First time coming here and the service is amazing. The staff here are so nice and they also have an ongoing promotion where you get spring rolls if you spend more than $30, they were very nice to switch the appetizer to the Shrimp Summer Rolls! We ordered the regular beef noodle soup and it tasted amazing! It didn’t taste like it had too much MSG in it which is perfect. For appetizers we got popcorn chicken and beef satay, and we got the shrimp summer rolls for free as part of the promotion. The popcorn chicken tasted very crispy and the beef in the beef satay was very soft and tender. The summer rolls tasted very fresh and the sauces paired with each appetizer tasted amazing and authentic. I definitely recommend coming here for comfort food and a warm bowl of pho.

We found this place recently and we love it. Finally a good Vietnamese place in south Brooklyn! The staff is very sweet and the food is delicious. The beef curry soup/stew is probably the best we’ve had and we have tried many Vietnamese places both in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The broth feels like it can cure anything. I highly recommend it!

Google
Soup was bland. There were about 3 small pieces of beef. I couldn't finish the noodles since the noodles were way more than the meat. The dipping sauce for the fried shrimp rolls was bland. It tasted like they added a lot of water with the fish sauce. Service could be better.

Just tried this neighborhood spot for the first time. Lovely, cozy atmosphere, amazing service, clean, impeccable food. We had the beef Pho which was really flavorful. The shrimp summer rolls were fresh and juicy. The beef sate was very well seasoned. We loved all of their additional sauces. Will definitely be coming here again. Welcome to Bay Ridge.

Google
The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They prepare Vietnamese cuisine. I ordered the chicken satay appetizer. It comes with 4 separate strips of chicken on skewers. The chicken is marinated in ground cumin, galanga and soy sauce. It is served with peanut sauce. The seafood noodle soup was a large portion. The broth is in a separate quart container. The soup bowl includes a generous portion of noodles, shrimp, squid, fish balls and vegetables. The restaurant has a nice variety of other noodle soups, banh mi which are sandwiches, appetizers, grilled platters with rice vermicelli, salads, beverages and desserts. Friendly and helpful staff.

Google
i am so thankful this place opened in bay ridge! the pho is delicious and very affordable. the appetizers are also delicious, the spring rolls and chicken wings are my go to. i also tried their grilled beef banh mi and it was so much food for the price point.

Google
This place is a gem! 10/10 experience. My boyfriend and I both ordered banh mi, and spring rolls. It was so good. We are definitely going back to try more of the other plates that they offer. Everything on menu looked so great.

Yelp
Mais Vietnamese Restaurant is a gem. The space is cute, modern, and incredibly clean. It feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. I had the vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken and it was fresh, flavorful, and tasted truly authentic. The herbs were crisp, the noodles were light, and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and grilled. I also ordered a bowl of bone broth pho and it was clean, comforting, and rich with depth. Nothing heavy, just pure, nourishing flavor. The real surprise was the salty plum with seltzer. It was my first time trying it and it hit all the right notes -- sweet, salty, and full of umami. Super refreshing and unique. This spot is a go-to if you want quality Vietnamese food in a calm and thoughtfully kept space.

Yelp
such a cute place but did not liked their pork chop, wasnt grilled enough and lacked that viet pork chop seasonningggg. Summer roll grilled beef didnt taste grilled, had a jerky mala taste, umm, the peanut dipping sauce was creamy but a lil tangy(i was a fan but not my girl), fishsauce dip was not loved by us, tasted like sweet thai chili sauce, spring roll skin was not very crispy i liked the filling tho, my girl did not. Pho broth was tasty reminded me of phobk in 8th avenue, meat portions such as my beef balls $3 which i added as an extra, was on the small side in halves, but the soup bowl itself was huge. Papaya salad portion was generous as well, but was a miss, the server/maybe manager was apologetic and asked us for feedback for the large amount of it left behind. There wasnt a spiciness to it but it's been toned down for the neighborhood general palate, but i didnt want the long bean cut in half and i wished it was crispy. Viet iced coffee was good but just a tad bit watery, prob on us tho, we didnt immediately poured into the ice cup(sorry no pic). We were definitely bummed the experience did not hit that pho spot in us like we hoped it would.

Yelp
Love this spot! So happy that they opened a Vietnamese restaurant so close to me. The spring rolls are amazing, calamari so crispy and the food so tasty! Love everything I've ordered here so far. I will be back. Service is also great. The owners are so kind and accommodating.

Yelp
As the weather gets colder I tend to gravitate to warm, comforting foods. Pho is usually high on that list, but until recently it was hard to find in Bay Ridge. Thankfully we now have Mai's. Inside is brightly lit, and the staff are all warm and inviting. They are quick with menus, quick with the food, and it seems almost like they remembered my wife and me from our first visit. Pluses all around :) So far we've only ever had the pho (both beef and chicken), and they were exactly what we both wanted. I will agree that the broth isn't as nuanced as some of the best pho I've ever had, but this is certainly a delicious bowl of noodles that satisfies all of the comfort cravings I have.

Yelp
Mai's has been a great and much needed edition to Bay Ridge. The restaurant is clean and spacious and the service is fairly quick. I've dined here on several occasions since their opening and tried a variety of dishes. The food feels like homestyle cooking with a clear pho broth that is light and fragrant and they provide you with a full plate of aromatics (cilantro, thai basil, jalapeno, bean sprouts, lime). The fried appetizers (spring rolls and shrimp rolls) are nice and crispy and served with fresh lettuce and pickled carrots and daikon. The chicken satay wasn't your traditional satay but tasty nonetheless and the portion was generous with big chunks of chicken on 4 skewers. Tip - they have a grand opening promo where you get a free order of spring rolls when you spend $30 or more.

Yelp
One of my favorite foods when it gets colder is pho, so I'm very glad that this spot opened this fall. I've been getting the grilled chicken pho, which comes with a generous portion of chicken alongside a big bowl of noodle soup and the usual accompaniments of bean sprouts and herbs. Everything has been very fresh, and the service has been quick and helpful. Very glad to find a new pho spot before the winter!

Yelp
My friend and I came on a rainy weekday and it was quiet. We were seated immediately and the service was quick. I tried the beef noodle soup and it was okay, but the soup was slightly on the salty side. There was a lot of noodles which helped fill me up but there weren't that many slices of beef. There's several tables inside and is clean.

Yelp
Enjoyed a large delicious bowl of pho today. The broth was tasty, complex yet not muddy. With delicious bits of tender beef and tendons. Honestly a really good value. Simple clean decor and attentive service. Really hit the spot after a long chilly day.

Yelp
The experience hit the perfect balance of elements. Their staff was responsive, helpful and approachable. Their offerings avoid unnecessary frills. This spot feels just right. Without question, I'll return to this spot.

Yelp
1st time ordering (delivery through Yelp). I order spring rolls, skewers, Bah Mi Sandwich and Soup. Everything was delicious and there were plenty of meat and veggies in each dish. I can't wait to try other dishes. The additional fees were something new but I really wanted to try their food.

Yelp
Everything is good, food, service, prices and facilities. Also the portion is big. Very satisfying. I'll come back again.

Yelp
The restaurant is well lit and looked and felt clean though the music was little loud. The service was quick and the wait staff was patient and checked on us sparingly. The only issues I had was with the pho broth and the saltiness of the foods. The broth in a beef pho is supposed to be savory, aromatic, and slightly sweet but the broth in the soup tonight wasn't that, it was overly salty and lacked flavor. The popcorn chicken is also really salty. The spring roll was good but also a little too salty. The summer roll could have been better. The experience wasn't bad but chef needs to ease up on the salt

Yelp
My new favorite go to viet place! Affordable prices, amazing service, clean environment and delicious food. I'm so glad this place opened up near me.

Yelp
what the small portion of 1. Large Beef Pho (Noodle Soup) soup like sea water, salty.

Phil K.

Yelp
My wife and I were in the area and decided to give this place a try. It's a store front restaurant nicely decorated and spotless. Our waitress was very helpful and got our order right. We started off with shrimp summer rolls and an order of spring rolls which came with lettuce for dunking both were great! I had the Chicken Noodle soup and a side of grilled chicken. The soup was possibly the best I've had. My wife ordered the Cold Vietnamese Salad bowl with shredded pork and spring roll. This is my wife's go to dish and she said it was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. If your ever in the area give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Been waiting for a Vietnamese place closer to home on 3rd and they didn't disappoint. The place is nice and clean. The menu clear and not overwhelming. The food I had was not overly salty and the pho broth was clean and light. I got the regular size pho with added beef balls. Egg rolls were delish and fried crispy and not overly fried. Filling wasn't salty. Nuoc Cham dipping sauce for the egg rolls was a bit light on the fish sauce and sweetness but that's my personal preference. I'm very happy they're in the neighborhood and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I love Pho and haven't had any since I was in San Francisco! This place is incredible even just the smell is intoxicating! The clear broth is unreal and both the seafood and beef Pho are a hit. The service is warm and inviting and we were well looked after, I felt like I was at someone's home. If you love Pho then COME HERE IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT! I Mai's

Yelp
The flavor is quite good! Clean and tidy! Loved the Vietnamese meal! Beef rice noodles and shrimp rolls are my favorites. The service was also very attentive.

Yelp
I really recommend the beef pho honestly the best pho I've had in New York yet so far, for the price the food and drinks here are super worth
