The Best New Restaurants in New York City of 2025 (So Far) | Condé Nast Traveler

"I was taken by Maison Passerelle’s boldly veined marble and sunset‑colored walls inside Printemps; Chef Gregory Gourdet leans away from a predictable brasserie toward flavors inspired by former French colonies. That means oysters with a pikliz mignonette, citrus‑cured kampachi brightened by smoked coconut milk, and a dry‑aged strip steak rubbed with a Haitian coffee‑chili spice blend served with fries and Creole ketchup. Finish with the coconut chiboust and a toasted‑coconut lime sorbet—I found the dessert hauntingly good." - Charlie Hobbs

"Nestled within the luxe and glamour of Printemps is this stylish restaurant by Chef Gregory Gourdet, who pulls French, African and Asian influences into a tight menu teeming with personality. Striking tilework, an open kitchen and a green, patterned booth make for a distinct, photo-ready setting. Mature and composed, dishes like smoked beets with nuoc cham and pickled strawberries or asparagus soup with crab and grilled cucumber deliver flavor and finesse in spades. Duck glazed in cane syrup and finished with a tamarind jus is pure fireworks, while jasmine rice with red kidney beans is at once subtle, confident and deeply satisfying. Beautiful cocktails round out the experience." - Michelin Inspector

Best New Restaurants in Manhattan, NYC, July 2025, According to Eater NY | Eater NY

"Printemps, the fancy department store from Paris that landed in Fidi, is all about lavish, curated experiences. That extends not only to its selection of hard-to-find beauty products and designer clothing items, but also to food and beverage offerings — all overseen by James Beard-winning chef Gregory Gourdet, known for his restaurant Kann, in Portland, Oregon. The layout at Printemps in general isn’t the most user-friendly, but the space is gorgeous, and at various nooks, you’ll find a bakery, a Champagne bar, and now, its flagship full-service restaurant Maison Passerelle (which has its own street-level entrance). Under Gourdet, in partnership with Kent Hospitality, this restaurant is more interesting than it needed to be. A menu that takes Caribbean food and fine dining to new heights through dishes like cane syrup-glazed duck, best ordered with a side of green plantains. Leave room for pastry chef Rachel Green’s desserts." - Emma Orlow
