice. Price is about what you’d expect at a bar along the beach.

Google
Every couple has a place that they consider "their place." I really think the Mai Tai Bar is that for my wife and I. The views there are breathtaking and the drinks amazing. During our stay in Hawaii we shared drinks and food there everyday while staying at the Royal Hawaiian. So many memories made and I have a pic of us there over my desk. We returned to the Mai Tai Bar as soon as we arrived back in Hawaii two years later. We stayed at another hotel but we made our way back to the Mai Tai Bar as soon as we got our bags into our room. The bartenders are top-notch and are not afraid to share their drink recipes. This is our Place!

Google
Outstanding through and through over multiple visits! Consistency at this caliber can be rare but Mai Tai Bar makes it look easy as every visit is always just as good, if not better than the last. All of the servers we experienced are lovely but you’re in very good hands if you are waited on by Dana!

Google
OMG, right on the beach. Our server was super friendly. The service was superfast. Mai Tais were so delicious, especially the Rye Tai. Food was super fresh. Lots of outdoor seating. Great vibe and so relaxing. Music was excellent too!

Google
The atmosphere is fantastic here! Right on the beach! The drinks? Awful! You would think they could make a Mai Tai, but they are adjust utter crap. The drinks are poorly balanced. Table service was terrible too! It wasn’t super busy on a Monday afternoon, but drinks would take 20-30 minutes to arrive at the table. I almost walked out without paying because I couldn’t get her to bring me my check (I did pay though, $22+ a drink). Do yourself a favor and go to one of the other beach bars where service is better. If you want a GOOD mai tai, go to Skull&Crown.

Robert Cardoni

Google
Busy at sunset but to be expected as the views are great. Seat yourself - staff will help you hawk a table. Great place to unwind after a long day. Fish sandwich was delicious

Yelp
Shout out to the bartender Kui. Great service and an amazing worker. Thank you for the wonderful experience. You must ask for Kui if you are there !

Yelp
My Wife liked the lamb special. I had the Mahi Mahi special, yuk... Small piece of fish in a tomato soup like sauce. Don't get it!

Yelp
We had a blast at Waikiki beach, punctuated by the generous booze and lively vibe at Mai Tai Bar. After a few hours of sunning and swimming at Waikiki beach (can't believe I can say that...we haven't taken a real vacation in 20 years), we wandered around the Pink Palace area looking for a beach bar with a beach vibe and the quintessential beach drink (with an umbrella). Mrs. Yelper and I never had such a thing. Didn't look promising until somehow we ran into Mai Tai Bar. Hard to find but perfect spot for us tourists! Your Yelper asked for "the most touristy drink" and was (unsurprisingly) rewarded with a Mai Tai. Likewise for Mrs. Yelper. Delicious. I've made them at home but let's just say the environment adds a lot to the enjoyment. Second drink for me was Blue Hawaii (vodka, rum, vodka, rum, vodka, rum, and a little blue curacao, pineapple, lemon juice). Oy. For Mrs. Yelper I got a Pina Colada because it's so beachy. I think we got appetizers but don't recall. The location, service, quality of drinks, and just knowing we were in the shadow of Diamond Head was all we needed. Perfect place to cap off a day in Waikiki Hawaii!!!

Yelp
So many good things to say about this place! We were able to get a table with no wait and next to the beach at 5 pm on a Friday. The vibes were perfect from the moment we sat down, but you cant expect less from the Royal Hawaiian. We came as our last meal on our honeymoon trip and planned to rack up a tab, we enjoyed everything. Started with the Royal Hawaiian mai tai and the 44 mai tai. Both amazing, ended up getting one more each. For an app we ordered the cheese platter, the brie and gouda were our favorites! Paired perfectly with the bread, fruit, and honey. For dinner we got the steak and the ragu, needless to say we were both very happy with our choice. Steak was juice and tender and the ragu sauce was rich with pieces of melt in your mouth short ribs. The highlight of our dinner was probably the conversation we had with the restaurant manager Robert. He was the sweetest and immediately asked us if we were celebrating anything. Once we told him we had recently gotten married he told us stories of his own marriage and gave us words of wisdom. He ended up offering us a complimentary dessert (lilikoi cheesecake, took me a minute to get into but then I couldn't stop eating it). Meeting him and the extra care he took to make our experience that bit more special meant so much to us. We left very full, a little tipsy, and content. We were in Hawaii for 2 weeks and I think this meal was the most memorable of our whole trip. Cant wait to visit again.

Yelp
Love the Mai Tai Bar! We had lunch in the afternoon. The keiki chicken fingers are enormous. I could have had both my keiki share. But so delicious. The beach is right behind the bar too so you can roll up for some food after a day at the beach as well. At night time we came back for some mai tais and they were SO good. The service is impeccable. So quick and friendly. It's also really beautiful to hear the waves crash at night from the bar.

Yelp
I had such a great time at this bar and restaurant at the Royal Hawaiian. When in Hawaii you must visit this spot. The server was attentive even for a busy night. The environment was vibrant with the beach as the background. It made for a great night. The food was fingerlicking good.

Yelp
Marriott 'til I die, but The Mai Tai Bar at the Royal Hawaiian keeps stealing my heart (and my happy hour) every time I'm in Honolulu! The ocean views? Iconic. The drinks? Next level. This time, I indulged in the White Wash--topped with not one, but TWO floats! Bacardi light rum, Ferrand Dry Curacao, orgeat, fresh lime & pineapple juices, a float of Whaler's dark rum, and their signature coco-loco foam. Pure liquid Aloha. only thing better than the view is the service. Cheers to paradise in a glass--can't wait to return!

Yelp
We came here for a drink and stayed for dinner. It's right by the water in the famous Royal Hawaiian hotel. It was a great setting and beautiful hotel. We sat at the bar without having to wait. The bartenders were extremely friendly and responsive. Although we planned to just have a drink, we didn't want to leave and got food too. The portions were solid and the food was tasty!

Yelp
Head to the Mai Tai Bar! A friend of mine recommended this place and it didn't disappoint. Where to begin. Let me start with the gorgeous view of the beach. You can enjoy your food and drinks while you take in the beauty of the beach. Everything about the Mai Tai Bar deserves 5 stars. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Service is on point! We waited in line for 10 minutes maybe less. It's a popular place. You can forgo the line if you want to sit at the bar. The Mai Tai's are refreshing and pack a little punch. It's a great cocktail! They have a nice variety of food and drinks here. We only had a couple of drinks here because we had just ate. You can walk out to the beach from there. We went out and took some selfies while the sun began to set. This is handsdown my favorite place for drinks and will be going back to try more drinks and have some food.

Yelp
Yes, $21 for a MaiTai is spendy bit the price Includes great service, superb view, and Friendly, no-rush stay. Enjoy.

Yelp
Sitting at the bar having a Mai Tai here is such a quintessential Honolulu experience, everyone needs to do it at least once during their trip. We had the Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai, the Vic's 44 and the White Wash, all three were delicious. The bartenders are fabulous, fun and efficient. The food was ok, nothing super exciting. Too much mayo on the lobster rolls, I prefer mine with garlic butter and lemon, the mayo herb mix over powered the lobster. The grilled mahi mahi sandwich was fine but nothing special. Next time we'll just stick with Mai Tais and the view.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots on the entire Waikiki strip! Nothing is a more quintessential touristy experience than sipping on a delicious drink while enjoying the sights and sounds of the wonderful Waikiki Beach and Diamondhead right in front of you. It's located inside the iconic pink Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It's open seating so if you see a table, feel free to seat yourself and someone from their waitstaff will tend to you. Service was pretty attentive but I can see things taking a bit longer during busy hours and you may have to flag someone down. Food and drinks came out pretty quickly though so no complaints there. We ordered the Lava Flow, Pina Colada and some truffle fries to munch on. Note: the drinks were not actually on their most current menu but they're able to make it for you if you ask. Both of our drinks were really good and refreshing, perfect for enjoying a beautiful day at the beach. The truffle fries came perfectly fried and crispy with a generous, heaping portion. While a bit on the pricier side for an appetizer, the portion sizes definitely make up for it. Hands down, Mai Tai Bar is always a must-stop for me each time I'm in Waikiki and is a perfect spot to visit at any time of the day.

Yelp
Needed a relaxing spot for the afternoon and was told we had to go see the Royal Hawaiian and they coincidently have a beach front bar with good drinks! I'm in!! Didn't know where to park so asked the valet and after he answered our question he added with a smile "that's kind of a long walk or you can valet, it's free". Score! Our initial interaction and when we returned to pick up the car the valet was nothing short of amazing, cheerful, and helpful! Made our way to the bar and found a delightful table along the beach with a beautiful view of scenery and people! Great spot. Phenomenal server; Dana couldn't have been better! Helpful, informative, and very personable, she was a joy to work with!! We had several drinks, but started with a taste test for the three of us as follows (see pics for more): - Vic's 44 - $19 - 2 rums, curaçao, orgeat, fresh like juice. Good and their basic Mai Tai - Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai - $21 - Fresh pineapple/orange juice, orange curaçao, orgeat, local rums from Old Lahaina distillery on Maui - our collective favorite! - Ali'i Mai Tai - $ 40 - hawaiian agricole rum, 15 year rum from guyana, dry curacao, freshly muddled pineapple, orgeat, fresh lime juice, topped with our signature coco-loco foam - the coco-loco foam was to die for. Overall it wasn't worth the extra $$ for me. - White Wash - $ 20 - Lahaina silver rum, dry curacao, orgeat, fresh lime/pineapple juice, topped with a float of old lahaina dark rum and our signature coco-loco foam (foam to die for) For appetizers we had the Arancini ($16) with truffle risotto, mushroom, panko breaded, truffle aioli, chili thread, pecorino. We also had the Indochine Wings ($29) with twice cooked chicken wing, vietnamese honey reduction, thai basil, cilantro, chili . . . Sweet, spicy (not hot) and not over sauced! Both were very good! Overall a delightful afternoon filled with delightful staff, tasty drinks, and delicious food! Perfect afternoon!!

Yelp
We were looking for a good bar and ended up here, didn't realize it would be in the beautiful Royal Hawaiian Hotel! The Pink Palace where even the Christmas tree was pink! Had a great relaxing time at the bar, even caught a glimpse of the dancers at the luau on the other side of the bar. Had to try the Pink Snowball for fun because it's their signature dessert.
google avatar

Jerra P.

Yelp
Service is fantastic, the drinks are AMAZING and the fries with the truffle aioli were delish. It was so conveniently located just by our rented beach chairs A-17. We also ordered while lounging at the pool in the Royal Hawaiian. The blended coconut mint mojito was absolutely incredible! It was by far my favorite drink.
google avatar

Dilys S.

Yelp
Do you like Pink? This place is all Pink on the waikiki with a view of Diamond Head and the performance at Royal Hawaiian (limited days). All the drinks come with the RHH umbrella - a good keepsake. Staff is friendly, though I have noticed some issues -some Japanese tourists getting mad thinking they are mistreated - I think it was a miscommunication issue and the people were not exactly friendly to staff. But I feel for both sides. Good Margaritas slushes, the yam chips tuna tartare is quite good! The fries are decent, thick cut. The ambience is great though $$$$. Come here on a beautiful day it's worth it.

Yelp
Great vibes for drinks and bites by the beach! We went after dinner and loved sitting by the beach. Lots of drink options - popular for their mai tais with fruity notes!

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday sunset drink time. It was pretty busy and we got seated around after waiting five minutes and after we put our drinks in, we went to go watch the sunset. When we came back, we found out that our server had assumed that we had left and canceled our order so we had to wait another 30 minutes to get another table as well as put our drinks in again which was severely disappointing. Our first server was really rude, but our new server was nice and polite so I think it's based on luck. Overall, the ambience was really nice with good music and good vibes but just be prepared for long waiting times for service. However, I will say the drinks here were very good and I would definitely recommend coming here if you're in Waikiki!
google avatar

Betsy S.

Yelp
This is a fun round bar area just outside the Royal Hawaiian hotel. I met some fun guests and had excellent service once I was able to order. The drinks were delicious. There was some inappropriate behavior from a woman and she should have been removed from the bar. Otherwise it was a good experience. The mahi sandwich got soggy so I recommend the sauce be offered on the side.

Yelp
Beachfront bar lounge serves great views, drinks and tasty treats. Our party of 4 arrived around 6pm, no reservation, to find a short wait for a table. Originally planned to dine at Dukes next door, but couldn't get a reservation, and found the wait time for walk-ins and noisy atmosphere not a great fit for us. Upon being seated, our waiter did a great job walking us through the specialty drinks and bar menu. We chose a mix of house specials and old favourites. The Hamakua Mushroom Arancini was amazing, as was the Pier 38 Mahi Sandwich. To start we also shared the Crispy Chicken Tenders and Truffle Fries. The truffle fries were outstanding. Compared to Moana Surfrider this beach bar lounge is far superior. Prices were reasonable and service was great.

Yelp
4 stars for the environment, facing the sea, very relax. The Lilikoi & Mango Mule is too sour for me. The Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai is good.
google avatar

Edeline Y.

Yelp
Very romantic and pretty! Fun place to vibe with live music at night. The drinks were pretty good and pretty as well. The staff were super nice and made our first experience memorable. Would definitely recommend for a romantic night out for drinks!
google avatar

Yelp
Omg, this place knows how to make a drink to get you drunk. I came here from a recommendation from a friend and really enjoyed hanging here. Located right on the beach and with great service from the bartenders. I got the Mai Tai and 96 Degrees in the Shade since it was a frozen drink. Both drinks are super strong and worth the price. Highly recommend stopping here for a drink while you're in Waikiki!
google avatar

Brandon J.

Yelp
Mai Tai bar was the first restaurant we ate at on our honeymoon stay at the Royal Hawaiian. We received a $100 voucher to use one day during our stay so we chose to use it here. We were pretty hungry after sleeping in all morning so we wanted a filling meal. The chicken wings we ordered for our appetizer were amazing! That was followed by the short rib pasta and side of fries. We weren't able to finish the fries because we stuffed after the wings and pasta but we took the fries to go. The bar is located on the beachfront which made a nice ambiance. Lastly, the service was pleasant as well. Our waitress was very kind and friendly. She made us feel very welcome as visitors to Waikiki, Hawaii
google avatar

Maria B.

Yelp
Our server was awesome & very attentive. We over ordered heavy pupus & he was very kind as to telling us that it would be too much for our table and what to start out with. In the end he was right. If we had ordered what we had originally planned, we would've been stuck either way not only tons of food but a huge bill. The ambiance was very quaint and lovely but we were sat by a corner close to the pool and there was a very unpleasant fishy odor that would waft our way with the breeze. Our overall experience minus the odor was very enjoyable. The food was so delicious! We ordered the poke dip, the steak, truffle fries, the chicken wings and the lobster roll.
google avatar

Jewelia C.

Yelp
Cute bar and liked that you could access it right off the beach. It was fairly easy for us to get a table for 2. Obviously had to get mai tais here. Not sure if they were bad mai tais or my friend and I just don't like mai tais (we both have never had one before) but it wasn't our favorite! The drinks were still cute though and we had a good time. Good place to check off the list but probably wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Karen A.

Yelp
Mai Tai Bar is literally on the beach. Our table was one foot from the sand and you saw the large expanse of ocean in front of view. It was an absolutely beautiful view. The food in the other hand was average. Their menu is pretty limited but so there wasn't too much to choose from. We had the following: Spicy shrimp appetizer * Kids chicken strips *** Mahi burger **** Smash burger *** We had an awesome server but in my opinion, you're paying for the view.
google avatar

Mindy K.

Yelp
Hands down the best execution of a Mai Tai on any of the islands. It's boozy, so one will do! And the view from the bar.... Service is friendly and entertaining. Cheers!
google avatar

Yelp
Great walk up beach bar. Great vibes and excellent service. Food was on point! Will totally be coming back here. The location was so great to walk to after shopping.

Yelp
Omg you got to check out this spot at the Royal Hawaiian hotel. Sit wherever you want; wanted to sit at the bar but it was packed. lol guess everyone got the memo. The views are nice; you can see diamond head and also the beautiful ocean and beach . We order two mai tais ; one called white wash and the most popular one the Royal Hawaiian. These drinks are both kind of strong and tasty. Great beverage to sip on when enjoying a tropical vacation in the heat. We decided to split the lobster roll; mmmmhmmm .... The roll itself was buttery and toasted ; and the lobster filling had nice chunks of fresh meat with their special lobster roll filling. We went with the homemade chips; which were both crunchy like a kettle chip and a nice little balance with this sandwich. Our waitress was very informative and helpful in helping us decide which drink we should each try; didn't disappoint.

Yelp
Came by after a dip in the ocean. This place is located at the Royal Hawaiian. Bar which is beachside was busy but we were able to find seats. Kui was our bartender and he was excellent. He was friendly and helpful and made paying the cost of the drinks worth it. I ordered their Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai ($21) and later a Woodford Reserve neat as they didn't have Bulleit. I should have stuck with the Mai Tai. Weather and atmosphere was more suited for the Mai Tai which was very good.
google avatar

Sadie N.

Yelp
Service to sit at a table was quick but with all the individuals running around, you kinda had to wait to be asked if you needed help. Music in the evening was a nice additive to the outdoor ambiance. Tried their classic Mai tai that does the job, but did not feel like it was worth the $20. Truly just alike to some of the $5 Mai tai spots, just topped with a pineapple chunk and flower. Mushroom on the burger is the same size as a patty, as opposed to smaller mushroom pieces. Meat patty itself was small and thin, overall making the burger kinda funky to eat. Occasionally a bite would be too hard to come apart because the mushroom was tough or slimier in areas. Fries came with and were pretty good though! Indoor restrooms were closed at the time of my visit so I was long windedly directed through an alternative restaurant to outdoor restrooms attached to the pool (?) area. Will note that this was a baby cockroach palace, so beware if you're not looking to do your business around crawlers...

Yelp
One of the best places to grab a mai tai on the beach. Beautiful surroundings at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Staff is incredible. Jamie V went above and beyond. Their signature Mai Tai is a must. Time it right and you'll get the gorgeous sunset while listening to the luau next door.

Yelp
We are in Honolulu for a couple days to celebrate Shelly's birthday and our anniversary. It just so happens that we were staying at the Royal Hawaiian which houses the famous Mai Tai Bar. We received a gift certificate for a free drink, so ordered a couple Mai Tai's with a Smash-burger and fries. As this was a special occasion, I asked Mark (our waiter) to deliver a couple envelopes to Shelly. Bottom line, fantastic service and the ambience was truly divine.

Yelp
Dana was awesome and we had a great lunch burger and fries and drinks! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
On The Strand Of The Hotels In Waikiki The Mai Tai Bar. History at its best the bar on the beck of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Fabulous Place!! First of all its all in pink lighting and accents which I LOVE!! The Mai Tai was fabulous we stopped in for a dink here on one of our nightly strolls and the Mai Tai Bar does not dissapoint. Amazing views of the beach perfect for a bite or a drink and just enjoy the beautiful hawaiian skies & listening to the ocean. Mahalo Mai Tai Bar!

Yelp
After hanging out at Waikiki beach for a while, we decided to pop by Mai Tai Bar for a nice ocean-front drink. We've been to Mai Tai Bar several times during previous trips to Hawaii, and their drinks are always great. This time around, we got their classic Royal Hawaiian mai tai and a kiwi cooler. Both drinks were great, but we couldn't help but notice prices have increased substantially over the years. For example, their classic Royal Hawaiian mai tai is $21, which is really pricey in my book. Service was a bit of a miss. When you arrive at Mai Tai Bar, there's a sign that tells you to grab any open table and seat yourself. We did that and waited for a while for anyone to greet us, bring us menus, etc. After that, we again waited quite a bit for someone to stop by to take our order. Drinks came relatively promptly, but that was pretty much the end of service for us. When we wanted to get our check, we had to flag someone down. After waiting 10+ minutes, we started to look around and saw the person we had flagged for our check standing behind the bar laughing and chatting with a fellow employee. We put our card down immediately once she brought the check to avoid another delay, and it again took a while for someone to bring our card/receipt back. Overall, location is great, service is a miss, and drinks are expensive but quite strong.

Nicole C.

Yelp
Beautiful setting and the music is amazing! Johnny the Third and Christian both play regularly (Fridays and Sundays respectively) and they truly add to the experience! Though the food is a little pricey, the setting makes up for it. The Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai is one of the best on the island! Mark the server and Susan the bartender were especially good!
google avatar

Chris Y.

Yelp
Found this bar while walking along the beach and decided to pop in to check it out. What a great experience! It's a classic beach/pool bar that doesn't have TVs everywhere!! We were able to concentrate on the vibe and views. All of the bartenders were great. The Mai Tais were to die for -- expecially the "Ali'i Mai Tai". I know it's a bit expensive, but it was so worth it. One of the best I've had in quite a long time time. I also tried the other Mai Tais (heh) and they were very good, too! Highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Ordered the Mai Tai and truffle fries. Loved it! Server was apologetic since it took a bit longer to place our order but didn't mind at all. Great view of the beach.

Yelp
Lively spot to grab a filling lunch or dinner right next to the beach at the Royal Hawaiian. After checking into the Royal Hawaiian, my family and I were starving after our five-hour flight. Given our hunger factor, we wanted to eat somewhere close by, which is what led us to choose the Mai Tai Bar. There's a lot of patio seating, which is heavenly when there's a breeze blowing through. There was some live entertainment when we were there, a guitarist/singer and a hula dancer. They kindly gave a shoutout to my brother and I for graduating high school, and their performances added to the relaxing ambiance. I ordered a Lava Flow mocktail, the Royal Smashed Burger, and an order of Indochine wings to split. The mocktail was fruity and sweet, tasted like a strawberry smoothie. The Indochine wings had a thick and crispy coating (probably panko bread crumbs), and came with a sweet glaze. My favorite had to be the Royal Smashed Burger. It was hearty, the patty was juicy, and the pickles were crisp and refreshing. The side of fries were crunchy and airy. After all this food, it's safe to say my hunger was quelled, at least for a while. Only caveat is that this place is expensive--my burger was nearly $30--but that's resorting pricing for you. That aside, it's a great place for a relaxing meal with a view of the beach.

Yelp
Such a great place to host larger perties if needed! Best items on the food menu: - Truffle fries - Chicken tenders (enough to share) - Spicy garlic shrimp - Cheesecake - Chocolate molten cake (personal favorite) Best drinks: - Classic Mai Tai - All beers on the menu - Lemon drop shots Thank you to the quick and attentive wait staff! Superb service from start to finish! Great view, service was swift, and everything on the menu was delicious! Looking forward to our next dinner here! No need reservations by the way, just valet & show up.

Yelp
If you are looking to have a nice cocktail looking at the beach this is definitely the spot for you. The vibe of this place is really good and the live music which was being played complemented it. I ordered the 96 degrees in the shade and My husband got the Royal Hawaiian Mai tai and both of us enjoyed our drinks, they were strong and flavourful. We didn't order any food but I could see food on the other tables, the truffle fries and the cheese board looked amazing. Honestly we had a great time here sipping on our drinks and enjoying the beautiful ocean view and breeze from our table. Would recommend this place for a romantic date night!

Yelp
Came down from the Royal Hawaiian to order food from the Mai Tai Bar. I got there at about 9:15pm, there was a sign that said seat yourself at any available table. I walked straight to the bar top where I was immediately greeted and helped. The bartender took my order And gave me a glass of water while I waited for my take out. There were 3 bartenders and I was just impressed with how well they worked together. Food came out within 15min as well. So overall a great experience.

Yelp
Mai Tai bar wow what a view, you walk in through the halls of the hotel and then you find this Mai Tai bar down where the beach is, the view is mesmerizing, you hear the waves hitting, the breeze and the sound of the trees swaying, there's this peacefulness when you sit down and you take in the incredible scenery it captivates me. My sister and her kids and my daughter and I stayed at the Royal Hawaiian, so when we arrived we were all starving and her kids and my daughter and everyone was hangry lol! I walked down with the kids to get us a seat, as you can imagine it was super busy but the line actually went pretty quickly. We sat down and the ambiance and the pink lights everywhere and just the atmosphere with the reggae music and hearing my favorite Jboog song Let me love you, just was such a Hawaiian vibe and made me feel at peace even though there was quite a lot of stress to deal with. The last time I visited my home in Honolulu we stayed at the Royal Hawaiian. But I don't remember this restaurant. I ordered the lobster roll which was fantabulous if I must say so myself lol, so buttery and the bread they put it on was delicious. I had to order a Mai Tai of course, it was delicious yes lol! My sister ordered the Mahi Mahi, we also had the parmesan fries those were delicious, the kids had the tenders with fries. Those were good, the batter on the tenders were so crispy and the chicken was juicy, the fries were a bit salty but crispy I liked them a lot and they are pretty generous with the portions. My lobster roll which was amazing, came with these healthy chips I think you can but at sprouts but I really enjoyed them a lot! The service was great once they got to us since it was so busy. The girl that helped us gosh I forgot her name but she was a wonder server, remembered our order and got our food and drinks quickly it was a pleasant experience. We actually came here a few times for the tenders and fries, I also really enjoyed their drinks I didn't drink a lot of alcohol though which is fine cause I don't drink a lot, but their Mai Tai was pretty strong and delicious. I would recommend coming here it's beautiful the view and the food is delicious and the service is awesome they have live music sometimes too! I love the color pink it was so beautiful the little pink lamps they put on the tables it just looks so tropical. I give it 5 stars for delicious food, amazing service, incredible view and for the beautiful ambience! Have a beautiful day :) Aloha

Yelp
We originally ordered braised short rib pasta only to find 3 tiny shreds of actual short rib in it. We returned the dish and ordered the lobster roll, which was eaten in 4 small bites. I understand that its beachfront property and that allows them to have high prices on their food- but it still should be good food and it wasn't. We left hungry because we didn't want to spend any more money on sub par food with tiny portions. We won't be going there again

Yelp
They have the most incredible mai tai! Hands down, no one can beat it. We have came here several times over the years and this is our favorite spot! We come every day on our trips at this point. We had the steak for lunch today and it was incredible! Many of the staff members have worked here for years. The views are unbeatable. It's an absolute dream. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We will be back soon.
