Maison De Lu

We just happened to walk by as this place opened at 11:00 a.m. so we thought we'd try their French cuisine. This turned out to be the right choice their shrimp bisque absolutely terrific with lots of shrimp. We tried the Blackberry margarita which was very good as well as a number of their other dishes. My only suggestion for improvement would be I thought the coffee was a little weak for a french-based restaurant. But all the rest was very good the food the service and the atmosphere

Fabulous to eat outside! 3 different locations to eat outside! Billy was a fantastic waiter! The food came out quickly and was amazing! Inside was loud but outside was so romantic!

If you looking for you and Bae a spot ,this is the place .I love restaurants that has reservations thats#1 ..I went for my 51st Birthday Couple's Night Outing.. Our server was Authur he was very attentive even with it being a business Saturday.Radio was playing AlGreen radio so the mood was 100..Nice Vibes all night ..Food : Lamb Chops were delicious and tender,Tbone was to big ,omy crab claws was delicious, the chips with goat cheese was tasty as well .No complains you want be disappointed..

The food was well prepared, and the service was good. We were disappointed after an exhausting day of travel to discover when we ordered that they had run out of fish and shrimp. [Edit--they did have salmon, which my daughters enjoyed on a salad.] The setting looked and felt good, but it was hard to converse due to very high noise level--particularly from the bar. Enjoyed the desserts.

Relaxed restaurant setting with delicious casual lunch dining. Started with the Goat Cheese Torte, ordered grilled chicken sandwiches with onion, and finished with the Frozen Lemon Icebox. Everything was flavorful and unique. Our server was timely and friendly. Highly recommended for a lunch in Ocean Springs.

Food and service was absolutely wonderful. We had the snapper and pork chop with the twice baked cauliflower. Atmosphere is great, but the restaurant is fairly loud if you’re in a party of 2 looking for a nice dinner. I didn’t know you could request a table away from the bar area when making a reservation so that would be the plan next time. We look forward to returning in the future!

Extremely relaxing great menu and wonderful staff . My husband and I go there at least once a week. Being seated at the high tops is the best. Their martini's are always delicious

My boyfriend and I went here for his birthday dinner last night. The dining room and bar area are so very cute. It's a small restaurant but a very intimate setting. Our server was fabulous- very friendly and welcoming. She also helped us pick out our meal. We started with crab cakes that were so fresh. I had the blackened shrimp which was amazing! My boyfriend did the New Orleans shrimp with crusty bread for dipping. All of our food was so well done. Plus the wine list is very good. We will be back for sure!

Beautiful establishment in the quaint building. Fabulous staff, great drinks & amazing food!! Our waitress Tara treated us like royalty.

I can't say enough good about this place! It's one of my favorites in downtown Ocean Springs!! It has a really cool vibe inside and out! The bar is a great place to hang out or grab a bite to eat. The courtyard is beautiful! Outside dining with the lights, fireplace, and the greenery is magical! Let's talk about the food! It's rare you get the trifecta! Good food, great atmosphere and top notch service!! This is it! Ryan and his staff are amazing! They are attentive but do not hover over you. Back to the food! We ordered spinach dip and salmon for an appetizer. Both came out quickly and were really good! We each ordered a different entree. Hanger steak, filet, veal piccata and crab cakes!! Ah-Maze-Ing!! Make a reservation because they are busy. They are busy because it's top notch food at a reasonable price. Whether it's date night or a family outing it's the perfect place to relax, unwind and have good food! Cheers!

I LOVE this restaurant! I don't even know where to start to describe my dinner! I ordered the lamb chops which were perfectly cooked and seasoned and the White Chocolate Bread Pudding is out of this world! Eating here is a euphoric experience!

Dear Reader, First let me say, what I write is my opinion based on my taste. If it offends you, that's about you not me. Okay enough said.... I like this place not bad. They are trying to bring us a awesome cuisine of taste. Yes at least to try I love it. Is it the best no.... Is it good yes. The service is good not bad prompt and efficient. The atmosphere is alright. An eclectic group of people, respectful and not loud. Do I recommend it. absolutely. I know my review is a little vague but go and tell us what you think. I'm curious. Like I said I like it.

We had a fantastic dinner experience. The food was amazing and the service was superior!! Dessert was my favorite!

The food ,service and location are great. I ordered the lamb, cauliflower rice. It was a great time and great company.

The atmosphere is very comfortable. Casual dining. I came here for lunch. The food was superb. The menu switch is very often. The waiter and service was very excellent. I cannot complain. It's located in downtown Ocean Springs I've Government Street. Finding a parking spot is a little hectic but it's a bigger parking lot behind the restaurant. They were able to accommodate a party of seven with no problem. Overall , give me a five star. The appetizers were amazing. The crabcakes were wonderful. The tuna was on point and melting your mouth. I really enjoyed this.

We were wanting to try something new and left glad we did. I had the salmon and my husband had the pork chop. Both meals were amazing. We actually started with the goat cheese torte. It gets rave reviews for a reason, it's delicious. We ended our meal by splitting the coconut dessert. So light and decadent. We didn't make reservations so we had to sit at the bar. Jose was very helpful as well as engaging. The restaurant is small but the space is utilized beautifully. You won't regret visiting there...I promise.

Small but excellent selection of fish, beef,pork and lamb, cooked to perfection. Very comfortable dining room, covered patio and outdoor patio with fireplace. A perfect place for a great meal with friends.

Wonderful food, service and ambience. Great vibe. I had the filet--perfectly cooked, very delicious. Great wine choices. One thing I would prefer--more of a potato selection. Cauliflower does not do it for me. I want a baked, twice-baked or mashed, and preferably a choice of the three. Swordfish was excellent, apps were 10/10. Highly recommend.

Always an amazing experience! Robert cooks hands-down the best filet I've ever had in my entire life. And I am somewhat of a filet connoisseur. Spence is always killing it on the grill as well. The entire kitchen staff need huge kudos because they always deliver impeccable food time after time. Arthur is one of our servers - besides Ryan the owner of course. He always goes above and beyond to help us with anything we may need. Jose is the bartender that every restaurant wishes they had. If you need a date night or a place to go and hang out and be in good company this is the place for you! We always feel like we're at home and these are our people. I promise you- you will never be disappointed. Every single time we've ever gone it's been 10 out of 10 on service, food, and atmosphere. We honestly couldn't ask for a better date night spot or family dinner spot in Ocean Springs! Everyone on the coast needs to visit! we refer all of our friends are out of town to come here as well.

For all the recommendations I read about this place, it did not live up to its hype. Caesar salad tasted like a bag salad, the red wine was warm, and we were a little rushed by the server. The crab cakes were tasty, as was the roasted cauliflower, but the veal chop and fish of the day were very underwhelming for the price.

Had dinner on July 3rd on the rear patio. Great atmosphere. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent drinks to start. Veal chop, lamp chops, perfectly cooked. Fish choices were spot on. A wonderful experience and recommended to those that go to Ocean Springs

Service is amazing, ambience is cozy (especially if you dine outside near the fireplace under the fairy lights), and the food never fails to be anything but delicious. It's become a family favorite as they always accommodate my gluten and soy allergies.

All I can say is that the food at this restaurant is better than anything you can get at any of the casinos or any of the fine dining around. Service is great, atmosphere is pleasant, and the food was "oh my God" good. We went here for our 21st wedding anniversary and over all these years, we have tried everything from Bay St Louis to Ocean Springs. Casinos and to everything in between (at least 20 fine dining restaurants prior to this). I got the Lamb Chops (AWESOME) and my beautiful bride got the fish of the day (Red Snapper). If you've read my reviews, I usually don't grovel like this, but it really is that good. ENJOY

What-An-Experience! I've probably walked by this place dozens of times and today, for some reason, took up a table on the patio. My Bloody Mary was beyond being "on point." As a resident of New Orleans I take pride in this particular Cocktail and these folks did not disappoint! The Crisp Shrimp and Crab Cake Appetizers were the start of our culinary experience! The French Panini was tasty as was the House Salad. To top this was their Service. Arthur was cordial friendly, and a great guide through our experience. BRAVO!

Lovely white tablecloth restaurant with a lovely small bar and if it hadn't been so hot we might have tried sitting outside on the patio. We opted to sit at the bar and I had a blackberry margarita and Laura had a nice cold martini. Hosea is a wonderful, funny bartender and has great knowledge of his products. He spoke of the new tequilas coming out in some different flavors. We had reservations so we sat at a table close to the bar and our server was Arthur. Arthur had some recommendations so we went with crab claws in butter. Laura had veal piccata and I had grilled pompano which was delicious. We also had roasted beets and double baked cauliflower which were amazing. And then(drum roll please) we had the lemon icebox pie. This pie just melted in your mouth!! We will definitely be back!! Amazing place, people and food. Thank you for a great evening!!

Stopped in for lunch yesterday. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. Goat cheese appetizer was outstanding as was the chicken BLT. Very fresh ingredients, great use of spice. We will be back to try other items!

Maison De Lu never disappoints. If you are looking for a restaurant that is beautiful and more upscale for a dinner date, this would be your place. The food is very good and reasonably priced. We usually do our work Christmas parties here because they have a beautiful patio dining area in the back with fireplace and heaters when it's cold. Service is always satisfactory. Highly recommend

Delicious locally owned and operated in scenic downtown Ocean Springs. Great food and service!

Stopped in for happy hour, which is $2 off cocktails, wine, appetizers. Just had wine, but clearly the bartender was a skilled mixologist for specialty cocktails and had just won an award for one of his signature cocktails--other patrons were praising their drinks. Sat at the bar and ordered crabcake and goat cheese torte appetizers. Both were absolutely delicious! There is also a very local vibe of regulars who are extraordinarily welcoming and friendly. Before I knew it, my party of 1 became a party of 6, with folks offering to buy me drinks, engaging in fun conversations, recommendations for the rest of my stay, and exchanging contact info. Highly recommend this place.

The fried pita that came with two of our appetizers was so good. The goat cheese paired well with the smoked salmon. The red snapper was flaky on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. Great cocktails and wine menu. Low lit, calming vibe.

Delicious food - didn't have a reservation, but were able to eat at the bar. I had rainbow trout special with twice baked cauliflower and a small salad. Daughter had salmon with sautéed mushrooms and onions and small salad. All very good! I will come back to Maison de Lu next time I'm in Ocean Springs!

Everything was wonderful. Our server Jason was warm and welcoming. I ordered the salmon salad for lunch and a mango margarita. My husband ordered the shrimp po boy and enjoyed it All around delightful. Thank you.

Visited for the first time 1/10. Loved the atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. I ordered the veggie panini with fried eggplant and sweet potato fries. Awesome sandwich. Also had a bottle of Imagery cab that went well with the meal. Definitely will return.

Service 5* Appetizer 6* coconut shrimp Entrees 5* Brined pork chop and salmon Dessert 7* BEST BREAD PUDDING EVER! Atmosphere 4* Overall a 5* experience. The loud crowd around the bar distracts from what could be an exceptional dining experience. Sure, from reading the reviews we accepted this possibility, and like I said, it's still a 4 star atmosphere. Will we go back? Absolutely.

My wife and had lunch on a Saturday while on a weekend getaway in Ocean Springs. We really enjoyed Maison De Lu. The place is small, but the waiter was very good and the food as well. It isn't quite 5 stars, but we would visit again Marty

In town to visit my sister and brother-in-law, and went out to eat to enjoy a meal while they were attending a previously scheduled engagement. This was the recommendation and I'm so glad it was. It was a lovely experience from beginning to end, and we would certainly want to come back and experience more of the menu, in the future for dinner, we had the 8oz Filet Mignon and the Brined pork Chop - both very tender and cooked at just the right temperature. For sides we had the Caesar salad and the twice baked cauliflower which was especially delicious. It was a rainy night so we sat inside and in the corner of the restaurant that was a little cramped and near the kitchen, but there was an outdoor patio that looked very inviting if it were not for the rain and had a large open fireplace that would be very inviting on a warm evening. The table service was very good. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

May I start by saying it was a great disappointment, parking is difficult to find, drop my wife off so can park, block away! One of the owners Randy sitting out front having a drink, sees my wife having difficulty trying to get up the curb and sidewalk, he looks down from his thrown, tells her where to pass in the dark instead of being a gentlemen. Walk in first thing we see is a big TV and a bar of load people and server in a black t-shirt not romantic to say the least, sit yourself, we sat in the corner to try to have some privacy, Lady gives us a menu, 15 min later she takes our drink order, then t-shirt man screams from across the room listen I'm telling this table the specials if you like to listen... I'm sitting at this table, with my wife trying to enjoy a romantic get away I find my self in a place where redneck tries to be New York.,On the wall they trying to sell paintings from $325.00 and up and art lessons, while I'm sitting looking at white table cloths and cheap salt-pepper grinders... The food was ok the 14oz chop was cooked well and moist, my wife's fried shrimp platter was no better than any shrimp basket. She enjoyed the dessert coconut tart , their signature dish. Then I'm getting ready to leave listening to the people that were over served wine and drunk, to go to the restroom to find a storage locker open, where they store napkins, to go trays and cups and other items for food!!! Really in the men's bathroom next to the toilet WOW upset was the least of my feelings! This just made me so nauseous I had to leave quickly, talk to the t-shirt man he, was more upset the storage locker was left open for me to see, than the food trays, napkins, cups and flatware was stored in a men's bathroom. So I will be calling the board of health on Monday, from what people have written on Yelp and what I saw and tasted I do not know how they are still in business.... Salad only house made lemon vinaigrette and ranch from a bottle cocktail sauce straight bottle flavor... Over priced, service not what I expected never again unless I want to waste my money on a drunk fest eat at a truck stop....

The Jefferson Davis Supper Club selected Maison De Lu at the suggestion of one of its members. They hosted a group of 12 of us with ease. Food was delicious. Beautiful Restaurant.

Found this place on yelp and figured we would try it. The experience redefined how we define dining! The atmosphere is elevated enough to to be refined yet relaxed enough to be casual while not feeling esoteric. The music was calming and rounded out dinner so well we almost asked for their playlist. For food we had coconut shrimp and goat cheese torte. The coconut shrimp came with a pineapple horseradish sauce which was to die for. For dinner my girlfriend got the chicken special with goat cheese and balsamic reduction. The chicken was seasoned impeccably and super moist. I had the triple tail fish with a lemon Parmesan risotto with twice baked cauliflower. I thought the lemon was a touch too strong on the risotto but the dish was satiating. Topping it all off we got the coconut vanilla pecan desert with whipped cream and caramel topping. We hope to come back sooner rather than later

Fantastic food! It was a little loud inside and the prices were a little higher than I thought they should be, but the service was great and the food was done perfectly.

Ryan provides dependable quality food every time. Pork chop is awesome and the goat cheese tort app is perfection too!

This place is absolutely amazing, we went there for lunch, and they allowed me to order from the dinner menu, I ordered the New Zealand rack of lamb, best lamb I have had ever! Even though we were only spending a couple of days in the area, the next day we were trying to find a place for lunch, and we were drawn back here, I got the lamb again, and it was as good or better than the day before, score 100%. My wife got the turkey sandwich off the lunch menu and they made it into a wrap and it was also incredible, make sure you get the twice baked cauliflower, and the roasted beets. I only wish we lived here, so I could come more often, I noticed there is a lot of locals as everyone seems to be greeted by name.

Perfect place for a ladies lunch. We sat outside in the courtyard and were very comfortable with the breeze from the fans. The balsamic shrimp salad was light and refreshing. The chicken salad wrap had cranberries and the Turkey avocado wrap was stuffed with bacon. It was a toss up between the lemon icebox pie and white chocolate bread pudding as to which is the best.

Not a fan.. service was rushed, and it was not an intimate experience at all. Told the server it was my partner's birthday, and they didn't acknowledge it. Meal was overpriced and lackluster. Got the lambchops, crab cakes, salmon salad. Even the drinks were nothing special. Save your $ and find another spot.

Anytime we have dinner at OS we end the night at Madison De Lu for a night cap and their bread pudding. Best bread pudding on the entire gulf coast. Don't miss out on trying it!
